Kinda annoyed. Will make them money, sure, but it's a waste of time and resources to REMAKE A PS3 GAME.
I mean, Hibiki, P3 FES would like to have a word with you. Or P4G. Or the demake that was P3P. Atlus does this all the time. Anyway on the subject of porting games to new consoles. If Catherine can get a remake, I demand a remake of Tokyo Mirage Sessions for the Switch.
Yes, they do re-release games often. I didn't say I was particular happy about those either.
I was in it amd happy to get the remake UNTIL I found iut we are getting a third cathrine. The dynamic between the cathrine and kathrine was almost perfect and very well balanced almost like ying and yang but with the thrid one added to it may throw the balance out of the window. Not only yhat but the character is so out of place with this game since she looks like an anime high school girl and honestly I don't know how to feel about this. (Let's hope she won't be Marie 2.0 cause still haven't healed from the horror that was Marie's social link)
A remake of a PS3 game? And I thought Pokémon and Game Freak were the remake kings. I actually was very in this game, story and what not, but put off by the purely puzzle gameplay. Not a puzzle guy. I only like short ones with a reward at the end, ala Zelda. If they remade it with just story and no puzzles, I'd probably buy it.

So an anime?
.... Just go watch a Let's Play on YouTube.
.... Just go watch a Let's Play on YouTube. I want to PLAY it still. Not watch someone else's, as it's all about choices, etc; but I'd rather skip all the puzzles.

There are choices yes, but there's still a finite number of outcomes. Shouldn't be that hard to just watch them. There's no point in playing it if you don't want to actually play the game.
Puzzles are good for the brain, BEEP BOOP MEOW. Without them, the game would be a glorified "visual novel."
Puzzles are good for the brain, BEEP BOOP MEOW. Without them, the game would be a glorified "visual novel." As I said, I can do puzzles, and I like Zelda games which are all about those, but I need them sparce with rewards. For Catherine, I feel the puzzles would be more of a chore to get back to what I'm really interested in. Not, oh, I want to do this, but I HAVE to. Like a commercial break on a TV show.
However, the puzzles provide an actual challenge that make the game a game. It's about the work for the reward. Your reasoning is implying that you would rather have no gameplay in favor of a pure visual novel.
You say you like puzzles short with rewards? Seems kind of odd to me. It's not much of a reward if it's something easily or quickly done. If you're so interested in getting back to the story, doesn't that mean you are being rewarded for completing the puzzles?
While we're on this, Atlus have now remade every DS game they ever put out except for Etrian Odyssey III (I'll give it two years until Untold III) and Trauma Center Under The Knife 2 (rip)

They might not be as bad as I think, but I don't want to go through the process of reselling if I do, more likely than not, find it tedious instead. Also, to reply back to the person who said it'd just be a video novel without it.... So? That's lots of games already. It's a thing, nor would I mind at all if I loved said story.
