Origins of Being: Part 2 - The Earth
Lately the amount of odd earthquakes would become quite frequent. There was a time when people feared it had something to do with the emergence of more statues like before as many had heard of the horrors of the small city nearby where the residents were all reduced to nothing but stone and the city itself was reduced to nothing but a crater. However, after time had passed there had been no other statues rising out of the ground while the earthquakes had only increased in frequency. So far, they had caused no damage to Tokyo itself as if the earth had remained still in the places where the buildings were most vulnerable. Another odd factor to these earthquakes was that some people had begun spreading a rumor that they could hear crying whenever they occurred. The crying was quiet at first in these reports and not many people stated they could hear it but now almost everyone said they could hear it and it grew almost as loud as the earthquakes themselves. Today was the first day in a week that there had been no earthquake. Things as one might expect would be oddly quiet as if the absence of the earthquake was almost more troubling to people than their presence. However, something else quite odd would be occurring at the bottom of one of the subway stations. The station itself had to be closed off today as no other trains could make it inside. Even the staff themselves had trouble accessing their place of work as thick vines and plants both local and exotic had begun covering the entrance to the subway.
Intrigued by the news of odd vegetation growing from the subway, Nacci decides to investigate. As she reaches the entrance, she attempts to make her way inside, snapping the vines from their place if need be. "An odd occurrence. Logically, someone must've seen these before they grew to this size, unless they grew overnight... It really is interesting, I suppose, no matter the circumstances."
A man in a red coat wanders the streets, sighing as he considers how to deal with these pain in the ass statues. He's heard all about what happened at that town after all, and these can't be anything good either... "So, with all this crap going on I guess there's nothing to do except look into it. Not as if I can just leave things be... Not right now." He'd glance toward a subway station, absently at first and beginning to walk past the thing as usual. Until he stops for a moment and sees the vines and plants covering it, wonderful. Something related the planet in some sense then? At any rate, he'd look around the area for any way past them. And failing finding one, he'd simply draw a longsword off his back and cause flames to ignite along the blade. Aiming to hack and burn through the things if he's unable to pass through without doing so. "Great, so either a gardener went insane or we're dealing with some kind of earth god or somesuch crap. He'd then glance toward the woman, huh. He's seen her before somewhere hasn't he? Maybe he's just going crazy. Either way, he'd nod toward her "Well it seems we're here for somewhat alike reasons, or so I'd assume anyway. Tatsuya Suou, investigator/hunter of all things mystical. You?"
Upon the first prod at the subway station odd violet fumes would seem to leak out. The fumes wouldn't burn like some kind of toxic gas and it wouldn't feel any different from normal air either. Mostly it just seemed to color the air with its violet hue. As the vines easily came apart the inside of the subway would seem to be full of the strange air. Along with more plants of varying color and size decorating the stairs down into the subway below.
As she pulls apart the vines in her path as she steps onto the stairs, Nacci turns her head back to look at Tatsuya. "Please, call me Feebo. My task is to protect the people living here until they can safely return home. That's... about all, I'm afraid. I wasn't made with much in mind beyond that, and..." She shakes her head dismissively at her final statement before going back to moving forward, bringing her hand up to one of the colorful plants. "Such vibrant flora... this is certainly not the work of nature itself if it's this deep, or at least unaffected nature. Not that it wasn't already a tad obvious."
*A kid with a hat on her head walks to the subway entrance in hopes she could find a Time Piece here and it might be the thing that must be helping what ever was going on here* *Hat Kid walks over to Tastsuya and Nacci since they were close to the entrance to the subway and maybe help them with what was happening. Hat Kid would wave to the two* "Hello"
Feebo, weird ass name that... Oh well, no sense worrying about that. Instead he'd simply keep moving forward and nod to her for a moment. "Fair enough then, strange name but I'm not one to call people out on being strange. At any rate, we should be careful in here..." Breathing this shit in seems like a bad plan, but he can't entirely avoid it sadly. Upon seeing the kid come in, he'd turn to her and sigh as he covers his mouth with his coat. "Hey there, and are you sure being here is a good idea? I may not look like much, but I somewhat know what I'm doing. You uh... You look a bit young to be risking your life, might want to head out of here." Regardless of that though, the man would keep walking forward and looking around. Blade held forward as he prepares for... Whatever the heck is down here.
*Hat Kid looks at Tatsuya in the eyes and sighs* "I've already risk my life a lot of times already. I know what im doing..." *Hat Kid said taking out her umbrella and walks into the subway* (Current badges equipped: Projectile Badge, Fast Hatter Badge, Hookshot Badge) (Current Hat equipped: Kid's Hat)
At the bottom of the stairs the normally cement floor would be coated with a thick grass. Many tall violet flowers would be sticking out of the ground randomly. A few odd grassy cocoons would also line the wall. They would be roughly the size of a human being. At the far end of the station would be a single subway train. It would stand oddly undamaged by the plant life if anything it seemed the plants had simply redecorated it. It was now painted green a violet and a tree could be seen growing on the top with its roots hanging off the sides. The strange part about the tree is it almost seemed shaped to be able to enter the tunnel. The tunnel would actually still seem open on one side, the side the train would most likely be heading. The fumes would only grow more powerful down here. The air almost smelled slightly sweet as well as if the fumes had added something to the air. The plant that Feebo reached down to touch almost seemed to move away at her touch as if it were aware of her presence.
Great, living plants and the air gets worse. The only way forward is the freaking train, and all there is to do is hope that his "team" can keep things in check. "Well, I guess we had better hope train service is closed tonight eh? I don't know about you two, but to me going the path of least resistance seems like a decent plan for now..." He'd do his best to simply ignore the fumes, for now, aiming to keep walking down the clear pathway forged by the train. In theory, it shouldn't be running, unless someone was crazy enough to come into work today despite this mess.
She stops her hand as the seemingly sentient plant moves. "What... is this? Could it be possible these plants have a functioning brain? Or... perhaps they simply have a sensory system, to ward off creatures unfamiliar with their functions..." After thinking on it for a moment, she decides to quickly reach for it and touch the plant to her open palm.
*Hat Kid used her "cape" to cover up her mouth and nose to not smell the fumes the plants were making* *Hat kid keeps on walking with her umbrella out and was ready incase they had to get into a fight* (When you see how many upvotes Tatsuya as when you find out his ALT is peter parker, the charter you wanted to rp with well... well today has bring a lot of surprises already)
Tatsuya and the Hat Kid wouldn't notice too much as they walked. For a moment, it seemed as if one of the strange pods on the wall twitched but it quickly ceased movement after shuffling for a moment. The door to the subway car seemed to open on their own as they approached as if expecting them to climb onboard. The fumes seemed to grow thicker as everything seemed to be shaded in a violet tint including their own bodies. Feebo would reach out and attempt to touch the plant further. Suddenly more flowers with violet petals would grow around her feet. They seemed to almost try and entangle themselves around her as they emitted a more condensed cloud of fumes. Her body would begin to be dyed a deep shade of violet as the flowers tried to entangle her.
*Hat Kid looked at the strange pods and notice how it would fit a human inside of it... Hat Kid starts to think that humans are inside of those pods but she shakes her head and looks at the subway car that open on its own as they got close to it, Hat Kid was scared but braves up, What does she have to be worried about well Hat Kid is worried that she might get captured in one of those pods and maybe die* *Hat Kid soon looks at Tatusya to see how he was holding up*
Unfazed by the fumes still, Nacci simply pulls her feet away from the flowers, the strength of her body easily able to tear them off. She sighs, looking down at her nice, clean black outfit and faux-skin being turned purple. "Lucky for these plants, I like the color purple... Ugh, I shouldn't have been wasting time with them in the first place." She turns away from the plants and begins to head towards Tatsuya, attempting to rub the purple off of herself.
The man himself simply shrugs it off, sure it's spooky. But he's seen worse before, even if there are people in them it's not all that new to him. Sadly. "Oi you alright kid, I realize not everyone is well adjusted to horrible awful looking things. But hey look at it this way, at least we haven't seen anything seriously trying to kill us. Yet." He'd look back Nacci, purple huh? It no doubt gets worse from here, but even so, he'd press on with the flaming blade pressed forward and burning brightly so as to see even the dark of the tunnels.
There would only be the train and the tunnel it was intended to go down remaining. Everyone could either board the subway car or walk down the tunnel regardless of the train if they felt like doing that for some reason. The fumes would still fill the air and only seem to stick to the skin of all in it more and more. The fumes would still seem harmless though as if they didn't have any effect aside from their odd coloration, like breathable pain spread in the air.
*Hat Kid looks at her clothes and notices her yellow "cape" and the yellow stripe on her hat had purple on them, not like it matter really since half of her clothes is purple* *Hat Kid held a tight grip on her umbrella as she followed Tastuya*
OOC: Greetings, do you mind if I join?
Nacci decides to poke her head inside the train, looking around the inside for anything of interest within the immediate area. "I hope everyone got out all right before the underground was closed off... That said, they didn't seem to be in too much danger, save for probably hating the color purple now..." She chooses to fully step inside the train, looking down the hallway to the rest of the cars, before moving towards the conductor's room, should nothing else intrigue her.
The man sighs and walks back, might be best to just take the stupid train... Even though he's fairly sure something will go wrong here aboard the damned thing. "Something tells me that train is important, so despite my misgivings, I'm getting on the thing... I hope I'm right about this being the best way forward." He'd walk into the train, eyes darting around as he steps forward. Tatsu would glance all around as he enters, checking not only the sides but even the ceiling and floor of the thing just in case. Of course, knowing his luck something will appear from nowhere.
OOC: I noticed it could be hard for thw Kushala to handle the subway, better I'll use this account if you don't mind. Magus was concerned about those earthquakes, he decided to take a look by himself on the subway, probably some kind of monster was the source of those earthquakes. During the walk, Magus noticed Tatsuya and Nacci and he jumped from the shadows to talk to them. Greetings, I hope you don't mind if I help you investigating.
Assuming everyone went aboard the train the door would begin to slowly close as if aware they had all come aboard. The fumes seemed to almost stay out of the train as if something was inhibiting them from entering. Everyone would notice that they were nearly completely covered in purple. A sudden oddity would occur though, the purple on their skin would begin to fade as it seeped into their skin. There would barely be a sensation attached to this as if maybe the strange substance wasn't physical in the first place. The train would shake a bit before it began to move. The interior of the train seemed to be pretty average for a subway car besides the lights being replaced with a small plant that hung from the ceiling. The end of the plant resembled a light bulb and would admit a small amount of light. The train would move forward through the tunnel on a normal path. Anyone who had been touched by the purple substance before would suddenly feel slightly light-headed but it wouldn't feel so much like the effects of a drug as much as it almost felt they were moving somewhere else, along with the rest of the train.
*Hat Kid would feel being slight light-headed but she would try to shake it off... hopeful this is not a sign of something bad* *Hat Kid soon looks at Magus and waves to him* "Hi"
Nacci's legs begin to waver, and she's forced to hold herself upright on the wall. "Urg, this is a new sensation... I've ridden trains before, but it never felt like this. Perhaps my sensors need to be re-calibrated or something of that sort... It has been a while, after all." She slowly turns around and slides down the wall, eventually able to sit down on the floor of the train with her back to the wall. Her eyes suddenly begin to flash before staying brighter than usual, flickering every so often as she works internally.
Magus remained calm, getting nervous was not going to help anyone, but he was concerned about what is this substance, he had a few hypothesis: A mind magic, maybe was related to those shadows stuff. also, it could be poison. When the train began to move Magus almost fell to the ground, but he managed to support himself on the wall and slowly recover. I don´t know what is this substance, but I recommend you to remain calm, getting nervous won´t help anyone. Magus went and remianed in one of the corners, he was looking everyone trying to discover what is this purple substance, he was feeling strange, it was starting to be hard for him to remain on his foot.
Sigh, no it's not a sensor issue. Not this time anyways. He'd lean back against a wall, hands in his pockets as he closes his eyes. "Doubtful at best, smart money says this is some kinda magical effect of these plants. Anyway, nothing to do but sit back and see what happens for now... Something tells me we're on a fast track straight to the source of this crap." He'd then speak toward Magus, not even bothering to open his eyes as he waves at the man. "And no sense worrying over that now, I don't know you in the least bit but I've never been one to turn down help. Just be careful and don't do anything too rash out here, I'd hate if things go badly because someone rushes ahead..."
The train would slowly seem to pick up speed. Faster and faster it would go down the tunnel. It seemed as if it was going to bring the group down to the next station. Suddenly it did something that a normal subway most likely would never do. Firstly though, everyone would further begin to feel the effects of the substance from before. It would start with their vision. The colors of everything around them began to become distorted and shift around. Even the walls of the tunnel began to distort and flash a variety of colors as the subways suddenly made a sharp left turn into what was supposed to be a wall. Instead, the wall that was once their would open up like a mouth made of stone. It would lead into a corridor covered in a fleshy green rock as if traveling down the throat of a mighty beast.
*Hat Kid soon fell down on the ground and looks around scared... not know what was going on*
Magus looked at Tatsuya, he looked away keeping his serious face. don´t worry about me, I´m always very careful. Magus looked now at Tatsuya and he began to explain him. I already thought on destroying that plants but it could be dangerous, because: A): the Enemy could get annoyed and attack us right now, we couldn´t be able to react in time and die, getting in the worst situation. B): Someone goes out and destroyes the plants but he is left behind, we don´t know what is out there, it could be a suicide, also, if later there are more plants we´ll be in the same stiuation as well. C): that person fails in destroying the plants and A or B happens anyways. D: the ceilling falls over us. I don´t really have to tell you this, but we are together on this, aren´t we? is better if I show you what I´m not a newby on this kind of things. Magus had a hard time trying to not fall to the ground as the train got speed, a bit later his vision got distorted, but Magus remained calm as well, just a little vision distorsion was something he expected. When the went inside the mouth Magus began to think, probably the whole subway turned into a gigant beast, and now they are inside him. They are on a vulnerable situation now, but if they are really inside this beast they could try to find a weak spot and attack from there. For now, Magus will wait to see what happens
Hmm? Burning them is pretty stupid yes... Still, Tatsu would crack a bit of a smile. "Yeah, the thought had already crossed my mind as well. As much as I love fire, I can't exactly say that randomly burning things down is my style." At least this guy has a clue though, and the robot seems to as well... The kid concerns him, but nothing to be done for it. Of course, there's also that swirling in his eyes to consider. But there's a reason he's got them closed, he'd still wobble a bit as the thing picks up speed, and he'd open his eyes again right as they reach the weird green... Stuff. "Great, belly of the beast perhaps? I can't say I expected that to happen but well better focus right."
OOC: Seeing as it seems a few wish to sleep at this hour I will be postponing this until either Monday or possibly Sunday if things look clear.
could I join?
OOC: I'd continue this tonight but it seems as though the site is somewhat busy with other RP threads so I might try to do this tomorrow instead.
OOC: Bumping to see if anyone could be here right now.
OOC: I can do it, not sure if anyone else can though.
(Boop)
Ooc: I could show up.
(When you came and said that star, i said "Do it" in emperor palpatine's voice)
OOC: I think forgetmenot and Magnus are absent at the moment. I'd rather not resume without at least one of them.
OOC: Aye, sounds fair to me.
OOC: i'll be a bit busy today and tomorrow, but I can show up on saturday.
OOC: Mind if I try to show up?
OOC: Time to check who's here again.
Why is it that both active threads I'm in involve trains..?
boop
I can still show up.
OOC: I'm still here
OOC: I exist
OOC: I should say that my limit for GMing is around 4 people so. Since we already have 4 I'd rather not go adding more, that is if Magus shows up today that is.
She sighs as she eventually picks herself up, now noticing the odd colors and distortion. She simply shakes her head. "My sensors are correct, but not correct at the same time... This can't be anything but trouble." She barely even acknowledges the area they've now entered. The green flesh-like walls didn't even faze her; the whole thing just felt like a bad dream at this point.
The sound of liquid dripping began to echo throughout the cavern as the train seemed to speed up. If anyone were to look outside they might notice that the train was no longer running on the ground but rather on a thin vine that seemed to make up a makeshift track. Suddenly, a light buzzing could be heard, followed by another and more to follow. It sounded like multiple buzzes were getting closer and closer despite the speed the train would be moving at. The colors in everyone vision would return to normal but soon the world would begin to blur ever so slightly. The blur wouldn't be so bad that they couldn't make the world out but they'd begin sometimes seeing double of objects around them.
*Hat Kid soon pushes herself up, and looks around. Hat Kid uses the walls to keep herself up and uses the other hand to cover her ear from the buzzing*
Even when the colors returned to normal, the blurring began. Nacci tried her best to really ignore the effects around her, still not even looking out the window. "It's just some magic, or other thing causing the issue, don't look at it... Calm down..." She takes a few deep breaths, closing her eyes to ignore the weird world around her, but grinds her teeth once the buzzing began. It's too much...
OOC: Greetings, can I still join today or the thread is full?
OOC: Been waiting for you actually. Go ahead and rejoin.
The vision returned to normal, this place was getting creppiwr per moments, whatever was there has built an strange home. I'm concerned about the buzzes... Be prepared for anything, we don't know what can we find here. Magus took out his scythe to be prepared for a possible fight.
Tatsuya takes a deep breath, closing his eyes once again and opening his lighter. He'd hold his hand in the flames "Gah... There's something going on here, but who knows what we're dealing with. Who knows, maybe violence won't be needed here?" He has a hard time buying his own words, but it's best to consider more than one option nonetheless. Rushing ahead to attack has caused him grief before after all. "Anyway, just be careful with this crap alright? I don't want anybody getting hurt in ways that could have been easily avoided. Like touching random crap for example."
The buzzing would grow louder as suddenly the train began shaking as if it was just hit. A door located near the back would seem to be forced open by the sudden shaking. The buzzing would grow louder as if it was right outside now. The blurred vision would begin to go down for a moment as if starting to clear away The train would almost seem to slow down for a moment now as the dripping could now be heard on the roof along with a light sizzling.
*Hat Kid looks at the back of the train seeing the door was opened, Hat Kid soon look at the roof and hear dripping of roof and the sizzling, Hat Kid started getting worried, soon she had the time stop hat on just in case* "Oh no"
Magus looked at Tatsuya, for a moment he thought Tatsuya was exagerating, but is true he knows someone who acts very risky and then he understood why he said that. I understand Tatsuya, I´m not going to jump to my own dead, expecially because I have my reasons to keep living, also as I´ve said before there is a chance for me to fail, and that could drag you to the death, I´m not going to allow that. Magus turned to the opened door, there was something outside and it was right there, prepared to jump at any moment, Magus held his scythe with his right hand while looking at the opened door.
Nacci jolts as the back door being broken open. At the very least, it was something to distract her from everything else, even if it was going away finally. "It seems we have company. Preparing to engage." She begins to head over to the rear door, and should nothing come through, she'd poke her head out along with an arm, ready to shoot should anything show up.
The man nods at Magus for a moment, he'd reach up to his blade with a tired look on his face. "Aye, I hate to state the obvious and all... But well, you know how these things go sometimes I'm sure." He'd then glance up at the roof, eyes curious as he scans the area for anything. Namely, he'd look for the source of that dripping. Given the sizzle... Well, it seems liable something is burning a hole through the roof. "And please keep in mind, the roof may or may not hold out much longer. So I'd expect foes from two directions if we're being attacked at the moment, at a minimum."
Outside of the newly open door would be a strange balcony of sorts on the back of the train. It looked as though it was newly added on as it was made of wood with rails made out of hardened vines. The train would begin gaining in speed once again causing the sizzling to seem to calm down. There'd be a moment in which everyone vision seemed to shift once more in some odd way before it seemed to almost completely return to normal. For those who looked outside, they'd see nothing at first, only hearing a loud buzzing. Suddenly, an odd creature made out of what appeared to be a black fluid would dart into view. Odd needle-like protrusion would seem to pop up out of its body as eyes seemed to form onto four corners of its body. It would let out a hissing noise as it began to charge, however, it wouldn't be aiming for anyone in the group but rather the train itself.
*Hat Kid looks back outside soon seeing the odd creature was charging at the train. Hat Kid soon stops time, she soon jumps out of the back of the train and wacks the creature a few times before driving back into the train as time comes back* (za warudo, sorry I had to say that and post this youtube link) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ePWNmLP0Z0
Magus prepared his scythe as he begins to casts an ice spell. That thing is not aiming for us, he wants to take this train down, we can´t let him do that or we are done for. Magus began to move his arms in order to prepare the spell. Outside the train a few ice spikes appeared and they aimed to the strange creature. Let´s see if you can still fly with this ice in your body. Magus extended his arm forwards and the ice spikes flew directily to the creature, When the ice was getting closer to the creature Magus snapped his fingers and each ice spike got divided into smaller sharp fragments, it created a little storm of ice fragments.
Grabbing onto the edge of the roof, Nacci flips herself up atop the train, luckily before it began gaining speed. Quickly lowering her stance, she digs into the roof with her hands as much as she can. However, the vision shift almost manages to make her lose her balance. "Urg, this is not a good day... Let's get this over with." Seeing the black creature, she begins to follow its movements with her eyes as she starts to stand up on top of the train. As she sees it beginning to charge, she fires out 2 bullets at it per hand, trying to prevent it from harming the train.[/i]
"Behold, one of my many selves." Black energy bursts out around the man, a towering demon lord taking shape outside of the train... Hmm, something's odd here too. That shift seems strange, and almost as if there's more to this foe than meets the eye. "I wonder..." Lucifer would rush forward, aiming to grab hold of the beast in front of it and simply hold the thing back from the train. Not even bothering to dodge any attacks that might hit, save for trying to place the creature in their path as best it can. "No sense wondering too much, not right now."
The strange creature would be no match for the flurry of icicles which would all hit its mark as it suddenly felt somewhat disoriented as if it has been hit on the head multiple times. The bullets next that would come from Nacci would cause the ice in its body to shatter further before splitting the creature into pieces. Oddly enough, despite its fluid like appearance, the segments of its body would simply tear apart revealing green blood within it. It would fall to the cave's floor before Lucifer even had a chance to grab it. More buzzing would occur as it slowly god louder before more of the creatures showed up. One to the left, one to the right, and one down the middle. For a moment everyone's vision would shift again as the creatures almost seemed to change in shape and appearance before suddenly the black fluid would turn red and they'd reform to resemble large red eyes with gazing green iris'. The eyes would look around wildly before large stinger-like spikes came from the center of their pupils. They'd begin charging forward before each going their own way. The left eye would attempt to move to the left side of the train before ramming into the side. The one in the middle would stay its course, attempting to strike at the back of the train. The right one would actually move ahead of the train and simply wait for the train to ram into its stinger.
*Hat Kid looks at the monster or now monsters, she soon took out her camera and takes a picture of the monsters, she wanted to make sure what she was seeing was the real thing or illusions that the buzzing noise was making* *Hat Kid soon sat down in the middle of the train and takes a deep breath and relaxes to hopeful use this to not hear the buzzing noise*
Magus moved again his arms, this time he began to draw a red magic circle with flames at his center, Magus picked up his scythe and slashed the magic circle to cover his scythe with flames. I´ll be back in one minute, don´t worry about me I´ll be careful. The vision shift was starting to annoy him, but luckily he recovered quckly. When he recovered, Magus jumped to the train´s ceiling but disappeared in the shadows, reappearing in the top of the train, Magus slowly moved to the back of the train with his scythe prepared to unleash a powerfull fire slash. If you play with fire, you end burned! When the creature got closer Magus slashed him with an horizontal fire slash in order to cut the creature into two pieces.
Something is very wrong here, and these things shifting around... Lucifer moves forward, flying over in front of the beast ahead of the train. It would simply place itself between the train and the thing, aiming to block rather than attack. "These don't feel real, maybe I'm just being foolish... But I kinda feel like fighting these things isn't quite the idea here." Flick, the sound of his lighter echoes through the train as Tatsuya stares into the flames. He'd focus upon the shimmer shapes of the fire, shifting around... Almost like their foes, and something tells him there's more here than a simple fight. Even so, doing nothing seems a quick way to die, so, for now, he'll defend and try to get a clearer idea of their nature.
OOC: Time to kill Nacci for not posting.
The image the Hat Kid took with the camera would turn out somewhat blurry but they could make out an almost insectoid figure. The photograph would however still be hard for them to perceive, the colors of it being warped and twisted. The creature aiming for the back of the train would be severed in two almost immediately as sections of its body seemed to burn away at random. The creature at the front of the train would be blocked off by Lucifer but rather than stopping its assault completely it would charge Lucifer. It almost seemed to move more slowly as it approached with its needle facing forward. It would slowly move towards Lucifer while threatening the Persona with its stinger.
*Hat Kid soon some to time look figure out what the picture and believes they are facing some kind of insectoid figure. Hat Kid soon walks to Magus* "Mr. I believe these creatures are not the true threat we are currently fighting! I believe were fighting some kinda of insectoid figure but i'm not for sure" *Hat Kid gives the picture to Magus before her hat changes into the Dweller's Mask, and looks around if she could see the insectoid figure, to see where this invisible insectoid figure is*
Tatsu would focus for a moment, viewing through the eyes of Lucifer and smirking to himself... It doesn't want to get in close, and he's about to find out why. "Charge." The Persona rushes forward, aiming to grab hold of the thing's stinger with one hand and hopefully keep it pointed away from itself. Assuming it's able to, Lucifer would then aim to get in close and examine the thing curiously, searching it for anything out of place. "I just wonder, why are you so adverse to getting in close? Well, we're about to find out now..."
With the creature dead Magus, focused his attention on the creature at the front, Lucifer was able to stop that thing, but just in case Magus went to the front. Are you holding him? What are you thinking? Hmm... Magus returned to the spot he came and he disappeared in the shadows, appearing inside the train again. He walked towards Tatsuya while keeping an eye on the creature and Lucifer.
Hat kid would see nothing around them being inside the train still. There would be nothing of interest besides what's previously been described inside the train. Lucifer would be able to grab onto the strange creature, its fingers somehow sinking into the eyeballs body and grasping onto something else entirely. Whatever that something was it would cause the eyeball-like creature form to become slightly melted as it almost seems to readjust the position of the stinger as to sting Lucifer. However, once again the stinger would nearly approach Lucifer's hand and then stop just before making contact, as if hesitant to do so. Suddenly, another crash could be felt causing the train to once again slow down and the sizzling on the roof to pick back up once again. Small hols would begin to form in the roof as the strange acidic liquid would dribble in, in places.
As acid crashes into the roof, Nacci's suddenly drenched in it from being on top of the train still. Oddly, the acid seemed to be unable to get through her false skin and clothing, although her open palm barrels would begin to be eaten away should any get inside. Either way, Nacci focuses for a moment before her hair and eyes burst into a dull green. She points her left palm below herself, a small ball of wind forming. "This train is the only thing keeping us from our demise... Storm Burst!" With a pulse of her fingers outwards, the ball of wind collides with the roof of the train, then bursts outwards in an attempt to blow the acid off from the roof and herself.
*Hat Kid would stay away from the holes, Hat Kid would open up her umbrella and uses it to defend herself from the acid or the monsters*
Magus prepared a dark magic circle under him, while he moved his arms in order to prepare the magic. I don't know what is the purpose of this creatures, but they are starting to be a pain. Magus activated the magic circle and it began to unleash a powerfull black wind to attack the creatures in the roof and take the acid away.
The man smirks as his Persona rushes forward, a handful of darkness bursting from the Boeing's hand and aiming to grab onto its foe's stinger. "Come on, don't be so shy. I just want to get a closer look... Don't let it escape Lucifer." Another bit of darkness from his other hand, rushing around behind the thing and attempting to put a walk at the foe's back. Hopefully it'll stop any retreat attempts.
The acid would be cleared from the top of the roof for a moment by both Naci and Magnus' attempts to blow it away. However, as it turned out, there was nothing on the roof itself attacking the train. The train would almost seem to once again speed up but with another shake that rattles the whole foundation of it, it would begin slowing once more. As it turns out, the creature attacking the train would have been the one who aimed for the side of it. It would remain latched onto the side of the train outside of anyone's knowledge, repeatedly ramming its stinger into the train's wheels to great effect. The train, now slower than before, would begin once again being coated in acid that would begin eating away at its walls as well as the roof. Even and odd screeching could be heard over where the controls for the train would be as a sign that something was beginning to go wrong. Lucifer now coating the creature in shadows would finally begin to have a clear image of the creature's exact shape. It was clearly a large insect resembling a wasp of sorts. Despite it retraining the creature further, it made no more attempts to resist.
is it possible that I can join?
Hmm? Now what to do with it... Things do seem to have a solid form, and they can't exactly be left to simply destroy the damn train now, can they? Tatsuya sighs and commands his Persona to finish off the beast in its grasp, a spear of darkness rushing from the restraints. With that, Lucifer would dart off for the one attacking the wheels and aim to ram his claws into it. "Whelp, guess someone should go see if anything can be done with those controls... I'm pretty good with machines, so here's hoping this thing is anything like an actual train and not just some mystical BS!" There's a false cheer in his tone and look as he walks off to the control room, aiming to examine it closely and attempt to discover what exactly the issue is... Beyond the many and obvious ones involving acid that is, those require no such exam to figure out, yet he can't help wondering if there's something worse going on as well.
Magus prepared a blue magic circle, this time he was not going to use his scythe to cast it. In that case I'll try to hold this, I can give you a bit of time, but better hurry up before the train collapses. Magus used the magic circle to freeze the damaged walls and roof, this will be enough to keep the acid away for a minute or two. Just in case, Magus prepared another magic circle in case the ice melts.
With nothing above the train, but it still slowing down, Nacci quickly looks around before looking over the edge, seeing the creature ramming the wheels. "How many are there..." She watches as Lucifer heads over to it, and decides to join in. "Tatsuya, tell your Persona to catch!" Gripping into the edge of the roof, Nacci throws herself down off the side beside the creature and aims a swinging kick at it to try and launch it towards Lucifer.
*Hat Kid just had no idea on what to do*
Considering that said Persona was already in the middle of something, and said user was rather focused on attempting to figure out what exactly they're dealing with here. It'd be slightly an issue trying to react to something at the moment, in fact, such an issue that Lucifer would have no time to do so at all.
The creature Lucifer crushed would break easily with a crunching noise as greenish blood seemed to seep from it. The acid would already begin trying to eat through the ice but the water that would form as it did would seem to weaken it slightly, causing it to slow in eating the metal as well as it became diluted. Nacci would manage to successfully land a kick on the creature tearing it from the side of the train as it flew at Lucifer. However, since Lucifer wasn't prepared for such a thing and Tatsuya was distracted the bug would simply be launched directly at Lucifer at a high speed. Tatsuya would see many buttons and dials that had begun melting to the metal exterior of the control panel. None of them would be anywhere near legible in both purpose and design. Only one button, for the most part, would still be in condition to be pressed but where there would normally be a label for it was a pile of mush. The button would be bright and red and shiny almost as if asking to be pushed.
