Call and Response
A small laptop sits on the bench of a park. Its screen flickers a little. There is a program on-screen, with a box to type something in. A hastily-scribbled sticky note encourages people to try this out.

as ina walks through the park, she notices said laptop What the heck? she decides to type in "Hello?"

As per his usual routine, a young man is walking around when he conveniently notices the laptop. He decides to check it out, despite his conscience telling him otherwise. My plot senses are tingling.. so naturally, I should check it out since it's pretty much inevitable. Rom walks over to the laptop and types something in the text box. Hello? Is anyone online?

*Sam wanders into the area* Evening you two. Not interrupting a date or something, am I?

Ummm..... What? she's completley confused by the response, and types in "did you accidently slam your head on the keyboard or something?"

she glaresangrily at Sam. No you idiot! He just happened to be here!
Rom_Dolos
Rom eyes the screen intensely, and he turns on his phone from his armband. He then turns towards Sam. Oh, hey Sam. We just found this conveniently placed laptop, and we're trying to... communicate with someone on the other side, I think. He then shows the previous message. Is that some sort of code or something?

*Sam chuckles at Ina's response* 's matter Kid. Can't take a joke? Heh heh heh. *He then looks at the computer* You got a code breaker?

He then opens an app on his phone, revealing a bunch of different codes and languages said to be as good as google translate. It is mainly focused on codes than actual languages, and the like. He then gets on the language selection screen. Will this do? That's all I got.

*Minato, who looks older, walks to the group* Hey guys.
Sam
Suppose that'll work. *Sam scans Rom's app before displaying it on a holographic screen. He cracks his neck* Let's see if this is a code I can decipher. If not, it's probably just broken. *Sam starts attempting to decipher the messages on the laptop* I should get to work inventing a superior me level decoding program of my own. You'd figure I'd have made one by now, huh? Ah well. I'll get on it when I get back to the lab

*He looks at the laptop* What's up with the computer?

she looks at Minato derpily Minato? That you?

*Minato looks back at Ina* ...Yeah it's me.
Rom_Dolos
Finally, something I recognize... He reads the binary and turns to the group with a confused look on his face. Who the hell is Julius?

with the same derby expression, she studies him a bit It's just that you look so different!
Sam
Julius, hmm? Julius Caeser? The big Pete looking thing from Kindom Hearts 3D? The muppet? Probably none of those.
Rom_Dolos
Wait a minute... Rom ponders for a second, his eyes widening a second later Wait, does it mean Julius as in Julius Caesar? As in Caesar's Cipher? Was that what it was? Seems like a stretch.
Minato_Yuki
Oh right, my age. I completely forgot about that. *He looks back at Rom and Sam* So what are you guys doing?
Rom_Dolos
Oooooooooh! I got it! Rom pops the original text into his phone's translator. Oh, it just says "Hi there."
Sam
So, it's shifted. I see.
Rom_Dolos
And the second one... He types again with a smirk on his face. "NO IM NOTHURT I DONT EVEN HAVE A PHYSICAL HEAD TO BE HURT" I see... So it's not an actual person? An A.I? Waiiiiiiiiiiit a sec. The only other A.I. I know is... Coda! He then types something into the laptop. "Coda? Is that you?"

Huh? Who's coda?

He looks back at Ina, smirking. A friend.
Ina
Oh. OK.
Minato_Yuki
(Thinking: I guess they're doing something that involves A.I.'s.) *Minato decides to watch them*

Hmm... Rom scrolls around on his translator and looks back at everyone. This is the only coherent phrase I could find. "CODA YOU KNOW MOM" Rom types back. "Coda created an A.I.?"

"Yep! She created me and Big Bro Scordatura" Oh great. Another AI who thinks it's creator is it's parent and it's fellow creations are family. Had enough of that with Nero's drones... OOC: Until tomorrow then.
