Akechi's talk show: short edition
A room with a few chairs and a stage was arranged for this special occasion, that's right Akechi would hold a public talk show and let anyone ask him certain questions. The host soon reached his spot and carried with him a small laptop which he connected to a giant TV right behind it. He soon started to speak looking at the audience Welcome everybody to the first edition of this show, to test grounds and kick it off this time we'll keep it nice and simple. Today our guest is gonna be the famous Detective Prince Goro Akechi which due to certain circumstances will join us from a safe location and will speak through this laptop, and now here we go! As soon as the Host turned on the pc Akechi's face would appear on the monitor with a calm smile, after a moment of silence he speaks up too Good evening, i guess i don't need introductions since our friend over there already told you my name, i wanted to make a brief public appearance and here i am, i tried my best to be here in person but i guess this will do for today ha ha. Don't worry if all goes smoothly i'll try to be present for real next time. With that said i want you to ask me some question, i guess 4 is the right number this time. It can be about anything you want to know from me, don't be shy i'll be waiting!
A black snek in a perfect sunglasses and trenchcoat disguise speaks up. Detective, what kinds of cases do you specialize in?
The Kushala appeared inside, how? Well, details... details... Do you like dragons?
*A boy with his eyes hidden under a hood speaks up.* DO you believe in the Phantom Thieves? Heh heh heh heh.
Akechi turns his face to the peculiar fellow who asked him the first question, the disguise (or perhaps the fact that he was on the other side of a computer screen) fooled him too so he didn't pay attention to the fact they were a snek. Oh, that's actually a nice question, i'll be happy to inform ypu about this matter. I direct my work on murder cases, most of which involved mental shutdowns and similar things. I also do take care of smaller cases on my own (disputes and such) or cooperate with the police for bigger operations, an example of this is the whole deal with the phantom thieves.
a dragon?!? Akechi was utterly suprised by it's appearance but he decide to answer to them nevertheless. Uhm, that's peculiar i do not hold any particular feelings for dragons, i'd say i'm neutral about them, i liked them more when i was little don't share that outside of this room if you can, i'll consider this classified info, alright? he winks before going over the next question, as soon as he hears that his face changes to a more irritate expression. I thought i made myself clear enough about which side i'm on. I do believe they exist and since they do i must give my fullest to put them in the place they belong to, jail.
A young man in a t-shirt and jeans wanders in, some detective eh? Well he might as well ask his own question... "So, how do you feel about superheroes? Guys like the Avengers and all that, kinda leaving normal law enforcement in the dust to hear some people talk. And since you work with the cops I'm curious to hear your thoughts on superpowered heroes and such."
At the last question, Akechi's eyes shine as he gets exicted Oh oh, that's actually a very good thing to ask, while i don't approve acts outside of the law, i think superheroes are actually cool, i always thought of myself as the hero of my story so at times i look up to them. But i'd probably arrest them if i were to catch them in the act, if i let them run free the credibility of our law system would be put in danger and have the general public believe more in them than us is not really the best solution. he pauses for a while, then he starts speaking one last time I'm going to give everyone my thanks for being here with me tonight, i hope everyone had fun while it lasted. I must go, i'll see you next time. Goodbye. As soon as he stopped the screen went to black and the host left his position too. This is the end of the first edition of the talk show.
Sae Niijima sees that Akechi is having a talk show. She is tempted to ask a question, but she knows that winning and succeeding in her tasks are far more important. She continues to research. She hears what some of the questions were, and Akechi's responses. "Maybe this will come I handy." But before she knows it, Akechi ends his show. "That was it? I expected you to do more, Goro." she said to herself. She opened a new tab to send an email to Akechi. She wanted to ask Akechi a question about this talk show, but she realized it would be better to just have a discussion about it in the nearest sushi restaurant. Her email read: Akechi, While researching for our current investigation, I heard that you were doing your first ever talk show. My curiosity got the better of me and I started listening to it. I didn't think you would use your time for this. Perhaps we can discuss this over sushi? Sae Niijima Tokyo City Prosecutor
Akechi wakes up and starts to check e-mails when he stumbles upon one sent by Sae, after reading it he responds to it. Dear Sae-san That's surely what you saw, i wanted to interact more with the public but yesterday my time was limited, hence why i appeared on a computer screen instead of being there. As for discussing further about this matter... my schedule is pretty packed for most of the day but i could free some time around the evening. Contact me again if that if this is alright for you. Goro Akechi Ace detective
The prosecutor wakes up to an email notification. She opens up her laptop to respond to Akechi: Akechi, I am glad you are using your time today for the investigation instead of your silly talk show. I will look forward to having sushi later today. I hope we can discuss our progress on finding the "phantom thieves" if they even exist. And please learn to capitalize your Is.
