A Jolly Nyxmas: The Fall
[[I]Upon the roof if Tartarus a might tree goes. In the many dead branches of the tree would be it's master and captive, Quintus Geminus. Trapped in such a state he could do little more than watch events unfold around his Persona.
The top of these twisted and broken branches would be a stage of roots where the Avatar of Nyx Avatar stood alone. The moon drew close and closer as the Avatar seemed to perk up. It seemed that the time had finally come. Nyx would soon awaken and the world would soon end.
Despite the Avatar's ever present smile a emptiness seemed to fill it's eyes.[/i]]
"Soon...the Fall shall eradicate all life. I truly did enjoy this world but the people's hatred and desire for destruction must be answered."
Deneb turns toward the now open doors, and holds his hands to his face in shock.
"I-I suppose it's time! I'll do my best!"
Deneb slowly walks toward the open doors, his fingers pointed about the place.
"E-Everyone, l-let's go!"
Right behind you Train Man!
Also, my name is Nana, Nice to meet you!
She follows Deneb inside
Jiyu silently follows the two in with both of his fists still clenched

Hey you two wait up... I don't have the best stamina.
*Shade follows behind the other four.*
Walking through a tower of the damned to fight the primordial goddess of darkness. This is going to be a long night. Well, I suppose if I must, I shall.
Having forgotten it, Nana runs back outside, grabs the plume of dusk, then runs back inside to catch up with the others
Ack! Time to begin!
Aitome noticing the doors swing open, runs inside, hurrying after the rest of the party
[A group would once again enter Tartarus but this time to face against the entity know as Nyx. The towers base room would be quiet and oddly dark. The door at the end of the staircase leading to the first floor would be sealed shut and covered in strange scratch marks.
The only source of light in the room was the teleportation pad and dial. They were now fully lit and seemed to be at full power. It seems as of only one path forward remains. The path up and to the base of the tree resting up on the top of Tartarus. Any who stand on the pad would be teleported here.]

Having been pushed off the tower in the last thread I totally didn't fall asleep during, Sayaka would be able to slow her descent by conjuring platforms, in a sort of step-down method of falling. She finally lands on the ground behind the others, and runs towards the once more open doorway.
Dammit Quintus, I don't know what's wrong with you, but I swear I'll protect you if its the last thing I do!!
She doesn't seem to have noticed the plentiful others yet, instead she focuses on making it back inside as soon as possible
OOC: Will carry over Soul Gem for this, especially considering how low it was last time.

*he still follows Nana-Chan as he is wheezing like he was forced into a cigar factory*
Plase... slow down... I am out of breath!
Jiyu curiously looks over at the teleportation pad, wondering what it is
"What's that glowing thing over there?"
Deneb approaches the strange pad, pointing at it nervously. Anxiously, he touches the dial. He seems to be whispering to himself.
"Please don't be a trap... Please don't be a trap... Please don't be a trap..."
It seems as he reached for the dial, his foot touched the pad.
*Slowly, Shade activates his shadow armour in case of a trap.*
You know, touching things that you don't know what they are is usually a bad idea. This is no exception.

Hm... Well no use standing around everyone! Onwards! I hope I dont regret this!
Aitome approaches the pad apprehensively and steps on it, being transported to the roof and taking a look around, noticing the giant tree and drawing her short sword
Ah! You must be thing we are trying to save! I don't wanna fight, but you don't exactly look like you are going to come peacefully!
*out of nowhere he accidentally tackles Deneb onto the pad*
Ow... I think I took a wrong turn...
[As Deneb and Spectre steps onto the pad they would be transported to the roof of the tower as well where they would see Aitome talking to a tree as if it's an enemy. Huh, weird. Nyx's avatar who rests on top of the tree would notice the arrival of others to Tartarus and would almost seem relieved at this result.]
"So, they've come to witness the end. I shall try not to dissapoint them. For that is all I can do now."
[The mighty avatar would stand at neatly 30 feet tall and begin floating ever so slightly in the air before extending its blackened wings and holding onto it's mighty blade that nearly touched the ground.]

She steps into the pad
Looks like it's some kind of teleporter.
Off we go!
Deneb briefly regrets not taking the ZeroLiner to tackle such a large beast, but that's not what's really on his mind right now.
"U-Um excuse me! Giant b-bird thing! I-I was wondering... w-why are you trying to bring about the end? I-I uh... happen to enjoy being alive!"
Jiyu steps onto the teleporter as well, getting teleported to the roof. Upon his arrival, he would look around before staring at the tree persona for a few seconds before realizing something
"Hey, wasn't that the tree that I saw at the GYM?"
He would then look up at the 30 foot monster before him
"And that must be..."
*he gets up and readjusts his Black Cerberus helmet and Exo-Rig*
I agree with that guy... I love you know... LIVING...
Sayaka runs in to see several others step onto the somewhat familiar teleportation pad, without any hesitation, Sayaka leaps onto the pad herself
At the very least it took me close to the top last time. This should be an easy way back up, and when I get there MAN is that bird-freak gonna pay... After I make sure Quintus is alright that is.
It seems she arrives just in time, hearing those last words, Sayaka immediately makes her way, dashing up the staircase and towards the tree center
Were you even listening? I'm here to make sure you're safe, got it? Until then, Nyx can wait.

*Shade follows the others through the teleporter pad. Upon seeing Nyx, Shade can't help but stare as a shadow grows from the ground behind him, forming into a skeleton in a chained up and torn black cloak.*
Lord Hades. That feeling I sense. Is that...
Hades: Yes, it is. She who even my brother, the king of the Olympians, is said to fear. Grandmother Nyx, the primordial goddess and embodiment of darkness.

Aitome seems almost surprised that the tree is helping, looks like she was under the assumption that there were only enemies up here,

Aitome then steps up the branches and meets Nyx head on, this time for certain that they are the enemy
M-man... Its big... But I can't falter! I shall choose the world's fate, and I choose a good one! One without this Fall!
Aitome then enters a combat stance, ready to roll, it wasn't smart to start throwing punches now, maybe they could do this without violence?
[The Avatar of Nyx would look down from on top of the tree at the oncoming intruders. They would speak in many voices, all of which hadn't even the slightest bit of emotion.]
"I am not the one doing this. It is humanity who would do this to itself. The apathy of man, their desire for destruction, and their hatred for others. These are the things that brought about the fall. I am sorry, but there is nothing any of you can do now. The Fall is already upon us."
[Nyx's Avatar would point towards the ever growing moon to show anyone who looks up that cracks had begun to form on it's surface revealing something shadowy underneath.]
"Nyx is here..."
Nyx huh?
Nana climbs the stairway, but veers off to the optional path rather than the main one
*he readies his MG Judge axe and Nanite shielding*
This is going to be fun... am I right?
Deneb seems to shake his head.
"Wh-while that may b-be the case. I-I... uh ... I don't th-think it i-is the case? Th-Th-Though I s-suppose we can't talk th-this out. It never w-works like that does it? Hngh!"
Deneb seems to be slapping himself to work up some nerve.
"Alright! If we won't be able to talk this out, then I'll have to beat you up! Apologies in advance!"
Deneb bows deeply, and aims his hands directly at Nyx's Avatar.
"Let me say this to start! I am fairly annoyed that I couldn't enjoy my break!"
"Nyx..."
Jiyu takes out two silver brass knuckles from his pockets and puts them on his knuckles before punching both of his fists together twice making a clinging sound
Heh! Despair is no match for a shining ray of hope! I'll make sure of it! So prepare yourself Trail Mix! You are going down to us! We shall choose our own fate! You don't get to decide what happens to us!
Hades: We cannot hold back here.
Agreed.
*Shade summons his scythe and prepares for battle.*
"Very well..."
[With that a card would appear in Nyx's hand. The symbol on it seemed to symbolize the magician.]
"The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate...
Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope.
Yes, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed...
Attaining one's dream requires a stern will and unfailing determination."
[The card would fade from the Avatar's hand before it's sword set ablaze with dark flames. It would swing the sword forward as a sea of flames began flooding the trees top. Despite the mass spread of the flames it never seemed to touch the tree directly.
At the center of the tree a crooked and gnarly path of branches would extend to a cage made of roots. Within would be Quintus with a blank but solemn expression. His skin was as pale as the moonlight and the color in his eyes was faded. He would apeak in a weak yet certain voice.
“Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be stopping Nyx?â€

*he makes a b line at Nyx and swings down his axe*
Deneb begins running up the branches, his fingers trained on Nyx's Avatar. Before he reached the top, his finger burst as a large pellet shot out of it toward the fire. The pellet exploded into a large cloud of smoke. Should the fire behave like fire, the smoke would choke it out.
"It's times like these that I wish Yuuto were here!"
Well, someone's gotta save you, and they seem to be capable of holding the monster off.
She smiles reassuringly to Quintus
Though I don't really know how, but I do have this.
She pulls out the Plume of Dusk
Guy outside said this was important.
I'm not sure what it is, or how to use it.
Do you?
Sayaka immediately rushes along the branches, headed towards the cage, as soon as she reaches it, Sayaka would begin by imbuing her sword with a faint blue light as she slashes at the cage, yelling to the man inside
I'm not leaving anyone behind, you should know that by now. I'll save everyone, even if its the last thing I do. I don't care what it takes, you're getting out of there, and you're getting home. That's part of my job remember?
Sayaka continues wildly slashing at the cage, hoping to open a large enough hole in the cage to let people through
OOC: Soul Gem 19%
As the flames advance, Aitome braces for impact, the fire harmlessly washing off of her however as she laughs softly at the attack, her eyes glowing a crimson red as her hands begin to glow a bright white
Heh! I'll take dim hope over whatever you are offering! Kouagon!
The white light in her hands eventually condenses into hard balls as she throws them at Nyx's face, upon impact they explode into their beams of light, but that's only if they hit in the first place
"RRAGH!!"
Jiyu releases a blue wave of energy behind him by thrusting in the air making his persona, Washington, manifest behind him. The persona would then raise his sword into the air, empowering Jiyu with an orange energy, making his brass knuckles glow orange
"Lets do this!"

*Shade launches a wave of shadows at Nyx using his Scythe.*
Hades: This is the avatar of Nyx. They will prove to be a deadly opponent. We must end this as quickly as possible to protect as many lives as possible. Charon's already working overtime as it is.

Nana tries to stop Sayaka's slashes
He seems to have a degree of control over this tree, so it's connected to him somehow, which means that this tree could be connected to his life force!
You could be killing him!

Sayaka initially keeps hacking away, heedless of Nana's initial pleas
I already told you, I'm getting him out o---
She stops at the word "killing", lowering her sword and inspecting the damage she caused, Sayaka takes a deep breath to calm herself
T... That's not a thing right? I mean....
Sayaka glances down at the Gem resting above her navel... The tree was obviously some kind of magic, and based on how hers works...
I... I'm sorry, are you ok Quintus? I mean, as ok as I could expect.
The roots would struggle to grow back with each of Sayaka’s swings making progress woth brwaling the cage slow. Quintus would just seem to sigh as he seems to accept his fate.
“Why? Isn’t saving the world more important. I’ll accept that i don’t want to die. It scares me to know that I might die more than you may ever know but I don’t think my life holds value compared to the entire world.
Even now, I can feel Nyx...All of the fear people hold for death. Its all concentrated here. I’m infected with a parasite that feeds on those feelings and I can feel its hunger being sated. That side of me...likes this.
I secretly am gleeful at this situation. My life holds no value here for I only have broughten more hardship on those trying to stop it.â€
Quintus would begin to tear up at his frusteration towards this situation. He felt as though he had uselessly only gotten in everyone’s way.
[The Avatar would make no attempt at even dodging any counter attacks. The Axe would find trouble even piercing their flesh though as it seems to be made of sturdier stuff then what it may seem. The light would also seem to just wash off almost naturally without leaving a mark. The same could be said for the shadows as they would seem to have a similar effect.
The smoke would begin to also clear all the fire causing it to condense where Nyx's Avatar stands.
The card reappears in Nyx's hand as it now displays the symbol of the priestess.]
"The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed...
The silent voice within one's heart whispers the most profound wisdom."
[With that the card would vanish as the Avatar's wings begin flapping powerfully. A torrent of freezing air would be shot out all around causing ice to form on all it touched. The branches would freeze near the surface of the tree.]

Seeing the situation's slight improvement, Sayaka begins slashing at the tree with renewed vigor,
she tries to force the pair's way inside
I already told you, I'm going to save you, no matter what it takes, that's what a hero does, If you really regret what you've done, then you're just going to have to make up for it, dying's no solution.
Sayaka seems to be working herself up again, slashing faster and faster to keep up with the regrowing roots
I don't know a thing about this parasite of yours, and honestly I don't care. Where's that boy I heard about, the one who went out of his way to save some kids just because no one else could? There's a difference between risking your life, and throwing it away for no reason!!
A small yelp comes from nearby. More specifically, it comes from the muzzle of a very late shiba inu. He braces himself against the wind. Even as his fur begins to ice over, he raises his head to the dark skies.
Arooooo!
The Persona Cerberus appears in a burst of blue flames. One of its heads spews out a fiery blast: Agidyne. The flames heat up the air nearby as they fly towards Nyx.
W-what the? I-its cold..
Aitome then tries to dodge the freezing air, but to no avail, ice forming along her body extremely easily. As she freezes she takes quite alot of damage.
C-come on... G-gotta warm up... A-Agidyne!
Aitome then takes a shortsword and super heats it with fire, sticking it into the floor as it radiates heat, trying to warm herself up and anybody else in close proximity
*he looks at his axe and puts it away*
Well great... I got a back up weapon...
*he holster his MG Judge and creates a Mimetic edge sword out of nanite metal and swings upwards at Nyx*
*Shade pierces the ground with his Scythe as he stands firm against the wind, his shadow armour absorbing most of the damage.*

Hades: Gladly.
*Hades floats up in the air before firing several chains from his shadowy sleeves at the Nyx Avatar, hoping to have them stick into its body.*
What's the point in saving the world if we just leave people to die?
So what if you aren't the most heroic person, or the most moral?
You're a person. Every life is precious.
If you made problems for people, that doesn't mean you should die for it, it just means you should live on, live on to right those wrongs
Saving you won't end the world.
It'll just end in hurting people.
C'mon, you have a good future, you can shape it however you like.

She speaks gently, and smiles kindly at him
Deneb finally reaches the top, seeing the ice come towards him, he aims his fingers at it again. They ignite once more, however instead of firing off pellets, they fire small bullets. They attempt to shatter the ice, but he doesn't fire only at the ice. The stream of bullets eventually rising toward the Avatar.
"I wasn't meant for the cold! Despite my heavy outfit!"
Jiyu would try to guard himself from the ice with the ice forming on his arms
"W-Washington!!"
The persona would soon manifest in front of Jiyu, preventing the ice from hitting Jiyu. Washington would then raise his blade with his white horse raising its front legs, making flames raise from the ground towards Nyx
OOC: Oof...I'll be busy for a while. I'll have to pause this for a few minutes. Sorry.

Quintus would look down in thought. Finally with a bit of aprehension the roots forming the cage would begin ainking back amongst the branches while Quintus would try to get up.
“Alright, hand me that weird blue crystal. I think I know what has to be done.
I’m not really sure about this though. It’d be much easier to just leave me behind....but I can see that I won’t really change your minds.â€
That's the spirit!

She bounces back up and holds the Plume of Dusk through the bars for Quintus to grab, a victorious grin on her face
OOC: Alright, back.
Sayaka runs over to Quintus and grabs his arm to help him get up. She gives the older person a wide grin and tries to help him out of the cage
What, you think I do this stuff because its easy? No, we do it because its hard. And because that'll make the world a better place. For everyone, well, that's the idea anyways.
Sayaka would briefly look over Quintus, just to make sure
are you hurt? Or just... Well... Stuff with your condition. I can heal most wounds pretty easily, but I dunno how well it works on stuff that's not physical.
The fire of Koromaru and Jiyu's Personas would blaze together as they fly at the avatar. The flames would seem to leave burns on the Avatar's form but other than that he would act unphased as if incapable of feeling the pain.
However, cracks would also form on his mask allbiet small in nature. The sword would leave less of an impact. While not doing nothing it would leave a scratch on the Avatar but wouldn't deal any real damage.
Shades shadowy chains would fly around the Avatar's body but they would seem not to have any real reaction to this ignoring the chains.
Deneb's bullets would also hit and while the would each hit the Avatar and cause him to twitch with each impact the bullets would fall to the ground a second later.
Nyx's Avatar's mask would crack a little more before they would once again hold out their hand. This time the card of the Empress would form in their hand.
"The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed...
Celebrate life's grandeur...It's brilliance...It's magnificence..."
The Avatar once again begins raising their wings but this time they would rise into the air pulling the chains with them. Once in the air they would begin swinging the sword they hold in every direction. Blades of wind would fly one by one towards the group.
A-aroo?!
Koromaru ducks down, nearly getting blown over by a gust slashing his jacket. He snarls and barks for Cerberus to launch another Agidyne. The Persona leaps forward, firing from a different head this time.
Deneb would get struck by the blades, a puff of sand emerging from the point of contact.
"Th-That's right! I SHALL celebrate the goodness of life! P-People like you trying to stop me from doing so without regard for what I feel a-are the true villains!"
Just as Deneb would appear to be falling off the tree, he extends both of his hands behind him,
letting loose a massive blast. This blast wouldn't hit anything, but it WOULD send him on a collision course for the Avatar. Deneb would then extend his foot for a kick as he continued to be propelled toward Nyx's Avatar.
"T-Take my will to live!"
Quintus would grab onto the Plume of Dusk and hold it firmly. He would lool deeply into it before being helped out of the cage by Sayaka.
“Save your energy...I’m not sure why I feel or am like this but I’m sure it’s somehing that can’t be healed. Right now, we should focus on stopping this fall.â€
Quintus would try to walk ahead as he makes his way back to the entrance to the tree’s center. He would stumble a bit as he walked and his breathing would begin growing heavier.
Nana runs up to Quintus and lends him her shoulder
C'mon now, don't pretend like you're alone, yeah?
Hades: Harder than I thought
That's annoying. but that mask... Hmm...
*Shade braces the wind blades, getting knocked back slightly before rushing in and slashing at Nyx's mask with a wave of shadows from his Scythe.*
Washington, who's still in front of Jiyu, slashes away at most of the wind blades, but one hits the white horse in the leg, causing the horse to let out a loud screech right before Washington and the horse to fall to the ground
"Oh crap! Washington!"
Jiyu then slides behind the fallen horse to take cover from the wind blades. As a last resort, he takes out a green soda can from his pocket and chugs it down, increasing his speed and accuracy
Sayaka remains by Quintus's side, offering her own shoulder as well to help him walk
What she said, I might not know what's goin' on, but I'm not leaving until I know you're safe, alright? Stop trying to run off without us man.
Sayaka gives Quintus an almost mocking grin, briefly nodding to Nana as they try to help him down the tree
*Something snaps in Spectre's head and figured something out*
Spectre: Lu Bu! Show this avatar who's boss!
*a giant of a man stands behind Spectre, armor in black and livery of pure gold*
Lu Bu: An even match with Lu Bu? How interesting!
*the almighty Chinese slams down his spear the Sky Piercer on Nyx which is his way of using the skill Ragnarok*
*The winds blast away at Ai, leaving scapes and cuts, but she uses the sword implanted into the ground to hold on,
Tch! Back in action! Lets give that mask a powerful hit!
*Fire begins to form around Aitome's hands as she observes the battlefield, she then takes a deep breath and begins to run towards Nyx as light and fire condenses around her, once she's close enough she uses the light to form a staircase up towards Nyx and attempts to punch it's mask with a gauntlet of fire, hoping it will do more then the previous strikes
You don't need to tell me to celebrate life! Just watch me!

The fire from Koromaru and Spectre would once again scorch the Avatar but this would do little more than the previous effects.
The kick would seem to impact against the Avatar but it would do little more than flinch against this attack. Despite this less than favorable reaction more cracks would appear on the mask.
The shadow slash to the face would seem to scrape of the mask. It seems the mask was actually much sturdier than it appeared which was strange considering the cracks.
The same could also be said for the punch which while powerful seemed to hit the mask without much of a result.
The card once again appears in the Avatar's hands. This time it is the emperor.
"The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed...
Only courage in the face of doubt can lead one to the answer..."
The Avatar of Nyx would once again land back on the ground causing a slight shake in the tree. It would pierce the ground with its blade as it began glowing with a few sparks of electricity surrounding it.
The electricity would run through the ground causing it to spark with the same bolts. Any still touching the ground by the time the bolts reached would be in for a shock.
Quintus would sigh as he accepts the help of the others to get out of the tree. Upon reaching the exit to the tree the entire thing would begin shaking.
“Seems like things are getting worse. How much confidence do you have in the people fighting exactly? Ive seen what this thing is capable of...its a monster even for a demon.â€
Cerberus vanishes, and Koromaru leaps into the air and over the shockwave. He gets some of the tail end of the shock when he lands, but it's better than getting completely hit. He pulls out a small knife from his jacket and charges, slashing at whatever part of Nyx his little doggy self can reach.
*The bolts hit Shade, causing him to growl in pain. His shadow armour flickers slightly before reforming to solid shadows once more. Meanwhile, Hades, still floating above the arena, launches a stream of blue flames from his sleeves at the Nyx avatar.*
Hades: The fires of Hades welcome you, Avatar of darkness. If your soul remains, I shall burn it from your very being.
Sayaka looks back up near the top of the tree, then back to Quintus with concern..... Sayaka turns to Nana and nods, flashing the other two a confident smile
You stay here ok? I'm going to see about helping finish off that monster on top. You keep Quintus safe, just in case. Alright? Don't worry about me, I do this kinda stuff all the time
Without giving the other girl a chance to argue, Sayaka would let go of Quintus in order to begin running up the crumbling tree in a mad dash to assist the group on top
Spectre: New tactic Lu Bu! Hit the avatar with the Akasha Arts!
Lu Bu: Flukes do not happen twice!
*Lu Bu uses Akasha Arts on the avatar with his Sky Piercer halberd*
[I]Luckily for Ai, she is still well in the air as the lightning strikes. Unfortunately for Ai, she is very high up on the air. Looking around frantically she makes a split second strike and tried to stab into Nyx with her blade and keep a hold onto her[/i]
Not giving up! Not yet anyways! You'll have to do better then that!
Deneb, having still been airborne, claps his hands together. The thunderous clap would be accompanied by a large barrage of bullets raining from his fingertips.
"I will show my courage regardless of the presence of doubt! Take this!"
OOC: People can join if they want to.
Seeing the electricity run through the ground, Jiyu quickly jumps on Washington's horse and leaps in the air, unfortunately his persona gets hit by the electricity and fades away with red fire covering its body
"Damn you!"
Still in the air, Jiyu pulls out his flintlock revolver that's glowing orange, and fires four musket balls at Nyx's mask
*Something. Something special had brought Haruko running to the big tower.*
Oh no, oh no, I'm late. It's happening....
*She bolts into the lobby, takes the teleporter, and stumbles up the stairs two at a time....*
They're heroes.
Doesn't matter how much it's capable of.
They'll succeed.
Because they're capable of far more when working together.
She then giggles to herself
Wow, that sounded so cheesy.
But it's kinda true.
People can't achieve much alone.
But you get a bunch of people who all have the same desire?
That's when the impossible happens.
That's how you create miracles.
She pulls her sword off her back and stabs it into the ground where it transforms and drains all the lightning near them

The Avatar would easily take Koromaru's attack and decided to try and pick the small dog up with one of his massive hands. He would let go of the massive blade to do so leaving it embedded in the ground.
The fire surround and covers the Avatar completely causing their image to become obscured by the fires light.
The attacks unleashed by Spectre would cause a plume of smoke to raise over the area further obscuring the avatar.
Aitome's blade would stick into the Avatar but just enough to hang off of it seemed.
The bullets would fly into the smoke cloud as well. It's hard to tell if they left any mark or even hit there mark.
If Nyx's avatar is holding onto Koromaru they'd throw the dog onto the ground in front of them as they swing their sword to clear the smoke. Their mask would seem to have a crack along an entire corner of it but otherwise they'd look unhurt.
Another card would appear in their hand as they readied their bladr.

The Avatar wound swing the blade directly toward Koromaru before digging it into the tree. The tree would begin to shake as shockwaves are realised into it.
The tree begins to shake more and more violently before it finally begins to fall. The base would begin to break apart as the top would fall towards the tower roof.
As its writer is about to sleep, the poor doggo's lights are put out as well. The little guy managed to roll enough to not get sliced in two with the last of its strength, but... let's just say we're gonna have an unconscious Koromaru here the rest of the night.
Aitome breaths a sigh of relief as she grips on tight with one hand,
wasting no time as her eyes glow blue
Heh! Time for a change! Tormention you are up! Endless Pain!
Aitome then takes her free hand and places it directly on Nyx, spreading a layer of glowing ice around for a few seconds. Then, when the tree begins to fall, Aitome pulls out her blade and slashes at the ice, making it explode in a mass of nuclear energy as she jumps towards the falling tree, trying to run down the trunk to safety, however she could run into a branch.
Stay calm... Don't run into a branch... Don't run into a branch...
*Gasps upon reaching the arena...*
Look out! Tree coming in!
*She grabs a standard chakram, how odd for her, but she doesn't seem to make a move right now. As if waiting to see what happens with the tree.*
Seeing the tree fall, Nana acts quickly

Time seems to freeze, but everyone can still move fine, however, all and projectiles will freeze the moment they're released, and won't move again until the spell is released, this stops the tree in mid air
Someone get up there and hit the thing!
Knock it away from here!
She then picks up her sword and transforms it before running up to the frozen tree

I can see that. But until we think of something else, hitting it in the face is the best I've got.
The tree starts crumbling with Sayaka still climbing it, rather than risk falling, she leaps further up, conjuring two seperate magic circles, one to leap off of the rest of the way up, and another to remain standing on when she arrives

As Deneb falls farther than he anticipated, he attempts to stick the landing. He runs down the collapsing trunk, firing explosive pellets as he does. With each step the wood would fragment beneath his feet.
"I guide myself, I should hope I understand myself!"
After doing a roll onto the ground, Jiyu runs away from the falling tree with his inhuman speed
"Shitshitshitshitshitshit!"
Quitus would turn his hand towards the falling tree and begin concentrating. The tree would begin being engulfed in a golden light as it slowly begins fading away leaving nothing but the tower’s roof down below. Quintus qould breathe heavily as he falls towards the tower having nothing to keep everyone in the air any longer.

Change of plans! Someone catch Tree Man!
The Avatar of Nyx ponders how exactly these people would be attacking him while the tree that there standing on is literally falling under their feet. Besides Aitome of course who was clinging on.
The shadow waves would have no effect as would the physical attacks since Nyx's Avatar is immune to physical attacks in Heidrophant form.
Aitome's attack on the other hand would leave a mark causing a piece of the mask to actually fall of suprsisingly. It's a small piece but progress none the less.
The avatar after recovering from aitome's attack would fly just over the tower staring down at everyone below.
A new card would appear in his hand. This time representing Justice.
"The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed...
To find the one true path, one must seek guidance amidst uncertainty..."
Once again holding its blade the Avatar would raise it high as it begins glowing brightly. Finally, he would lower the blade unleashing a blinding surge of light onto everyone on the tower's top.

Hades: Judging by the Halberd, that's Lu Bu Feng Xian. I had to drag him back to the underworld a few times. Perhaps he remembers me.
*As the light hits, Shade's armour would absorb most of anything that would affect him before vanishing, dissipated by the blinding light. Hades, meanwhile, would launch his chains out at Nyx's mask in an attempt to latch onto it and rip it off.*

Deneb braces himself for impact as he gets blinded by the light. He falls into the floor with a thud, but seems to be still capable of moving.
"This is terrible! How much longer until he shows signs of weakness? Gah! It does not matter!"
Deneb once again looks at his companions, but seems to not find what he wants.
Sayaka uses her cape to cover her eyes, receiving minimal damage from her little position roughly halfway up where the tree was. She looks over to the Nyx Avatar, leaping off towards them
If you're ever uncetrain, you just have to forge your own path ahead, whatever anyone else may tell you. For example, sure, maybe this Nyx thing is supposed to be unbeatable. But that won't stop me
Sayaka's blade would begin glowing a faint blue as she approaches Nyx Avatar's mask, she begins spinning in the air, blade reached out in an attempt to slash across the creature's mask as she falls past it, hoping to then kick off the creature and to relative safety on the ground

Washington manifests in front of Jiyu and tries to protect him from the light, but the light cuts through the persona with ease, causing the light to shine on Jiyu's eyes

Nana transforms her blade again, changing direction as she falls to land on Nyx, the blunt edge of the blade would do little damage, but a small orb of fire would freeze at the point of impact

Shade would find that ripping the mask off wasn't as easy as it may have looked. Not only do his efforts to pull feel like trying to move a mountain but Nyx doesn't even seem to notice the efforts.
The blade would scrape against Nyx's Avatar's mask actually leaving a scratch and causing the Avatar to stagger back.
The chakra would make impact with the Avatar's wing but such a ordinary attack would fail to leave any lasting damage.
Nana's thing would happen, I guess.
The lightning would strike through Nyx's avatar and cause the mask to crack a little more.
Another card would appear in Nyx's hand this time showing the symbol of fortune.

This time around Nyx's avatar four orbs would form. One of fire, one of ice, one of electricity, and one of wind. All four orbs would be sent out to strike at randomly at the group. Each would be hit with a different element.

Hades: Damn this is tough! Oh, and precisely, 15. Over 2000 years, that's not bad. And lady Linqui is fine, Bu. As you would know me you stayed in the damn Underworld and looked for more than 5 minutes before trying to break out again.
*Shade snaps back to reality after an orb of fire almost strikes him, but he manages to leap backwards, avoiding most of the flames. Shade retaliates by sending needles of darkness across the ground towards Nyx.*

Aitome eventually recovers from the blinding light and stands up again, only to be blasted with fire, wind and electricity, but she nulled the ice, even so, she's quite badly wounded
Gahh! Ah... This is not good... C-come! Vestal! Give us some hope for this battle!
Aitome then spins as she draws an evoker from her coat, placing it up to her forehead and firing as she jerks away from it, Vestal, the golden bell of fate tolls as a green light encompasses the party, healing those injured, however it does leave Aitome drained and vulnerable, as she becomes debilitated.
Hopefully that helps a bit! I'll be able to keep going, even if I do feel a little weak now...
Deneb recovers from the blinding light, but as soon as he stands up, he is blasted away by the orb of ice. He skids slowly to the edge of the tower, sand drifting down to his hands.
"N-Not done y-yet! Alright! I guess I have no choice! Aitome, catch!"
Deneb jumps into the air, folding in on himself. Eventually he takes the shape of an odd gun.
"Denebick Buster!"

Quintus would finally hit the ground with a loud slam. He’s badly hurt and can’t get up.
A fire orb approaches Jiyu, who's still on the ground, at a fast speed, but then Washington, who's resistant to fire, grabs the orb with his bare hand with a tight grip on it. Jiyu looks up at his persona and smirks a bit
"Batter up!"
Washington throws the orb into the air and swings his sword at it like a baseball bat, causing it to fly towards Nyx

Seeing the orbs approach, Sayaka would begin leaping around , weaving between the orbs to avoid their erratic movement, she spies Quintus, now lying on the ground and makes her way towards him
I thought one of you was supposed to be watching him? Nevermind, he looks to be in pretty bad shape now.
After maneuvering to Quintus, Sayaka would put her hands on him, back or chest depending on how he landed, and focus, two blue circles of music notes would appear on the ground around her as she channels healing energy into him

Regardless of the attack it seems no magic attacks phase Nyx in this form.
They would glare at the group as they seem to speak on their own now.

The card would begin glowing brightly with a light of absolution before it would explode in a glorious beam of almighty energy. The beam would sweep across the tower's top striking any it touches with a large amount of power.
Nana sees Quintus hit the ground and for the first time, her smile fades

As the beam approaches, Aitome has a lapse in concentration, Vestal disappearing as Ai gets hit by the beam, falling to the floor due to being weakened as she slowly gets up

With statis being done Aitome swings her sword like a bat on her ice spear and sends it directly at Nyx's eyes hoping to blind it, it was a long shot, but just maybe...
Unable to check on the healing progress before Nyx’s next attack, Sayaka would immediately turn around.... Even if she dodged that would leave Quintus in the way, so instead she drops her sword for the moment to extend both arms towards Nyx Avatar, conjuring another set of magic circles to form a protective shield. The blast rocks the very tower, Sayaka’s gem above her navel begins darkening fast from the strain of holding it
Come on, you guys can do this
Seeing Nana take much of the hit, Sayaka would be able to focus her attention on healing Quintus once more

The sky piercer would hit the Avatar. It wouldn't react to the attack by pieces of the mask begin falling confirming the attacks success.
The ice spear strikes the Avatar directly breaking upon impact with it face. No mark seems to be left though for some reason...
The bullets would strike through the Avatar's flesh piercing it this time.
Even Haruko's chakrams slashed seemed to scratch against the Avatar's skin and cause the mask to weaken.
The avatar would move forward to pick up it's blade only to drop it a moment later.
"Ugh, it seems...I have reached a limit to my strength. To think you all would make it this far..."
It would appear the Avatar of Nyx is unable to move. Now is the time to strike!

It seems that the end of the barrels are glowing with pure energy, simply waiting to be released.

With no further attacks, Nana would turn around and help Sayaka with the healing process

Aitome then closes her eyes and focuses, entering a state of calm before opening her eyes again with burning determination, spinning the gun around her finger before pointing the barrel at Nyx

Hades: Of course. And for the record, Bu, you can blame Charon for the nickname. Also, Nyx is the primordial god and embodiment of darkness, not death. Some would say that's worse though.
*Hades ties chains to Shade and uses them to catapult him into the air. Darkness swirls around the head of Shade's scythe, causing it to expand in size. Shade spins rapidly in midair, causing his scythe to create a black and red blurry circle around him as he tries to cut straight down the Nyx avatar, head to toe.*

Jiyu slowly gets up to face Nyx once again. He points towards Nyx making his persona manifest next to him. The Persona then charges towards Nyx at a fast speed with his sword raised
"I-Inferno, again..."
Flames start to rise from the ground again towards Nyx
Deneb's eyes on the base of the gun begin to glow an ominous green.
"Understood!"
His eyes begin emitting green bolts of lightning, which concentrate at the end of each barrel. Before it fires a strange antique string is plucked. Each barrel charges up fully, and lets loose a blinding orange beam. Electricity arcs through the air surrounding the beam as it makes its way towards the Avatar. Aitome is met with an almost earth-shattering force, pushing her back a considerable distance.
Alright, let's give some magic a try!
*contrary to the.... powers she was given yesterday, Haruko pulls out the book she had the last time she was in here.*
I've got exactly one page translated so far, but given my specialty is more on the... defensive side, I figure I should keep at this.
*She opens the book to one of the early pages, waving her hand over the pages in a clearly practiced way. After a moment, she extends her palm as a great ball of fire flies toward Nyx. Well, okay, it's probably more moderate damage than heavy.... but Haruko is learning, dammit!*
With the blast being fired, Aitome digs in her heels, but it continues to push her back and back, grunting as she looks around for something to grab onto
Graahhhh! Come on! Think Ai!
Fortunately for her she remembers the sword she left in the ground, just barely grabbing onto it, nearly missing it as it gets dragged over, using it as an anchor however she barely stays on the platform, teetering on the edge
Heh... Heheh... Too close... Y-you okay there Denby? Did I do it right?
The gun chuckles to itself.
"Quite! I would prefer if you didn't risk falling off the edge though!"
A slice to rend the dark, a beam to pierce fate, and fire to burn the world's dread. All of these attacks the Avatar takes head on. Each knocking it back further and further until finally all at once the mask the Avatar of Nyx wears shatter in half.
Underneath is only darkness, an infinite empty void. The Avatar would finally fall to the ground as strange shadowy particles travel upwards into the air. The Avatar of Nyx was finally defeated having taken more damage than it had even realized.
It was a lo mg battle but it seemed the group had finally come out victorious.
I-is it over? Phew, that wasn't so hard!
Wait, I actually helped win a battle! Ha ha! Wait until I can tell the others about this!
Spectre: Some one help me... I have a internal rupture... Hades don't take me to the underworld...
Well! Sometimes you gotta take a risk right? I'll be fine! No worries! All that matters is that we defeated death itself! Now thats a story to be told!
Aitome then takes a deep breath and does a small stretch, occasionally making a small noise from an injury she didn't notice, but otherwise in pretty good shape, then walking over to the decaying Nyx
What did I tell ya! Fate can be changed. We don't need your prophecies or fortunes! We can choose our own thank you very much!
We won. Somehow. Phew.
*Shade falls to the floor, sitting down.*

The gun would revert to its original state. Deneb then stands tall once more, but seems to be listening for something. Whatever it was he didn't hear it.
"Th-that's not good... The station master is never late for things like this..."
Deneb taps Aitome on the shoulder.
"E-Excuse me, but do y-you recall how I mentioned the junction in t-time? W-well... it doesn't sound l-like the junction's d-direction has been decided, and... well... that's not exactly a g-good thing!"
Quintus having recieved some healing would struggle to get up.
“It’s not..over yet...Nyx...is up there...that was just the harbinger! The fall isn’t over!â€
He was truly shouting with all his strength now or what strength he had left.
*Aitome finishes gloating and turns to the tap with a smile, however when she hears the news she frowns, no... That can't be right
Wait... Didn't we destroy it? How can that be? I don't exactly understand how time works... But if what your saying is true... Its not over? But... How?
*Aitome then hears Quin and tries to look up at the true culprit, where was it?

Finally the "moon" would begin cracki mg in the sky as it seems to draw oddly close. A energy filled with fear would fill the air as the thi mg pretendi mg to be a moon would draw close. Under the exterior was an insect like face that seemed to suck everything into a good of sorts.
It's size was on a purely massive scale. One that was larger than any could believe a shadow could be. The avatar would rise once more mask still broken as it is sucked into Nyx as well.
"Nyx has come...I have already told you. There was never any stopping the fall. This is my true goodbye. "
With that the Avatar would be sucked into Nyx as well.

She continues to heal Quintus

Quintus would pull out the plume of dusk and stare at it. He couldn't calm down, not now. The fear that was growing through him.
It was more massive than he could even imagine. The people of the city, some of his own companions, and his own fear. Nobody wanted to die and yet there was almost nothing that he could do.
"I...I don't know, I think...this crystal can help but...I don't remember why...are we...all going to die...I..."
Quintus would look up towards the approaching entity not with fear but with a certain absolution. He was scares but there was a more powerful emotion flowing through him, despair. He was confused and didn't understand this feeling himself but he began to despair as he felt he failed everyone.
"Is this...going to be the end?"
T-there's no way I can let this be the end.... that's.... that's not everyone's fate! So we must be able to fight this thing... right?
Hades: He ate me, to be fair. Also, I have Dong Zhou in Tartarus if you ever want to... visit.

Nana looks him in the eyes, giving him a reassuring smile, but not stopping Genm's blade

Deneb himself has seemingly zoned out, entranced by the "moon". Upon closer inspection, it seemed he was whispering to himself. These whispers sounded to anyone close enough to hear... like prayers, or... goodbyes.
"Perhaps my life may not end here, but for those who have fought valiantly, I bid them many thanks. If they, too, survive, I'll prepare the biggest feast!"
As expected Quinn's reaction would be one of pain as he grasps at the pain of being stabbed in the chest. Despite the pain though the feeling is also familiar to him. Memories begin flashing back through his mind.
Time feels as though it begin slipping by him. 20 blurry years of purgatory sitting with a man in a strange mask fill his mind. The memory his mind focuses on is that of the blue crystal near the end of his time in eternity.
A plume of dusk, that which fuels his own life. When he snaps back to reality he's laying on the ground bleeding. A blue glow flies out of his chest as the the plume impeded in him is revealed.
"I get it now...My life...is in one of these things..."
He would struggle up as he begins grasping the gem tightly.
"I know what to do but, I'll need everyone's help for this."
Aitome then runs over and sighs a breath of relief, looking at Quin as she shakes Deneb by the shoulder
Come on Denby! It aint over yet! Now then! Just tell us what to do. We are with you 100%. No matter what, we will save Christmas, and this world! Bring us to victory. Leader.
Deneb crouches in front of Quintus.
"You need only tell us what we must do!"
I have no idea what's going on, but I've already stabbed you so I guess I'm on this train until it stops.
*Shade nods *
What’s the plan? Hades and I shall help however we can.
If it means keeping this change of fate off schedule, I'll do what I can.
*She sounded so formal, and yet she clearly was holding back a laugh at that kind of line.*
"Plumes of Disks are shard of Nyx herself. They're capable of defying death itself and can even bring life to that which was once inanimate. Long ago, Nyx was sealed away at the cost of someone's life for that's all he could do to stop Nyx but this time nobody has to die.
It'll probably extinguish this Plume of Dusk but I'll allow us all to repel Nyx directly using my own life. I want to keep the one already implanted on me safe and I think other people do to so it's convenient that we have this one now.
I'm not strong enough to seal Nyx away so this is the beat I can do. I'll be rel you relying on you all to make this work."
Hehe! We've already got your back! There was no need to even ask! Just explain what we gotta do to take down that bag of Trail Mix! What kind of name is that anyways? Never the less! Let's end this!

Nana smiles at Quintus
Give me the order captain!
Deneb would stand at the ready.
So, what do we need to do? Just beat up on that thing?
Quintus would take a deep breath before facing Nyx. He led the plume of dusk high into the air before looking forward. The lameness to his skin and blood flowing out of his was almost hard to notice now.
"I'm not afraid of you anymore Nyx...I used to be afraid of uncertainty because that's what you really are. The fear of uncertainty...
But I think...I can finally accept th at uncertainty. Sure it's scary but wouldn't letting that fear get to me just be getting in the way of the point to life?
A life lived in fear isn't even worth living so I'll accept you Nyx! Even if no one else does I'll accept you so that I can keep living for the sake of the one who no longer lives so that I could...
Lux...I know the truth now...I'm sorry I ignored it so long but I won't hide from myself anymore.
It's time to end this!"
A golden light begins encircling Quintus as his skin once again fills with color. The wound on his chest seems to close up and color once again returns to his clothing.
"Yggdrasil Prime! It's time! Grand Intervention!"
Yggdrasil once again appears with bark of a light gray color and leaves that shines with gold light. Fruit now hangs on the branches and from the base of the tree a golden serpent emerges to wrap around one of the branches.
The tree begins to extend as some of the branches shimmer with gold light before growing to a massive proportion and ramming directly into Nyx. The branches would form a bridge of sorts towards Nyx's maw.
"Now's the time...Yggdrasil Prince's power should make her at least somewhat vunerable. If you can drive her back then we can seal her away once again!"
Deneb salutes, and nods as the shots which he had previously fired into the air finally rained down upon Nyx. He charges in hands blazing.
"I will end by saying this! I'm fairly stubborn!"
It's time!
Lets show Nyx humanity's will to live!
"I, who stand in the full light of the heavens, command thee, who opens the gates of hell. Bring forth divine lightning!"
Nana would speak the encantation, then, as a magic circle glows beneath Yggdrasil Prime, A massive bolt of Lighting would strike Nyx
Ai smiles along with the speech, eyes widening at the mention of Lux, so that's what that gem is, it all makes sense now...
Heh... Even from beyond the grave you help us out... Well then. I won't waste this chance. This is all I've got.
Ai then reaches for her Katana, eyes glowing a bright white as she pulls it out of her sheath, the edge glowing in a rainbow of colors, as a symbol on the sheath itself begins to resonate with the same power the symbol being kanji for Value
Alright. I swore to you that I would change your fate, and I shall do so! Because every life has their own merit! That's why I'll keep fighting! Hell, this blade holds my all. My despair. My hope. My values. Everything that I have learned and used will be condensed into this strike!
I suppose this is goodbye for a while eh, Lux? Well, I know you'll come back. I'll make sure of it. That's how I'll change your fate. By bringing you back. But first comes the world.
Ai then speaks with a strong resolve, shouting out in unison as all the personalities speak together as one, the mesh of colors on the blade at its peak
Nyx! We have chosen to stop you. With this strike. We shall change our Destiny! Go! This is the Virtuous Strike!
They then swing once downward as an ever increasing wave of energy strikes flies towards Nyx, growing in size as it eventually hits her, exploding in distinct colors of the rainbow as Aitome puts the katana back, drained as she falls to her knees
Th-thats all right?
Well, I suppose this is where I put some flourishing finisher I had prepared in advance. But since I haven't prepared anything, I leave you with this instead.
*throws not one, but two Chakrams at the literal moon! And then attempts to skill shot a fireball from the book through them both. Surprisingly, the skill shot works!*
Hey, maybe I should use THAT as my finisher!
*Meanwhile, a lone figure sits on a rooftop not far from the battle*
Huh... Looks like they got it handled themselves...
Well, at least I didn't have to step in this time.
Stupid timeline splits... Ah well, might as well enjoy the finale.
The combined power of everyone's might would resonate against Nyx. The air itself seemed to shake as the tree branches began to break apart. The being known as Nyx would begin to glow with a furious light that covers the whole night sky.
In a final burst of light it would vanish as the plume of dusk within Quintus hands began to turn to dust before disappearing.
Finally, the sun would rise as the eternal night would finally end.
Deneb would listen once again, perhaps this time he'd hear what he was searching for. It seems he does, and he does a little dance.
"Hurrah! Yeah! Yay! We did it! The junction is set, and we're going full steam toward tomorrow!"
The ZeroLiner would blare loudly from below, it sounded almost triumphant. The ZeroLiner would in fact arrive shortly at the top of the tower.
"I-Is anyone in need of a ride? I'm sure Yuuto wouldn't mind if it was for this!"
OOC: Well, that was fun. I'm gonna go back to being a meme now...

*Shade watches everything silently, helping where e could and not falling asleep for an hour accidently because that would be ridiculous.*

*Aitome stares into the dust pile as it floats away, wiping away tears that have been there for a little while now, it was... Beautiful... Hard to describe even. The sun was shining, and they had saved Christmas...
Geez... Now look I gotta do. I've gotta bring you back Lux, but I've got an entire year. Piece of cake in this crazy world I call home.
*Aitome then walks towards the Zero Liner and begins to step inside, before turning to face Quin
Ay! Leader! We aren't leaving you behind got it? Come on! We've gotta celebrate! I'm sure you'll like Denby's candy at least! Although.. That might have to wait....
*Aitome yawns as she fully steps inside and takes a seat, closing her eyes as she drifts to sleep

Yggdrasil prime would begin to fade away in a massive burst of golden light. The only part remaining would be the massive golden root extending out towards the sky from Tartarus.
It seemed that part was no longer part of Quintus. Perhaps it was the life the plume of dusk created instead. Regardless he'd be exhausted except this is the best he's felt all month after nearly feeling like he was dying inside.
"It's finally over. We're alive...is everyone alright? I just realized that I don't actually know."
He would then start to follow everyone inside.
"Uh, sure...also what's with the leader nickname? Not sure how I got that one."

Hades: It was fun, Daniel. Whenever you need me, I shall answer the contract. Don't be scared to call.
*With that, Hades fades to shadows. Shade smirks as he collapses in his seat, giving into his exhaustion and sleeping.*
Quintus would look at Nana with a sigh. Saved the world? He wouldn't even go that far. He was still preserving his own life afterall.
"I don't know how much I want that reputation. People will start expecting more out of me if they hear that."
As people would board the train, they'd be met with a homely smell. It smelled like delicious fresh cooking, and Deneb too would board. He'd present every passenger with a tray of traditional food. Right next to the food lay a small handful of creme and green colored candy. Once everyone boarded, the train would take off, dropping the passengers off at their places of residence.
"It's best to rest after a long fight like that."
And thus Deneb has retreated into the comfort of his bed. Merry Nyxmas to all and to all please don't die!
Right before Aitome drifts off she mumbles to Quin
Don't worry about it... It's a thing of honor... Treat the nickname with respect... I don't just give that one out to anyone...

She giggles and sits in her seat

A once dormant voice speaks up inside of Quintus. It sounds groggy, as though it had just woken up after some time.
"Quintus? What day is it? What's going on? What happened with that Fall thing? Are you okay? I sensed things going awry while I was hibernating."
The voice bombards the man with questions right out of the gate.
Quintus would try to whisper as to not disturb the others.
“Hook? Uh, it was nothing much. Just all the fear of death in the world gathered in one place but the fall’s over now. We were able to figure it out.
Kind of a long story so maybe I’ll just tell you on the way back home.â€
Quin can hear a small burp before speaking again.
""I knew you were looking pretty bad so I just went to sleep and got my fill of all that despair. Talk about a heavy dinner! I'm glad things worked out, we need a world to harvest despair from after all. Anyways, we can talk later, I was just worried something bad happened. Talk to you later."
And with that, the voice stops and Quin is left in silence.
