Fightus Catus: No items. Persona only. Cat Paw Arena.
"Well he-llooo everyone! On the day of weed- yes, Yuri, that's what kids call it these days- we'll be doing the final match! After a review by qualified judges, Quintus moves on, and it's the finalists! Quintus vs Jiyu!" The fighting ring from round 1 is gone, replaced with a large, open dirt field.
Quintus would walk out onto the dirt field. His eyes were towards the ground as he stepped into the arena. He wasn't quite sure why he was here or how he got this far. It was almost a strange feeling having participated in this tournament and having gotten as far as he did. He wasn't even really sure if he wanted to win at this point but he also felt like he had gotten too far to not give it everything he had. He would finally reach his starting position on the field and look up and around himself. With one hand pointed out he would speak his Personas' name./i] "Yggdrasil Prime..." [i]Yggdrasil Prime's form would begin sprouting from the ground. It would rise up as golden leaves sprouted from its ashen branches. Quintus would take a moment to look at his Persona as if trying to calm his own nerves. "So, this is it...I guess that maybe I really have gotten stronger, I hope so at least. Well, one more fight so... I'll just have to take a large leap forward!"
Taking a deep breath in and then out, Jiyu enters the arena with his hands resting in his pockets. Taking a glance around at the flat dirt terrain, a small smirk appears across his face as if he likes the choice of the arena. And about his opponent, Quintus, he doesn't know that much about him other than him being another persona user, and that's about all. He should've watched one of his fights when he had the chance... Looking across the field at his opponent with his persona, an even confident smirk appears on his face before whipping out his flintlock revolver from his jacket, twirling it in his right hand. "Heheh, it's time to test my strength once again!"
Owain kicks back and relaxes in the stands, waiting for the match to begin. He drags his right hand over to his face, doing what he does best. "Jiyu, my former foe, I place my faith in you. You have the strength to pull through. Now..!" As Jiyu enters the arena, Owain leaps up from his seat, putting his left foot onto the back of the seat in front of him. "Show him your flames, Jiyu! Show him the strength you possess, hold nothing back! Unleash your energy for all of the world to see!"
"Good, the contestants are here. The rules for this match are..." Panthera Dox grins and leans back. "...You can only win by defeating your opponent, through a knockout or them conceding! No limits to arena size! No time limit! A no-holds-barred match! Begin!"
Quintus would smirk before facing his opponent. There was a slight gleam in his eye as he put the gray hood of his coat up and over his head. He would bring one hand up before snapping his fingers and speaking. "Yggdrasil Prime, it's time to begin! Earthly Roots!" All at once four roots would begin growing. Two would appear near Quintus circling him defensively while the other two remained underground as if preparing for something else. Quintus himself would begin focusing on bringing forth Hookworm. "Armed Mode: Hookworm!" The hooked blades would appear out of his hands attached to chains that seemed to be connected to his hands as well. Quintus would immediately send one of the blades out towards Jiyu in an attempt to strike him in the chest directly. If the blade were to hit it would actually phase straight through Jiyu. It would sap his energy without dealing any physical damage before recoiling back to Quintus.
Seeing that the match had finally begun, Jiyu would stop spinning his revolver and aim it directly at Quintus with his confident smirk still on his face. "Haha, let's get things star- Whoa!!" Immediately seeing Quintus's hookworm coming flying towards him, Jiyu would simply roll to the right to avoid the attack. Kneeling on the ground on his right knee, Jiyu would clasp his left hand in a fist. As he does so, a semi-transparent brown gloved left hand with a blue sleeve covering its forearm would phase right out of Jiyu's left arm and put it's hand fist as well. A moment later, a green light covers the blue-haired boy, increasing his max agility.
"Raising your agility? That won't really matter in a moment.." Quintus would simply stare forward as he draws back the hooked blade to his hand. He'd send the other one forward but this time arcing it to the left in order to create a large area for Jiyu to dodge. At the same time, one of the roots that were being kept underground would sprout from Jiyu's right and the other from directly behind him. The one from the right would simply attempt to latch onto him from the side in order to bind his movements while the one from behind would simply extend upwards and over in order to block off his possible routes in the air or backward.
Jiyu dodges Quintus's second blade with ease to avoid getting injured by it. As an instinct, he runs to the side, causing him to get blinded by the root. "Ugh, these things are really annoying..." Lifting his right arm into the air with his revolver still in his grasp, a transparent right arm that looked similar to the previous one, phases directly out of Jiyu's right arm with a green hilted orange glowing sword in its hand. The arm attempts to slice the root binding Jiyu with its orange blade, trying to free him.
The root would begin cracking and breaking with the swing of the blade like a crumbling statue. At this point, it would be weak enough for Jiyu to most likely break on his own with just a little force. Meanwhile, the other root behind Jiyu would now change its course of attack as well. It would attempt to wrap around Jiyu from above, aiming for his neck specifically. Quintus meanwhile, still standing by Yggdrasil Prime would retract the hooked blades back into his arms. Taking a breath he'd focus Yggdrasil Prime's power as golden leaves began to fall and circle around him. "Tears of the World Tree!" He'd press him arm forward towards Jiyu causing 6 leaves to surround themselves in a windy aura. The 6 leaves would fly at Jiyu like tiny blades of wind. Each would only deal a small amount of bladed damage but they'd all be aimed at his arms and legs.
Noticing that the root binding him is almost broken, he would push his way out of it will all of his force. But, right before he could make a run to a safe spot, the root coming from above began to bind around him. Anger filled the boy's eyes as the root started to reach for his neck. "Not today!!" Right before the root could touch Jiyu's neck, the transparent arm, which is still active, slices the root four times with its blade, attempting to slice it into pieces. Meanwhile, all of the leaves hit Jiyu in his arms and legs, causing him to groan a bit in pain.
The root previously binding Jiyu would finally fall apart with its pieces falling to the ground before being absorbed by the earth itself. The other root would be almost cut apart completely by the four individual slashes as the what remained of it retreated back underground. Quintus would almost look a little nervous with two of his roots already needing to recover. He'd bring his hooked blades back into his hands as he swung them from both sides in an arcing fashion towards Jiyu. One would come from the left and the other from the right. There wasn't much to the attack but he hoped it would serve to give him time to recover at least one of his roots.
While slowly trying to get used to the pain dealt by the leaf blades, Jiyu would notice both of Quin's blades coming straight towards him from both directions. What to do what to do... Simply rolling backwards would just get Quintus out of Jiyu's range, and just moving forward could get him caught in the chains. But he thought of a more safer direction he could go in, up. As the blades inch towards him, Jiyu gets in a jumping position just as the transparent sword wielding arm disappears. As he gets in his position, transparent legs wearing brown boots and while pants phase from out of Jiyu's legs, just like how it happened with his arms. At the last moment when the blades were almost right next to him, Jiyu would leap very high into the air, slowly approaching Quintus. To catch him off guard, Jiyu would aim his flintlock revolver at his opponent while still airborne, quickly firing three musket balls at him.
Quintus would watch as his opponent went airborne while retracting his blades. When Jiyu fired the musket balls at him one of the roots at Quintus' side would quickly move in front of him to try to block the shots. It would be successful in blocking 2 of them but one would still bounce of the edge of the root and scratch Quintus' face. The bullets that hit the root would simply seem to leave small holes in the root without doing any significant visible damage. "Hey, that's dangerous. What if I didn't have a way to block that? Anyway, you kinda ended up exactly where I wanted you...You know it's much harder to dodge in the air. Yggdrasil Prime, once more, Tears of the World Tree!" Six more leaves would fall from the trees surface and glide around Quintus. He'd swing his arm towards Jiyu's position in the air as the leaves once again covered themselves in a windy aura before flying at Jiyu. This time all 6 would focus in on his chest in order to try and knock him back with each strike.
"You're right, it is much harder to dodge in the air. But, you shouldn't really jump to conclusions like that, you know." Staring at the leaf blades coming flying towards him, another confident grin appears on Jiyu's face. The transparent legs, which are still phased with Jiyu's legs disappear, causing him to instantly fall to the ground, avoiding the leaf blades. As he hits the ground, the transparent legs would manifest themselves once again to break Jiyu's fall. Seeing that he's relatively close to his opponent, Jiyu would break for a mad dash towards him to get just a bit closer...
Quintus would seem to sigh as his hooked blades begin retracting back in his hands once more. His eyes would instantly light up with an ominous red light as Jiyu approached. "Resonance mode: Roots of Hell!" The ashen roots that remain surrounding him would begin to redden as eyes formed all around them. They would be beady like that of an insects eyes and almost resemble Hookworm in some way. A third root would appear next to Quintus as well having had time to recover from before. The two other roots would begin to move towards Jiyu in another attempt to bind him. They'd move with much more purpose than before as if the roots are now a separate entity from Quintus himself. The difference with their binding this time would be that as they ran across Jiyu's body tiny thorns would also appear. The thorns themselves would have the same properties as the hooked blades, not dealing direct damage but passing through both armor and skin in order to try and sap as much as Jiyu's energy as they could.
Jiyu glances at both roots making their way towards him with an irritated look on his face. He thought of some options he could use to avoid them. He could either jump into the air once again, but that would make his actions too predictable, or he could retreat, making him farther away from his opponent. But, he thought of another plan, a tactic that he used in his first fight in the tournament. For it to work, all he needed to do was get rid of all of those damn roots... "Let's hope this works..." Running to the right, directly towards the root, the brown gloved swordbearing right hand would manifest next to Jiyu's right hand, swinging the orange blade four times at it. Transferring his revolver from his right hand to his left, Jiyu would shoot three bullets at the other root that was previously heading towards him.
The root that suffered the strikes of the blade would try to resist the strikes with swift movements that the roots wouldn't have been capable of before. In the end 2 of the strikes still landed causing it to become cracked in some spots. Despite the damage, it suffered it would still attempt to go for Jiyu in order to sap his energy. As for the other root, the bullets would barely seem to cause any harm to it. All they would do is produce small holes in some places of the root that didn't seem to hinder its movements at all. It would continue its pursuit of Jiyu as well. Quintus meanwhile would seem to have a hard time focusing on anything but watching his opponent's movements. Yggdrasil began glowing with an eerie red as well as eyes began sprouting all over it. Another root would spring forth behind him equalling to two going after Jiyu and two more being left with Quintus. "Just a little longer now..."
As the root that Jiyu's persona's hand was still fighting inched towards him once again, the hand raised its sword high into the air, revealing more of its blue sleeved arm, sending a destructive beam that deals severe fire damage to it. After seeing that the root he was shooting at had literally absorbed his musket balls, Jiyu looked even more irritated, and not to mention that fact that he had to reload his revolver made him even more pissed. Taking a quick glance over to Quintus, not even noticing that the tree had grown eyes for some strange reason, but what he did notice that there was another root behind him. Jiyu was about to get angrier at the fact that his opponent had two more roots waiting for him, but he thought that it'd be best for him to shrug it off for now. "I gotta stop holding back for once. Nah, I'll stop later..." Jiyu would decide to not do anything for this time, except for using his persona to take care of the root that's closer to him and continue trying to avoid the root to his left.
Quintus would continue focusing as the roots he had already sent would continue to go after Jiyu. However, the root that had suffered from the concentrated fire damage would ignite almost immediately it fell into pieces that would sink back into the ground. For a moment a rush of pain went through Quintus transmitted directly from Hookworm but he tried his best to bear through it. The other root would still be trying to bind Jiyu the same way it had before. At this point, it would most likely be where he was since he had chosen to ignore it previously. A final root would appear behind Quintus making a sum total of three but they would quickly disappear underground all at once. Thorn suddenly covered Yggdrasil as the aura from before finally began to surge. Quintus would smirk with the completion of this process.
As Jiyu watched the root that was pursuing him bind around himself, he transferred his gun between his hands while groaning in pain again from all of the thorns. Looking over to Quintus once again, he would notice that Quintus's roots have disappeared. So this was his plan all along... All he tried to do was use those two roots to pursue him just to use that time to get more roots. Clever bastard... "Might as well try it to see if it works..." Manifesting its self again, the transparent hand would raise its hand into the air next to Jiyu's and fires another destructive beam in between Quintus and Jiyu, that spreads across the entire arena with its sword. Suddenly, flames from the line it made on the ground rise up blocking Quintus's view of Jiyu. While the flames are still active, the hand would fire another beam at the roots binding Jiyu, attempting to burn them.
The root would, in fact, burn away just like the one before with the ashes sinking into the ground. There would be a moment of silence with Quintus being unable to see Jiyu but then a sudden laugh would break out. It almost sounded sinister in a way. Finally, as the laughing subsided Quintus would shout through the flames. "I guess I really should tell you how this works right? I don't need to see you for this attack. It's enough that you're still standing on the ground. Hookworm is one with Yggdrasil right now meaning that as long as the roots can see you with their many eyes than so can he." Three roots at once would extend from beneath Jiyu. They'd form around him like a cell of sorts before rising high into the air to try and make sure he wouldn't be able to jump away from the attack. "Roots of Hell: Exsanguinate!" The roots would all at once begin pulsating and glowing red before massive thorns the size of daggers began stretching out from all over. These dagger-like thorns would have the same effects as the previous ones but much stronger than before. They'd attempt to absorb all of Jiyu's remaining energy to incapacitate them.
Jiyu winced in pain as the dagger-like thorns dug into his skin. He thought of giving up, since he was going to be weak if these thorns stay pierced in his skin for a while. He thought of increasing his power, somehow, even though didn't have any attack buff skills. If only he could... Wait a minute, that Rune of Strength that he got from that goddess, Morgana Le Fey! Didn't she say something about it being able to increase his power? Using what remains of his energy to reach for his right shoulder, Jiyu smirks. "Y-Yeah, keep saying what you w-wanna say.... Because in the n-next minute, all of those eyes are gonna b-be useless..." "R-Rune of Strength, activate!!!!" Squeezing his right shoulder, it glows a deep red which pulsates throughout Jiyu's entire body. It feels like he has been given an even stronger power which buffs his attacks. With Washington's orange glowing sword manifesting in Jiyu's right hand, Jiyu let's out a painful scream as he raises it in the air and swings it in a circle, attempting to destroy the three roots with his severe power.
The roots would be cracked and badly damaged by the sword swing as Hookworm's essence leaves them. They'd begin to solidify more so as the remains of the roots would fall on Jiyu like a mass of rubble. The remaining parts of the roots that reached the ground would simply be absorbed back into it like all the roots before. Resonance would begin to run out as Quintus began to calm down. Yggdrasil Prime would return to its normal state. Quintus would need a new plan and his next course of action was obvious. Jiyu would be distracted by the remaining rubble of the roots so Quintus would use a skill he had yet to apply to this match. "Resonance already took a bit of a toll on me, not nearly as much as when I first tried it but Hook is definitely gonna need a moment after that. I have to say, didn't expect anyone to power through like that but you're probably even worse off then I am right now. I'd even wager by quite a bit... Yggdrasil Prime, Life's bounty..." Yggdrasil would begin growing golden fruits near Quintus. He'd quickly pick on up and throw it through the fire separating him and Jiyu. He'd then quickly repeat this process with three or so more until Jiyu's side of the field would be littered with strange golden fruits that were quickly turning red. It would only take a moment for them to explode in a fiery burst that would both hurt Jiyu physically if they made contact and deal a minor fire damage.
Emerging from the rubble of the roots with his sword Jiyu would have a confident and pumped expression on his face. "That w-was awe- Shit..." Scanning the field covered by red fruits, Jiyu would shrug. The two transparent legs of Jiyu's persona appear once again as he stands up. He weakly leaps into the air heading towards the other side, but unfortunately, he gets hit by one of the explosions, making him unbalanced during his flight. Almost faceplanting on the other side of the firewall, Jiyu's persona, manifests from out of his for a split second to break his fall. He rolls on his back, looking up at the sky. "...What's n-next, birds ar-are gonna fly o-out of your tree and pe-peck me?"
"I would if I could have something like that happen. Sounds pretty fun if you ask me but I'll have to settle for more traditional attacks. Yggdrasil, Tears of the World Tree!' Leaves would fall from the tree and surround Quintus. He would wave his hand downwards in an arc this time as the leaves began to spin around faster and faster. The windy aura this time would spread between the leaves as they slowly but surely formed into a tornado. The tornado would move through the air locking onto Jiyu's position. The sheer force of the winds would be meant to try and toss him back up into the air against his will. If successful the wind would try to hold him in place as Quintus prepares for his next attack.
Looking over to the incoming tornado, Jiyu would roll his eyes. Still laying down on the ground, he pierces his transparent orange sword into the ground and holds onto it for dear life to prevent getting flung up into the air. He tries to scream over the loud sounds of the high winds to talk to Quintus. "You know, h-having a tree for a persona see-seems pretty damn c-cool in my opinion!" The lower half of his body starts the flow up into the air after a few seconds, but Jiyu still manages to hold on to his sword.
"Well, having a non-humanoid Persona is a bit weird. Took a long time to even control the roots as well as I can without Hookworms help." Quintus would try to bring out both of the hooked blades but only one extended from his right arm. Even the eyes of the hooked blade looked to be slightly fatigued. "Sorry about this, Hookworm. I promise I won't make you work this hard without providing proper supplement unless our lives really are in danger from now on. Just a little longer though, it's almost over." Quintus would then attempt to bring his roots back out but most of them still needed to time to reform. Only one root would frow out of the ground. The root would wrap around Quintus' arm before growing down the length of the chain attached to the blade. Quintus would throw the hooked blade at Jiyu while he was busy fighting off the winds. The root also would climb down the chain in order to keep the blade on course. If it hit Jiyu the hooked blade would pass through his skin before the root would wrap around both the blade and Jiyu in order to hold it in place to continue sapping energy.
Hearing the sounds of rattling chains approaching him, Jiyu would smirk with a small laugh. Making his blade disappear, he would start to ascend up the tornado, but before he got high enough, he would grab the chain part of Quintus's hookworm with a somewhat tight grip, making sure the blade part of the hookworm doesn't make contact with him. Just now noticing the approaching root, the brown gloved right arm would manifest itself next to Jiyu's right arm, shooting yet another beam at it. If it would disintegrate, Jiyu, along with the two transparent hands, would grab the chain with both of their hands and start to pull hard on it, attempting to pull Quintus into the tornado with him.
To Jiyu's surprise most likely even the chain of the weapon would pass right through his skin sucking up energy out of his hand as it passed through it. The root would, however, be burned right off the chain but rather than being burned completely the part of the root that remained would recoil back to Quintus. Next, Hookworm's blade would retract back as well leaving Jiyu with nowhere to run now that he's given himself to the wind. The leaves would continue to spin around the vortex to keep it going but their power would begin to dwindle, although not to a noticeable effect yet. Quintus would pull another golden fruit off the ground he hadn't used before and would have what's left of the root wrap around it before having the root extend out toward Jiyu. The root would continue extending until it reached Jiyu in order to try and wrap around his neck with the fruit still firmly within its grasp. "You're definitely resilient. If I hadn't been stealing your energy this whole time I might be worn out by now."
Right after Jiyu had layed his hands on the chain, he would immediately let go of it to prevent anymore of his remaining energy from getting taken away from him. After doing so, he would take a look around, seeing that he has no way to escape the tornado. Jiyu felt hopeless, he'd might as well quit here just to end this fight once and for all. But that all changed when he heard the sound of the root approaching, sprouting an idea in his head. Could the root hold his weight for just a few seconds? There's only one way to find out... As the root approached him, Jiyu would grab onto the root with his right hand and swing onto the it, squatting on it. A moment later, the brown booted transparent legs would manifest themselves near Jiyu's legs right before Jiyu attempted to leap into the air, trying to escape the tornado.
Jiyu may have tried to jump away but the root would still attempt to wrap around him even then. Since he even went as far as standing on the root it would try to once again attach itself to his legs and hand before slowly trying to crawl up to his neck. The golden fruit would still be firmly attached to the end of it as it did so. Quintus meanwhile, would begin focusing on the recovery of his other roots. He would put his focus only on keeping in mind where his opponent was and what they were doing but use all his energy to speed the process of his roots regeneration. The leaves that formed the vortex would finally begin to slow down as their energy diminished. The winds themselves would be noticeably slow and weaker. They'd still have enough momentum to keep Jiyu stuck in the air but they could no longer blow him around.
After attempting to leap into the air, Jiyu would feel like he's home free until he felt the roots trying to wrap around his legs. Looking down at the rising root, Jiyu would notice a golden glowing light coming from under the roots. Since he can't get a clear view of it, he summons his persona, Washington, which manifests right next to him, to get a look at it for him. Giving his orange glowing sword to Jiyu to fend off against the root, the persona floats down to where the golden gleam is coming from to see what's creating the light. Meanwhile, Jiyu would aim Washington's sword at the tip of the the root, shooting out yet another destructive beam at it.
Jiyu's Persona would see the truth of what was attaching itself to Jiyu now. It would be one of the golden fruits from earlier wrapped tightly on the end of the root which was now attempting to ensnare Jiyu. The fire beam would cause the root to ignite tip first including the fruit as well. It would begin glowing red as the fire activated the fruits latent effect. It wouldn't take long with the direct influence of the fire for it to burst in an onslaught of fire and force right next to Jiyu. Quintus meanwhile, would finish focusing his energy on the recovery of his roots. Two additional roots would grow out of the ground next to him as he brought out one of Hookworm's blades. This time Quintus would go for a simple horizontal swing that would arc from below. He'd aim the blade for Jiyu in hopes that either the blade or the fruit would distract him long enough for one of his attack to hit.
Taking a look at the golden object, Washington would start to question what the strange glowing object was to himself. Reaching towards the fruit with his left hand, taking a small chunk of the object out of it before inspecting the thing that he pulled out of it. The inside of the object sort of looked like the inside of a common fruit. Maybe he could use this to refresh his user. Looking back to the rest of the fruit, Washington's right eye would expand upon seeing the fruit change to a red color. He knew exactly what this was... In the middle of trying to squirm out of the roots, Jiyu would get blown into the air by the explosion, avoiding the hookworm attacks. "Shit!!" Meanwhile, Washington along with the chunk of the fruit would be nowhere to be seen in the tornado. Maybe he disappeared before the explosion could come in contact with him.
The root that was attached to Jiyu would be burned to cinders as the remains float back to the ground. The leaves creating the cyclone would finally drain away before disappearing into trails of golden ash that would float back into Yggdrasil Prime. Quintus would quickly retract Hooks blade as another root emerged from the ground making a total of three. One of the three would burrow back under the ground in preparation in case Jiyu still was keen on continuing. Quintus would begin focusing his energy towards restoring the root that had just been destroyed rather than acting yet. "Had enough yet? Or do I need to enact the next stage of my plan? We can keep going until I'm able to use resonance again and if we reach that point then I don't think I need to tell you that it'll be a lot of trouble for you."
Landing on the ground on one knee, Jiyu would uncontrollably pant as if he had run a literal marathon. His pants would change into small chuckles as he stood up straight. A familiar golden glow would emit from his left hand as he stared at Quintus. "I guess a-another few minutes wouldn't h-hurt..." Bringing his left hand up to his face, revealing the same chunk of fruit Washington pulled out of Quin's fruit, Jiyu would inspect it with a smirk on his face. After doing so, he would do what any ordinary person would do with a piece of fruit and eat it.
Quintus watching Jiyu do this would quickly cut Yggdrasil Prime's connection to the fruit causing its glow to fade away but not removing its golden color. What Jiyu would bite into would be a very normal if not delicious fruit piece that had absolutely no benefit to him whatsoever besides a high content of fiber and nutrients. "Another few minutes? I hope you weren't banking on using my own healing power to extend that time. Well, whatever happens next, I hope you're prepared." The earth beneath Jiyu would begin to shake as the root that had burrowed underground had been preparing something else beneath the ground. The other two roots would drill underground as well before appearing around5 feet away from Jiyu on each side. The ground beneath Jiyu would begin to crack before a large amount of dirt and rock would be sent flying around where Jiyu stood. A large pit around 10 feet in diameter would open up as the root from before could be seen emerging from the center to try and grab Jiyu by his foot before he could jump away. If it successfully caught him it would try to drag him down to the bottom of the pit.
Right before getting dragged to the bottom of the pit, Jiyu would put a finger up as if he was about to say something to Quin. At the bottom of the pit, he takes a small glance around, sighing and standing up. "D-Damn, I was gonna tell him that I wanted to quit..." Jiyu clears his throat, beginning to do some terrible acting just to get him out of the fight. Slowly grabbing his chest, he lets out a fake cough. "Oh no~, It looks like that Quintus g-guy got me! And my v-visions fading, oh no!~" With a smile, Jiyu "unconsciously" falls to the ground. "Bleh..."
Now that the narrator isn't sick as hell anymore... "There we have it! With Jiyu "defeated," Quintus is our winner!" The crowd cheers, and a half-wood, half-gold cat statue appears above Yuri, flying down towards Quintus as its previous host's eyes turn back to an icy blue. "As promised, your prize is me, the Guardian Spirit Panthera Dox. I suppose I count as half a fancy trophy, but either way, I'm proof of your victory." The cat-statue purrs, then flies into Quintus, disappearing into the depths of his soul. The arena begins to return to its state before the tournament, vanishing/sinking slowly enough to set everyone gently on the ground.
Quintus would somewhat shudder as the spirit flies into him. He's unsure exactly what that means exactly but a prize is a prize. "Uh, thanks. Not sure what all this means but glad I was able to win somehow." Quintus would quickly look at Yuri as well. He didn't know exactly what had happened to them but he thought he might as well see if they were ok. "So, is that guy going to be all right? Like, there aren't negative side effects of this, right?"
No problem~ It'll take a while to get used to me, but you should do fine. Yuri waves, shouting something over their shoulder before stalking off. I'll be fine. Good luck dealing with that furball. How rude... I tease her a little, and she's suddenly grumpy towards me~
