Just beat DRV3... spoilers
The entire game was really h*cking good, the class trials were fun, and the executions are good. But I want to complain about the ending... like seriously what the fuck is that ending? It’s really unsatisfying to see that they completely were like “Danganronpa 1 and 2 aren’t real you silly loser btw this person you know is completely turned upside down. It kinda just ruined the entire flow of the game during the class trial. I really enjoy Danganronpa, but this was just not enjoyable in my opinion. I know that the devs were tired of milking the series or so i’ve heard. But couldn’t they not of done a satisfying ending? If anyone else has played it, i would like to hear what you think. I may understand the reasoning why the ending is the way it is a little better if so.

The ending is up to interpretation tbh. This is what Kodaka said himself if Tsumugi is right or not. I first didn't like it as well but it grew on to me with time. I still don't like the fact that so many died, becase V3 had my fav cast, but I liked the ideas being the 53rd game a lot. So in my case I believe Tsumugi probably lied and just mimiced DR 1 and 2 just to have fun.

if you're upset about the ending, you might kinda wanna sorta play through the prologue again maybe!!

You either love it or you hate it. The way I see it, that was a big bang to go out with, so I'm not too fussed about it.

It’s really unsatisfying to see that they completely were like “Danganronpa 1 and 2 aren’t real you silly loser fucking what its just a part of v3s world building. like how hard is it to accept all that reveals is that its not set in the same universe. Like just cus futurama said the simpsons was a tv show doesnt mean that it makes the simpsons "less real" its just a part of the world that particular show is set.

I just feel like it’s really lazy world building to say the entire thing was a video game inside of a video game is all. Plus all the fourth wall stuff was not that interesting to me. But it’s just my opinion right after beating the game.

And i had to make a new post due to the editing error, sad it can't be fixed as of now. I finished the game too a bit ago and wow, out of all 3 in the main series this is the one i liked the most. As for what i think of the ending. Tsumugi was lying from the start about cospox, so that she could pull all that fictional character act at the end and ofc not be a suspect on Rantaro's trial. She said also that it was the power of her ultimate talent to manage to do that kind of cosplay. If anything never happened i don't think people with ultimate talents would exist in the first place. In the end before being killed by Keebo she even mentioned that she failed in her Copy. What would she copy? I think dr1 and dr2 happened for real and after the situation calmed down and the world returned back to normal, team danganrompa got ahold of the footage from both of them and presented the killing games as a TV show. It made a huge success with the public so much that they had to find a way to continue it and they did. It's impossible that people who were alive by the beginning of it still were by season 53 thus explaining why there are no remnants of despair/future foundation. This, atleast, is what i got from it.
