How did you get into Persona 5? And how was the experience of playing it? Spoilers are allowed!
I really want to know how all of you guys got into Persona 5. It would be nice to hear all of your stories!
For example: I got into Persona 5 from watching SuperButterBuns's "For Beginners" video on it after watching Shenpai's videos on it (not the streams, still need to). I saw how highly praised the game was online, with consistent 9/10 or 10/10's all around. I decided to get it for Christmas and, well, I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. The beginning was amazing, and really help me and my older sister really get the feeling of the world I was about to enter. Going straight into a casino, running on the lights and supports, with "unknown" team members cheering me on. After putting down my name: "Ren Amamiya", I knew that I was going to love this game. Oddly enough though, and this is MY OPINION, Morgana was my favorite character. Seeing (him? Her?) grow and evolve throughout the story was an amazing tale to see.
I was already a fan of the series. I started with Persona 3 and I Found out about it through some youtube video (forget the name.) I played it and thought it was pretty fun. At that point I didn't consider myself a hardcore fan so I wasn't really like waiting and didn't already have money put aside to get 5, I just had enough and remembered liking 3 and bought it

Years ago, I watched my step-brother play Persona 4. It seemed cool, with the shadow monsters and gibberish spell names. All I ever saw was the bathhouse dungeon before he moved out. A few years later, I clicked on a Kamashida boss fight video out of curiosity, and I was instantly hooked. It took me less than a minute to order it off Amazon Prime. My first playthrough had 130+ hours.
Hey hey hey, persona is gay!
I got into Yandere Simulator from Kubz Scouts. I was already subscribed to him, and heard some good things about it, and watched the unfinished playthrough all the way through. On my birthday a month later, I played Persona 5 and had an absolute blast with it. I wasn't very good with Kamoshida's palace, but quickly got the hang of things afterwards. I also finally got to see what happens after the interrogation room scene besides the Akechi stuff.
Well you see, there's this Obscure French Youtubers that talks about shit that is mostly less obscure than him. His channel is basically dead now, which is sad, but his video on Persona (Which came out around the time of P4G, for context) was very good. So I watched P4 The Animation, loved it so much I got the game, and then I became a fan of the entire franchise.
it was the golden week sale and it was half off on psn, and my older sister just got a ps4 and my friend recommended it to me. i liked it enough to invest 115+ hours in a normal playthrough, which in turn got me into the rest of the persona series. atm i'm on p3fes (PS2) and p2is (psp), and have p4 in my backlog, though they are kind of on hiatus since i got sucked into spiderman, and now i'm addicted to super paper mario.
I actually gained interest on day of release. I had seen some fanart of the game (mostly of Morgana) but wasn't actually interested in buying it until a YouTuber named NicoB who I watch a lot posted a video of it when it first came out. I had already played and beaten P4G and played some P4AU by then and when I saw him upload I just decided to get the game then and there. I loved playing it tho and even though some moments like the Morgana and Ryuji fight I found kinda annoying I still loved the game as a whole and ended up with over 200 hours currently ... although I still haven't gotten the Platinum cuz i'm lazy and don't want to get the last 3 easy trophies
Was already a fan of the series since 2012, so I planned on getting P5 anyway. Due to screwing up my mailing address after moving, there were some issues with gamefly that ended up getting me the game completely free.
I saw news of it and thought it looked cool. I picked it up Day One in the Steelbook box. I got it and beat my first playthrough in around 60, 70, or 80 hours. It was fun. I kinda sped through it though but I did make the mistake of dating multiple girls thinking that is the only way to unlock everything. I am going through my second playthrough RN but that is on pause while I am playing other games. I plan on playing P3FES even though I have a friend who fucking annoys me saying iT ThE BesT GaMe EVaR MaDE and I know it won't be. and P4G soon.
I just love Persona games
I've been a fan since 2014 I think, started with P4G
I got P3 a while back and that got me into the series. I think it was a couple years after its release.
