The girl's eyes suddenly burn, a flame inside them despite any sadness she might feel for what happened to the zookeeper who didn't do a damn thing to harm that boy and got killed in return.
"No, you're wrong about that. What happened to you was horrible, maybe it even should be unforgivable. But I refuse to believe that he's truly beyond redeeming, not because of some misplaced faith in noble ideals about humans..."
She'd laugh again, no it'd be too naive even for her to say everyone can be saved. But, there's one thing about this whole speech that to Homura, defeats the whole point of what's being said.
"If he can feel guilty about it then he can want to change. I'm not sure if it'll work or not, but he's alive. I'm not dying, I'm not letting Kalib die, and I'm not letting Russel die either. Say what you will, but I'm not giving up. And thank you for telling me what I needed to know, Tabasa."
With that, the girl simply turns around and walks away from Tabasa. Heading over to Russel's house with a look of grim determination on her face, even if that guy's killed people, it's not as if this would be the first time Homura tried to help a killer... Even if the other wasn't so direct in her methods of causing death.
