Nocturne's Chronicle Edition has finally been translated.
If you wanna get the patch, you can find it here. https://www.reddit.com/r/Megaten/comments/7bwl3q/smtiiichronicles_edition_translation_v100_release/ So yeah, Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Chronicle Edition was finally translated by someone here on the internet. If you don't know, when Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abbadon was release, it was bundled with a special edition of Nocturne in Japan. This version (which never officially released here in the west) added some demons that weren't present prior, and replaced Dante with Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, the protagonist of Devil Summoner: Raidou. Frankly, I'm glad it's finally here. If you don't want to go through the trouble of playing through Nocturne again just to see Raidou's cutscenes, there's a video with all of them here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLWSwwbXm5Q Something to note, though, is that save data from the original Noturne still works if you load it up in Chronicle Edition, but if you had Dante in your party in one of your saves, he's swapped out with Raidou in Chronicle Edition. When speaking with a friend about this, he told me that the save data is identical. Dante just gets replaced with Raidou in memory, plus some other ROM changes that don’t affect save formatting.
Only downside is that we don't get the "featuring Dante from the Devil May Cry Series" meme in this version. But Raidou makes more sense anyways. Perhaps I'll get it at some point, regardless its nice to know
I do agree. Raidou fits in more both in art style and because he himself is also a Shin Megami Tensei character. I plan to play it myself.
Okay but If... when
Probably never. :(
