Phantom Thieves Opinions?
I want people's opinions on "The Phantom Thieves of Hearts" Me, I think that their intentions are just, but forcing people to change is wrong, they all have their own accord. I don't think the Phantom Thieves are the most just people ever But I'm not doubting they exist.
Sounds similar to what that detective Akechi said. I certainly think they're just, in going after those who manipulate and harm the vulnerable, but there is a point where it may be going too far. I'm pretty mixed in my opinion as of now. I see both sides here, and feel I can't make a judgement. On one hand, law enforcement may not be good enough, given some actions of those the Phantom Thieves have changed. On the other hand, we should be able to trust the justice system. If you did find them detective, I am geniunely curious. Would you arrest them? Would they have to be punished under the full extent of the law?

Honestly, I don't know. They seem to have good intentions, their ways of stopping criminals are just a bit.... Over the top.

This is a really interesting topic. Changing people's heart can be a really dangerous thing, as we all saw in the mental shutdown cases, and having that power is a bit too much for a normal person to handle. The only way that the PT can use that power without becoming dictators is by voting to decide if they actually should change the heart in question (as in being too late to redeem itself if not with an heart change) and only going for unanimous vote. They should also have a team that has multiple elements coming from different backgrounds, to actually cover the judgment from various positions. Having a Lawyer and a pro judge in the team is indispensable to give a fair treatment, and a Detective could help proving the actual fault of the criminal. They should absolutely not have connections with the government, as to not become controlled for political use.
I think they're doing the right thing, as long as they stay careful about it. I mean, there are people out there that are doing things that are awful but not technically illegal, and there's also people that the law just refuses to touch even though they should. In cases like those, I think that PT are the only option.
