A Day of Silence
it was a day just like any other, the sun rising high into the sky, time for everyone to go to work and attempt their life, busy as usual. Walking out onto the streets, you find it to be surprisingly empty, largely devoid of people, the slightly muted city streets come to an almost stifling silence. Of course, all the city's usual sights are there, the tower, the park, the schools, the subway. All missing only one thing, the inhabitants
Star suddenly poofs in from out of nowhere. ...huh...well, this is... actually pretty normal now that I think about it...I mean, even though something is definitely wrong, everyone disappearing is just normal now.
Once Tachanke was on the street, he looks around, with his LMG on his back. He looks around "Where is everyone!? I have a bad feeling about this" Tachanka takes out his SASG-12 (Shotgun)
The pair wouldn't see much from the remaining in the same area on the street, though a faint breeze blows across the road, some odd leaves trailing alongside it.
Tachanka would keep his shotgun out as he soon walks around
...leaves...well, nothing will be done just standing around. Who do I have to kick in the nuts this time?
Tachanka would wander around aimlessly, prepared for an attack from any direction.... Only for absolutely nothing to show itself for some time. As the man nears the city park, he would hear the sound of music emanating faintly from the direction of the trees As for Star, she.. Also goes in a random direction? Didn't really say much there. Anyways, Star would walk around on her own. For quite some time there's nothing of interest, just the city being a bit emptier than normal. As she passes by one of the schools, Star would spy something moving inside the school window out of the corner of her eye
...well isn't that normal and obvious? Honestly, you go through so many adventures that they start to blend together and all feel like the same. Star jumps through the window and looks around. ...maybe I should do more time travel? Good time travel I mean. Like, rewriting the recent past or something.
Tachanka would look at the trees as he heard the faint music
The silence is broken by the sound of Star shattering the window, following after the figure. Looking around she is in an empty classroom, most of the desks have been moved off to the side leaving an open space through the middle. A pair of desks are set in the doorway in some attempt to block it off from the hallway, one upside down to sit on top of the other, two legs through the other side of the doorway The trees are about what one might expect, there are several varieties, mostly the standard deciduous trees, like maples, that cover most of the area. All their leaves are still green, and of course, the music doesn't stop playing
...okay then, let's try something another version of myself taught me. Hello, mysterious figure! You around here!? Star starts feeling the air all around her, looking for the figure.
Star wouldn't feel the figure anywhere in the room with her, the building remains silent as Star focuses, making it pretty easy to do after all. Unfortunately, very little changes save a faint tapping sound from slightly outside of the door
Horus puts his hands together in prayer for stephan karl
A tapping? What? Star punches the desks out of her way(and into oblivion) to take a look at the tapping.
Horus doesn't have hands you lil' shit, don't think you can get away with that here. As for Star, she strikes the desks, sending them careening out into the hallway, the top one flipping rather dramatically as it does so. A bucket of water, balanced on one of the outside chairs, spills towards the doorway, making Star fairly wet. Star hears a bit of a giggle, before she sees the source, a young woman who doesn't seem to be paying any actual attention to Star. They wear a long, black dress, with their long hair running down a fair bit of their back. When they do actualy notice Star, they wordlessly begin running down the hallway
...well that's new...and somewhat rude... how'd they even stack everything before I jumped in? Meh, probably magic. It's always probably magic. Star chases after the girl, feeling the air around her for traps as she gives chase.
Wings, fine. But they serve the same purpose of hands in this context
Most of the traps Star would find would be simple and childish in nature, such as a tripwire the other girl makes sure to jump over as she runs, to a broom that swings down in front of Star, hidden in the small space between a locker and the wall. The girl looks back with a grin, apparently satisfied with what's happening before she ducks into a nearby classroom, leaving the door open behind her There you go Horus. Much better.
Heh, I'm starting to like this! Star dodges the broom and runs after the girl.
"Gotcha" As Star runs into the classroom, she finds a fair amount of heavy rope being launched at her, its not in the shape of a net or anything, rather its more like the person had hoped the rope would just magically tie itself, which of course, it does not. As for the girl, she would remain a few feet off to the left, kneeling by a simple catapult made largely out of wooden beams one might find at any hardware store.
...so...you know anything about the mysterious disappearance of everyone? She checks her new gauntlet to make sure it's on tight.
The girl raises an eyebrow, glancing around briefly, seeing that there's not really anywhere left for them to go, they curl up a little and ask "I'm the only one whose ever been here. I was just sooo bored today... And here you are."
...if you're the only one here, then why the traps? "okay, theory for now is that I'm in another version of the world...again...only this one doesn't have many people in it...or people just randomly disappeared. Still, I have to do something about this mess."
well, at least i don't have to be to dramatic, sense no one his here, if anyone was here, someone could feel a vibration underground, but sense no one his here, no one felt it, duh, usually, the thing that was underground would hear someone complains bout the noise, sense is was weird of this to happen, the things head would pop out, and twa's a.......purple snake head with yellow pupils and arrow head eyes and head, it would as well have long curved fangs, and a yellow and purple shell on the back, as it seemed very confused... ''.....what the......well then........''
