Worst Enemies in Video Games
Not bosses, just normal enemies. I'll also count mini-bosses, because the one I'm mentioning counts as both, depending on the game. Malboros from Final Fantasy. Is there any other enemy in those games that are worse? They poison you, blind you, confuse you. Some of them fucking heal themselves. Please, if there is an enemy in Final Fantasy worse than a Malboro, tell me so I can tell you how very wrong you are. Is it bad that I only make threads to rant? I'm gonna say probably.

In terms of worst enemies, Geodude/Graveller in Pokemon- but only in nuzlocke runs. Reason? They learn Self-Destruct at level 20-ish, which is relatively early. They can be one-shot by grass or water types with ease, but they can still survive if they have Sturdy. All these factors create a little game of russian routelette that can kill most ‘mons on your team... unless you can 100% flee with a Smoke Ball or Whirlwind. Wobbuffet is a close second due to instantly killing you if you’re unprepared to deal with its Counter/Mirror Coat. On another topic, in Devil Survivor, I’m nominating “any enemy that can attack from 2-3 spaces away,” since you can’t retaliate like normal unless you have a demon with the same ability. You’re just a sitting duck. Shoutout to the second-to-final boss, Belberith, for attacking halfway across the freaking map. While healing himself each time he does so. Second worst is any enemy in a boss fight that can heal the boss.

I'd say it is Ozzie from Chrono Trigger. He is really pathetic
Agreed on Malboros with that. Let's see. I hated the Centaurs in Mulans world in Kingdom hearts. Also the Dancing nobodies.
Here are the following enemies that I hate to fight against: Warframe: Grineer Scorpions, Drahk Master, Commanders, Corpus Nullifiers, Ratels, the Fog, Nul, Sap, and Slo Combas Borderlands: Rabid wildlife, Suicide Bandits. The Darkness 2: The Brotherhood Priest.
XCOM 2: Oh boy. ADVENT Shieldbearers give every other enemy unit a shield that can only be broken by either killing the Shieldbearer or by wasting ammo on the shield, and while they're not strong, their 3 points of armor still make them a pain in the ass to kill. And then there's the Specters that were added in War of the Chosen, which are mechanical enough to get fucked up by Bluescreen Rounds and EMP Grenades, but not enough to get hacked, they can dodge 1 reaction shot per turn, and they can incapacitate one of your units to make one on their side.

The Tales of Graces remake, Tales of Graces F, comes with a neat post-game arc referred to as the future arc that comes with its own story and in-game content. The final dungeon of the future arc has a set of 4 golem-type enemies, initially they just look like a reskin as so many enemies do in that game, but these guys have a catch. Most Golem-type enemies can’t be stunned, so you just kinda have to work around them. In addition to that, these guys all have wide-reaching normal attacks capable of knocking Asbel, the most durable character, out in two hits tops. They also get this nifty little advantage normally reserved for bosses where their spells cast almost-instantly which, combined with their inability to be stunned makes it impossible to stop. One of these enemies (I forget which one) has access to Indignation, the most powerful spell in the game with such a wide range that it can easily wipe your entire party in 2 seconds if you were anywhere near each other.
Constructors from borderlands 2. (Pardon my language in this) These FUCKERS ARE TOUGH AF. I hate them, they have so much health, so much damage resistance, and their attacks deal massive damage. Don't get me started on how often they come up, after you meet the first one you'll encounter very often. They spawn in more enemies (hence the name), they release a powerful shock wave if you get too close, release a volley of missiles if you get too far, and both fuck you up completely. I'm talking about only the normal variation. The badass variation hits harder, takes more hits, and spawns a turret as combat starts. The super badass variation is three times harder then the badass variation and has super missiles. Their weak spot is the eye, but it's so small compared to the rest of it, and this is just the normal diffilculty. Now allow me talk about a unique named enemy called "saturn". Hits like a tank with a top speed of 200 mph and nitro boosts before it hits, and takes hits like said tank on armor boosting steroids. Only encounter it once, but damn.
Enemy lancers from Valkyeria Chronicles (specifically the first one) Ordinarily, lancers have the second worst mobility next to snipers. Therefore, you would think that enemy lancers are bound by the same rules. NOPE In one turn, they can move the same distance it would take one of your lancers three turns. I've personally witnessed a lancer come out of cover, walk all the way to my tank, totally unfazed by the automatic pea-shooter turret, and shove an anti-tank right up the Edelweiss's tailpipe. Instant Game Over. Pure. Unfiltered. Bullshit.

"Stand Men! I have no time for the idle!" Speaking of Valkyria chronicles, V2's are fun. The nigh invunerable mini Selvaria's that can one shot anything put infront of it. Unless it's a Fencer. Then It dies in a single stroke. Just like any of your units to enemy Fencers. Isara Gunther, slayer of Fencers, is my best unit because Fencers are awesome and suck at the same time. Lancer part was fixed though. Though VC4 has mini artilery squads that shred through a unit, so I'm sure those guys will end up on a similar list when that game comes out.
I really hate enemies that steal your mp/money/etc, but I don't think there's any specific enemy I can think of right now.
I was having trouble thinking of what else to add, but then I remembered an enemy that’s not absolute hell but still mildly annoying. The Legend of Spyro series is an interesting departure, being a beat-em-up rather than a platformer. The third game, Dawn of the Dragon, was the last game of the series and the most recent Spyro game I’ve played in general. You get to fly, and switch between two playable characters at will. I’m getting sidetracked. Let’s just get onto the main point. Around the endgame there’s these huge enemies that are slow, hit hard, and can take a lot of hits. That’s nothing too bad. Unfortunately, either because I prefer to fly while fighting and/or they’re so bulky, they take quite a while to kill. Not only is your breath weapon limited by your mana, but going in melee means you can only land a few hits before having to dodge a massive blow. It’s probably easier to fight on the ground due to being able to turn easier, but either way, these enemies aren’t hard to handle. They’re just meatshields that make getting to the next level a bit longer than I would like.
Cait actually reminded me of something. Demon’s Souls has these things called Bugbears, rock bugs with very little offensive ability, just a very short ranged.... Biting attack, and some of them can jump (which is kinda a problem). They’re very slow and have very high defenses to all forms of attack, and the larger ones have more hp than some bosses. While they’re not very difficult, there are a few points where the game puts the larger ones directly in your path in a small tunnel, forcing you to slowly kill them. Oh yeah, and if you fell asleep while fighting them, don’t worry. When they die they cause a massive explosion a few seconds later that will probably wake you up. Or kill you if you’re in range because you fell asleep or just didn’t know it was a thing
I really hate enemies that steal your mp/money/etc, but I don't think there's any specific enemy I can think of right now. Tunnel Rat, Field Rat, Rat thief, Midget Rat, basically all the Rat enemies from borderlands 2 steal money from you and take dropped items

That’s not hard to believe since it’s an FPS game, how can you even really design bosses for those? While I’m sure there are exceptions, the general answer is to make damage sponges

You know, you don’t have to quote the person directly above you. Yes, I am talking about Borderlands 2, and also pretty much every other first-person shooter. It’s a genre that’s basically impossible to make interesting boss fights for, so usually companies don’t
True, but when they do make interesting bosses they are truly extrodinary.
my friends are my enimes -Demi Fiend
When I was a kid I played a learning game called Prodigy. It was fun... except when the enemies spammed healing moves and made the battle about 100x longer and harder than it should have been.
