*Urumi was floating around in pitch black, she could see herself but nothing else... sudden she lands on the ground but the place was not pitch black anymore but was replaced by a familiar looking place aka New Meridian
*Urumi soon went to a roof of a hotel, looking around. Urumi knows this was her mind and that she had fainted not to long ago and that she will wake up later on... Urumi hopes that somehow people could enter her mind but of course would end up in her begin shy around them at least until she feels safe around them or know them better to trust them*
*Urumi looked down at the ground area to see Zero, wondering who this person is... and she soon realized that this person somehow entered her mind. Urumi was not about to go talk with the person*
Such a mysterious mind... I may as well visit. The mental world is easier to manifest in than the physical world.A shadow creeps into the streets, soon consolidating and taking the form of a moth-winged woman. With a simple flap of her wings, she glides over to Urumi and speaks in a more normal tone.
I haven't seen a mind so... open before.
*Urumi turns around to the woman, she did not seem to fear her but she turns away not wanting to already be shy around someone new and of course now knowing that people or pretty much anything could easily get into her mind*
Addalme appears, he looks around and he sees Urumi and goes to her, he smiles and talks to her.
Greetings, i suppose this is your mind... i hope I'm not consider and intruder here, hehe... I'm akechi but you can call me Addalme, nice to meet you.
There's no need to be shy. We're all friends here.
The moth-winged woman gives her a gentle smile. For some reason, she radiates an aura of calmness.
If you're worried about a crowd coming in here, I may be able to direct them out.
*Urumi soon noticed the person and the person from before are on the roof now... Urumi was too shy to even talk now*
*Urumi soon feels the calmness aura but it only help to some bit, she soon put on her mask and now she was ready to talk and not be shy*
Addalme stops moving, he noticed what Urumi is too shy
It's alright, I won't get closer to you then, I understand when someone is shy.
Addalme looks around trying to think in what kind of thought was he.
There we go. But I can answer at least one thing: we are in this young girl's mind. Even I'm not sure how.
I can go to people's minds, so I don't care about how. I want to worry about what kind of thoughts can we find here.
*Urumi looks at the three with her masked on, she was no longer shy well at least with the mask on*
My name is Urumi Koto or what people call me, the Masked Death... I don't know why they even gave me that nickname, maybe it's because I always wear a mask when I do missions*
Humans tend to give such names to beings they fear or respect. The two emotions go hand-in-hand sometimes.
The woman nods, then looks out at the fabricated city streets.
However, it seems that you're forced to use this identity as a crutch. Or perhaps your shyness obscures your true nature? We're only on the surface here, after all.
Well we have something on common, I'm also called addalme but I don't know exactly why...
Anyways, we should look around here, I don't like the fact what you have to hide your face to speak with others.
"Addalme thought about what Urumi said."
Maybe there is something here what we have to fix, a bad memory or something like that. Do you mind if we look?
Hm. So there is both a physical and mental barrier to her own self...
The woman mutters, then spreads her wings, trying to feel any notable energies here.
[Teddie comes out of the sha- nah i'm just joking, he just walks over due to having nothing better to do with his existance.]
Ah yes my favorite place, uhhh...
[He looks at the writing on his hand.]
A nuu cheeki breeki iv damke?
Well I have been shy for my whole life well at least from what I can remember which is everything after my mother or father... if they were my mother and father died
"I...I'm sorry..." At this, Zero is at a lost of words, he cannot relate since he doesn't even have parents in the first place, due to him being a reploid
I just don't remember... I don't know how they died too... all i can remember is running rooftops to rooftops knowing that my parents dead or if I had any in the first place
The woman slowly nods, then opens an eye to look at Teddie. A creature formed from human emotion.
Ah, hello. It seems you have stumbled upon this mind as well. Care to explore with me?
Oooh dead parents? Definitely not a cliche!
[A laugh track plays softly in the background. Teddie then looks at the woman.]
Eh, sure, I've got nothing better to do anyway.
The woman smiles slightly.
I appreciate the humor, although I doubt remarks like that are good for this girl's mental state. Anyway, let us go.
She begins walking down the streets, guided only by her otherworldly senses.
It's normal, you are traumatized, if you want I can help you, but you will have to fight that memory, or even live it again.
His face turns serious
Are you sure you can fight that now?
This... is the mind of that girl. It's not out of the question for you or I to be here, but the others here... how they arrived is a mystery.
She pauses in front of a door, then tries to open it.
This is a manifestation of her subconscious, so there's likely to be something in the metaphorical and literal closed doors.
stops and looks to Urumi
I think you need... courage.
Let me tell you... before I was like you, but my friends saved me from myself, I think you strong to even help yourself.
I'll ask it one last time, are you ready to fight that memory?
[Teddie begins to put his lockpicking skills to good use, even though this is the first time he used them on-screen.]
Anyway, how do you know if it's fine if i'm here or not?
sighlooks away.
You don't want to keep living like this.
Looks again to Urumi
For that we are here, for that you are here, some part of you, a little one, wants to end this.
I can sense any disruptions you may cause, and prevent them. Or not. Depends on my feelings at the time. But anyway, your nature as a Shadow is an invasion to this mind, but still not disruptive enough to trigger anything, especially with my aura.
*Urumi sighs and walks to the door, soon opening it with ease*
you could have just asked me to open it
*Urumi enters the room which was a long hallway with pictures of her life hanging around*
Hmph. Well excuse me for exploring a little.
She narrows her eyes, then enters the room. She keeps an eye out for any pictures that seem... off.
Anyway, I can just... feel that you're a Shadow. Think of it like how a dog can tell the difference between the scents of different creatures.
As I thought. Anyway... I'm interested in that place. Perhaps I should take another look at it...
She flaps her wings and soars towards that place once more
There is always something what scares us... i felt the same long time ago, you know... I was afraid to be usseles here... to be a burden to my friends.
goes to Urumi and sits next to her.
Alriiight... the point is, sometimes we need help to keep growing as persons, it's nothing bad because there is always someone who wants to help you.
I know you are getting angry, I'll leave you alone.
Addalme leaves.
She's getting distressed. The woman's form shifts, taking the form of shadow once more. It slithers through the streets and searches every nook and cranny.
The shadow grows impatient. But it can wait just long enough. The trash can lid moves, and Urumi is surrounded by a familiar and vast presence...You tire of their attempts to bring back what doesn't matter, yes?
Some things are best forgotten. Your mind shuts them out to defend itself. That's what I've found.A few whispers accompany these words.Should you wish, I could make it so they fade away... although I'd like a favor in return. Nothing major, don't worry.
You seek the Skull Heart, yes? I sensed the desire of many to obtain it, yet I also felt fear. I wish to get close enough to see this artifact for myself. That way, I can see its intentions, as well as how it works. My use of it will not happen should I deem it too dangerous, which it likely is. I'll even aid you in its destruction, should that be the case
A melancholy looking girl walks the streets alone, wearing a black hoodie and worn jeans. She decided to take a break, resting against a building with a completely ordinary trash can nearby. She looks around at the surroundings, examining the people walking by. Maybe one of them would hook her up with something, or she'd see something interesting.
Very well... It was too much to ask. In hindsight, I should have thought of something else... I could do it for honey instead. I am an insect in my physical form.A shadowy claw tugs Urumi's shirt.
Senri was startled by the person suddenly popping out of the trash can, she almost drew her weapon in surprise.
Oh. Just a dumpster diver.
...And a possessed garbage can. That's a new one.
With a screech, the shadowy mass leaps out of the trash can, gaining a more solid, gray-furred form. A massive glassy-eyed moth attempts to pin Urumi down with a clawed foot. You were saying?
I apologize, but I cannot allow this opportunity to slip away. Your mind js an... interesting one. And bystander, please do not interfere. She shall remain unharmedIt spreads its wings...
She Who Is The Mask... your fate has been decided. The moth lunges forward, clapping its clawed front feet together to snare Urumi. Its middle legs brace its body for a sudden stop upon doing this.
Thankfully, only the legs got the worst of the damage. The moth stares directly at Urumi and opens its mouth. Multitudes of voices come out, shrouding her very mind. It's pointless... You know it's not right, but this path you've chosen... Your heart appears soft but is as cold as ice... You are nothing.A dark fog begins to surround them.
Hmm. This should be good.
Senri watches the struggle with intent. It wasn't her business, after all.
She then heard a voice that only she could hear.Hey! Are we just gonna let this happen!?
Why not? It isn't our problem.
A Phantom Thief helps people in trouble, remember?
That creature looks like it's got bad intentions! We should atleast investigate!Senri looks at the small imaginary neko. She thinks to herself, and then nods.
Yes... Heh. What would I do without you to keep me straight?
Senri steps forward, katana drawn and hoisted over her shoulder.
I'm not a simple bystander, Shadow-san. I am quite the meddler. Perhaps I should press you for information?
Zero lets out a long sigh
"...if this goes haywire, I'll intervene."
Seeing that it is starting to go crazy, with that fog, Zero quietly unsheaths his Z-saber and slashes at heart, "OK, enough of this cat fight you two!"
It does not matter what I do is right or wrong.
*Urumi took out 4 knifes and threw them around soon they set on fire, making the fog go away*
I do what I want to do, it may be right for some and wrong for others... but its my path I choose
The moth slightly turns its head towards Senri.I see. I am simply, as they say, pressing this girl for information. This is how I do it in a mindscape like this. Observe. The moth crouches down, then springs forward, letting out a screech that would disorient anyone nearby. It doesn't seem deterred by Zero.
E-Ehh?
Senri suddenly felt confused by the screech, not at anything in particular, just in general. It was almost difficult to stand as she fell to one knee. She felt like she had very little control over her thoughts and movements.
What's happening...? Where did I end up...?
Indeed it is.One of the moth's feet rise up to catch the wall piece. However, this is only a defensive measure. I can assault it as I please... although it seems that last incident drained my power. The moth sighs and slams its foot down, sending a wave of shadow across the ground.
The moth snarls and shakes the knife off. The shadow on the floor retreats. So my power really is this drained... I only have those people to blame for that.
"Tch! there's no stopping this..."
Zero decides to pull out of the conflict, avoiding to be in the crossfire.
After the moth dissapears, Zero goes to Urumi, "Hey kid, are you ok?"
Senri recovers from the previous attack, standing up to see that the moth had gone. She seems disappointed.
Interesting creature... What was in its heart, I wonder? I hope to see them again.
Y'know what? Fuck your doors.
[Teddie unsheathes his katana and opens a rift.]
Also, get over your father and mother's death. You'll feel much better afterwards.
[He enters the rift, it closes behind him.]
"Look, I know that there isn't much to care about wherever you go, but I'm sure that there is someone out there for you. if anything, even if that person is gone, there will be others that will be there for you..."
Zero starts to head towards the door. "I went through a long journey to discover that part..."
He opens it and before he goes behind it, gives a slight smile at Urumi before closes it
Senri overhears Zero's words, her mood visibly deteriorating.
...That's wrong. If you lose something important to you, you fight to get it back, no matter what...
...Well, as long as this world is going to disappear anyway when she wakes up...
Senri sits down on the garbage can that started it all, pulling something small out of her pocket and lighting it
*Urumi noticed how long she was just looking at a wall, she soon looks around to see if anyone is still here or if someone else is now in her mind somehow*
