CYOA: Jack Quest
If you don't know what a CYOA is look it up. I'm just a fan of the genre in particular and seeing as how there are none here I may as well make one. Essentially, you vote on options on how the story proceeds and whichever choice gets the most votes is chosen. The story is also written on the fly so there's a lot of leeway with choices. But enough about that, i'll start by writing the prologue and we can figure it out as we go. Deep within the colder parts of Greenland lies an oasis like village chalk with food, supplies and everything. This peaceful village was hidden to most and only known about as urban legend to outsiders. Within this village laid a race of faeries and other mystical demons who fled from North America during the witch hunts. While they tried to save a few humans along with them, few survived the journey due to the homo sapiens lack of tolerance to the cold, among other conditions. But those who had a natural affinity for it had a higher survival rate. Thus, Jack Frost and his various hee hos became the dominant species. But suddenly their whole society was thrown into chaos when King Frost mysteriously disappeared! For awhile the only thing people could do was run around and panic. That is, until a certain winter spirit stepped in. To distinguish himself from the other Jack Frosts, he donned a red scarf and wore jet black gloves. "Hee," he spoke out as he rose in front of his fellow villagers, "our king could be in danger right now, and all you hee hos can theenk-ho to do is run around like there's a god that'll heear your prayer-hos and make everything better, ho?" A Pyro Jack rose up to Frost and uttered in response, "Is that Hee-so? And what do you exheect us to do, for our king to be kiheenapped and act like evheerything's okay-ho?" "If there are invaders, I doubt they'll stop at taking our king. we're next I tell you! We need to leave the village while we still have the chance," Chimed another village demon. "I say we-hee kill them before they kill us," added Jack The Ripper. Finally Jack Frost took a chance to respond to all of his fellow demon's concerns, "Mayhee he's been kidnapped, but what difference does it make? Are you all so hee ho-ing weak that you can't manage to do anything without a king to guide you? Or are you so keen-ho on risking your lives without even hee-knowing where the king went in the first place?" Just like that, the demons all nodded in agreement. And just like that, another concern was brought up almost simultaneously as Pyro Jack once more uttered, "And what do you propose we do, ho?" Jack Frost strokes his chin with his right index finger as he questions what their next move should be. What should Scarf Jack say to his fellow demons? A: "We need-ho to send someone outside the village to find out what they can, by all means necessary" B: "We'll send an envoy to bargain with the local humans. At the least-ho, they may give us a slight clue." C: "We'll wage war on hee-whoever stole our king. And we'll slaughter his entire family, ho!" D: "We need-ho a new king, and I know the perfect candidate!" E: "Despaceeho!"
I would choose E but I have some dignity so A
I agree that no one should pick E. So I’ll say D
I'mma say A, because E is too much.
We had an explosion of Choose Your Own Adventures a while back but it's nice to get another one now and then. E
We must break the ties
Flip a coin?
if it means not picking E, I'll change my vote to A
I'll start writing in a half hour in case there are any sudden entrants.
Spams E
BBH
I'll be the only sane person here and pick C
Gin
--> D <--
I feel asleep but at least that gave you guys some time to get more E votes in. E wins with a total of 4 votes. With his loud and cheerful voice the charming Jack bellows out, "Despaceeho!" Everyone around him fell silent and turned their heads sideways. Finally, the irritable Pyro Jack breaks the silence, "What did you just say!? Did I mishear you or something?" "Hee-no-ho, just bear with me-ho for a second." Pyro Jack merely shrugs and gestures for Frost to continue, "Well what do we have to lose." "Heexactly! Now, this may sound a bit far-fetched, but I hee-hear tale of an ancient arachnid deheety that can grant us any wish. The only catch,ho-" Jack The Ripper cuts Frost off just then, "Hee-Yes, we need-ho to gather the elusive Spider Balls, I hee-know-ho." "Hee, somheeone hee-knows their legends, it seems-ho." "Hee, but 'tis merely legends. You'd hee hard-pressed to find one in your lifetime, let aheelone all seven, ho!" As if on cue, a mutt comes storming into the village with a shiny orange sphere in its mouth. It dashes in front of Jack Frost and grips it tightly. "Hee, spheeak of the devhee-ho!" The dog drops the ball and speaks up, "Bork!" "*sigh* You hee-know no one can understand you with that speech impediment, sir-ho. You really ougheet to get it cheecked out, ho!" The skeptic Ripper comments once more, "Hee-hokay, so we've got one of the spider balls. That doesn't mean anything if we-ho can't find the hee-rest, ho!" Once again, the Frost which wears the scarf put a finger to his chin in musing. What should Jack Frost tell his allies? A: "I'm sure if wee-ho wonder around long enough we'll magically come across them!" B: "We'll enslave the entire human population and make them look for us!" C: "Let's give up this futilee-ho quest! Who needs a king, anyway?" D: "Then you better get looking, ho!"
D is definitely the most power answer
Enslave all the flesh bags. I mean B
BBH
Good to know all sane people are here. I chose D, but only because B is already going to win.
🅱️ 🅱️ 🅱️ 🅱️ 🅱️
🅱️ C:<
A is obviously the right answer! I mean, what could go wrong!? looks at every series that had the same plot. ...oh...oh no...
D because B scum think they're hip. Also because Ch-hee-had
So looks like B wins but i'm a lazy ass so i'll probably procrastinate a lot on writing this
Mot
E I choose
