I'd like to note that this is a continuation. I will leave a link to the original topic... in time. We are also expending the player limit, and there won't be any locked slots. We will start up where the last one left off. So ICly someone might've filled you in. Now with all of that said we will begin shortly.

Kotori finds herself in the first safe room Uwa!... That's weird magic......

Hmm..... to go ahead? Or to wait for others..... Kotori goes into a thinking pose

I'll just go. I'm strong enough to handle anything this place can throw at me! Kotori heads up the stairway

Kotori walks up the stairs. The stairway seems to be long.... very long in fact. Almost as if it holds over a thousand steps... a million even. Kotori could hear some voices in the distance... possibly the creatures that inhabit this tower.

C'mon.... how many stairs do you people need! Continues walking the stairway

The stairway finally came to a halt. To her left was a large stained glass window. A star lit sky. There seems to be eleven stars, nine smaller stars and two large stars. As well as a shattered piece next to the large stars. The smaller stars surround the large ones... On her right is another doorway... though it's hard to see what's on the other side.

Behind Kotori is a young man, walking up the steps. So where's more stairs? Seriously, whoever made this place must have a thing for them.

-Jonathan-

Well they don't have much need for them. What was beyond the doorway became more clear. It seems to be... a scale of some kind...

-Infinite-

Footsteps are heard as a masked, bipedal animal wanders into the area. Their right hand covers their right eye out of habit. Two Infinites... Two Rubies... And then there's this place...

A scale? What's it gonna do, judge me? Arkade begins to cautiously walk towards the door.

Getting closer everything became clearer. Before them was a switch, and one the scale was multiple orbs. Six on one side and four on the other.

[Hol runs into the area, almost bumping into Infinite] Alright, hopefully I got far away from that base.

-Infinite-

A scale? Do they expect me to balance it? Ignoring the others, Infinite floats over to the pile of six orbs and attempts to lift one up. If successful, he will put it on the other side.

-Jonathan-

It fails. The orb seems to be too heavy for Infinite.

So we can't move orbs. What happens if we step on the scale? Arkade steps on the side with 4 orbs.

That fails as well. Not changing anything.

If we can't pick them up, then why don't we just try to break them? [Hol tries to shoot one of the six orbs with The Emperor]

Oddly enough it did something. However the bullet was taken into the orb and dissolves.

-Infinite-

It seems that the orbs are too heavy for your weight to make a difference. But perhaps... Infinite flies of to the side of the pile, then charges a red ball of energy. He fires at one of the six-pile balls in an attempt to make it roll off. If I can't lift it, then I can push it.

It connects, however it doesn't even move them. These orbs seem to be too much for them... but what about the switch? It seems like it can be flipped either left or right.

Damn, I thought it would work. [Hol notices the switch] Hey, has anyone tried pulling that?

Infinite, giving up on the orbs for now, floats down and flicks it right.

Kotori wakes up and flips the switch Do you know nothing but brute force?

A single orb appears on the right side of the scale, making it five. However two disappear from the left making it four.

This seems like a puzzle: Get 5 orbs on each side.

One is added, two leave... Infinite thinks for a minute, then keeps flicking the switch right until he can't do so anymore.

From that only two appeared on the right and four disappeared from the left. Leaving seven on one side. It stops working since there's no orbs left on the left side.

Hm. Infinite then does the same thing, but with flicking the switch to the left. This is switch abuse.

Hmmm... Arkade flicks the switch in the other direction as many times as possible.

Three orbs appear on the left and six disappear on the right. Leaving just one on the right.

A single flick to the right, then to the left.

One orb appears on the right as two disappear on the left. Making one and two. Then one appear on the left as the two on the right disappear. Now two and none.

I'm not really good at these kind of puzzles, but I'll give it a shot. [Hol walks up to the switch]

Infinite flicks the switch to the right. One little orb left all alone...

Arkade walks into the previous room and studies the stained glass.

An orb appears on the right as the rest disappear on the left.

Very well. It's simple physics. Instead of lifting the ball itself or pushing it, Infinite grabs one side of the scale's disk/whatever and pushes it upwards. The resulting slanted surface should be enough for the ball to roll on its own...

An unexpected solution... but one that works! The orb rolls off the side and.... falls straight through the floor... The sound of a gate opening echoes through the room... it seems the party has opened up a path.

Good going, sir. Now let's go. Arkade walks through the newly opened path.

Heh. That was more troublesome than expected... Under his mask, Infinite smirks, and he floats towards the new path.

Kotori stands up and makes for the door Congrats, you've managed to brute force your way through the puzzle. So smart. Slow clap

Of course... there's more stairs that curve upwards... However... the air feels slightly off. As if something is watching them.

[Hol Horse starts walking towards the new path]

-Infinite-

Silence, girl. My method, while simple, was efficient enough to not require excessive use of time that math would have created. Infinite is so distracted as he floats up the stairs that he barely notices the presence.

Kotori pulls out her blade and infuses it with lightning Whatever, that's just an excuse because you know you weren't smart enough to solve it correctly.

A spear suddenly lands in front of Arkade, with the tip in the ground! A voice echoes... ???: What reason do you have here? At the Stairway to Heaven?

I suppose that's fine.

-Infinite-

Infinite adjusts his mask with his right hand and narrows his eye at the voice. We're just passing through. There's more to it, but what's it to you?

Arkade raises his hands and slowly walks backwards. I don't really have a reason, but I mean no harm.

It appears that Danksuya was following the group, however he was so silent nobody noticed him until he flicked a lighter loudly, alerting them to his presence as he stares at the spear ...?

[Hol looks around for the thing that threw the spear] Stairway to heaven? I didn't know that people try to kill you on the stairway to heaven.

*A figure floats down and pulls the spear out of the ground. That red armor... the shield... it's the Angel, Power!* Power: I am one of the guardians of this stairway. Leave and you will be spared.

-Infinite-

Infinite lowers his hand until it's straight out in front of him. A few red cubes float around it. Your attempts at intimidation are meaningless. I, Infinite, will not lose to you.

Danksuya shakes his head and draws his crooked sword, giving the angel a death stare as he summons Vulcanus beside him in a burst of light Hmph.

Yeah right, you couldn't beat us if you tried. Just go back to the sky and save yourself the trouble of losing. As she speaks, she infuses the sword with fire, the handguard spurting flames

Oh I'm not leaving this place... [Hol quickly draws The Emperor at Power then fires two bullets at him] ...you are.

-Jonathan-

Power: So.... you refuse. Fools! Only the Messiah may walk upon these steps! Now... you must all be eliminated! Power prepares to attack!

-Jonathan-

And damn my lateness Now, you all can be as descriptive as you like. But await results. The bullet... bounces off the armor. However it seems to have made a scratch. Perhaps aim somewhere else?

Danksuya_Suou

Vulcanus bursts into flames and condenses it into a ball, throwing it into Danksuya as he becomes engulfed in a light flame, slowly condensing it into his sword. Once he's done he has a flaming crooked blade as he holds it near, eyeing Power ...

Unfortunately I must step away for a bit. But I will return with results.

Good luck with that. Kotori infuses her body with wind, giving her a huge agility and speed boost

-Infinite-

Infinite closes his eye, and the red cubes envelop him. Now to focus...

[Hol fires The Emperor at Power's face] I shouldn't even have to aim.

Arkade attempts to stab Power in the chest.

-Jonathan-

Both the bullet and the attack from Arkade connect! However he wasn't down yet, but was pushed back. Power then covered the tip of his spear with light. He then swings it in the air, sending out a wave of bless light!

Is that all? Running through the light, Arkade grabs the sword and drags it up to slice through Power's head.

-Infinite-

The red cubes burst outward upon contact with the light, revealing... Power? It's a carbon copy (appearance-wise, at least) of the angel. "Power" takes advantage of any confusion from this transformation and flies forward, aiming its spear at the angel's face.

Danksuya_Suou

Luckily for Danksuya he's strong to bless and was guarding, so the wave did minimal damage to him ... Danksuya then runs forward and points his blade directly at Power and releases the flames imbued, sending a torrent of fire straight into the angel as he pumps more and more fire magic into it

Kotori jumps back away from the wave, then stops moving as she infuses her body with the power of earth, freezing her to the ground Oh my God.... I'm doing it! I'm gonna do it! She seems excited about something Charges: Flame 4 Frost 4 Lightning 4 Wind 4 Earth 4 Elemental Spica ready to fire!

[Hol swiftly evades the light and shoots Power's face four times]

-Jonathan-

The many attacks sent the angel flying! He lands before the party, his armor badly damaged and his face.... well... best we leave that. Power: You.... you.... are heretics.... unfit... for the new world...

-Infinite-

The fake Power bursts into red cubes, leaving Infinite in its place. Went down easily for such a boastful opponent. But anyway... what is this "new world"?

-Jonathan-

Power: A.... new order... one where you will all- Before he could finish... he suddenly began screaming in pain. Dropping his spear and shield! Power: No... NO! NOOOO!

Danksuya_Suou

Danksuya flicks a lighter and stares down Power, putting it away before bringing his blade next to Power's neck, a bloodlust filling his eyes, but he holds back just slightly, letting his party members ask questions ...

-Infinite-

Wha- some outside interference? Infinite looks around, floating a few inches off the ground. Show yourself!

Gh!... gh!! Kotori doesn't hear any of this as she struggles to keep the 5 elements balanced inside her without dissipating any of them

[Hol just watches without asking any questions]

-Jonathan-

An unknown energy bursts out of Power! Sending everyone near him backwards. The energy fades... Power was an Angel no more.... now he appears more demon than angel. His helm had large horns, a large spike coming out of his back, even his spear and shield appear much more demonic. He picks up these tools and glares at the party with bright purple eyes. Power?: Come you fools.... Face death!

-Infinite-

Gah! Infinite's body glows, and he manages to regain his balance. He lets his feet touch the ground and holds out his hand. So it transformed? I can handle this either way. A stream of red cubes slithers towards the demon, mainly to disorient him.

Danksuya_Suou

Danksuya gets blasted back and gets up with a grunt, taking his sword up again, next time there will be no mercy, ...! Danksuya then summons his persona to the left of him with a burst of light, as it conjures it own blade of fire they dash forward together, doing a slash in an X shape

RRRAAAAGGGGHHH!!! With a mighty heave, Kotori swings her blade down towards the demon! And.............. The magic completely disappears..... ........... huh?...... What?......... Kotori stands flabbergasted at what just happened

Angels and demons? How cliche. Arkade prepares to counter Power's next attack.

The X slash... didn't do much. Power then swung his spear multiple times, sending wave after wave of the same energy that bursts out of him.

Great, he's a demon now. [Hol shoots Power? with The Emperor once] [He then tries to block the waves but he gets knocked back]

Arkade perform 2 slashes in the shape of a cross on Power, then stabs the center.

Kotori, still trying to figure out how she failedgets blindsided by the waves of power GAH!! She Flys back and tries to catch her footing, but her foot slips off a step and she falls further down

Danksuya takes some hits and stumbles back a bit, getting up and not losing any determination however as he charges a raging red ball in his hands with Vulcanese's help, running forward and slamming it into Power, hopefully inducing a rage ..!

-Infinite-

Infinite crosses his arms to guard against the blasts, but they still do some noticeable damage. He snarls and soars up towards the ceiling, then boosts himself downward in a red blur with his Phantom Ruby.

Seeing everyone sent back, Arkade braces himself but is still sent back.

-Jonathan-

Power took some noticeable damage. One of the horns on his helm was gone and his armor seems to be completely damaged, exposing a bright purple core. Power slams his spear down, and from the ground a pillar of energy rises beneath Hol!

-Infinite-

A perfect target! Practically slamming down on the ground to get in front of power, Infinite then springs upwards to land a few slashes and punches to the core. If uninterrupted, he finishes the combo with a kick to launch himself backwards.

Something about that screams weak point. Arkade begins repeatedly striking the core.

Kotori_K

Gh..... Kotori manages to stand back up and begins infusing herself with wind No.... I. Will. Not. Be. Dead. Weight! With a heavy push on her legs, the wind catches her and forces her towards the monster, swinging her blade at its core DIE!!

[Hol looks at the energy under him] Ya kiddin' me? [He then tries to roll out of the way of the energy]

!!! Danksuya sees an opening and capitalizes on it, using his sword like a spear to thrust directly into the core, driving it around after striking to deal lacerations all over its insides

The many strikes to his chest staggered him a lot. He was on the brink of defeat, his tools destroyed, the spike on his back damaged, and the new small hole in his chest... he was near death. Power?: Foools.... heretics.... you... are nothing....

Again, mighty words for someone who just lost so easily. Infinite raises a hand to finish Power off... but decides against it, and steps back to let the others do the work.

Hmph. Danksuya then conjures a ball of fire in his hands and slams it into Power's face, erupting more and more power until it becomes ash

[Hol smirks and pulls out a glass wine bottle from his pocket right before charging at Power and smashing it over his head]

Power?: You..... YOU- Before he finished... a strange blade was driven through his chest! His body then fades away... before them now was a robed figure... ???: Well... there goes that one.

-Infinite-

The air crackles with a red haze around Infinite. He points at the robed figure, letting a few cubes form around himself. You... who are you?

Kotori charges Lightning into her blade Who are you! Talk!

Danksuya_Suou

Danksuya grunts with fire in his eyes as he looks towards the would-be assailant, a circle of red forming around him as he flares with anger, nobody takes his kill ...

[Hol looks up to the figure] Another one? Can we ever get a break?

???: Yeesh. Y'all need to relax... though I don't really have a name do I? I mean not one people call me like this. Let's see.... what's a word that fits me? Evil? Insane? Handsome? Wait, you can't see my face can you?

-Infinite-

Of course I can't. Granted, you can't see mine either, but that's beside the point. Infinite adjusts his mask again. Partly out of habit, and partly because he needed to after the fight. Even if you don't have a name, what is your purpose?

Danksuya loosens his grip on his sword as he calms down a little, letting all of his built up fire dissipate for the time being, flicking a lighter as the unknown figure speaks ...

???: Hmm... I suppose you can call me... Tenebris. Anyway thanks for doing the hard stuff. Weren't for you I'd have to do all of that! And my purpose.... I dunno... I'm just trying to win over more people.

Tenebris: Uhhhhh... I can't really tell you? Anyway a lot of these guys are kinda weak if you hit them in the right spots, so they're kinda useless to me. But sometimes they side with me on accident sooo... you might have to deal with that too. Anyway, I won't get in the way of your little adventure. Just wanted to say thanks. Bye now! .... *Seeing as this person wasn't immediately trying to kill him Danksuya decides that this person couldn't be too bad, he then swipes his blade in the air to clean it off slightly as he gets engulfed in light, gaining a small boost in power as he watches quietly before following the group up the stairs

Such a strange man. He speaks in an odd way... Infinite sighs and lets the cubes fade away, only keeping his red aura to float upwards. To where, who knows?

Tch. And here I thought I could get wrapped up in something fun... She continuesup the stairs, using a very minor healing spell on herself

The party reaches the top of this stairway. On their left was another doorway. In front of them was a door with weak distortion. And on their right was the same stained glass... except one of the smaller stars was gone.

Danksuya shrugs at Arkade and moves towards the door, opening it and taking a look inside

In it... was a table and four seats.... it's a safe room!

Danksuya checks over his equipment for a second before turning to the regular looking door, waiting outside for everyone to gather around as he flicks a lighter on, staring into the flames

Infinite floats into the doorway, letting himself float down into one of the chairs. He taps his claws on the table as he looks around at the safe room. Simple, yet comforting.

Arkade walks next to Dankusya, ready to enter the room.

Here you can rest, or return to come back another day.

There's not much to do here, so it might be best to leave... Infinite floats into the air once more and decides to return to the strange lands he had been taken to. Perhaps he'd come across that faker again...

Two of the party has arrived. It's enough to explore more of the tower.

You the only backup I'm getting? Kotori looks at her disapprovingly

Seems so. Not even sure why I'm here, honestly. Thought I retired.

What even, just don't get in my way. Kotori exits the safe room and enters the other doorway

[Hol appears in the safe room with an empty glass bottle in his hand] Alright, I'm ready to explore again!

The room was dark.... all but for a single white flame...

*Eyerolls and exits* Hmm... white flame, huh? Let me guess, gotta stare into it?

[Hol exits the safe room and follows the others]

-Jonathan-

.... Staring doesn't seem to do anything.

Hmm..... Kotori holds her blade in the fire, hoping to apply it to her sword

-Jonathan-

That it does. Her sword was now covered in this white fire.

Sweet! She quickly checks to see if the fire will burn her

That it also does....

Okay so your sword is a torch now.... but what does that do about moving us forward? Try shining it at the walls?

Uhh, why are you trying to burn yourself?

Shut up! You obviously don't know that SOME Magical fires don't actually burn and do other things as well! Kotori looks around the room with her new "Torch"

Late update but before her was a narrow path...

Welp. Ahead we go. If you have weapons, apply the fire for yourselves, I ain't huddling with you because you're too lazy to. Kotori heads down the narrow hall

[Hol follows Kotori] I wouldn't really call my weapon a weapon, because it's more of a power.

*Attempts to get some white fire for herself, then.*

I suppose your hands light on fire? The path seems to branch off in two directions.

*I used a sword, dangit!* *Chases after the others with the lit sword*

[Hol looks at the two paths] Should we split up?

Kotori_K

That's a shame, guess you're gonna have to put up with being blind then. Kotori heads down the right branch

That path was narrow as well. As it seems only one other has a light. Is it on their hands or a sword? I'm not sure.

Migrant

*Sighs and heads to the left. Kotori never said not to divide and conquer.* You two go the other way, you'll probably need each other.

OOC. Both Kotori and Mig have flaming swords

The left path was narrow as well... The left came to a dead end... but with a strange circle on the ground... The right was just a plain dead end.

........... Tch..... Kotori backtracks, mentally kicking herself along the way

Hmm... looks like this is the right answer.... but what's the circle for? *After a bit of thinking, she tries tracing out the circle with the fire sword.*

That doesn't work.... Kotori returns to the branching point.

Maybe it'll open up a secret passageway or something.

Kotori heads up the left path Stupid adults..... leaving a kid all by herself..... She mutters to herself as she walks

*Stands in the circle, then!* Or it's a trap and Kotori found the right way.

The floor began to shake from that... then it stops... What effect it had is unknown... Kotori reaches the others.

Migrant

Woah! Well.... that certainly did something. *Notices Kotori wander on up* Oh, hey, find anything down to the right?

................ It's about time, I came here thinking you needed help. But I guess you're just slow. Kotori takes one quick look at the situation before speaking, then turns around and heads back and to the right path

The right path felt longer.... in fact there's supposed to be a wall not far in... yet there was none.

.... Should we follow her? I mean there's nothing going on here, so.... *Sets off after Kotori!*

I knew it...... Kotori whispers to herself as she continues further down the hall

[Hol catches up to Kotori and follows her] I feel like a fight's about to happen.

The Party reaches another branch... this time with three paths.

The two go down the seperate paths, and I suppose Mig goes down the middle. Kotori found the same circle Hol and Mig found earlier Hol found a circle as well. Mig... reached a dead end.

Kotori steps on the circle, then heads to the center path, going right to left

[Hol looks at the circle then steps on it] Now the ground should shake any second now.

The wall before Mig falls to the ground. It seems Kotori found the right circle.

Hol's circle electrified him quickly!

Ha ha! So that's what the rumbling was. *waits for Kotori to show up before setting off again.*

[Hol falls to the ground, I guess] Aw god! [He gets up and walks over to the middle path]

The party converges to the middle path. Now being able to proceed.

They reach yet another branch, this time with five paths to choose from.

[Without saying anything, Hol goes down the left path]

Both of them face another circle... but are either of them the right one?

*Goes down... the centralmost path.* Looks like there's some real traps here.

*Waits for the opening door because Kotori just left and with five paths, and both of them doing two, and Hol doing one, they should find the button right... about.....*

[Hol exits the left path and walks down the path with the dead end]

Of course the wall sinks into the ground. The party can finally advance.

*Unaware of Kotori's mounting frustration, Mig continues along!*

The party reaches a large open room. In the center of this room was what seemed to be a slight imitation of the Holy Grail.... though it's not huge or talking.

If there's a door in the room, Kotori leaves, not being dumb enough to even go near the obvious trap

Hmm..... *pokes the grail with the flaming sword.*

The flame transfers to the grail, illuminating the entire room.... but also because of this the party could hear wings flapping...

While funny to me the angels didn't find it funny at all. Virtue sends ice needles towards the party as Angel shoots some light at Hol.

[Hol tries to roll out of the way of the light, but it hits his let] O-Ow! Can't you guys just take a joke?! [He then fires four bullets from The Emperor at Angel]

Two hit her left wing while the others hit her metal restraints. She retaliates with Hama! ... It fails. Virtue sends out more ice needles.

*Sighs and retaliates in the obvious fashion, by sending a moving wall of fire at the two of them!*

The fire wall brought Virtue down, however Angel was still up.

Kotori once again dodges the Ice, letting it hit the door Wow. Incompetent at your job, watching out for your allies, AND fighting! Guess you're probably gonna turn demon yourselves now, huh?

[Hol finally reacts and dives to left, shooting virtue and angel three times each] Die, you demons!

Hol knocked Angel down! Virtue: You.... dare mock us?! We are the guardians....

Angel: Enough with your lies! Just then a large spear falls down and impales Angel.

Virtue took all of the bullets, dying right then and there.

What seems to be a man in armor similar to a dragon flies down to them. He pulls the spear out of Angel... His figure.... it's similar to the Archangel that was defeated long ago.

Hmm, it looks like The Emperor won't work in this situation. [The Emperor disappears from Hol's hand] Maybe I can find a weak spot on it. [He runs around the Archdragoon]

He noticed a small patch of skin under his wings. However he could only get a quick look, as the Archdragoon swings the spear in a perfect 180!

Kotori stands at the door, playing around with the grail in her hands Hey ugly!? Want this?

The Archdragoon faces Kotori. His chest opens and he fires a laser of the same energy from the demonic Power.

[Hol gets hit in the face by the spear] D-Damn. At least I know it's weak spot. [While the Archdragoon was focused on Kotori, Hol runs behind him, summons The Emperor, and shoots him in his weak spot]

FINALLY! Kotori leaps to the side as the lazer plows into the door How's that for better than a kick!

It hits! Causing a bit of damage! Though the Archdragoon doesn't seem too happy about this. It's chest closes and it glares at Hol. It slams the spear into the ground and flies upwards.

Well played Madam... The gate busts open from that attack!

The Archdragoon comes down, flying through the doorway.... and well... making it bigger. Kotori is being chased by him. She could try to head back into the room or make a run for it and take the stairs.

Hah! A race? Are you kidding me? Kotori infuses herself with wind, greatly increasing her speed

[Hol notices the Archdragoon behind him and increases his running speed] Shitshitshitshitshitshitshit!!

The Archdragoon chases after them. Swinging his spear mulitple times while also firing balls of that dark energy.

Kotori, able to sense the magic behind her, can swiftly dodge any orbs that manage to outspeed her, when she reaches the stairs, she's going to use a blast of wind to jump the stairs rather than run up them

Each one he shot dispersed. The Archdragoon gained more and more speed, keeping up with the party. His chest opens up again and it began charging.

*Suddenly, a figure comes flying down the stairs, and smashes the Archdragoon in the head with a giant mace as it's charging* TAKE THAT YOU BASTARD!

The Archdragoon was knocked to the ground. The laser fires into the stairs, leaving a large hole.
