OOC: Hey guys, it's Geoff from Achievement Hunter here. Nah, I'm just screwing with ya. It's Migrant from RP Hunter here. :P Anyway I'm trying a few things new here in this thread. For starters, I'm getting rid of enemy health bars in this thread! So hopefully that'll encourage more narrative play and less blind x-dyne spam. Second, I'm telling y'all right off the top that there's one fight in this thread. The rest of it is talking. And yes, this will dive into some Mig backstory (FINALLY, before anyone can beat me to explaining this stuff). And third, the player cap here is gonna be four people. ---------------------------------------- IC: *The setting, for now, is a park at night... Migrant is sitting on a bench swirling a finger around in the air, thinking....*

*Shaigis walks into view, something obviously on her mind* Oh... Hey you two.

Yeah.... beautiful. I'm just concerned all of the sudden. You saw today's paper, right? There's a new batch of heroes out there, and they were taking on Buff Boy. If he's being active again.... we're in trouble.

*Mario comes out of a pipe* Awlfully quiet. *Mario notices Migrant* Excuse me, miss, I seem to be lost.

Migrant

Mmm, true.... I mean what's the worst that could happen? It's not like he has an even more powerful alter ego or anything. Say, do you two have some free time?

*she sighs* It's always something new with this guy, huh?

Only slightly. Um... are you looking for a hotel? I think there's one that-a-way. *points to a suspicious looking hotel over yonder*

Perhaps i'll stay the night. Regardless, it doesn't seem to be getting too late yet. How about I buy you all a cup of coffee? It seems I have nothing much else to do these days.

Well coffee sounds nice, but actually I was thinking of doing a little investigating. Remember that time I tried to open a portal to "home?"

Wonder what'd happen if we went through that. Don't you? I mean it didn't seem very "homey."

A portal? Are you refering to warp pipes? I'm sorry, as a plumber i'm afraid my social network is very limited.

Woah. A portal came out of nowhere? This reminds me of that one fighting game. I better check this out. *Mario shouts "Wahoo!" and leaps straight into the portal*

*Shaigis looks around, and the next jumps in* Wheeeeee~

Well I guess we're ready now. You first, Yuki.

.... Alright. *Yuki leaps in without a second thought.... irony?*

*Irony? Whyever so? Anyway, Mig jumps in as well before the rift shuts itself! The group that jumped, find themselves now standing amidst an ocean of stars. Colored nebula drifting about in the distance. The path they stand on seems comprised of stardust itself, glittering lightly in the many lights.* Woah.....

*Mario steps in front of the group.* Careful, looks can be deceiving when interdimensional travel is involved. I think it'd be best if I led. I have experience with astral objects, after all.

Migrant

Well.... there's only one way to go... *She's right, they're on some kind of circular platform, and the only way off is a path that snakes its way upwards. Curiously, if they look down they can see patches of inky darkness. And even, occasionally, watch a star blink out.*

Mario

*Mario jumps off the platform* Wahoo! *Mario steadies himself in the air and attempts to land on his feet*

*she looks up at the path* Welp onwards, and upwards I suppose.

*A figure trails the group from a safe distance behind to not alert the group.* It'd be a pain if Migrant got in trouble here, but I doubt the people with them would be all too happy to see me...

*A brown haired man in a white coat walks in, noticing the group and walking up before stopping in front of Shadow Yu Your that terrorist planning to use that poison arent you, although you did dye your hair... kinda like my dead girlfriend, she dyed.

*The other Yu laughs a bit.* Didn't think you'd see me lurking in the corner... I already told you I don't want to alert anyone. I share an appearance with someone who's caused quite a bit of trouble, after all.

Not this Yu. He's against the normal Yu. Anyway.... we probably shouldn't dawdle here too long. Momo and Shino may be drinking you out of milk and home as we speak.

Wellllll.... we should probably get moving if everyone is here now who intends to be. *Starts walking along the path. It's not dangerously narrow, but it'd be a bad place for a fight. Good thing there's no fight here. Actually, there's no real signs of anything living here...* Man... some "home" huh....?

*Brave then begins to walk down the path, noticing that its particularly narrow Hmm, this path seems devoid of life, kinda like my girlfriend. *Brave then takes the cake, pulling out a scalpel and cutting clean through it with ease, then eating it while continuing walking Thank you Intern, you would have made a good husband for my dead girlfriend.

I wonder why thinking of home made a hole to hear, then..... *After twisting along and possibly turning back around at one point in the ascent, they come upon a.... door. Not grandiose like a certain Door to Darkness nor plush like a certain Velvet Room. It was wooden and simple. A deep shade of purple, with golden stars on it....*

*The other Yu looks at the door from behind the group with a hint of excitement in his eyes.* Interesting door, maybe we should get a move on though. Never know what might be lurking in the shadows. *The other Yu smirks slightly.*

*Brave then moves up to the door, knocking on it and waiting for a response Well, hopefully there is someone on the otherside, alive of course, unlike my dead girlfriend.

*Almost as soon as Brave touches the door, the air around them seems to chill several degrees....* Yes, a truly interesting door.... I must admit, you're doing far better than I expected. Maybe letting you wriggle out of that void was a blessing in disguise after all.... *There's a sudden welling up of DARKNESS as a trio of portals appear.* Now, stand aside so I can break that door down.

*The excitement in the other Yu's eyes seems to grow as the darkness wells up, but he backs up regardless to let the mastermind do his work.* Pretty eager to get that door open? You have some idea of what's behind it, I take it? And the fact that someone like you is willing to help us says a lot about what that something is.

Alright, sounds like a plan. Unlike my dead girlfriend, she didn't have a plan. *Brave then takes a step back, moving away from the door

*From within the wellsprings of darkness emerge two Shadows... and one very large Heartless....* You're right, I do care what's behind that door. Or rather, who. Now, stand aside, or be made to stand aside!

Um... guys.... I REALLY don't think this guy means anything nice right now. He's the one who decided to stick me in some void and killed Shaigis!

I'M THE DOCTOR AND I'LL HANDLE THIS! *Emu puts a pump-thingy around the doorknob and begins increasing the preasure* This may hurt a little.

Aren't we supposed to get across? Wouldn't him breaking the door help us? I'm not really sure what we are doing here.

.... So.... You're... YOU'RE THE FUCK HEAD! *Her eyes glow angrily, and a blue figure forms behind her... Although it's obviously not Samael*

Migrant

You're going to have to trust me on this one.... this guy only means bad news. Better he's not hanging around when we do open that door. *her rapier appears in a flash of light*

Shadow_Yu

*The other Yu almost seems disappointed but his excitement soon returns.* Well, if that's how it's gotta be... *He slowly pulls out a strange black blade, a strange aura seems to be coming off it.*

*The large Heartless starts to advance toward the door while the two Shadows move toward Shaigis and Migrant.* Defiant to the bitter end, I hate that in people... ++BATTLE START++

Ah okay then, Intern! Let us fight. *Brave then pulls out a green device and attaches it onto his belt, reaching into his pocket Ex Aid, lets show how doctors fight. *Brave then pulls out a blue object, spinning it in the air before clicking a small button on the side, summoning a hologram [TADDLE QUEST] *Chests seem to appear all over the stage as the game area is summoned Henshin. [CLICK AND LOAD] *Brave then gets engulfed in light as images of other Riders spin around him, then striking with his left hand, hitting an imagine of a blue knight, as he transforms into a short clunky white figure, with blue accents [LETS GAME] [MECCA GAME] [MUCCHA GAME] [WHAT'S YOUR NAME] [IM A KAMEN RIDER] Proceeding with Lvl 2 *Brave then disappears, warping through space and exiting thorough a door instantly vaporizing after he exits, coming out in a skin tight suit, decorated by blue knight armour as he summons his Gashacon Sword. [FIGHT FOR THE FUTURE FIGHT FOR THE ADVENTURE WELCOME TO TADDLE QUEST] Let us proceed with the... Black Mask elimination?

So, i'm sorry it has to come to this... *Emu pulls out a gamer drive and transforms into Kamen Rider Ex-Aid level 2. It's a pink body suit* It appears we have to fight! To cure this door of gamer syndrome!

You guys take the big one! Me and Mig got these other ones!

Shadow_Yu

*The other Yu fakes a sigh while still smiling.* What a pain this is... Well, let the "game" begin! *The other Yu stands still and swings the black sword as a dark shockwave flies through the air and hits the shadow near Migrant.*

Kamen_Rider_Ex-aid

*Emu does a flip through the air and then dabs, facing the shadowy figure*

COME OH GREAT QUEEN OF SHADOWS! SCATHACH, MYRIAD ARROWS! *a rain of light arrows falls from the sky, piercing the smaller shadows, and the big one as well*

Alright this shouldn't be too hard. *It was advancing right on her, so what's the harm in taking a pot shot at the shadow, huh? Just so long as someone else gets the big guy...*

Kamen_Rider_Ex-aid

*Ex-aid then punches the giant heartless.*

*Messiah pulls the... I dunno pillar thing of it's back and swings it like a blade towards the large heartless!*

*Alright so let's get started with the good news. Between the shockwave and the slash from Migrant, the first combatant falls! But don't get too excited, for out of the same gateway appears another medium-sized Shadow.... this time advancing toward Shadow Yu. While the other Shadow reaches Shaigis and swings its arm downward at her! Oh, and the big one gets a little closer to the door. Seems the bigger they are, the slower they are...* Hmph, you may have brought friends, but I have brought an army.

Shadow_Yu

*The other Yu looks directly at the charging shadow. He smirks as it approaches.* Well, seems like you know how to keep me entertained at least... *The other Yu takes the black blade as the aura around it seems to intensify before he delivers to large cuts at the shadow as it approaches him.*

Kamen_Rider_Brave

*Brave then runs towards the giant heartless, sword in his hand as he slashes horizontally, and again vertically before taking a step back and thrusting into it. I say no thank you to your existence!

Kamen_Rider_Ex-aid

*Ex-aid does a flip and jumps onto the giant heartless. He runs up its back and stands on its neck. He then begins rapidly punching it in the back of its head*

Shaigis! *Yuki runs over to her and slashes at the shadow! Messiah continues it's assault on the large heartless, swinging its pillar thing down!*

Shadowwaifuaigis

*Shaigis manages to gracefully dodge out of the shadows reach, and roundhouse kicks it in the head* Not today, you asshole!

Migrant

Army or not, looks like we have the upper hand. *Repays Yu the favor, and then some. Summoning up Fortuna and unleashing a barrage of LASERS to hit all enemies on the battlefield!* We've fought tougher.

TheMastermind

*The large one tries to take a swing at the door, but is dropped before it's able to connect. While Yuki and Shaigis, and Migrant and Shadow Yu are able to clear the rest of the battlefield.* Hmm... it seems I underestimated you. Let's just skip the theatrics and go right to the part where you lose. *A snap echoes through the area as three more wellsprings of DARKNESS open. As six enemies now step out onto the battlefield. Three more large shadows and heartless, two medium (who start to advance on Yuki and Mig), and one.... tiny bomb-like creature that starts dashing toward the door.*

This isn't getting us anywhere... Messiah Picaro! Megidolaon! *The Persoan nods and puts the blade back on... well it's back. It then raises one hand into the air as a large ball of Almighty energy drops onto the field!*

Oh yeah, like I'm really going to let that happen! *Shaigis dashes forwards, and punts the bomb as hard as she can, sending it careening into one of the bigger shadows*

Shadow_Yu

*The other Yu has a bored expression on their face as their eyes begin to glow with a yellow light.* This "game" was fun for a while but it just feels like you're getting desperate to win now. Persona... Vorpal Blade... *The other Yu holds his blade up for a second before swinging it wildly as another arm appears from thin air with a much larger blade. Shockwaves are sent all around the area avoiding allies and aiming for foes.*

Time for more power *Brave then pulls out a strange object, one yellow, spinning the object into the air before clicking a buttons on them, summoning a holograms behind him, even summoning forth a small DJ robot that fly around scratching a DJ disk before returning to Brave [ DORIMEFA BEAT] Henshin *Brave then inserts the object into the top of the Gamer Drive, making a very loud noise for everyone to hear [CLICK AND LOAD] Proceeding with Lvl 3 [CLICK AND UP] *The small robot then flys in close to Brave, disassembling with its pieces flying onto Brave's head as he dons a pair of yellow headphones, a DJ turntable on his sword arm, and topping it off with a speaker on his shoulder [DO-DO-DOREMIFA SO-LA-TI-DO OKAY! DOREMIFA BEAT!] Lets see if you'll end up like me girlfriend. *Brave then begins to scratch the turn table, as notes fall from the sky, directed at a large heartless, if it doesn't dance it explodes

Migrant

*Mig, seeing the approaching onslaught, backs up toward the door, using Fortuna again to fire a laser at the medium enemy coming after her.* Okay, I'm gonna watch the door I think...

*Upon having a bomb kicked into it by Shaigis, one of the large shadows drops to the ground and dies. While the Megidoloan and Vorpal Blade carve the medium enemies into dust. Also, for the record, one heartless actually does stop to try and out-dance Brave. It tries, but it's a big slow heartless and naturally fails. But it tanks the explosion like a champ. Nobody back in the Nexus will believe this, though. However, two of the large ones are still advancing. And two new medium and large enemies appear. The mediums going after Yuki and Yu this time, while the large ones, naturally, go for the door.* I can't believe it, half of them gone already....?

Shadowwaifuaigis

This is getting annoying! *missile launchers suddenly appear on her shoulders, and she sends missiles surging into all the shadows*

Shadow_Yu

*The yellow glow fades as the arm that appeared next to the other Yu fades away in a red light. The shadowy aura grows more intense around the blade once more as the other Yu waits for the shadow to run up close to him before attempting to cut it down with a swift strike that leaves behind a dark trail.*

Kamen_Rider_Brave

Tch! This doesn't end.. *Brave then scratches the turn table for effect before drawing his sword, running into the fray and slashing the same dancing heartless in the body, before jumping ontop and continuing to slash its back You'll end up dead, like my girlfriend.

You want some eh? *Yuki swings his blade at the one of the medium one as Messiah disappears. In it's place Thanatos Picaro appears! It draws its sword and slashes the air, sending a wave of Curse energy towards the large heartless!*

Migrant

Okay I got this! *Switches Personas as well, it's Okuninushi time! Lines up a good straight-line wind to blow back and damage all enemies!*

TheMastermind

*You guys did a number on the large ones, with two of them dropping straight-up, and another dropping from the gust of wind. Additionally, the Medium ones once again fold like a cheap seat.* Grr.... this is getting out of hand.... fine, I'll just have to up the ante even further. *A seventh portal now opens as a small bomber starts a mad dash toward the door, followed up by another large one. And three medium ones now. Splitting their attention between Yuki, Yu, and Shaigis.*

Shadowwaifuaigis

You never learn huh? *Shaigis once again punts the bomb, kicking it back into the bigger ones face* Now! Scathach, Maragidyne!

Kamen_Rider_Brave

Hmph... time for a finisher this up... *Brave then takes out the gashat from the Gamer Driver, putting it into his side receiver as he slams on the button a few times [KIMIWAZA] [DORIMIFA CRITICAL FINISH!] *Brave then scratches on his turn table as he spins it a few times, the speaker beginning to play a loud beat as he continues to spin the disk, then exploding in a screech of sounds, ripping through all the heartless with a wave of sound

Let's end this! Thanatos Picaro! Door of Hades! *The Persona sheaths it's sword and starts gathering Almighty energy above the field. It then bursts above all the heartless!*

(Correction: Hmph.. time for a finisher to even this up)

Shadow_Yu

*The other Yu sighs genuinely this time as he stares down the shadows.* You're right, this is getting out of hand. What's the point of all these little guys? Didn't anyone ever tell you? If you want something done right... *Yu takes the black blade in one hand and with great force plunges it into the ground as the shadowy aura increases. The shadowy aura begins rising from the ground and attacking a few of the enemies at random by ramming straight into them with great force before the aura disperses and Yu pulls the blade back up.* ..you gotta do it yourself.

OOC: Man I don't even need to use Mig this round. Now just wipe up the remainder here. *Honestly the shadowy aura might even have been overkill, as the combined attacks utterly shred the opposing group. The bomb actually getting kicked back into one of the portals, causing it to explode. But the remaining six portals unload one final batch of enemies. Two small bombs this time, two large hulks, and a medium for Brave and a medium for Migrant.* Interesting... most interesting...

*Thanatos holds one hand out and sends curse... line... things... towards all the heartless.... yeah I dunno any other way to better explain that.*

*The other Yu looks somewhat despondent before sheathing his blade with a smile on his face.* I used more power than I wanted to waste on some pathetic shadows. I'll let you all handle the rest, you seem to be quite the capable group, after all. *He smirks a bit before stepping back a bit and sitting on the ground with his legs crossed and one hand holding up his head, still grinning all the while.*

*Brave then seeing the medium heartless, takes a step back keeping his sword at his chest Damn... I already used my finisher to finish off that last wave... let's try another rhythm! *Brave then attempts to ignore the medium one, running away to use the turntable on one of the large hulk, giving it a choice to dance or become a dead heartless, kinda like his girlfriend

Shadowwaifuaigis

Eh... Fuck it! Freeze them all! Mabufudyne! *Scath sends a wave of ice forward, smashing into all the enemies*

Migrant

Alright. One last shot, then.... Fortuna! *A final barrage of lasers blasts the battlefield! And when the dust clears....*

*All the enemies, and their portals, are gone.* Impressive. Your skills are truly marvelous.... if only they were in more, capable hands. Very well, I have nothing left to send at you today. Perhaps the next time we meet, I shall bring an army of thousands instead of dozens... *The temperature seems to return to normal, and there's a soft click that comes from the door...*

Yeah yeah, a thousand chumps are still chumps. How cliche can you get, anyway? *She turns and looks at the door....* So.... I wonder what was behind her that he wanted so badly.

Hmph, I will be the best doctor in the world, my skills are in the must capable hands, so I say no thank you to your "army". *Brave then turns to the door, hearing the click as he points the sword towards it, staying on edge

Oh blah blah blah All you assholes are the same. *Notices the door click* Well then...

Shadow_Yu

*The other Yu stands up before stretching a bit and looking at the door.* This should be interesting...

*Nervously.... opens. The door. And steps inside.....* Well, come on. *she whispers*

*steps inside behind Mig* I swear if there's more enemies...

*The other Yu walks in casually with a smile on his face making sure to be behind everyone else first.*

*Yuki steps forth.* Please don't let there be a being born from humanity's negativity...

*Brave then steps inside, cautious of what's behind the door This place is pretty strange...

*Inside is.... something of a room. Not well furnished, in fact it doesn't even have walls. The only thing of note is a single desk in the center, where a blonde-haired woman seems to be focusing on something. I know a great deal. Considering my role here. I suppose to explain my relation to the one you call "Migrant," I should start with my own role. As I said, these stars are other worlds throughout the multiverse. Each star is a core, or a heart, however you would like to imagine it. I am one of many beings who creates these cores. I had actually just finished one when you arrived. The multiverse is continually expanding, so it must continue to be filled with new worlds. I create a core here, and cast it out into the ocean to take its place where it may. An to become whatever it may. Other beings might try to take a more active role in the worlds they create, but I'd rather keep my involvement at a minimum. However, as you saw, there is also Darkness in the multiverse. Swallowing any world in its path. To combat that, I created "attendants" if you will, using discarded pieces of worlds. Three of them, in fact. One of whom, Michiko, eventually became the person you call Migrant. OOC: Whee it's 3AM sorry if that came out weird.

Some. Not all. But yes, worlds falling into darkness. There are many such causes, but most ultimately involve the complete corruption or destruction of a world's core. A topic I'm sure you're all familiar with. As for a savior, that isn't the right term for it. Maintainer, assistant, attendant, those are far better terms. In the end, the people who are saving worlds from darkness are people like you. To be quite honest, I thought Michiko had been lost forever. You see, your Nexus is.... a strange place. Its core is different, unnatural, as evidenced by its repeated attempts to collapse on itself.... not to mention that usurper God, Succoth-Benoth.

The Nexus is the world you came form. In a way, I suppose you could call it a scar on the multiverse. An unsustainable accident, expanding by consuming other worlds, before contracting when its core becomes unstable. Then.... it creates, or absorbs, a new core and the cycle begins again. And I want nothing from this.... well, perhaps I do want something. But that something is to continue to stave off the darkening of the multiverse. If, in a single day for the Nexus, one thousand worlds should fall, then ten thousand more shall be born.
