7's sword strikes the shadow in the back, blowing a small hole in it, the hole begins closing, yet... Its much slower than before. Satisfied with having dealt with the pests behind it, the shadow raises one of its clawed wings
As far as Emerald goes, the girl takes a deep breath, closing her eyes for the moment as she thinks. Homura's making guesses, its at least a good thing to try addressing them, if she can.
Emerald: I... I mean, I know it happens, but I haven't really seen many people die. That one's really just like they said, it feels nice protecting people who can't protect themselves, sure, maybe its not some selfless hero thing, but I mean... It makes sense that... I hate their lamb analogy, but to say it in the shadow's words, a shepherd is above the flock, no? I never really thought of it that way, but its not outrageous.
The shadow twitches for a moment, face falling downward, the wound slowly stops healing, to the point where its about normal speed
Emerald: I... Yeah, lets not really get into this one, I care for them alot. murder is out of the question, no matter how much Amethyst makes me want to try. I'm not a murderer....
The shadow continues moving, slowly but surely as Emerald looks down
Emerald: I mean, if I had to choose between her or them... Not giving any indications for who or anything, I'd probably let them go.
Emerald scratches the back of her head, man, sure seems convenient you have enough time to talk this much, but so is fiction
Emerald: As for monsters. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Its not that they're necessarily terrible or anything. I just.... My job as a Magical Girl is to kill them to make sure they don't get to hurt anyone... And here its just so much more confusing as to what is what.
In that instant, the Shadow's grin returns as it thrusts its wing-tip into Emerald, straight through her jeweled clasp. For a moment, the girl remains impaled as the creature gleefully lifts her body
Shadow: Not good enough. Horrible creature driven by hatred, don't worry, I'll get your revenge for you. I'll be much better than you ever could have, for both your sake, and Tsukiko's.
With those final words, the Cathedral begins to fall apart, the originator of it dead, the whole church-like area simply seems to collapse in an instant......
Any survivors would soon wake up in the appliance store, just outside the TV. A few hours would have passed between when they entered the TV and when they stirred, and of course, there's no sign of Emerald. Nor Kyubey, the creature likely ran off somewhere into the night. Homura might check her phone to find a single text, roughly an hour old
"Is "Emerald" with you? I was supposed to meet her again today, but she took off without a word and hasn't answered her phone. You're not doing anything reckless, right?"
