Tournament Arc: Fightus Catus Signups
A loud cough echoes from the center of a park. A few golden speakers are set up, along with a black microphone. A cat-person with golden eyes stands at the front of this display.
"Thank you, thank you... As agreed in the contract made to bring me here, I am happy to announce the Fightus Catus tournament! A test of strength, cunning, and virtue! You can either compete alone, or with a partner. To sign up, please put your name and the time you'll be available! One of those newfangled 'Discords' shall be made to support this tournament. The winner shall obtain..."
They pause for dramatic effect.
"...The power of a Guardian Spirit! Now, strive to become the best and most noble fighter here!"
Save for a signup sheet, they and the equipment vanish in a puff of golden smoke.
A blue blur would speed by the signup sheet and zoom off. The sheer would read:
Name: Sonic the Hedgehog
Times Available: Generally during the week from 1PM Central to 10PM
Partner:I'll fill in for anyone alone or just go it solo!
A young schoolgirl catches sight of the blue blur, huh, wonder what that was about, she simply shrugs and walks over to the signup sheet herself, picking it up
Tournaments huh? Kinda like that thing Miu mentioned I guess.... Well..... A Guardian Spirit would be nice, and I'd get the chance to show what I can really do....
The girl begins writing on the sheet, however, she taps the pencil against her chin for a moment before finishing
Though, I dunno if there's anyone I should work with....

Times Available: Almost any time with notice. On weekends any time from 5PM Central, during the week, almost any time at all.

Oh boy, I'm excited
Upon walking to the train station through a shortcut in the park, Jiyu notices the signup sheet, runs over to it, and writes down...

Times Available: 12pm to 12am Eastern Time except on school days where it's like 3pm to 12am.
Partner: I'm gonna go solo.
Noticing the sign-up sheet from afar, Owain slowly walks towards it. Once he realizes what it was, he chuckles, before furiously posing with his left hand over his face.
Aha, what an event! What a challenge! My sword hand boils in anticipation for such a sight!
He quickly writes down his information before dashing off.
Name: Owain Dark, Avenger of Righteous Justice!
Time: Between 9:30 pm and 5am PST.
Partner: No preference.
The wandering barista notices a crowd surrounding a sign up station. He raises a brow in curiosity before parking his bike and approaching.
Perhaps I can gather some useful data and experience here?
He writes his info down with a chuckle.

He then grabs his bike and rides off.

The stranger with the microphone has returned.

A young woman with a grin on her face wanders into the area, upon seeing a fighting tourmant she'd rush over and quickly start filling things out.
"Alright! Nothing like a good workout to help in getting used to some crazy new world!"

Time Available:Depends on the day of the week, but at the latest after 12AM CST.
Partner:I'm okay going it alone, but if a Yukiko showed up well that'd be preferred for obvious reasons. Beyond that, like Sonic and Ryoma I'll do whatever.
This could be a good way to train.....

Akechi heard about the tournament and after checking out, he decides to sign up for it.

Times Available: from 10 AM to 1 AM CET until i return to school on January 8 otherwise until 11 PM
Partner: as long as they believe in Justice, i'm fine with anyone. Jk i have no preference.
"Mhm, looks like we have quite a few signups!"
The cat-person nods to themselves as they look over the sheet.
"Here's your friendly warning that signups will end tomorrow at noon EST. That way, I can get the brackets set up! I'm also planning a Q&A session shortly after where I will announce the matchups, so stay tuned!"
Lowe nodded as he listened to the creature speak, before grabbing a sign-up sheet himself.
Heh, sounds like my kinda party.

Partner: If Alice makes it, then her. Otherwise, I'll fight alone.
Having taken notice of the tournament, most notably the potential at a new source of power, Alice decides now is the time to reappear and throw her hat into the ring.
I've never heard of a Guardian Spirit, but maybe this will be exactly what I need.
She reviews the most recent sign-up sheet, in order to determine the format she should take for her entry, and would be surprised to find that Lowe has entered and even put her own name down as a potential partner!
Huh... Maybe this could work?
