Honestly, I dont understand why they have to put the fight with Yaldabaoth at the end of year, and the fact that they stop at that part really is torturing for people who didnt play the game. You agree?
If it tortures you, play the game. It's better than the OVA or the anime anyways. The anime is mostly just marketing for the game anyways. Ask anyone, about any persona games, the game is ALWAYS better than the anime.
It was the same with P4A, but this case is even worse. A 20 minutes OVA won't be enough to cover the rest of the game. The whole anime was a BIG mistake. Hope they don't screw up with The Promised Neverland, at least.
Promised neverland is a manga, so it's entirely up to the studio whether the anime is good or not. With games with a lot of sidequests (like persona) and not a narrow storyline, the anime isn't usually good
Persona 3 or even 4 had better animes, even though Persona 5 had more potential to turn into a good anime. So I guess it wasn't entirely because it's a game with a lot of content or something like that.
Persona 5 anime is not far off based from the game and I kinda understand why they mightve ended it that way but its such a letdown, if they want to do it that way they could make it during when Akira/Ren decide on siding with Yaldabaoth instead of fighting him then make the OVA for the good ending
