Branching Truth
Fate Leads the Willing, and drags along the reluctant - Seneca Whether they are aware of it or not, whatever they may have thought. Whatever they did, matters not to the gears eternal. A group of people, yourself included, find themselves in a large, seemingly empty white space. The void only seems to go on for miles and miles, expanding in every direction, broken up only by a massive set of gears nearby. That and the older-looking woman standing next to them, the girl is looking up at the gears, hand rubbing over one of the larger ones as if to polish them while they turned ???: any moment now, should be good as new. They seem rather focused at the moment, yet with the general emptiness there is little else to consider in the area
(A skeleton turtle would rise from the ground, with light blue boots and gloves) ....Clank!
Suddenly aware of his odd location, Owain looks around, trying to make out anything in the white void around him, somehow missing the large set of gears. He puts his hand on his chin, then over his eye. "So, has my time come? Did this swordsman of destiny finally meet his end? Hah, surely you jest! No walls can restrain a chosen hero! Even if you kill me a thousand times, I'll always return, and you'll pay- er, whoever did this to me!" Owain turns around and finally notices to large gears, as well as the woman standing beside them. He stares at her for a moment, before walking over and presenting himself. "Hark, do you perhaps happen to be some emissary of Death itself, or... are you truly the one and only!? Should you be, I warn you, I'll not hold back to free myself from the chains of demise! ... And, um, if you're not, miss, I apologize."
....clank...?
A young girl grins and closes a door, she'd slide the key into her pocket and begin walking off from her semi-recently opened cafe... Only to suddenly find herself in some empty void, a set of gears turning in the middle of it. And then an old woman... She'd look at them, coughing for a moment and raising an eyebrow. "Excuse me, can you explain what exactly I'm doing here? I could say what is this place or something, but frankly, I'm more concerned with why I'm needed, and how to leave." She'd speak in a matter of fact tone, glancing down at a ring on her finger now and then as she gazes toward the only other being in this vast and empty void for the moment. This place almost feels like a barrier, but it doesn't quite have that same hostile air to it of a Witch... Only to then hear Owain shouting, she'd just sigh and shake her head a bit before greeting the man with a smile. "Hello Owain-san, I see you've come here as well then? Somehow I doubt we are dead, considering the fact that I was just locking up my shop when this happened. And well, few things could end me without any warning. No... We're here to do something, would be my best guess."
Alto would begin looking around. He was unsure of where he was, even more so than usual. He was almost awestruck by the sight of an endless void but it reminded him of someone's spirit world in a lot of ways. The only difference was that there was actually nothing here rather than an endless sea made up of twisted memories that surrounded a spirit world. Alto would seem to be in a trance for a moment before moving closer to the woman. He would seem to focus more on the gear she was polishing though. The gears actually did almost look like something you'd find from a twisted memory to him. "Do the gears need to be clean to function properly? I don't think it will get very clean from just your hands but I don't know much about technology like this."
The woman sighs and calmly turns around, her long white dress coming close to the ground. Hers eyes remain closed for the moment, a wide smile plastered across her face ???: More fitting words than you realize Owain. But alas, you don't end up dying just yet, I know that's technically a spoiler but I trust everyone here has figured that much out. You may call me Constatium. Constatium bows to her three guests, opening her eyes to glance over Homura.... Her cheerful expression fading away to a more exhausted one. Constatium: If you're worried about this taking too long fear not, when I'm done with you you'll be able to pick up right where you left off, no problems. The woman puts one hand over her heart and bows to Homura, some sort of custom perhaps Constatium: That much I guarantee. As soon as we're all here I can begin explaining. Alto soon feels a soft, gloved hand on his shoulder, immediately followed by another woman, identical to Constatium save for her black dress walks by him, her eyes focused on the set of gears herself ???: The gears are only a metaphor, I'm sure you've heard how the gears of fate are forever turning? It serves as a visual representation of the flow of time. The black-dressed girl walks over to the gears, hand gliding along them as Constatium takes over, her usual cheer fully returned Constatium: There you are Vicis, right on schedule. Anyways, its about time for you to start explaining.
Owain turns around at the sound of Homura's familiar voice. He gives her a friendly wave, then looking back to Constatium. "Heh, as I said, death can't hold this warrior of justice! Even if I've fallen, with no hope left, I'll fight through and save the day!" Striking a heroic pose, Owain then coughs into his hand and settles himself down. "Now, milady Constatium, milady... it was Vicis, yes? Please, go on!"
Clonk ponk clink clonk!
Alto would almost express a bit of concern but it wasn't because of where he was but rather because the woman's words reminded him of something troubling. "The flow of time...Yeah, time doesn't really stop flowing. So, I guess this is the part where you tell us what you need help with, right? Whatever it is, I'm always willing to help out, especially if it's something important."
Oh dear god, the flow of time? Homura just groans and pulls the key from her pocket. "That look on your face says you know me, so I'm sure you are well aware of my... History, in time and such? I'm not exactly the best at controlling it, but I'll lend what I can to help you out... If only so that I can get back home anyway." She'd then return the woman's bow, just feels like the right thing to do for some reason. "Anyway, Alto-kun is right I'm sure. And I'd rather not cease existing or something because time broke, so let's hear it."
...clunk..
Vicis almost seems to be struggling a moment as she focuses on the gears, Constatium sends the other girl a sharp glare, as one who suspects something's amiss. Shortly after hearing Homura's voice, Vicis breaks her composure and runs towards the group, before trying to pick Homura up in a hug Vicis: Oh my god why didn't you tell me you were bringing my favorite mortal, come on, don't be shy!! whether or not Homura dodges the attempt, Constatium would clear her throat, in an obvious effort to get the other's attention Constatium: I believe the three of us can agree that it would be best not to bring up what you two have done. Instead, perhaps focus on the reason we needed them? Best not to interfere any more than we have to. Vicis would soon recover, letting go of Homura had she been able to grab the younger girl, though regardless she would remain rather close Vicis: Right, right. Anyways, my sister and I have been helping to maintain the timestream, not the only ones with that job here, but since the big guy's a bit busy, we sort of act as maintainence workers now. Bit below us if you ask me. Constantium sighs and taps her foot, picking up where Vicis left off Constatium: That mostly means we monitor the various timelines to ensure nothing goes awry. Long, boring job, but ours nonetheless. That is until recently. Things seem to be falling out of place rather rapidly, far faster than that old man can deal with. Vicis grins, finally stepping back towards her sister, her earlier composed nature completely falling away to a cheery overtone Vicis: 'Course, we're not allowed to interfere directly, not even to fix things, so that's where you come in. You're to come at our beck and call and fix these little issues for us, no biggie right? Naturally it'll all be over rather soon, I can guarantee it.
After taking in this information, Owain begins to chuckle, before putting his hand back over his face. "So you call upon one like myself, who was once a foreteller of a dark future, to once again brave the vastness of time's open sea and resolve what perils those who seek it's destruction bring? Then I pledge myself to you, as Owain Dark, The Dark Bulwark to Time, that I will serve you with the utmost faithfulness! And now, we must think... of a name! Oh, how about... the Links Between Time! Or maybe... the Star-time Crusaders! Oh, but what about... the Time Vigilantes!"
(edited by Sword_Hand)
Homura would just stand still and accept the hug, not because she wants to but rather since she's entirely too stunned to dodge. "Wh-what... Why are you touching me, what have I done to become your favorite? Honestly, given the things I've pulled, I'd have thought myself a problem." The girl would blush a bit as Vicis hovers near her, geez she's not used to people being this touchy-feely for the most part, let alone someone she doesn't even know. Either way, the girl shakes her head and tries to focus. Fixing things huh? About what she expected it to be in that case. "Beck and call huh... I don't like doing things on people's orders honestly, even more, if it's people I don't know, but well I guess we can't exactly let time tear itself to bits or something. So alright I'll do what I can to help!"
Alto would smile while nodding anxiously. It wasn't in his nature to just leave a problem be despite the somewhat eccentric nature of those he would be helping. At the very least, they weren't as bad as other eccentric figures he had dealt with in the past. "Alright, so fixing time? Wish I could do something like that on my own but I guess it's better for the past to remain as it is. Nevermind, I got a bit distracted with my own thoughts but I'm willing to help. This seems important so I'll try not to mess it up to the best of my abilities."
Vicis giggles and pats Owain on the back, just listening to him is... A riot, that's to be sure Vicis: Whatever you decide to call yourselves, just try not to be too open about it. We're supposed to keep our interference to a minimum. Constantium's glare shifts between Homura and Vicis, before the woman ultimately sighs Constantium: You're both a problem, that's why Vicis here isn't allowed to do things without me hovering over her anymore. Vicis puts on an innocent smile, hiding behind Owain as though scared of her sibling's glare Vicis: Its not my fault, she was so cute, how could I say no? After casting her sister one last annoyed glare, Constantium steps up to the gears to address the whole group again. Constantium: As Vicis mentioned earlier, for our purposes it is best if you leave as little of an influence as possible. For now, we've decided on a bit of a test run. Its a rather enclosed area, so there shouldn't be too many ways you can screw it up. Your task is simple, to maintain the proper course, all you have to do is give someone a little courage. Confidence in himself and all that. Fail, and his timeline will be shifted considerably, and our.... Co-worker will have to deal with it from there. Constantium begins moving her right hand along the gear, leaving a faint trail of light as she goes. In a few seconds, she seems to make a doorway etched across the machinery Constantium: If there are no further questions, this will take you to the proper timestream.
"Ah, yes, the woes of time travel! One must keep themselves unknown, which, er, we didn't back home. But fret not, we learned of a shocking truth; it had little harm on the world! However, as I respect and trust you, I shall don a title to shroud my identity in mystery! Naught would fit but the name, 'Eldigan!' As the previous wielder of the demon sword, Mystletainn, which sits at my hit, no one name aligns more perfectly with my being!" Owain unsheathes his blade, holding it into the air as he turns around to face Homura and Alto. "My companions, the Cross Time Knights, heed my call! Together, we shall march forwards into the abyss of time, seeking to find those who would ruin it, and bring them to their knees! Now, who's with me!"
Couldn't say no... Both a problem, this woman has something to do with her power in some way, doesn't she? "Well, either way, those days are long over for me... Beyond the odd sudden stop, I don't deal in time anymore, not given the lack of fine control. Hopefully, that isn't an issue since I have no plan to quit." Homura would just giggle upon hearing Owain's name, it's a bit silly but who's she to complain about such things anyway? Either way... This whole thing is gonna be a real pain for her, isn't it? Alto seems decent enough, but no way to know how well he can adapt to these timelines. And these two stand out, assuming said times are like usual Tokyo Homura isn't too strange looking beyond being a bit young... But swordsmen? "You two might want to try and look a bit more normal, and l let me store those swords too... I can get them out again fairly quickly, and trust me if we're in anything remotely like normal Japan rather than the usual madhouse weapons will be an issue to carry around." With that, she'd turn on her heel and begin walking toward the doorway. Entering it with a curious look on her face as she wonders exactly what they'll be dealing with here. As Owain hands her the blade, a shield would flash into being for a moment before the girl places the weapon inside it. With that, she'd nod at Owain.
(edited by Homura-Akemi)
Alto would nod before walking past Owain. He'd place a single hand on his shoulder as if to agree. "Well, people already call me commander of the Tune Knights so being a Cross Time Knight doesn't feel like all that much of a shift. This time I think maybe someone else could make for a better commander though. Anyway, let's get going! There are people who need our help!" With that said Alto would move towards the doorway before attempting to cross through it. He wasn't sure where it would take him but he already had his mind set on this task.
"Right, acting... normal. And... no swords. W-well, let's go, Cros- er, companions." Owain sighs before puting the sword back into it's sheath, removing them from his belt, and running over to Homura as she heads to the doorway, handing her the sheathed blades before they enter.
Constantium shouts after the group as they walk through the doorway Constantium: Don't worry about it too much, so long as you don't leave too much evidence, you'll be dismissed as a dream. Simply keep your things on you, and try not to break anything, alright? As they fade into the light, Alto, Homura, and Owain would overhear the pair's voices growing ever fainter Vicis: Can I keep the dumb one? Its so adorable how he thinks he knows what's happening. Constantium: Stop asking to keep people, the answer will always be.... With that, the doorway's faint light gives out to a black, the three find themselves stuck uncomfortably close together, with Homura up front and Owain near the back inside of an old closet. The doors are a sliding screen of sorts, which allows some view of the dark hallway wall across from them. They can hear a sound like static coming from their right, in addition to a faint glow, like that of a screen.
Homura would slowly walk to the right, stopping for a moment to speak with the others in a hushed tone. Something about that sound... Almost like a TV? TVs, could that mean what she thinks it does? "Hmm, I know that sound. TV static I believe? Or a radio perhaps but something tells me it's the former. I believe I have some clue what we'll be dealing with, but it's all conjecture so I'll simply keep that to myself for now." She'd press on, searching for the source of the sound and glow with a curious expression on her face.
Alto would quickly try to get out of the cramped space after Homura. He wasn't used to being in such a tight spot and wasn't particularly happy about it. Despite being a little annoyed he'd still try to compose himself to further investigate. He'd quickly try to whisper back to Homura. "Right, uh, what's a TV? Travel Vendor? Two Vipers? Uh, sorry, I'm mostly just guessing at this point."
"A-agh, can I have a little... help? Maybe?" Owain tries to push the clothes away from his face and look out the open door, but not leaving the closet. Oh, maybe it stands for Teleporting Velvet! Or... something!
exiting the closet reveals little of interest straight ahead to the right of the closet, merely a door with a single pair of shoes slipped off in front of it. Likely the entrance. Of more interest is the sound coming from a simple, open door to their left. Through that door, lit only by the light of a medium-sized screen, one can see a rather disorganized room, screen placed upon a shelf with books strewn all around it. There's a nervous-looking man, dressed well in a white button-up shirt and black dress pants, sitting in front of a similarly disorderly coffee table, staring at the screen in anticipation. His hand is visibly shaking as he holds a long, rectangular plastic device, one Homura would recognize as a remote. The man glances up at the sound of Owain's voice, glancing around the room ???: H... Hello? I... Is anyone there? Having found nothing in his room, the man instead focuses back on the static screen, gazing desperately into it, as though searching for something long lost, or fearing it.
Homura would smirk a bit, looking forward and avoiding showing Alto her face. A dead serious voice would emerge from her. "Yes, Alto-kun, the rare and deadly Twin Vipers... I believe we have been sent her to slay this mighty beast, careful not to fall prey to its horrid bites." Inside the girl can't help laughing a bit, outwardly, however she'd appear stone cold and as if she's preparing to fight some deadly monster in moments... Maybe not the best time for this, but really why not have a bit of fun with it? She'd then sigh and walk back to Owain, casually yanking the man past the clothes with surprising strength and then letting go of him to continue toward the glow. "Geez Owain-san, no need to worry about some clothing. It's not too hard to just brush past when you use a bit of force." She'd then sigh as the man calls out to them... This guy is who they need to speak with, isn't he? She'd cough to announce herself after stepping into the room. "Yes quite, you could say... Well, we're here for a reason of some sort and that's all I can really tell you. That being said, what's got you so scared of the TeleVision tonight? Or maybe not fear..." Homura walks a bit closer to it, to be exact she'd tap to the glass with a finger and see if it sinks through the screen as usual. Assuming so, she'd look over at him curiously "Is it something like this I wonder? That power to go into this other world... Something tells me you've got it too, nobody stares at a turned off TV like this without a reason."
(edited by Homura-Akemi)
Alto would nod with a deadly serious expression of his own. He'd peak into the room where the figure of the man would appear before him. In Alto's mind, the creature they'd be facing must take on a humanoid shape. This was his chance to strike before the monster has a chance to spot them. This was his instinct as a hunter and thus he must follow throw to eliminate their enemies. Alto would pull out his sword and begin to take a stance as the light red aura began leaking out from the orb attached to the blade's hilt. The aura would wrap around him for a moment. "Alright...I'm ready..." [Gale Slash] He'd slash the air creating what appears to be an X out of condensed air and then would begin trying to stab his blade through it. It would take a moment for the attack to be released.
The nervous man nearly jumps at Homura's voice, he was hoping to hear something, though not from his own apartment. He looks at Homura, eyes wide as she walks by him nervous man: W... We? How did you people get in..... He's cut off by Homura successfully pushing her hand into the television, the man blinks, before stepping closer, as though trying to convince himself its real Nervous man: S... So... I... I'm not crazy? It... It was real... The man sits down, shaking and putting his head between his legs, deep breaths as he tries to consider the situation Nervous man: S... So you know about the disappearances too? All those people that have been showing up there and... BAM... Next day they're gone..... I... No one showed up tonight, thankfully.
"No, you aren't crazy... People vanishing, it's worrisome, isn't it? Someone might have to do something about it, though I'm sorry to say I have work to deal with elsewhere. No-" She'd glance toward the hall for a moment, spotting Alto and cursing herself for that joke. Before the attack can fire off a blinding light would erupt around the girl, a shield taking shape on her arm as her clothing blurs into a black dress with a white and blue overcoat. The shield clicks and time grinds to a halt as the girl dashes in front of Alto and rubs the back of her head with a sheepish grin on her face. Finally, time resumes, from anyone else's view it be as if Homura simply changed clothing and then appeared in front of Alto. "Ah... Geez, I really should be more clear about these things, sorry I uh forget you're not quite used to this world sometimes... Hahaha, a TV is a box that displays images, in short, a Television is what it stands for... No monster though, I'm pretty sure." There's a blush on the girl's face as she speaks. She'd look down at her feet and rub the back of her head, feeling incredibly foolish for not having realized something like this could happen. Almost like telling a magical girl they're in a barrier or something in hindsight. At any rate, she'd walk back into the room and look at the man again. "Well then, that was exciting, wasn't it? But um that aside, yeah I think someone... No, I think you need to do something about it."
Alto being caught by surprise with Homura standing before him would quickly stop pushing his blade into the air causing it to simply burst in his face and knocking him back onto the ground. He'd lay there for a moment in shock and wondering what Homura had done. He would assume it was some kind of teleportation, similar to what Hilda can do. "Ow, my head...You shouldn't mess with a hunter, y'know. I've always been taught to try and gain the first hit in a fight..." He'd slowly try to get back up before analyzing the situation again.
"Fear not, my friend, for we mean you no harm!" Owain finally jumps out of the closet, posing with his right arm outstretched. "I am Eldigan, wielder of the- er, well, th-that's my name. But..." Owain looks over at Homura, her hand sticking inside the TV. "Er, Akemi, why exactly was your hand inside that... what did you say, Television? Is this some type of new power you wield?! Oh, you've gotta tell me how you're able to phase your hand through objects like that! It'd be so cool, reaching through walls and stuff! ... And, wait, weren't you... over there..? Hold on... I know that ability! I read about that one in a tome of knowledge I bought! It's called Instant Transmission, right?"
I've tried. The man puts his head down in frustration, breathing a loud sigh before turning the TV completely off and letting the room grow darker I tried to warn them, as soon as I saw the warning I tried. They just called me crazy. Can you believe that? Me? Crazy? Sure enough the man gives a somewhat unsettling laugh, only to look up and find Homura in a completely different location. Wait... How did.... I.. Am I dreaming? It... It is getting..... The man jumps back, bumping against his coffee table at "Eldigan"'s sudden appearance. The man nervously shakes "Eldigan"'s hand, grip extremely loose as he glances between "Eldigan", Homura and Alto. M... My name is Namatame, Taro Namatame. C... Can any of you tell me what's going on? Where did all you people come from? Why now? The man takes a deep breath, reaching around for some sort of can knocked beneath his table, in a few seconds, he would be able to find it and take a small drink
How to phase through objects, hah if only it worked on other things than a TV screen... And Instant Transmission? She's heard the name before she thinks, Dragon something or another? Hmm, she can't place the name but she's heard it before. "Okay lemme take it one at a time, first off no I can't go through walls. Only TV screens, and if I go through the whole thing it leads to another world entirely actually... Secondly, it's not teleporting in fact though I see why it gets mixed up, but rather stopping time. At any rate, we're not here to discuss my odd brands of magic." She'd then turn back to the man, a grimace crossing her face as she looks at him. "Tried huh... Well, if that doesn't work maybe more action needs to be taken? I've been in the whole saving people game a bit myself, and often you just have to go ahead and do something!" Oh right names, those exist don't they? She'd smile at the man and shrug. "I can't really say exactly what's going on, we aren't sure ourselves in fact... But I can tell you "why now", simply put it's because something important is going to happen here, and I'm pretty sure that it rests on you somehow! Come on Namatame-san, are you really just gonna sit around and give up?" She'd then glance towards the other two who'd come with her, curious if they've got anything to add and going quiet for a moment to allow them a chance to chime in.
Alto wouldn't be too clear on the details but it sounded like Namatame was going through a similar situation to himself at a time. Alto would step forward to join the two having recovered from his earlier fall. "Hey, look, I know it's easy to just give up when things are looking down and you don't know how to move forward. I've been there myself and at that time my friends and everyone around me were all looking at me for an answer. They wanted me to be their leader and I wasn't sure how to be their leader. I kept trying to delay my choice and act like the problem would just wait for me to come up with a solution. Everyone around me got sick of it and half of them wanted to confront the issue with force despite the futility of their solution. Others of my friends wanted to run away and really give up. They thought that'd be safer and they were probably right. Then there were a few who were like me. Those were the ones of my friends who I think had the most faith in me so they wanted to wait for my answer. During all this, the problem came right up to my doorstep and that's when I realized what my answer was. People really are weak but that's why we need to stand together when faced with despair. I came to the same resolve I always had, to be a hero and to help people. Saving people comes before everything else, right? Who will save them if you don't? Well, I mean, take that literally or as a figure of speech... Anyway, the point is as Homura said. You can't give up just because things are tough. Just follow what you really think is best for everyone and I'm sure you'll come to the right conclusion."
Owain gives Namatame a big grin, before backing away a little and putting his hand over his face. Heh, our origin story is of no concern, but know we come here to aid ones such as yourself, the cogs of life! Why, I've aided many people of this type from meeting an untimely demise, so fear not! For I- wait, you can stop time, Homura?! That's... that's even better!! Oh man, imagine all the amazing moves we could pull off with time stopping abilities! Owain's eyes now drift towards the ceiling, lost in thought, almost foaming at the mouth with his imagination running wild.
Namatame: Something... Important? I... This is a rather small town. I... Not much of anything ever happens here in Inaba. Namatame takes a deep breath. Truth is there is a murderer going around, however they do it... Twice is more than enough. Namatame looks up to face Alto's eyes.... He's... They're all rather young actually. Younger than he is anyways, by a long shot. Namatame:... Even if I tell anyone, they'll never believe me... Heh... Who cares if this is a dream anymore. Namatame sets down the can, taking, shaking a little less as he tries to stand Namatame: ... I... Anything is better than just standing by and letting them be killed, right? No one else knows about it... I.... Namatame smiles and waves at the three, confident they might vanish any moment. That is how dreams work, right? And surely enough, Alto, Owain, and Homura would begin to feel a tug. If they let it, the three would be led back to the white room, Constantium and Vicis watching through the fading doorway ahead of them. Whether or not they leave yet, they could hear Namatame, voice much less shaky than before Namatame: I'm sure I can think of something. If even one person is saved because of my efforts... Then just maybe that will be enough. I'm sure of it.
Homura's content to be pulled along, waving back at the man with a smile on her face and saying a few words. "I'm sure it's for the best... You'll help somebody!" With that, the girl would simply walk to the nearest wall and begin leaning back on it. Perfectly willing to leave seeing as their job is seemingly done with, though what exactly they've done she has a guess at. And while she is reasonably sure he will in a sense help, if the vaguely recalled news is correct it's... Not how he'd hope to help.
Alto would feel the tug and know his time here was running out. "Namatame, try to have some faith in yourself. You can't expect to save people if you can't even believe in yourself, can you? You still have plenty to fight for." With everything he felt needed to be said, said Alto would allow the tug to take him. He wasn't sure exactly what would happen but he knew that his job here was done.
Soon, the group finds themselves in the long white room, again, Constantium shaking her head while Vicis claps with an almost child-like glee Vicis: See, told you they could do it. This whole time thing isn't even that hard, is it? Constantium puts a hand on Vicis's shoulder, rolling her eyes in disappointment Constantium: He was supposed to call someone. Not a complete success, but at least we won't have to scrap this one. Unlike the last few Vicis: And still nothing on the cause? Constantium: If only. Whatever influence it may have had was small. Difficult to trace. Better luck next time I suppose. The pair don't seem to have noticed their guests return, focused as they are on whatever they might be peering into the gears for
Alto would look around once more. He wasn't sure what had just taken place but this time he felt it must have been teleportation of some kind. He would look towards the two women who were focused on the gear. "So...are we done or is there more? I'd be fine either way but giving out a speech like that takes up a lot of energy. As long as times needs mending it can't be helped though, right?"
The girl taps her foot, staring at the two in front of her with an impatient look on her face. "Um, hello there? Are we done here for now? I can't say anything about greater causes or anything, but uh I guess we got things sorted out enough?" She'd tilt her head at them curiously, influences are things she doesn't like. That word is annoying, like "Witch's Barrier" or "Soul Gem corruption" or "Out of Ammo", all words she's loath to utter. "I'm sure this unknown thingy is bad news and all, but like Alto said that did take a good deal of energy..."
The pair snaps out of their focus, Constantium jerking her head towards the group. Vicis takes this as her cue to approach them while Constantium maintains her focus Vicis: Oh, yes. Sorry about that. Just gotta put you back in the proper time and place and we'll be all set for now. I hope to snatch you with a little bit of a better timing for our next little reunion. Anyways, see you again soon darlings. Vicis smiles and bends over next to Homura Vicis: Oh, and good luck with your business venture. Honestly its probably the second-cutest thing you've done.
