Phansona 6-Hacker Side: A New Reality
OOC: FIrst of, for anyone just hearing about this now. This won't be an open thread as this has been being planned out for a while and everyone who's wanted to participate has already gotten a spot for the most part. The day was bright and sunny as if ushering in a new school year in the moderately sized town of Sakado. Specifically, Sefer Highschool would have already been in session for a short time. Class would've just ended for the day but people would still be roaming around the school with club activities starting already. However, not everyone would simply remain after school for clubs. Some would have been called after class by their teacher for any trouble they had caused as of late. Regardless of their reasons for staying after not many clubs were left open either. There was only one club that was still completely empty. For whatever reason, the VR club was one that most students seemed to avoid. Apparently, the one who ran the club was a volunteer who wasn't much older than a high school student. Not many had really seen them outside of the club room they were assigned or even around the town but there were several odd rumours that had spread around.
A student at the school with black hair and a plain student uniform, consisting of a blouse and skirt with a small necklace made of red beads with a cross in the middle around her neck. They had heard about this VR Club, from the rumors they had heard while in class. Thinking something had to be up, they walk up to the room where the club is supposed to be. Knocking on the door before entering and looking around before speaking. Hello? Is this the... VR Club..?
A young man with short black hair would run down the fairly empty hall. Most of the clubs were already in session, and just his luck he missed out on all the cool ones. This student, Hitsuke would scratch the back of his head with a sigh as he approaches the door "ugh... Looks like its this or Shogi.... Dammit..." Hitsuke would notice the other student standing in front of the door. The kid puts on a smile and waves energetically "So you're looking into this Virtual Reality stuff too? Awesome, name's Hitsuke Akamine, pleasure to meet you."
A student left in his class stood up after packing up for the day. He had black hair, golden eyes and a top hat, despite wearing the normal male uniform. He would walk over to the board in his class to make sure he would get the room number right, after cleaning up the class. The VR club, might be what he was looking for as he has build computers in the past and being surround by fellow technological brethren. At least in theory. He made his way to the VR club.
The student is surprised to see another person interested in this VR as well, turning around with a little shock before nodding and bowing a little Ah.. Yes. It's nice to meet you as well. My name is Yasogi Tomo. I'm just here to look into the rumors. That's all. What's virtual reality though..? I don't exactly know what that is.
Hearing about the VR Club himself, a shorter boy would pop his head in the door after the others had already arrived. His lighter, shaggy hair almost covered his eyes, but a blank stare would be visible coming from him to the others inside. "VR Club, right? Got it. Coming in. Sorry I'm late."
Akamine shrugs his shoulders, slowly shaking his head with his eyes closed and towards the floor "You've seriously never heard of VR? Its the hip new thing all the gaming companies are working on. Its kinda like a 3D movie, but apply it to everything around you. Its basically a whole new world of entertainment... At least that's what the ads say."
The door would've been open already as if the one heading the club didn't even bother locking it. Inside it would be oddly dark compared to normal classrooms with each of the windows being covered with tape and large pieces of paper. The lights in the room would be off as well with the switch being on the side of the wall. In the corner of the room where a teacher would normally sit would be a slightly older looking boy with a large pair of headphones on and a blank stare as they focused intently on a screen in front of them. The floor around the desk specifically would be messily surrounded by wires that seemed to power multiple strange devices around the boy's computer. Over on top of one of the desks was a shiny silver briefcase that seemed to already be open slightly. It seemed as though the boy hadn't even noticed anyone enter the room with how concentrated he was on typing.
Bonjour? I'm here for the VR club. If that's fine that is. He took a look around the room and some people there. Hello. My name is Jihi Sukurappu. Pleasure to meet you all. He pointed at the "leader" Ummm... Is it always like this?
No.. I don't pay much attention to the news. I just focus on my studies. It definitely sounds unique though... If not slightly unsettling. With the room open she looks around, slightly disturbed by the windows taped up and the lack of light. Moving to the switch, they flick it on, looking to see if the boy noticed, if not they walk over and tap them on the shoulder to get their attention. Hello..? Are you leader of the VR Club? I wanted to ask some questions. Turning to the other student that just entered, they shrug before responding. I'm not sure myself.. I think everyone here is new to the club at least.
Since everyone else is already asking the kid at the desk, it seemed kinda unneeded for Akamine to do the same. So instead, he leans casually against the wall, letting out a bit of a sigh. "Man, talk about out of touch. Guess you're one of those cram students then? Seems like overkill to me but we'll see how that works out when we get our first tests back I guess." That said, Akamine looks back over to Jihi, waving casually at the other kid, as though nothing could possibly bother him "Good to see ya too Saku... Sukup.. Supuk... You know what, I'm just gonna call ya Ji if that's alright. Rolls off the tongue better."
Thank you, and sorry for assuming. He turned to Akamine. Of course, what ever works the best for everyone He laugh a little. Might I ask for your name's?
Cram student? Hmm.. I suppose you could say that. To be exact, it's a bible study. Not very useful for school. But nice to have for my church. It takes a lot of my free time. But I don't mind. Yasogi then turns their attention to Jihi and realizes her mistake, quickly responding to remedy it Ah. Apologizes, my name is Yasogi Tomo. It's nice to meet you.
The boy's eyes get agitated by the light but his attention doesn't immediately get pulled away from his work. In the end, it would be everyone's talking that caused him to close his computer and take off his headphones before getting up. With his headphones off his ash coloured hair could be seen clearly along with his overly focused seeming eyes. "So loud today... What are you all doing here? This is the VR club, y'know? Don't you people listen to rumours? Like the one that says I'm actually an alien android bent on world domination, or maybe the one about me being a government agent sent to arrest the creepy biology teacher down the hall, or my favourite one about me actually being a serial killer who targets high school students. People certainly are creative, regardless, what are you all doing here? I already had to deal with some weird kids before asking around about rumours. Wait, don't tell me you want to join the club?"
"Bible?" Akamine raises an eyebrow looking back at Yasogi with a sigh "Isn't that that weird book about the dead guy? I don't really know the specifics too much. Any..." Akamine is interrupted by the boy at the computer, Akamine lets the other kid finish before smiling back at him and announcing to everyone "My name's Histuke Akamine, nice to see you all here. I actually was interested in joining the club, VR is kinda a big deal nowadays and besides, rumors aside its gotta be better than Shogi right?" Akamine scratches the back of his head, his smile turning down for a moment as he looks at the other kid out the corner of his eye "though uh... If you really ARE an alien would you mind making sure to probe someone else? I don't really think you'd get anything from me in particular"
Actually, I would like to join if at all possible. I'm Jihi Sukurappu , but everyone here calls me Ji. He bowed out of respect for him. I heard a lot about this, and it still a great place to build. Specially machine. They are my specialty.
Yasogi smiles at Akami before continuing, it's nice to know they aren't the only one with some knowledge about it. Well yes, it's about how.. Well, I'll just shorten it and say it's an explanation for another time. I think we have more important topics right now. Turning to the new boy, Yasogi listens intently, somewhat intrigued by the rumors he brought up. When he is finished, Yasogi speaks up again. Hmm.. Well actually I was here for the rumors originally. But now I'm interested in the virtual reality..? I heard something to do with demons.. But it doesn't seem right in hind sight.
The boy would laugh to himself a little, seemingly amused by Akamine's joking along with his own. He'd then turn to everyone as a whole with a little alarm. "Wait, people are actually here to join? I honestly didn't think anyone would with all the rumours. Well, that's fine but I'm still waiting for the teacher who was supposed to sub-sponsor the class to show up. I'm sure some of you might already know but I don't actually work here. I'm just a volunteer who used to go to school here a long time back." The boy would then look over towards Yasogi for a moment and cratch his head slightly. "Uh, demons in VR? Maybe in a game or something but there are no real demons in software."
As if on cue, a tall man wearing a brown plaid suit enters. His most notable feature is the pompadour perched atop his head. He says goodbye to the group of students that was with him, and closes the door behind him. "So this is it, huh? Honestly I was hoping we'd get a bigger turnout! Greetings! I'm the school appointed sponsor for the VR club, Mr. Kisaragi! I don't know if many of you recognize me since I was just assigned here, but I hope we can get along!" He sets his briefcase down on a desk, and fiddles with various papers inside of it. "Oh, and sorry I'm late, I was busy helping some freshmen around the campus! I'll be participating in the 'VR' activities as well, mainly to serve as a safety precaution, but don't let me keep you from having fun here!"
Yasogi listens the explanation that is given, it was pretty strange to think that there were "demons" knowing a bit about VR now. Anyhow, joining the club seemed like a good idea. Not like she had much else to do after school I see, well then, I suppose I will be apart of this club as well if you don't mind. Oh, we never did hear your name did we? Apologies Yasogi then seems a little surprised at the sponser of the club walks in, they definitely seemed.. Unique at the very least. Mr.Kisaragi huh? Well it's nice to meet you. I am Yasogi Tomo. I didn't think we would get a teacher sponsor. It's nice to know we do though.
All right the gang's all here! Hitsuke pumps his fist in the air, smiling wide as he stands in the middle of the room Good to meet you Kisaragi Sensei, I'm Hitsuke Akamine, one of the students taking this whole "VR" thing. Now that we're all here, we can get started!! Hitsuke looks around at the group, his energy filling the air. Notably he avoids making eye contact with Yasogi as he looks around.
Well that's fi- At this moment the teacher walked in. He explains himself, and Jihi walks over to him. Hola, mi- my name is Jihi Sukurappu, everyone calls me Ji. He stretches out his arm for a handshake. A pleasure to meet you.
The boy would look over to the teacher with a sigh. "It's fine, just gave me a chance to start explaining a little bit." He'd look over to everyone as if trying to size them all up. "Alright then, guess we can get started. I better introduce myself. I'm Mino Kenshin, I used to be a student here as well. Anyway, guess I'll be blunt in saying that while I did go to school here I never actually graduated. That's actually the reason so many rumours have spread around about me, to most of the students who attended along with me it seemed like I had just disappeared out of nowhere but actually, it has more to do with my success at the time. Uh, I suppose there's no point in hiding it. Not sure if anyone here has heard of it but there was a piece of software released a few years back. It was kind of like a virtual world of sorts with realistic AI that was able to mimic emotion from the ones using the program. It was mostly popular among tech fanatics but... I was actually the one who developed that. It was because of that program that I got hired for some other projects. To keep it short, I dropped out of school to pursue those projects but because of my success, the school also agreed to let me host a club here. It's a little complicated and hardly the reason why any of you are here from what I can tell." Mino almost seemed a little uncomfortable explaining his own situation as if he barely knew how to in the first place. As if just skipping over any more details about himself he'd go back behind the desk where his computer was set up and pull out a bag. "I already have a test set up for today. In this bag are something from the last project I worked on. A special device that can create VR so advanced that it's indistinguishable from reality. When you're all ready, feel free to reach into the bag and take a device. They'll look like electronic watches so they should be self-explanatory as to how you put them on. However, the moment you've put one on you should be aware that that's like a promise that you'll stay in this club. The watches aren't cheap and once you put one on it sorta recognizes you as its user. Oh right, Mr. Kisaragi, you should take one too of course. You'll be partaking in today's test too I'd assume?" Mino would hold the bag open for everyone to take one of the devices. Inside the bag would e a large number of silver watches with screens attached to them. The watches would remain dormant for the moment as if they had yet to be powered on.
Kisaragi takes Ji's hand with a firm shake. He then moves toward the open bag, arm outstretched. "A more modern Bill Gates, eh? I suppose in the era of virtual reality, any sort of major development would put you in the sights of the bigshots! I'm curious to see what you cooked up here!" He grabs a watch and looks down at his own arm, it too has a watch. He fastens it a couple centimeters further up his arm. "I don't have to put it on my wrist right? I can just keep it on my arm, yeah? Worst case I'll just have a watch on both wrists heheh!"
Hitsuke jumps for a moment, gladly trotting over to Mino's desk and reaching towards the bag "So this new tech craze is all thanks to you huh? Awesome, I look forward to being a beta tester." Hitsuke grabs his own watch, swiftly putting it on his left wrist "Don't worry, I'll keep a close... WATCH wink on this thing. Its probably worth a ton."
Hmmm. Jihi thought back to when researched making computers to hearing about a software, albeit never pursuing as what's goes in the computers never mattered, nor helped him in making his other inventions. Or at least trying it. Jihi walked over to the bag to take a watch, after Hitsuke of course. So we just put it on like This? He slips it in his left wrist as well.
Yasogi listens intently, she knew she really shouldn't be associating herself with these types, he had been told to stay away from drop outs and those sorts, but it interested her oddl and Mino didn't seem like a bad person, grabbing a watch from the bag she nods as she straps it around her wrist after watching the others I see. So the rumors have no basis? I don't see a reason not to try this thing out. You sound pretty smart though Mino, I hope these projects of yours work out.
Mino would observe as everyone seemed to grab a watch and put it on. He'd seem to smile with a hint of excitement before returning to his computer. "Alright, I'm going to start the program up in a few moments. Make sure your comfortable and wave your hand over the watch to turn it on. After that all you have to do is say 'Log In' and the device should register you all as new users. I'll be monitoring things from my computer here so don't worry about anything going wrong." Mino would seem to begin typing on the computer once more. Whenever anyone decided to turn their watch on a small intro screen would take over displaying the phrase 'HOPED' before showing a menu of voice commands. The only options on the menu at the moment were 'Log In' and 'Equip'.
Sweet, lets get this party started. as instructed, Hitsuke waves his hand over the watch, watching as his screen brightens up all the way until it reaches the menu, at which point he shouts Log In
Gentaro awkwardly fumbles his hand over the watch, almost hitting it. "So just 'Log In'? 'Log in!'" He briefly wondered what the Equip was for, but perhaps it's better to do as instructed... Technology certainly wasn't his strong point. He simply waited for what would appear on the watch next.
Yasogi nods before waving over the watch with her hand, watching the screen change before bringing it up to her mouth somewhat awkwardly as she speaks into it L-Log in? Is that how you do it?
Jihi would look at it and with a smile waved his hand over it. Log in.
Mino would look everyone over once more before they would all feel their bodies begin to tingle. The world around them would seem to fade into nothing more than a stream of glowing numbers within a black void as it all seemed to melt away. It would be as if they hadn't really moved but more as if the world around them moved instead. Finally, a new world began taking the place of the old. Anyone who was sitting in a desk would notice that the desk had come along with them but would now be resting on a stone road. The stone road was in the center of what seemed to be a village that one might have also seen in a fantasy game. It seemed mostly empty with most of the doors to many of the buildings being locked. Only one shop seemed to be open with a blue door at its entrance. Mino's voice could suddenly be heard as if he was speaking through a sort of speaker. "Alright, looks like everyone made it, not that I had any doubts. First off, I should say that this area was made completely for the purpose of this test today. I mostly just wanted to show off how close this form of VR can get to reality. You should all even be able to feel things as if they were real as well. Don't bother with any of the buildings, none of them are open. Uh, anyway, I'm going to be trying to set up another area to test more features of the devices you're wearing. You're free to look around here just try not to leave the village. The other areas...aren't ready yet for testing..." With that Mino's voice would go silent leaving the group in the village by themselves.
His teacher's instinct kicked in, Gentaro decided to take the initiative as a chaperone. "While I have no idea how this works, you heard the man! Look and touch, but no breaking and entering... not that it's a choice? In the meantime, I will be over here seeing how real this all is!" Gentaro would then do several jumping jacks, a light jog, and at the end would kick a wall with his toe, primarily to see if he would be hurt or exhausted. Equal parts surprised, tired, and in pain, Gentaro takes a seat on the road. "Woah, he's totally right! It hurt to stub my toe, running can get me out of breath, and this road is very uncomfortable to sit on!"
Yasogi gets taken back when the world starts to dissolve around her, falling over onto the floor with shock as the new world materializes, taking a few moments to observe the new surroundings as she hears Mino, getting up and dusting herself off as she nods W-wow... I didn't know this was possible.. Uhm, I understand. Stay in the village. I'm just in shock.. Y-yes Mr.Kisaragi... Yasogi then checks her watch to see if anything has changed

Jihi immediately looked around as the okay was given. He felt the ground and some of the walls to test it was legit Woah. He looks at the door and back to the others. What should we do?
Hitsuke yawns and stretches, taking in the sudden visual change with a grin, its kinda weird and old-fashioned, but that much is typical of game design. Hitsuke looks towards the blue door, eyebrow raised "Isn't eveything supposed to be closed? What's up with this one then?" without waiting for everyone else's replies, Hitsuke runs over to the shop with the blue door, and tries to open the door
Yasogi would notice a new command appear on the watch. It simply read 'contract' in an unusually fancy text compared to the other commands. The words seemed to glow mysteriously as if they had been written on the screen itself rather than having been programmed in. The door would open easily for Hitsuke, almost as if it was natural, like opening the front door of their house. The inside of the shop was dark, so much so that it would be hard to see anything inside. It was almost as if they were staring at nothing but an infinite abyss but it would also be oddly inviting as if asking them to come inside.
..? Yasogi looks at the new text with confusion, that seems odd, she attempts to press it with her hand before turning to the others. Jihi would you mind checking your watch for me? I noticed something strange.. Yasogi then turns to Gentaro messing about and shakes his head with a smile, yelling out to him Mr.Kisragi will you be okay? Do you need to go to the nurse's room? Tomo then realizes that Hitsuke has left for the odd blue door, opting to stay behind for now and figure out the mystery of the watch first.
Jihi looks inside the shop. Looks like something didn't render. Jihi checks his watch for something.

Gentaro would hop to his feet and begin surveying the kids. "Oi, the guy said specifically NOT to open any doors! Knock it off will ya? If it hurt to stub my toe, I don't wanna find out if this is like some video game and you're just pokin' the sleeping bear, yeah?" He approaches Jihi with a stern look on his face. "I know that this kinda stuff can be exciting, but until we know all the risks involved just play by the books for now, y'hear?"
it wasn’t even supposed to open. Oh well, it’s not like there’s any real danger. Hitsuke grins, glancing back at the Yeager before walking confidently into the shop, straight into the seemingly endless abyss Besides, maybe this is a little glance behind the scenes, I kinda wanna see what this place is like while it’s being written worst case I’ll probably get kicked.

The icon when pressed would seem to cover the screen with the image of a blue door and an arrow pointing towards the shop. Jihi would seem the strange odd text on the watch but the moment Yasogi pressed the icon it would change for him as well, showing the image of the blue door and pointing inside the shop. Other than that he'd still be able to see nothing inside the shop from the outside as if the darkness was purposely meant to obscure his vision. Hitsuke now inside would finally be able to see a little bit better. They'd notice that the shop was full of shelves covered in odd things. From seemingly pointless junk such as old outdated globes and jars of odd liquids to more unusual things such as packs of cards with strange symbols and rocks that seemed to be visibly glowing. Both the walls, floors, and ceilings would also be an unnatural shade of blue. Past all the shelves cluttering the store would be a counter that was more aking to a desk. Sitting behind the desk was a strange old man with a long nose and wide smile that almost seemed glued to his face. He had one hand on a deck of cards that he would be picking up and then letting drop back in place over and over again. he almost seemed to be waiting for something.
This actually looks pretty close to done. Hitsuke remarks to no one in particular as he proceeds through the shop, glancing to his sides as he passes the random old junk. Probably some kind of curiosity or antique place. Either way, Hitsuke would keep going until he finds the NPC, he soon steps into the light and waves at them, muttering to himself That’s a weird character model... Supposed to be some kinda wizard? Fluid idle animation too... Wonder how talking works... Hitsuke looks at the air around the man, as though expecting something to jump out at him
Yasogi stares at the image strangely, slowly realizing it's telling them to enter the blue door, turning to her companions she shrugs and walks towards it, stepping carefully as to not trip I wonder what's in here.. Soon he is behind the others assuming that the door lead to the same place, looking around the place before speaking to the strange man with a long nose Um..? Hello? Were you the one that added the "contract" option to our.. Watches?
Well if that's a message, then I don't know what is. "It's just showing me the door. I'll head over." Stretching out his back, took one last look at the watch, went to the shop. Taking note of the rather strange obessetion with blue. Well more darker, like... But it wasn't important.
Gentaro would rush into the void after those who went before him. He would keep an eye on the students who hadn’t entered the store. “You kids stay out here! I’d like some respect for authority!” Seeing his instructions are falling on deaf ears he simply continues with a slightly disappointed expression.
The man with the long nose would seem to smile more as he looks up to Yasogi after she addressed him directly. Though he was looking at her it seemed as though he was addressing everyone in earshot. "It seems all of our new guests have arrived though I wonder who it was that truly invited you here. Regardless, I'd like to greet you all properly. Welcome to the Velvet room. It has been some time since we last had so many guests at once and this is a rather unusual arrangement as you all possess such unique attributes while still not exhibiting the qualities are guests normally do. Yet, here you all are and here I am. I suppose you all may be curious as to your purpose here. It's only natural of course. Ah yes, you asked about the contract option on the watches. Just a way to gain your attention so you wouldn't be late to this very important meeting."
Ha! In your face Kisaragi-Sensei. Hitsuke pumps his fist in the air, grinning widely as he does so Mino was wanting us to come in here all along. Probably one of those reverse psychology things. In his haste, Histuke doesn’t seem to have noticed the teacher in question following after them, instead he looks back to the NPC Obviously this is some early-game expositing he wanted to test out. Probably doesn’t really matter what I say. It’s all scripted anyways
Yasogi stares at the man in disbelief... This was a game right? Or so she was told.. But this person, or whatever appears to be a person seems oddly cryptic and suspicious, guests arriving? Unusual arrangements? She keeps her guard up as she looks around and listens, before asking another question Yes.. What are we doing here, and who are you? You are fake right? The club leader sure knows how to make a situation unnerving... Are you sure about that Hitsuke..? I don't know why but it seems odd... Too odd... What in Christ's name would this be used for?
Gentaro would shake his head, primarily in disappointment. He looks at the strange man, some suspicion in his eyes. “He said that some parts ‘weren’t ready’, so don’t get on your high horse yet. We aren’t clear of the woods entirely.” Gentaro places his hands in his pockets and stands in the corner, simply watching the proceedings progress.
Jihi crossed his arms. Velvet. That was the color. A meeting in this place and not yelling us in the real world is weird. It could just be to test out some A.I.s, but... Jihi looks over at the man with the long nose. Taking in what He said. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm Jihi Sukurappu. Although every one calls me Ji. Nice to meet..." Jihi thinks for a moment. "You."
The man would seem to just stare directly at everyone within the room. There wasn't much of a change in his expression but it was clear that he seemed pleased about something. "Whether I am real or not is a matter of great debate. All you need to know is that I am the master of this room and that the purpose of this meeting today is for you all to form a contract of sorts with me and with this place. If you're willing to agree to the terms of this contract then there are certain services that will be made available to you all later on. I am positive that these services will prove invaluable to the journey you are all about to undertake. All you must agree to is that from here on out you all must take absolute responsibility for any actions or choices you make." From somewhere under the desk the man would bring out a piece of paper with what he had said written out in a more formal manner. There were four spots for signatures exactly as if he knew how many people would be here today beforehand.
Yasogi listens, but her doubts linger, so she watches what the others do first. Meanwhile she continues her line of questioning Great debate? How is that possible... You must be fake if your in this.. Reality. It's.. Virtual. Realizing this, Yasogi rationalises that if it's virtual it can't do any harm right? After all she's just taking responsibility for his actions. With this mindset she signs the dotted line and takes a step back for the others, slightly more calm then before
Woah there, stranger danger. Hitsuke chuckles out loud before looking over the contract. It was exactly what it said on the tin, kinda a weird thing to start the game on, but hey, who’s he to judge? Either way, it doesn’t seem like an issue to him, real or not But fine, that’s an easy term to accept. Honestly why even bother writing it down? With a bit of a dramatic flourish, Hitsuke signs his own name next to Yasogi’s
Jihi looks at the other, before looking back at the contract. If it's A.I. that Mino made then it would already have our data, then again went meet for like five minutes so may be he wants to know more. With this thought and the others signing it, he tilts his hat down, spins foreward not to hit anyone and signs the paper. What's the worst that can happen?
Gentaro waits, but inevitably moves to sign the contract. His eyes ever alert on the area around him. “Guess I have to if we wanna move on... Darn kids...” He signs the paper albeit begrudgingly. “I’m supposed to be responsible for you guys after all...”
The man would nod before seeming to lift the paper into the air simply by waving his hands over it. He would hold it in the air just above his hand as if to present everyone's signatures to them. "And with that our contact is complete. You may now come and go within the Velvet Room as you please but for now, we must bid each other a brief farewell. With time you will find yourselves here again when the need for it arises." Suddenly a bright blue light would fill everyone's visions. For a moment none of them would be able to see anything but as the light faded they'd all find themselves where they first arrived in this world. In place of where the shop once was, was just another closed off building that seemed to be different in appearance to the Velvet Room.
Gentaro would move to the front of the group, a grim look in his eyes. "Ok, we need to have something of a talk. I'm not gonna stop you from jumping blindly into random voids in some virtual reality that can actually hurt you, but at least let me go first. I'd feel much better if I was the one suffering the most risk. You kids got a lot more life you're missing out on than I do at this point. I'm not saying we're risking our lives here, but that whole contract thing set off all sorts of alarms." With that, Gentaro would conclude his speech, resting himself against a nearby wall.
Yasogi watches as the contract disappears to her amusement, and in just a few moments being whisked away to another location in awe, as strange as it was, she had to admit this VR was pretty amazing. After getting her bearing she turns to Gentaro and nods with a grim look on his face, he was right should be more careful. Y-yes Mr.Kisaragi.. Uhm. I'll try to be more careful from now on. Yasogi then looks around the place to try and figure out where they are
Hitsuke closes his eyes for a moment, tapping his foot. Before he knows it they're back in the plaza, getting a speech from their teacher. Hitsuke blows a little puff of air Its not such a big deal Kisaragi-sensei. Its not like any of this is real anyways, think of it like recess for us. We don't get to do all this stuff in the real world, its only fair to let us have some fun in this fake one. Before we're all in our office jobs or whatever you're into. Hitsuke glances over to Yasogi with that last line, almost as though pointing at her more specifically before going on, smiling with one hand over his head If it turns out to be actually dangerous I'll make sure to follow your lead Kisaragi-sensei, but until that's proven I'd rather get to have some fun.
Jihi staggered about. Until he was stable. "Alright that happen. I'm guessing that was part of the program. Right?" Jihi scratched his head and turned to Mr.Kisaragi while he was talking. "Okay. Then I'll make sure that a situation like that will never occur. Merci." Jihi turned about looking around to see of anything changed
The town was almost the same as before with the exception of the shop being gone. It was almost as if it was never there in the first place with how normal everything seemed. Suddenly, a bit of static could be heard followed by Mino's voice once more. "Sorry, about the wait. Had to make sure things were set up properly. Don't want things to get dangerous or anything, not that they would of course... Anyway, I set up an area to show off one more function of the devices you're wearing today. It's called the equip function. I'm sure you've probably seen it already on the watches. I'll explain once you all move over to the next area I set up. You should be able to reach it by heading north through the village." Just as Mino explained a gate to the north of the village would have formed. It was large and metallic in nature, almost industrial seeming which would've been a bit staggering next to a medieval looking village. The gate would lead to a large metallic platform that was suspended in a massive space that took on a dark green colour. Within the green voice, a number or symbol could be seen flashing in the distance occasionally.
Gentaro breathes a sigh of relief. Finally a familiar voice. "Awright you heard the man, try to do as he says this time, yeah?" He would then waltz toward to northern end of town, wandering into the gate. He then stands atop the platform, awaiting orders. "Alright so what now?"
Yasogi hears Mino speak, nodding as she starts to walk in the direction of the symbol, before realizing she should ask about the contract option from earlier Oh. Yes, um Mino, I must ask, what about the contract option from earlier? What was that all about?
Hitsuke scratches the back of his head with a yawn, stretching as he follows Kisaragi through the gate "oh, we finally getting to actual gameplay now? Cool, I've never been too fond of expositions."
Jihi looks forward nodding at the commands. "Awright let's get going then. I'm interested to see what's next." Jihi thought back to the guy who really liked the color blue. He was probably a A.I. Then really liked blue, but a A.I. He do him. Jihi following along heads to Mr.Kisaragi.
Once everyone arrived at the platform Mino would begin speaking once more, trying to get through all the details quickly "Ok, so I think its time I began explaining one of the commands I'm sure some of you might have noticed. Similarly to how you all logged, the EQUIP function should work similarly. Its triggered by waving one hand over the device and speaking the phrase 'Equip'. That should give you whatever equipment the device believes matches you best. I'd explain how it measures that exactly but it's somewhat needlessly complicated. Anyway, just give the function a try for now." Mino would seem to take a moment to register Yasogi's question. "Contract? What contract? I already explained that taking the watches was an obligation of sorts, why would I have you fill out a contract. Sounds like you might have found a bug or something."
A bug...? Seemed more like a person then a bug but oh well. It was a blue room with a long nosed man talking about the future. Might not mean anything though. If you don't know anything about it I'll just assume that it wasn't supposed to happen. With the bug report over she turns to her watch, time to use the other feature now! She quickly waves her hand over it before whispering "Equip" to it, starting to get the hang of it.
Yeah yeah, follow basic video game instructions, probabyl awful to program. Lets just get to the good stuff alright? Hitsuke pumps his fist, leaving his left arm with the watch on it parallel to his body before waving his hand over it with a shout "Arma.... I mean Equip. Equip Now? Whatever
Bug? Maybe cut content... Doesn't matter now anyway. Jihi puts his hand on his watch and says. "EQUIP." Jihi waits for a response.
Gentaro once again stands behind the students, his focus steadfastly divided between Mino's instruction and his watch. Deep in the back of his mind he knew that the contract they had signed would eventually come back to bite them, now his fears gained more traction at the confirmation that the contract was unplanned. "Whatever the case, I guess I'll go next! Hen- uh Equip!" He almost strikes a pose while shouting Equip, but thinks better of it.

The watches would begin emanating a bright blue light that would surround each person individually before beginning to materialize as armour or clothing to match a specific theme and at least one weapon within their hand.
Yasogi watches as her clothes slowly transform, disappearing and being replaced by a long black and white habit, fairly tame and Mmmllinconspicuous, however her weapon is quite the opposite, a gigantic cross with golden regalia strewn all over it, the cross of the cross being the crossbar of the blade as she holds it with the shorter end, the longer side being sharp with a hinge in the middle which pops the sides out to reveal a crossbow that fired tinier crosses, an absolutely absurd weapon that seemed to fit Yasogi quite well as she looks it over, careful not to prick herself with it as she looks towards the other's equipment My my... This is certainly... Unique, I quite like it though...
As Jihi was emblem by the blue hue, his clothes shift about, his red blazer grew down to a coat as pieces of cogs moved in his various limbs. One on the back of each hand, joints, around kneecaps, all connect by a wire each cog. As Jihi moved they all moved in motion of him. Behind him a weapon formed of a chainsword all wires connected to it. Circled around each of his gloveful hands was another wire and inside the coat was a magnum. His once white shoes turned into black steel boots, and out from one shoulder on his right was a pipe lead out smoke. His hat stayed the same. "I can get use to this." Jihi looked at himself with awe.
As he's enveloped in light, Gentaro's eyes widen, not that it matters since they'd soon be impossible to see through the light. The light fades and his entire body is covered in a somewhat bulky white suit. His helmet is somewhat reminiscent of a rocket, with two glowing orange compound eyes at the front. Key features include an odd belt sporting strange multicolored devices inside it and a lever on the side, a level at the collar, a vent on his back, and some oddly familiar shapes on each of his limbs. In his hand is a long baton with several wires and plugs mounted on it. He swings it almost naturally, and electricity crackles off of it. He surveys his outfit, not being able to see it entirely, and holds a hand to his helmet. "This... How'd they know! Somehow the weapon feels kinda off though... Eh, whatever space is awesome! I wonder if... nah..." He waves the baton around, getting a feel for its weight.
alright lets do this then! Hitsuke's watch turns into a bangled, golden wristband, its display still shining brightly on the end. The gold coloration continues going up his sleeve, with a small, mostly ceremonial plate around the outer side of his left arm. The color spreads further out, leaving a golden mark of a jagged lightning bolt over his left eye as his entire body is covered in a thin, golden sheen. Finally, the color spreads over to his right, where a similarly gleaming shield forms over his right wrist. The shield is large and rounded, forming a shell over his right arm as Hitsuke finishes transforming holding his right arm out to the side and bending both knees, his left arm straight behind him Armatize!! And now we're talking!!
Mino would begin speaking after everyone got their equipment ready. "Alright, seems like the watches have properly synchronized and were able to gather enough data to reproduce fitting equipment. Hmm, suppose we can jump right into combat training. This should be too dangerous so I'll ask you all for your direct opinions. Do you each think you can handle an enemy on your own or would you rather fight something together? I'd like for everyone to be able to test out their equipment however they see fit."
well, we're probably not gonna be together forever anyways right? Hitsuke straightens up and hits his fists together, right hand into left with a grin I'd like to see what this thing can do on my own. Besides, its just testing, what's the worst that could happen right?
Gentaro pokes the tip of the baton, recoiling a bit as some sparks fly off from the discharge. He swings it a few more times before he answers. "I'm kinda familiar with what I've got, so if any of you want to do one on ones with whatever big man up there comes up with, I'd be happy to stand by and intervene if things look somewhat dicey! Sound good?" He squats down, removing the plug on the hilt of the baton to dangle as he sets it down, the remaining electricity dissipating through the ground.
I suppose fighting together would be for the best right? I don't see why we wouldn't be together for most of it. Might as well work on our teamwork right?
"If Everyone wants to fight alone, then I'll do it. But if anybody wants to practice sweet combos I'm okay with it. " Jihi took a defensive stance. "So have at thee!"
