Taikutsu Bar
*A small bar situated between several alleyways and small buildings, this facility seems to be heavily secluded.. Despite it's location, there seems to be a fair few patrons within the bar's rustic aesthetics.. With the occasional angry drunk, the patrons looks to be lethargic and half asleep... The main bar stood off to the far left of the room, manned by a white-haired male sharply dressed in a white dress shirt, black slacks and a black cloth apron. His collar was fastened with a black ribbon that was fashionably tied together... In the far left of the room were drab colored booths and the far back of the room served for the entrance to the toilets....*
Hoi! Can I get abother round, Boss? Someone on the far corner, spoke to the bartender, her glass empty except for a few trails of bourbon, a tired expression written all over her face. Her suitcase near her seat, she picked the place with less people around *Sigh*
Washing up some plates behind the counter, the white-haired male steadily scrubbed away the stains from the ceramic surfaces and promptly put it in the dryer, turning his attention to the passed out or drunk patrons as he dried his hands.. Sure thing.. Easily grabbing the bottle of bourbon in the shelf behind the counter, the white-haired bartender smoothly filled her glass once more before slinking away back to his station...
The neko grabbed the glass, bowing ger head Thanks Rob... *chug* Heh, never thought I'd see you outside from the hospital! I seriously started to think you'd end paying to live there... wouldn't blame you: The nurses had their eyes on you though...
The newly identified bartender eyed her momentarily before giving a small nod Regardless of what got me into that hospital in the first place, I still need to pay off the bills. And while I could call up some favors to do so, I'm not against the idea to work for a few weeks. If anything, this job is a quiet break from some projects I'm working on to help deal with our...unwanted adversary..
*Chug* She got Hill and your sister busy... heck, she even gave me work! I was amazed though. You barely needed a few weeks to recover, yet that girl destroyed great part of the hospital west wing... I guess I was lucky... *Sigh* but man. So much work now...
The white-haired bartender gave her a small nod before softly flexing his right arm, steadily easing it back to the swing of things after the injuries he suffered during that fight... I wouldn't say barely a few weeks... I'm still recovering but I'm mostly healed now. In all honestly, I got lucky in that fight. If it weren't for Raven or her team, I'd probably be pushing up daises by now... Shaking his head, the white-haired male smoothly fixed up some silent orders by some of the near passed out patrons on the bar before returning to Hyll.. Regardless, what have you been up to recently...?
Managing security at the hospital. The repairs, and mostly paperwork... She had already drinked the glass, leaning forward with a tired sigh It's straining. Hill helps me whenever he is not busy with this recent case. But lately, he's been with Raven-san more... I'm happy for them, just a little tired... But apart of that? Nothing interesting, I'm quite plain. She was eyeing the bartender, smiling You? How did you found out about this place?
The white-haired bartender tided up his station, putting away some bottles and clearing up the counter of any excess of drinks or emptied glass.... I helped started this place up actually.. It's not until recently I insisted in working here for a few weeks..
You clearly picked the perfect spot... not. Although, this place has this air... it fits my mood... Glad to see you working here though, because those two doesn't really look helpful at all
Clocking in for his shift, the white-haired bartender returns, immediately cleaning up the counter of any empty drinks and stained plates and tending to the passed out patrons as he called for cabs... Seems like a distressing time for most people huh...?
Business seems to be stale as usual.. The white-haired bartender didn't pay any mind at the chance of reduced pay as he kept working, mind idly blank with his body moving about behind the counter...
A young looking man walks into the bar, his most noticeable traits being his straight black hair and Red jacket. He's also wearing sunglasses for some reason. "Well, if this ain't the definition of a shady bar, I don't know what is..." He walks over to the counter, sits down and waves at the bartender.
A man with glasses, black hair, a neat white coat, and a saitiable reputation walks into the bar and goes up to the counter. "Hello there, mind if I ask you a favor buddy?" He asks the bartender.
*Naby walk into the bar, first taking a look around the place before walking up to the counter in hopes to get a drink, he soon notices Gideon and thinks "Hey is that a Scott Pilgrim character... whats his name, Gideon that his name"*
Gideon notices Naby from the corner of his eye, but doesn't bother to talk to him.
Gideon then leaves the bar, leaving with a poster on the wall saying,
Chaos Theatre Opening soon in a building near you
Kotori unlocks the front door and walks behind the counter before running back to the door and flipping the "Open" sign and returning to her spot Oof.... so this is the "Chores" Onee-chan spoke about...... Meh, At least Dad is paying us.... She grabs a glass of chocolate milk from the back and begins sipping, waiting for customers
Eito is sleeping on the counter. LOUD SNORING
Oi! Kotori smacks Eito with a newspaper Don't drool on the counter! I gotta wash that y'know!
Hmm.... Ah yes, Izumi. It's been a little while since she was about. She wandered in seemingly absentmindedly, looking at a pair of cards in her hand. The magician is now drawn straight, but the tower has changed again...
Yo Card Lady! Buy somethin will ya? Oh, and do my fortune thingy again, I wanna see if it's changed any.
Magus jumps fron the shadows and lands outside the door, he takes out his cape and opens the door to walk in. Greetings.
Yo, Welcome, Sit on down and have a drink or somethin.
Buy something? You must be new to this whole shopkeeping thing. As or your fortune, I think I have it already....
Magus looks at Kotori. Are you the attendant?
Eito is unbothered by the newspaper and continues sleeping. LOUDER SNORING
Yep, I'm the attendant. Taking care of the bar while dad is asleep. She smacks Eito harder with the newspaper And yeah, I'm kinda new to shop-keeping and stuff. So what?
Eito twitches and almost wakes up, though ultimately stays down. EVEN LOUDER SNO-Wait, no, it stopped.
Another child? Why the childs are taking care of this cafes? I shouldn't think about it. Magus looked away while he was thinking, but he looked again to Kotori, giving her a serious and angry look, he wasn't angry or anything, but he couldn't help it. Do you know a woman called Schala?
You need to be kinder, that's what. She then puts down the two cards she was looking at. I see you've made progress, though. These two card represent the current path of the future, and your magician has turned itself back upright. You have found a stern will and unerring determination, which will bring about your infinite potential. Though, I drew two cards. The tower, which once was your other fate, has changed. Indeed, the card depicted a flat, drawn scene. It was still muddled, and tough to make out, but the design clearly was that of... a witch's barrier. Someone is in great danger of taking the fate you've rejected...
Nope, Never heard of her. She doesn't seem to care about the glare I don't just sell drinks either, I sell stuff I make in my garden too. Just ask, I'm sure whatever you need I have! She looks at the cards Huh. That's nice. I hope they know what their doing. And I guess that other part is nice too.
In a wild twist of fate, Eito woke up. "Huh?" "Oh." He looks wt his surroundings. "I need to stop sleeping in places like these."
Yeah, You do. Kotori tosses a rag at Eito Now wipe your drool off.
Well, it turns out someone is simply crabby today. Sleep on a rock or something?
Thanks for answering, if you see her, tell her I'm searching her, she has a hair like mine, I hope it helps you to recognise her. Magus looks at Izumi's cards he noticed something strange in them, is the first time he sees that kind of cards What kind of magic are that cards?
(edited by Magus)
No, it's just frustrating how Dad barely even talks to me, but he still expects me to do chores for him... And right, I'll keep an eye out for her if I remember.
"What infernal drool are you talking about?" "I never drool-Oh wait, there's drool." Eito shrugs, wipes it up and throws the rag at Kotori. "Done."
These cards? Oh, they're tarot cards. They're used to predict the future. I've done some improving, though, and sometimes they just do things on their own. Like the Tower here. It apparently has started picking up on and changing appearance to match various Witches. But as for my own improvements, I've actually started trying to meld actual magic into them as well. For instance.... I've got one in here somewhere that can make ice appear! She reaches into her side bag and fumbles around a bit, before pulling out a fairly P4-standard Empress card. Before looking over at Kotori. Well.... is your Dad nocturnal or something?
"How gentlemanly of you, Eito..." A blue haired teenager with a black beanie on his head is leaning on the door with his arms crossed, looking directly at Eito. He's also spinning a strange blue card in his hand. "Just throwing rags with your drool on it at people."
Kotori catches the rag and trashes it I dunno, he's just never really around. She refills her chocolate milk Is anyone gonna buy anything?
Cards used to predict the future? Maybe those cards are like that one's wirh a different name... should I... no, is pointless, the black winds tells me what I need to know... Are you learning magic?
Learning? Well I suppose you could say that, though honestly I have enough books on the subject already. It's more I'm trying to turn those into something more functional. Though I guess some people might say I look like a kid playing pretend with all this stuff. I probably am a little, since I always did love Magical Girl shows and Masked Rider.
"Let me stop you right there." "I have done much-MUCH worse things to people in my years." Eito tilts his head to the side, a snarky look on his face. "This is nothing."
"Oh really, like what?" Jiyu gets off of the door, walks over to the counter and leans on it.
Magus analyzed Izumi, he thought a way to test her magic skills, he quckly came up with a few ideas. Magus opened his hand and a little flare appeared on it. Try to grab this flare without burning yourself.
"Well, there was this one time in high school..." Eito leans on the counter, a genuine smile on his face as he reminiclsces. "Tell me, have you ever heard of...Blue balls?"
Sigh I'll be here if you wanna buy stuff. Kotori shrinks behind the counter
Grab a flare? What, are you some kind of Kung Fu Hermit? She reaches out with confidence to grab the fire.
"No, I have no idea what th- Of course I've heard of it before." Jiyu folds his hands, waiting for Eito to continue his story:
"Good, it's central to the story." He gets up quickly striking a dramatic pose, pointing at Kotori. "Bartender, get me a soda or something."
*Is still here*
(edited by naby)
Don't be afraid, you won't die. ... ... And I'm not a kung fu hermit.
I'm anything but afraid. She grabs for the flame, of course.
Magus looks how Izumi grabbed the flare, it remains in her hand it is not stable as it was with Magus, but it is there. Looks like you don't feel pain, that is a good signal, from what I can see you will be able to use fire magic, but I can't tell if you will be able to use advanced skills. Magus closed his hand and the flare disappeared. Do you want to try with another element?
(edited by Magus)
Jiyu's still waiting for Eito to continue his story...
I don't think I'd need to, I know my limits. She'd grab a clear gem out of her bag and then notice the flare is gone, looking between Magus and the empty hand rapidly like some comedy, before putting the gem away. If anything needs to be tested it's a certain fluffy con artist's resistance to fire, though.

Eito, while waiting for Kotori, gets impatient and sits back down, starting the story. "Okay, so, i'd like you to imagine little old me." "First year in high school, optimistic, innocent and happy!" "That was a lie, I had already grown to have a consistent hatred of people, more specifically teenagers." Eito shrugs and leans back. "So, during my days, I met a guy named...Let's just call him Jerry." Eito leans forward, towards Jiyu with his hand extende but closed, using it to emphasize. "Now Jerry, he was a dick."
As you wish, I'm not going to force you, if you have a question about magic, ask me I'll help you with it.
"How much of a dick?" Jiyu sits in a chair to make himself comfortable.
"I'll get to that soon." Eito waves dismissively in Jiyu's direction. "Let's just establish a couple things first." "Number 1:I had gathered a somewhat interesting reputation as a manipulative asshole, a snitch, a betrayer and a pansy." "I'll let you figure out which were true." "All in all though, people said that I was a shitty but admittedly smart kid who was actually too much of a pansy to protect himself." "A perfect target for bullying." Eito snapped his fingers at the word 'Bullying'. "Bullying, that's our key word here as it happened to be mister Jerry's biggest hobby!"
When the time was right, Gideon decided to walk right back into the bar and sit next to Eito, saying, "Bullying, huh? Must've been tough for you, buddy..."
(edited by Gideon_Gordon_Graves)
OOC: Sorry, IRL got in the way. Kotori stands up behind the counter You just said "Soda" What kind of soda? Ya gotta be specific. She pours some sprite into a glass and places it in front of him
Eito grins and quickly leans towards Gideon. "You'd be surprised how worth it it was to see this asshole get in trouble every time he did some shit." "So I took the damage and let him dig himself deeper." He turns to Kotori, nods, grabs the glass and sips.
Jiyu's eyes widen a bit. "I never knew that you got bullied before."
(edited by Jiyu-Hatanaka)
"So, take the pain and let him take the punishment, sounds pretty reckless if you know what I mean..." He pats Eito on the back, unbeknowest to him that he just infected him with 'The Glow'
Hold up, so do you guys want me to finish the story or breakdown due to my emotional problems because of The Glow?
Ooc: I wanna see you have an emotional breakdown. That doesn't sound weird at all.
*Naby sighs and just watches... hopeful nothing happens to him*
Blu
(Arrives at the bar looking exhausted)
The white-haired bartender once again clocks in for his shift.. It seems a lot happened while I wasn't on the clock...
No one responded for an hour and I fell asleep. Guess i'll wait for the participants to return if i'm gonna continue with the blue balling story.
Robin eyes his patron weirdly ....You're girlfriend denying you even though she teasing you? ..Is that what you mean by blue-balling story or...?
"It's a story back from my high school days." "And the blue-balling definitely didn't happen to me, I'd have to get a girlfriend for that."
Robin gave an amused look at Eito before subtly pulling away the drinks from him ...Are you drunk or..?
He-llooo, everyone! A cheerful voice rings throughout the bar as a teenager strolls in. He puts what seems to be a gaming device into his pocket, all with a carefree grin. We telling stories here?
Robin chuckles a bit as he turns to Kade.. Aw nothing much, this gentlemen here was about to regale me with his story about 'blue-balling'.. A snicker tears out of his throat as he starts to clean up the empty glasses of passed out patrons...
A wonderful story indeed. So, you got anything you recommend? I've been wanting to try drinking again for a while. He's certainly a bit too young to legally drink, but he doesn't seem to care about that.
robin considers his new patron for a bit before shrugging and pulling out an unmarked bottle from the cabinet below. Pouring in half in an empty glass, the white-haired bartender stylishly swiped a Vodka bottle off the rack and graciously filled the rest of the glass before sliding it over to Kade, the glass stopping in front of him. The alcohol mix was colorless but it fizzled a fair amount.. Be careful with that one, that's a creeper drink after all
"Haven't had a drink in multiple days, so i'm good." "Either way, I think I need to...Deal with something back home." A look of annoyance comes up as he remembers the GYM's constantly being broken door. "Guess you'll have to listen to me another time." Eito gets up and starts walking out.
Thanks, man. Kade takes the drink and takes a small sip. Strange, but not bad. ooc: I'll have to go for class, so our lovely little friend here will just be hanging out here until my return.
Looks at his watch before clocking out for the night.. Kotori might take the morning shift..
Gideon chuckles to himself as he then walks out the bar, leaving his buisness card on the table for the white haired bartender to see.
*The Stormcaller/Renox teleports out of a outlet as Arc energy disperses oit of his coat* Gmorning there.
Heh.. Not really much going on... Kade gets up and leaves, taking out that device once more.
Clocking in for his shift, the white-haired bartender returns...
Entering the bar while twirling his new cane around, Eito sits down in front of the bar with a smirk. "Heya!'
A little more than exhausted, the white-haired bartender sat down on the stool, resting momentarily...
*walks onto the scene* Hi.
Kotori enters the Bar, and upon seeing it open, hops onto a barstool Hiya daddy.
Giving a small nod towards his new customers, Robin sat up, returning to his station behind teh bar.. Hey there kiddo
Chocolate milk please! She swings her legs, looking at Marisa Hiya~
*Marisa takes a seat at the counter* Do you have anything sweet? Father said that sweet things after a long day of fighting taste great. *Marisa turns her head to Kotori* Hello!
(edited by Marisa_Sakura)
The white-haired bartender gave a slight chuckle at his daughter's order before he ducked down, readying up her order... Well, we mostly have alcoholic beverages but we do have a fair share of non-alcoholic drinks. If you had something in mind, we might have it in stock and ready to be used.
Something with alcohol in it please. I've had a bit too much fighting today, and I could sure use a drink right about now. Like I said, something sweet please.
How's it been going Daddy? Waving to Marisa, Kotori pulls off her pouches from her waist and lay's them on the counter
The white-haired bartender rubs his chin momentarily in thought, before turning around and grabbing a bottle of chocolate liquer and pouring it into a glass. After filling it, Robin placed the glass in front of Marisa, noticeably making the glass different from the glass that held Kotori's drink.. There ya go...
Thanks Daddy. She pulls a Mortar and Pestle out of her bag, then begins pulling various herbs and plants out and laying them on the counter in front of her, taking a drink of her chocolate milk Do I have to pay?
Thanks. *She plops a bag of yen on the counter and takes a sip* Mmm... delicious!
Robin shook his head towards Kotori Nah, it's on me sweetie. While he grabbed the yen from Marisa, Robin slipped in some of his bills into the counter.. I've been alright Kotori, just mostly been working here..
Oh? I got a job at a flower shop... It pays pretty good.... She grabs two different plants and starts mashing them up together
*she takes another sip* Ahh... I need to stop getting into so many shananigans. I'm not my father, I can't summon the spirits of gods know where or what to power myself. Hell, I can't take on an entire army by myself. Heh, guess that's why I just have to keep learning... *She takes a third sip* Ahh...
Robin shoots Marisa an arched brow, curious before turning to his daughter A job huh? As a flourist? Sounds magnificent Kotori, real proud that you are being so independent.. Reaching over the counter, Robin softly pats his daughter's head.. Good girl..
*takes a fourth sip* Mmm...Star...father...how the hell did you put up with all this action every day? I mean, you go on a killing spree every other day, so just...how...? *Takes a fifth sip, the alcohol getting to her* Ahh...
Yeah. I'm happy too.... I got this huge garden I made, it's got tons of different plants from differ worlds... After mashing the plants up, Kotori infuses the Mortar and Pestle with water magic, then scrapes the paste into a round capsule I also get some pocket change from selling the stuff I make with the plants!
*a man in a armored trench coat and helmet which radiats purple void light walks in with a sniped slinged over his shoulder* Damn it I hate Faceless hunting...
Robin grins at Kotori as he pulled his hand away.. All grown up huh..? And just yesterday, it felt like you were still small and had blue hair.. Vividly recalls the the day he met her and her sister.. Yeah.. All grown up.. Looks to Marisa, eyeing her carefully as she slowly got drunk before looking over to the telephone... Probably should get ready to call a taxi in case she passes out...
*he sets his sniper which guile netting covers the scope next to the seat he sat* Now then... I need some straight black coffee...
Nah, nah, I'm good. I'm just gonna... *She downs the rest of her drink* Ahh... I'm going home. Night all. *She gets up and leaves the scene, mumbling something about giant green fat man and stone faces*
Robin eyed the stranger with an unreadable expression before he gave a nod and proceeded to make the man's order. After a few minutes, his coffee was placed on the counter before him..
Kotori slightly pouts W-well.... I'm still small you know... I'm not a grown up yet..... I'm just... growing up.... That's all.... She puts the capsule in her pouch, then begins on another one. Taking another drink of chocolate milk
*he takes off his helmet which reveals to be a teen with light purple hair and some burn marks in his right cheek and left temple which raidates purple smoke* Thanks sir. And to another day of cleaning up the few remaining Faceless near the forests of Nohr... *he raises his cup and drinks it with some sense of pride*
Robin smiles at Kotori as he cleans up at the bar.. Well, regardless of how much you grow up, you'll always be my little lovable daughter! Reaching over once more, he pinched Kotori's cheek in a playful manner..
*he chuckles to the cute sight and leaves five genuine silver coins as payment while finishing up his drink* Thanks for the boost sir. *he grabs his rifle and puts on his helmet which glows yet again. He give the barista a thumbs up and leaves*
Robin gives a nod towards Geist before going to clean up.. You're welcome sir.
Hehehehe~ She giggles, finishing a second capsule and her milk Thanks Daddy.... Looking outside, she sees the moon crawling in the sky and begins to pack her things up It's getting late.... I should probably go home... and go to bed.... She puts her pouch belt on and skips over to Robin, Getting on her tiptoes and giving him a kiss on the cheek before heading out the door Bye Daddy! Love you!
Robin grins at Kotori before shouting after her. Bye Kotori! Love you too sweetheart!
Arriving once more upon this quiet bar, the white-haired bartender checks in for his shift.. Smoothly shuffling across behind the counter, his hands easily swiping away empty and used drinks and bottles, sorting out the bar with a gusto... It took awhile...but I guess I'm back..
Magus junped from the shadows, he landed outside a few steps away from the door, after that he walked towards the door to open it. Greetings.
Giving the man a neutral expression, the white-haired bartender nodded, acknowledging the man's entrance, his eyes closed as he delivered a courteous bow before resuming his work. Gesturing to the empty stool in front of the bar, Robin quietly walked over to the front, awaiting the man's order...
Magus looked at Robin, giving him a serious look. Excuse me, do you know something about a woman called Schala? She has a hair like mine, she wears blue clothes and she has a pendant like this. Magus took his pendant and showed it to Robin, the pendant looks like a normal one, except for a strange small rock with a blue shine.
Eyeing the pendant carefully, the white-haired bartender shook his head after a few moments, giving a neutral stare towards him before bowing in an apologetic manner... ..It's not...exactly familiar...sir..
Magus looked again at Robin piercing him with the look. what do you mean? That woman is important to me, if you know somehting is better if you tell me.
The white-haired bartender returns, clocking in for his shift once more as he made his way behind the bar, tending to several near-unconscious customers...
Appearing once more in the deserted bar, the white-haired gunslinger shrugged and went to clean the counter, clocking in for his new shift...
(A 7'3 snake centipede hybrid slithers in, and something is different about him, his skin seeks to be cracking, and flaking off)...ohhhhhh..god, this sucks...
