Star's Shrine: Redecorated and Renovated
Star's up to her usual tricks again, trying to get new visitors to her shrine. She's redecorated the place and gave it a second story. Looks like she also got a new look for herself, sporting a blue coat and a sweet platinum colored gauntlet. ...yeah, this'll do...I think? Looks good... it's like it's all shiny and new...
It would not take long before Naho appeared since wherever Star is around, you can expect Corbin to bring Naho their. Anyways Naho entered Star's Shrine and waves to Star "Hi~'
Oh, sup Naho. What's been going on?
Raiden would walk up to the shrine to marvel at it's design. "How lovely.." He immediately started to draw it.
"Not much really, just got bored. Nothing to do without someone trying to harmme without someone to protect me"
Ah, neat. I guess things haven't changed while I was gone on vacation. I just got this gauntlet in the mail, was pretty cool so I modded it. It's got some pretty nice things in it. She takes a look at Raiden. Oh hey, new person...I think...?
Suddenly, a small army came charging into the general vicinity, lead by Alex, though upon seeing Star they slowed down to a halt. Alex awkwardly said "Hell...o?"
... what's with the army?
Naho just looks at Alex and his army... she just sighs
He closed his notebook. "Hello. Did you build this? Might i say it has some great articular surface and weight evenly distributed among the many walls....." Thus would go on for five minutes. "Anyway my name is Raiden Genesis. What's yours?
I did indeed build this fine establishment. Star Sakura's the name, and being the goddess of insanity and chaos is my game. Nice to meet ya.
"Uhh, uhh, we go now." After a few smoke/flashbang combos, the army and Alex run away "Fission Mailed,"
...what was that all about? Seriously, what was the point of that? I didn't mind the army, I just wanted to know what was up with the army...meh, whatever.
"Y'know with everything I learned I my journeys, that is not surprising." He sighed out loud. And looked at the army. "Well. Ain't that interesting."
A young man of average height and lean build approaches the shrine. A lit cigarette is hanging out of his mouth. He takes a look around the shrine Not a bad design I guess. Must've taken a lot of cash to build this place up...
Naho covers her eyes to make sure the flashbang does not hurt her eyes but once that was over she looks at Star "Well that happened" (Also Alex) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9RAbYECBpVA
Yeah, gods and goddesses ain't as surprising as they used to be. And damn straight this place cost money! The wood alone cost a fortune, and don't get me started on the laser-proofing!
Raiden turns to the young man of average height. "It is isn't." Raiden simply smiled.
"Laser-proofing?" Naho said looking at Star
... you'd be surprised how many times this place has had attempted destructions.
Hikaru, slightly amused at the shrine, speaks to Raiden That's the goddess of the shrine huh? How curious He then turns to Star Gotta say I'm impressed you build this. Must've been a lot of work for your height.
Eh, not really. Super strength comes in handy, along with magical levitation. It did take some time though...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9k1EvSX7W0 What's this place of eastern magic yeah, do my eyes decieve me or is this the ultimate place of resting, the top of the land, the height to surpass, yeah. The Machoman walks in wearing some good ol' colorful cowboy get-tup
"But at least you finished and the place looks great" "Also Randy Savange here"
Ain't a place of just eastern magic. All magic is around this place. And yeah, the place looks better than ever.
Hikaru was now even more impressed. He's heard of gods in old stories but never saw one in a shrine Funny. Forgive my comment but I always pictured gods and goddesses to be tall, towering beings of some sorts. Never thought a goddess of insanity would be so... small and adorable.
What can I say, I break the norm of the gods a lot, probably because I was human once. Being a goddess has its perks, but also it's downsides... mainly in the political area...you know how it is, gods love their followers and all.
"So how often does this place get destroyed?" Raiden said sighing. "Cause I, wanna know how do you build this again and again?"
Honestly, since I enchanted it to be almost indestructible, not much. It used to cave in a lot, but that was a year ago. Takes a week of hard labor to make a shrine like this. I could share the building plans if you want.
Hikaru slightly ponders A human? Are you some reincarnation of sorts? Can't say I'm surprised. Must've been nice to be a regular human. Can't say I know that feeling.
Nah, I kinda stole my god powers. It's a long story involving the multiverse and Persona and a guy with a long nose.
"Hey Star, since I might be with you every time you make a appearance. What kind of clothes should I wear so that I can kinda match your to let people know that i'm on your side/with you?"
"Really? If course I would. That will make it easier to do this." Raiden put both his hands together to form sparks and another motioning it, it started to form the shrine, only the outside. And barely. "Also, if there's any inside may i see it?"
Eh, just have a badge in the shape of a Star. I think it'll be easy to tell you're on my side with something like that. And sure, sure, doors open to anyone. I'll show you the plans later.
Interesting. I always thought people around these parts were born with their powers. Never thought of the idea of stealing another person's powers, and I've stolen plenty of stuff before. Hikaru flicks his cigarette butt outside of the shrine. He then pulls another one out of the pack in his jacket pocket along with a lighter How many times has this place been destroyed anyhow?
Raiden smiled softly. "Just a question. But is this shrine to you or did some one else build it or did you build it for someone?" Raiden said with a confused look on his face.
Oh, about 37, maybe 38 times. And yeah, I absorbed lots of powers in my time. Of course, things got out of hand with the power, so I don't have as much as I used to anymore. I've still got a lot of my stuff to keep me alive though. And I built this shrine for myself. It's my home, and my place of worship.
"Alright then" Naho said before looking around for a place to sit
Hikaru lights his cigarette and puffs out with a small smile on his face I had the feeling you would say that. Seems like most gods love to blow their own trumpet at times, guess you aren't any different. Can't say I ever saw the need for places like these, not much of a follower of gods myself
"So you worship yourself? Do you have any followers? And is that person (Naho) one? Also what happens if I pray to it? Sorry for the questions, always been a skeptic." Then again Master always said he tricked a god to get his power so...
Meh, I think I've deserved my small ego. I mean, when you fight and kill Super Hitler, you kinda deserve a pretty good amount of praise. But, that's a story for another day. And I don't really worship myself, I just live here, get worshipped, and run a few businesses here. Naho... I'm not to sure about honestly, but praying to me gives you a nice protective shield around you. It's not the strongest, but it's something. And I do have a few followers... they're around here somewhere...
"Oh really, well alright then. I'm just going to go do that in the background" Naho said before she went walking... still in the building to find somewhere good to start praying to Star
A protective shield? Hikaru bursts into laughter That's the funniest thing I've heard in a bit. I always assumed it was a spiritual shield of sorts but man, to think I can stop small things with a prayer! Can I stop a bullet with it?
"Well no time like the present!" Raiden kneed down in front of the shrine. "Wait, cant I just pray to you right in front of you or..." Raiden scratch his head.
If it's a small bullet, then yeah. And like I said, I don't do things like normal gods. I do have a business that involves taking care of "Spiritual Problems" though. And really, praying to me is as easy as putting some money into the box. She gesters to a box in front of the shrine. The more money, the stronger the shield. Do note, however, that it's a monthly fee kinda deal. Shield only lasts for a month before you have to come back. Paying 5,000 yen nets you a shield at full power.
After putting 5,000 yen into the box, Naho returns to Star and the others (Aka your paying 45.14 dollars a month)
Seems like a shameless cash grab to me, little goddess. I can stop bullets just fine on my own. Never understood why you gods always asked for money
Raiden reached into his Black Void of Mystery to obtain 5,000 dollar yen bill. May As well try... Raiden plotted the bill in and waited.
"Well god and goddess know that your willing giving something like yen to them and so their just giving stuff back to you either in shields or happiness
I'll admit, it's a bit of a grab, but for normal civilians, it's a pretty nice gig. Too bad not many people take the offer. Also, congrats, you're shielded now. You probably won't feel a thing...or maybe a slight buzz. Dunno. It varies. Both Naho and Raiden feel a slight buzzing in their being before it suddenly stops.
Hikaru flicks his cigarette away from the shrine To normal humans, yes. To me, not so much. I admit, I'm impressed by your feats, but I guess you can say I'm not normal either. He reaches into his jacket pocket to pull another cigarette out, but his box is empty Well this sucks. But anyways, I'm not exactly normal either.
Raiden stood up straight and moved his hand forward. "Come to me wall of madness and insanity! I give you my being and PayPal info!" COME FORTH!
Yeah, I figured. Tons of people with weird powers have been popping up even before I came here. And I don't think it works like- A blue bubble of protection wraps around Raiden. ...huh... that's new...
Naho would look at Raiden "oh...well then"
Hikaru looks at the visible shield, somewhat impressed The hell did that come from? Goddess, explain this!
Runs in "It's the work of a enemy Stand User" Runs out
I don't know. I'm a goddess of insanity and chaos, my powers do what they want. Guess they upgraded at some point so that now the shield becomes stronger for a short amount of time if called. Interesting...I suppose it's a better deal now.
Well in that case let's put it to the test. HEY RAIDEN, THINK SLOW!! Hikaru hurls the empty box of cigarettes at Raiden, awaiting to see the results of the shield
"Well Now, this reminds me of my Great Wall, but that's besides the point." Raiden looked around at everyone. "So I'm not the only one who could see this.. good so I'm not crazy. For once." Raiden spinned his wand to try to shot a bolt at the shield, to test its strength.
(edited by Raiden_Genesis)
The bolt passes through the shield, likely noticing the user attacking through it. The box bounces off harmlessly. The shield suddenly vanishes. ...I did say it would be around for a short amount of time. Give it maybe five minutes and it'll do that thing again if called.
"Interesting. let me see. Shield on!" Naho said doing a both hand push gesture
Naho gets the same shield. ...yup, looks like I'm right about the shield thing.
"All this just for money, eh?" Raiden said with a smirk. "Well, consider me sold I'll be follower, why not." Besides I'll tell Sorin this and he would be maaad. "If there's more please tell me."
"Alright. This will be useful. Well I'm just going to stay here with Star still"
Well, like I said, I do have a few businesses I run around here. I've got a forge built into this shrine here that I open for business occasionally. Upgrade weapons, armor, you name it. I also have a little shop for parts and doodads and thingamajigs that do various things. And then there's my spiritual business.
Impressed, Hikaru lets out a small smile While that was interesting, I still won't pay for it. I can reflect and deflect things just fine. I like you goddess, but I won't be your follower, maybe just an ally? Haven't introduced myself yet. The name is Michi. Hikaru Michi. It's a pleasure to meet you!
"Parts? Perfect I'm in need of some. Do you have any CPUs? It's how I can give orders to my creations." Raiden would be making a dog face out of circuits while talking. "Also I'll love to hear more about this spiritual business, if possible."
Soon with the shield vanishing. Naho smiles as she stands next to Star*
An ally, huh? Can never get enough of those. Like I said, I'm Star Sakura, and what can I say? I've learned a few things over my 55 years of being a goddess. And CPUs? Pfft! I've got tons of them in the back. And my spiritual business is mostly just exorcisms.
"Hmmm. Where i come from I'm something akin to an exocrist myself. If you count killing people possessed by Soulless and take over humans who fall into their desire and become Heartless who I stab as exorcism. Then I'm right for the job. Show me your wares, si'vous plate.
...yeah, sounds about right. Star stomps on the ground a few times and a small booth filled with exorcist charms, weapons, and other things appears around Star. This is just the general goods. I've got more specialized stuff in my shrine.
Naho look at the small booth and smiles "Wow"
Raiden pecks at a few of the parts, before turning to Star. "How much?" He would say as he moved his hand up to his top hat for a fat bunny to pop his head out and take the parts. "Remember, Shockwave. Anyway to the inside!" He said pointing his wand to the shrine. "Together now!"
Eh, let's just go with 3,000 yen.
After paying Raiden would head inside the Shrine. "Hmmm, may I have the buildings plan now? I want to see what I'm missing." Raiden looked around the Shrine feeling it for the material and design.
Sure, knock yourself out. Besides, I don't mind more being built. It just means more of my influence around the world. You know, because it's my shrine? Star summons a folder and tosses it to him.
Naho started looking through the stuff (mostly jewelry) that Star had on her booth
Raiden opened up the folder and looked through it. "So.. there... and... there... with...." Raiden mumbled to himself. "Alright got it!" Raiden tapped his wand down and circuits came out all to form the Shrine, of course smaller. "What do you think?" He said to everyone inside.
Looks good. A bit metallic, but still, looks exactly like the original.
Naho kept on looking... maybe looking for a Star shaped badge
"Of course, that what's the CPUs are for after all." He said with a simple laugh. Raiden nodded his head. "So what do your followers do, any way?"
They just go on about daily life. All I really need is the money to survive. Donations are a kind of spiritual thing, so I get stronger with more money in the box.
Naho sighs as she walks to Star
Huh? Yeah, Naho?
"Is there anything you want to do after this?" Naho asked... as she was kinda getting tired
"So you're more akin to be a money god than anything." Raiden smirked. "I guess money does drive people insane any way, so you're not doing anything you ain't preaching." Raiden walked to Naho. "I should introduce myself to you. I'm Raiden Genesis, but you could already tell from my usern-" Raiden coughed. "Anyway let me see if I can help you."
Naho looks at Raiden "Nice to meet you mr, I'm Naho"
Nah, I'm a faith goddess. Money in the box from different people is what gives me power. Just filling the box myself does nothing. And nah, I think I might go to sleep soon. It's getting late.
"Oh, ok. Star. Mind if I stay here for the night?" Naho asked, soon slightly yawning
"Gods sleep, eh? Didn't see that coming. Anyway Au Revoir." Raiden would say with a bow.
Sure, do whatever. Star opens up a pocket dimension and steps inside before closing it.
Naho smiles and soon she vanishes. most likely to go to sleep
