Behind the Reflection
The first sight you see is a girl sat on top a throne staring down towards you. You don't remember how you got there, or why. In fact, the only thing you know is that you're here now, whether you like it or not. A man wearing white colored butler's attire walked towards you. He adjusted his black fedora while giving a sly smile. "Yes yes, this should be enough. Ah-hem, welcome everyone! Thank you for coming on such short notice." He scanned his eye over everyone present. "Today I would like everyone to participate in an activity in order to release ourselves from the chains of boredom, if even for a little while."
Isla slowly got off the ground trying to uselessly remember where is she and how she got there. Did I have too much to drink? Wait I don't drink. Woah! Isla looked over to the girl on the throne with wide eyes. You're really cute! What's your name? You even have a butler! What's his name? She turned to the butler. What's your name? Oh and yeah I join the activity.
Alice looks around as she notices the abrupt change from what she was doing before and now. Thoughts of how she arrived here and why only occupied her mind for a moment before she decided it best not to dwell on it. She looked over to the girl on the throne as she felt some form of familiarity with her but decided not to think too deeply on it as she looked at the man whom spoke to her. "What doth thee hath planned." she curiously asked
Gord immediately jumped to his feet, slightly dazed, what in the ####### name of Rolf is this, I wonder? He let his eyes wander as he checked for his weapons.
Nana sits up after waking and immediately looks around cautiously W-where? She notices the girls, and man, next to her, then looks the throne girl and butler "Coming on short notice" huh? Don't remember coming really. Kinda suspicious if you ask me. She reaches for the handle of the sword on her back, more on instinct than anything else. Whether or not it's still there however... Up to OP if she still has her sword on her or if it's been taken

I HAVE AWAKENED! *Maria yells, expecting to be in her room. But she's not. She's here. With Kyu, but still not in her room.* Hmm? Oh this isn't home? Hey Kyu. *The nine tailed fox cub yips.* I know right? Strange places. Strangerer faces. Cute girl though. I shall sit still and listen carefully to the chibi person. *Maria sits on the ground, folding her legs. Kyu sits in Maria's legs as the young girl strokes her pet.*
The Butler gazed over the odd people she managed to bring in. He smiled holding his hand up to signal he wanted silence. "Now now I know you are confused. I acknowledge that, so to ease your stress I will no longer surprise you. It's going to become more confusing." As he talked the girl on the throne seemed to smile. Both Nana and Gord would find their weapons replaced with odd objects. The girl on the throne tilted her head up slightly in response to Isla's questions. The butler looked over to her, in which she nodded in response. "She is indeed adorable. You will refer to her as Berma. My master, as for me you may call me simply The Butler. I have no name." The girl stared at Alice, pausing for a while before turning the other way as if deeming it unnecessary of anymore thought. Gord would not be able to find any of his weapons. However his pockets were filled with... candy? An assortment of sweets that somehow didn't clump together were the only thing Gord would be able to find on his person. If he looked towards the Butler he would see him wearing a devious smile. Nana felt the handle of her blade press against her palm. But she would notice something off with it. If she checked to see what was wrong she would see that her blade had been replaced with a thin wooden plank the width of her sword. "Ah-haha. I couldn't resist. Besides, you came here yourself... or do you not remember?" The Butler said with a grin as if he knew the answer already. Maria would find that the Butler appreciated her silence and listening abilities. Berma also seemed interested with her cub. Berma adjusted herself on the throne making the Butler climb the steps to reach her, and then hold his hands up. "It seems everyone here is willing to participate in the activity! The rules are simple! A simple game of tag! Now I'm sure you all know the rules yes? Now allow me to tell you a few changes to said rules. First, there will be more than one 'it'. Second, if you become 'it' you lose breathing privileges. Forever. Last five minutes and Berma will grant you a wish! Afterwards, you may return home. Any questions?"
Oh. That's all. Nana leaves the wooden sword on her back, relieved that there's at least something, and raises her hand What if we don't need to breathe? Otherwise, how do you intend to persuade the "it's" to try to tag people?
Ooh! Ooh! *Maria raises her hand in the air, waving it around desperatly.* Can we play Piccadilly instead? If your tagged, you are also it. Last duder standing is the winner. It's more fun that not breathing.
(edited by Maria)
Isla agreed with the Butler about how adorable Berma was Oh tag? I'm the Queen of this game! Whether I'm it or not I can win! Isla began to stretch not bothering to ask anymore questions
Alice raised a brow at the proposal. A game of tag. Admittedly this was the first time someone had called her forth for something like that and that in itself piqued her interest but in the end she simply shook her head as she began to float off of the ground and took a posture as if she was laying down. "I shall watch but I have no interest to take part in it. Tis fine with you I hope." she said with disinterest as her gaze moved over the others. Trying to shake the feeling she got from earlier.
The sudden disappearance of his gear was devastating to Gord. Two great artefacts of Dwarvenkind, the Si and the mighty Big Punch, gone! And his gold too! All of that carefully budgeted, meticulously counted gold! Oh, the Dwarfmanity!
The Butler enjoyed the discord that happened from the people below him. Berma also seemed to enjoy what the Butler has planned. The Butler's grin grew twice as large when he heard Nana's question as if he was hoping she would ask it. "Please believe me when I say they won't be needing to breathe..." He answered cryptically. Berma looked interseted in Maria 's idea. She turned to Butler who nodded towards her. "I can promise that if everyone get's caught only those who are 'it' will remain standing." He told Maria, who would see Berma focus on her fox again. Isla would see the Butler glance over to her happy that she was ready. The Butler opened his mouth clearly annoyed at Alice's attitude and response. "The whole reason I have arranged this activity was to relieve my master's boredom, if you assume that you simply watching will entertain even a dog it's better that you leave-" "No" Berma said flatly. The Butler froze in place. "Master?" "It's fine. I would like someone to bet with. During the match I would like to bet on who survives." Berma told the Butler. He sighed walking over to the steps mumbling to himself. While Gord was seemly having a meltdown the Butler walked by him. "Now now, I can't make this too easy for you can I?" He whispered "If you win, maybe you should ask for them back" The Butler then stepped onto the steps once again. He looked over everyone he has participating. "Now, to address some questions, in which you will find the answer to quickly, none of you are going to start out as 'it'. To answer what I am saying visually..." He snapped his fingers, making the ground under everyone except Berma, the Butler, and Alice disappear. Everyone now found themselves inside a jungle filled with emerald green leaves. It looked as though it was the Amazon, however besides plants you couldn't find any other signs of life. Suddenly the feeling of being watched overcame every one of your senses. Monster. The first thing that came to mind when seeing what came from the forest. Five eight foot tall figures reveled themselves. They had arms that stretched to their heels equipped with claws. They all had bags covering their faces which only showed the outline of their heads. "They are going to start out as 'it' As you can see, they aren't breathing. And into to becoming 'it' they are going to make sure you won't be breathing. I'll give you all a ten second head start!" 5:10
What are those things? Can he control them? I don't have anything to fight them with! I need to run! Isla began running in the opposite direction of those monsters. I was the fastest runner in school! I can out-run those weird things!
Gord bolted away, anywhere was fine, it just had to be so he could survive this nightmare with these dark beasts. Oh, Morodwyn.
(edited by Knight_Gord)
That's not what that means! I know people will be standing up still. Stupid person. *Kyu looks at Berma for a second as Maria gets up before it turns it's back to her, obviously unintrested.* Well, you wish to challenge I? The great Darth Mar, destroyer of all and my partner Kyu the Adorable? Mwu Ha Ha Ha! It shall be the last thing you do, peasanty fool of foolishness. Ya ha. *With that, Maria and Kyu run off in a random direction, Maria laughing in a theatrically evil way.*
(edited by Maria)
Oh. Interesting. Well, this looks like it'll be fun. Alright. I'm game! Seeing that everyone else has already run off, Nana runs and jumps up the nearest tree and begins hopping from treetop to treetop towards the east
(edited by Nana-chan)
Alice didn't say much as everything changed around her and the creatures appeared. She simply continued to float and observe this "Game".
Isla would quickly find herself in front of a abandoned green house. It was the size of a football field with tons of vines growing over it's broken windows. She was able to see that inside there were rows upon rows of decayed plants inside pots on top of rotting tables. Gord noticed a car as he speed away. If he checked it he would see it being fully functional. However it seemed like it needed a few seconds to start up, if was going to try to ride it through the trees he would most likely have to commit. Berma smiled and waved at Maria and Kyu the adorable as they ran away. They would then pass by a cave. It was covered up well within the trees so it was easy to miss, luckily Kyu the adorable was able to spot it. They would need some kind of light source to see unless they would like to go in blind. As Nana flew from tree top to tree top she would see a large tree house, actually big enough to be an entire house. The tree under seemed to defy gravity as it held the house steady. It was on the biggest tree, able to have a good view of it's surroundings. The Butler looked at his wrist despite there not being a watch as Berma watched the forest. "Who will win." Berma asked Alice not even turning her head towards her. The Butler sighed before smiling once again. "Time's up!" The Butler yelled somehow loud enough for everyone to hear. As soon as he announced this the monsters who seemed frozen in time snapped their heads up. They weaved their sacked heads through the air as if smelling until they all at the same time jerked their heads in different directions. At once they darted in those directions. The Butler smiled. "The game has begun" 5:00
Oh wow I've never seen a green house. It's looks so out of place with how alive the forest is and how dead the plants are. But the tables should be good cover to circle around to make sure I don't get tagged! Isla rushed inside, hiding behind one of tables, ready to run out if she needed to.
Tree house. I should raid it for weapons and get out quick Nana jumps to the house and quickly searches for weapons or other valuables such as medicine or first aid equipment, if she finds any within 10 seconds, she'd grab them and escape to the roof out of a window, if not, she'd do the same. On the roof she searches around, looking for the "Hunters"
(edited by Nana-chan)
Geez. It's dark in here. Kyu. Little help? *Kyu yips, nods and then lights ghostly blue flames on the tips of it's tails. The fires would spread around in a circle around the two, lighting up the surroudning area.* You da best, Kyu. Now let us fly into the darkness. Mwu ha ha. *Maria runs on ahead, Kyu running behind her. The flaming circle stays in the same positions around them as they run.*
Gord ate a candy, then tried starting the car, praying O Blessed Morodwyn, keeper of balance, golden mistress in the skies, remember thine champion and preserve me, and everyone else in this in the glimmer of innumerable gold coins
Alice blinked a few times as she saw the situation unfolding. All in all none of them had any really good chance of winning. The odds weren't in their favor. Stranger still is that no one seemed to notice the big loophole here. They would continue until either they were all caught or the time limit was up but they never specified when the time limit was. To put it bluntly they could carry out this game indefinitely until everyone was dead. There were no winners. Still, she would at least humor the girl. "What shall we be betting or will this simply be for entertainments sake?" she asked not taking her gaze off of the game
Isla would be left in a few moments of silence before hearing the sound of shattering glass. Footsteps seemed to grew closer as they crunched through the shards. If Isla would look over to what the sound is she would see one of the monsters fumbling about. It was directly facing her, but it didn't come charging, it moved it's head around the sky, slowly getting closer. It was only a few yards away from Isla. It knocked over a few plants as it walked forward. It would most likely reach her in 20 seconds. Nana would find a small battery radio that could fit in her pocket inside the mostly empty tree house. When she climbed on the roof she would see the entire area covered in trees, but a few small clearings would catch her eye, a green house, a car which seemed to have a person inside trying to use it, and a mansion not too far. It would most likely take a minute to reach. Just as Nana took this in however she would feel the house shake slightly. Upon inspection she would see one of the monster clumsily climbing the tree towards her. It's head emitted a strange ticking sound as it got closer. Maria now was able to see that the cave stretched out before her was more like a maze. It had many loops and dead ends. In fact they even found a skeleton inside there. As they made their way around it they would hear the echo of heavy footsteps followed by the sound of clicking. It was quickly getting louder, Maria would see two choice ahead of her, right or left. As Gord would see the car's engine slowly start he would realize the amount of noise it was making. The sound of someone pushing leaves violently out of the way was beginning to be the dominating sound Gord was able to hear. The car was 90% done. It was his choice to run or bet everything on the car. Berma looked over to Alice for the first time since the game started. "If what I think of you is true then the things we would both value is easy to provide. Information. I would like to ask a few questions if my wager is correct, but if not you may ask a few questions as well if you'd like to take the bet." She offered. The Butler gave a worried look but sighed when he realized he wouldn't be able to stop her even if he tried. 4:30
Oh they were released already!? Does he want us to win?! I guess not that I think about it. Isla began to slowly move out of her hiding spot, careful not to make any noise. This guy reacts to sounds I think. Should be fine as long as I avoid any of these really easy to knock over plants. Isla was beginning to make her way towards the exit.
Ew dead bodies. Ew. Ew. Ew. *Kyu's ears would perk up as the footsteps approached. Maria's voice remained as loud as ever.* Evil dooders. Quick Kyu. We must do the running flee action of escaping. To the Left! *Maria then motion to Kyu to kill the flames, which it does. The two then creep down the right path. Maria would speak, her voice barely coming out.* Being loud to tricker people is my specialty. We don't have to escape. We just have to survive for a bit. Easy, right Kyu? *The fox would nod it's head as the two continued slowly.*
Hmm.... I only see one... No good. I don't know how strong these things are, or how competent... I should watch the one I do see and gather information.... She squats where she is, watching the monster climb to see if she can suss out it's capabilities, ready to jump towards the trees in the direction of the mansion should it get too close Ah... Meanwhile I should test magic.... While she's watching, Nana absentmindedly draws a magic circle on the roof beneath her with her finger. If magic was usable, the circle would glow red, setting a magical trap that would explode on demand

Work, you piece of ogre dung, work! Gord was preparing to throw himself through the glass of need be, hoping desperately that the vehicle would work
I'll continue this in morning, you can come back if you like what's going on so far. Again, sorry but time zones and whatnot.
anyone(question mark)
morning is an interesting thing for some people
So what if I take 20 hour naps? Also just waiting on person, not sure if I should update without them yet or keep waiting.
The monster's head shot upwards in the direction of Isla as soon as she made a movement. Its clicking became more louder. Isla would make it half-way to the exit when she heard the monster in the center of the green house begin to growl. Its head twitched violently still facing her direction. It's neck emitted a cracking sound as it reeled its arms back. And shot them forward. Isla would see the arms fly in front of her, missing by just a few inches. Maria would hear the footsteps stop when she yelled. The clumsy uncertain sound of whatever was producing those footsteps disappeared, replaced with the unsettling canopy of running towards a certain direction. A blood curling screech was let out as the footsteps grew louder. Maria would see the monster reach the branch in the path and immediately shoot its arms to the left. Its arms stretched into the black void in front of it. The sound of it smashing into a dead end echoed through the cave. It paused before clicking again, its body turning slowly to the right as its arms retracted. The circle Nana placed would be produced with no problem. However, the abomination below her didn't stop, it dug its fingers into to wood reaching closer and closer. It reached the base of the tree house in seconds, crawling inside of it like a spider. Nana's ears would now be chained to the sound of the monster's heavy footsteps and clicking directly below her. The vehicle's engine began to match in volume to the sound of the rusting leaves behind Gord. Then, finally, the screen in front of Gord flashed a welcoming green. However, if Gord was to turn around he would see a not very welcoming sight. The source of the second sound would be clear to see. A humanoid figure hurling itself towards him on all fours. It let a almost glass shattering screech as it quickly began closing the distance between Gord and itself. Once it reached the beginning of the opening in the woods, it began to stand up straight, and reel its arms back.
Isla's body froze when the whatever the hell that thing is threw it's arms in front of her. WHAT THE HELL?! IT CAN STRETCH IT'S ARMS?! SINCE WHEN!!! Isla covered her mouth to stop herself from screaming in surprise. She crouched below it's arms and began to move towards the exit as quiet and slow as she could.
Heh. I should be good then. Let's get away for now. Nana leaps off the roof and onto the tree tops, heading for the mansion. As she's leaping, she draws a circle on her wooden sword, which then glows green, signifying that it's now enchanted with wind magic. Once she's a safe distance away, she unleashes the flaming sigil, causing an explosion that engulfs the whole treehouse Let's see how durable you are. Oof. Didn't see the update. Sorry.
(edited by Nana-chan)
Kyu. Did it work? *Kyu looks around the corner before looking back to Maria and shaking his head.* Plan B then. Ready? *Kyu nods. Maria smiles, gets up, smirks looking confidant, takes a step forward... a runs like hell in the opposite direction the monster is, screaming her head off and flailing er hands in the air. Kyu runs next to her.* AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
As Isla crouched under the monster's arms, she would be able to see it move its head side to side. It began clicking again as if it lost interest and seemed like it was going to begin searching again. However, it pulled its arms out of the wall, Isla was unfortunately right under them as it do so. She would see its head snap towards her and its claws begin to wrap around her shoulder and wrist. It stopped clicking. Nana's explosion caused the entire tree house to burst into flames, a shriek from inside the blaze was easily heard. It was inhuman, yet it was unmistakably a man or woman, somewhere in between. Nana would see a figure engulfed in flames burst out, howling from pain. As it leap off the charred and collapsing tree house the flames died down. It disappeared in the forest. Nana's enchantment would go well. She could already begin to see the gates surrounding the mansion. A war cry echoed throughout the cave as Maria screamed. She would go through turns at every corner, yet so matter how many different direction she went the footsteps only grew. That was until she reached an opening. Light shone from the end of it. The footsteps were getting louder, no doubt it would be on her any moment. Gord would decide that standing still was the best way to confuse the monster, while he was in front of a running engine. The monster shot its arms forward, its claws breaking the windows and cleaning seperating Gord's head from his torso. Gord is dead due to inactivity. 3:30
UP! UP! UP! UP! UP! *As Maria passes through the opening, Kyu launches it's nine balls of Foxfire into the ceiling. If all goes as plan, the opening would cave in, blocking the cave entrance and possibly crushing the beast and saving the two from the monsters grasp. Maria would then pet Kyu for doing a good job, causing the cub to yip in happiness.*
OK. Ok... nothing to worry about it probably just thinks I'm a table or something. Just have to stay still. Isla made her body as still as a statue as she could manage and held her breath.
Huh... Sounds like a person... Oh well. She jumps straight over the gate and enters the mansion from the highest floor window and begins to search for anything useful, keeping an ear open for the ticking sound of the monsters
Kyu's shots managed to make the ceiling of the cave crumble, causing boulders and debris to rain down. Maria would get outside safely, however as she ran, a claw shot out from the void of the cave. It grazed her hip before coming to a sudden stop. The cave in caught the arm before it could do more damage, making it go limp. Its fingers still twitched. Isla would feel its fingers curl firmly then stop. No noise came from it. No... no noise came from anywhere. Time had stopped for that exact moment. Yet, one sound became louder and louder. The monster was clicking again. Except this time Isla realized something. It was to the tune of her heartbeat. Its grip locked as it lifted its arms along with Isla in the air before slamming her down. It erupted another scream as it did once more. Isla would feel the wind knock out of her. The monster then began to walk closer to her, it no longer clicked. Once it reached Isla, it froze. Then, in one quick motion, it released Isla's head from being tied to her torso. Isla is dead due to thinking pretending to be a statue would work when someone grabs you. The mansion didn't provide anything truly useful to Nana. Old family photos decorated the walls and shelfs, some of them contained the girl on the throne from the beginning. However none of them contained the Butler. As she made down each floor she would notice a clicking sound begin to grow in noise. As she walked around it only grew louder. It would become clear that it was coming from one spot. A door to the cellar is what produced the noise. Nana would also however begin to hear the same noise coming from the outside. A mental note should be made that fire doesn't kill the monster, but they do wonders to their tempers.
OK SORRY FOR NOT REALIZING THAT THEY COULD FEEL OR SOMETHING THEY CAN BARELY WALK
Hm. Not worth risking my life to investigate. Nothing useful here. Nana climbs to the top of the house (avoiding both sources of ticking) and tree hops to the highest location she can find. Meanwhile, she'll draw a very small circle on the battery she found. I should see if I can find the others. Assuming nothing happens on her way to it, she'd use the vantage point to look for anyone still surviving, while keeping her eyes and ears peeled for the monsters
(edited by Nana-chan)
*Maria looks up to see the cave completely collapsed. She then leaps around celebrating.* Da da da da da da da da- Owwwww! Ow! Ow! OW! *Maria looks at her side, still leaping though now in pain.* Kyu! Pain! *Kyu rolled his eyes before it's tails glow slightly before sending an orb of lighter blue fire at Maria's wound. It would burn slightly before welding together, creating a dark red scab that was already slowly repairing itself.* Ahhhh... Much better. Right then. Let's move! Dooby dooby doo. *Maria marches forward, humming happily to herself. Kyu follows closely behind.*
Once Nana reaches the highest point of the mansion's roof she would begin to realize the gravity of where she was. She was able to see make out the leaves of the tress swaying as something drew nearing to her. Only problem is there were three sources heading towards the mansion, all of them coming from different directions. They would close in quickly. As if sensing what was going to happen, the clicking in the cellar grew more violent. Kyu's orb would barely form before exploding right in front of him. The blast wasn't enough to kill the fox but he would fall to the ground like a rag doll. He would be unconscious. Kyu would have fallen near the hand, which caused it to begin twitching once more, it began to stretch over Kyu, its hand acting like a spider as its index finger begins to wrap around Kyu's bruised paw. "Ah, did I forget to mention no heal spells? It must've slipped my mind..." The Butler mocked from the sky. 2:30
NYAH! *Maria would rush to Kyu's side.* NONONONONONONONONONON- GAH I BIT MY TONGUE! *Maria would look at the hand.* You there! Spider hand! Get away from my adorable and DEFINATLY NOT DEAD friend. *Maria would then attempt to pry the hand off of Kyu*
Not good... Three, two must have died already... Nana looks for the highest point on the island. Should she encounter one on the way, she'll throw the battery at it and ignite the enchantment on it, causing it to explode like a battery acid filled grenade. Along her path, she picks up multiple stones and gives each a different enchantment before throwing them. The first, to the left. An enchantment that causes the stone to give off the same amount of heat that a body does. The second, to the right. An enchantment that causes the stone to emit a continuous sound identical to whispering. The last few she would keep and drop along her path haphazardly. Enchanted to let off a flare into the sky should something approach. Now then... Let's see if I can suss out how you track me.... Sorry for the wait, I posted a while back but I guess it didn't go through.
Maria attempted to pry the hand off the definitely not dead Kyu, but it twisted as she got close wrapping around her instead. Its claws quickly pulled Maria back to the exit of the cave, there she would hear from the cracks of darkness of the cave in, a faint yet steady beat of clicking. Another hand slithered out of the gaps of the debris and coiled to grab Maria's waist, its fingers aiming to her waist. Nana would barely threw the second stone before the sound of a door crashing down filled her ears. It was obvious the cellar door had been broken. The sound of clicking rang from inside the mansion, along with the crashes of furniture, glass, and wood. Nana would see that one of the sources began to run to the rock she threw to the right, however after the noise of whatever the thing that came out of the cellar made, it resumed its path to the mansion. All there sources picked up their speed.
*Maria eyes dilate slightly, looking terrified as the other arm fires out. She manages to shift her body slightly, but that just accomplished the arm reaching the hand is already on. Maria breathes heavily for a few second before she calms herself. A shadowy energy starts surrounding her.* Alright then. I guess that's how we're playing this. I hate to do this, but I don't really see another option. Guess I'll have to rely on his power. *The energy erupts from the arm the two hands, sending a powerful ray of energy at the rubble. Meanwhile, Nine shadowy daggers plunge into the ground behind Maria. Chains shoot out of the daggers, attatcking themselves to Maria, rooting her to the ground. Assuming the hands weren't dust from the energy blast, she wouldn't be moving much from the spot.*
Assuming Nana arrives at the highest point of the island, she would likely see or sense Maria's magic and begin heading in her direction with all haste, her wooden greatsword prepared to strike at the hand. The wind enchantment sending a very quick, very sharp, shockwave of wind out from the "blade" aimed at the arm. This of course would exhaust the magic circle on the blade. Sorry it took so long. Life happened
The blast from Maria would destroy most of the rubble caused by the cave in, throwing up a dust cloud from the explosion. As the dust cleared Maria would see the monster's hand still in the air. The other hand however was ripped off to the explosion. Nana would make it there in time to notice a shadow slowing walking out of the cave. It was burned and clearly had some broken joints but it kept moving. It clicked as it began to walk towards Maria. The sack on its head would finally fall off, exposing an eye. Just one eye, a large eye at the front of its face engulfing all of the area available. The eye however had multiple pupils. They focused entirely on Maria. She would then notice holes opening and closing on the monster's decaying neck. They popped open quickly before slowly closing, producing the familiar clicking noise. Then, all the holes clicked open at once. And then, they screeched. Nana would hear from the mansion and nearby howls of similar pitches as they drew nearer to the direction she was heading. 1:30
Well aren't you a pretty sight? Heh heh. * With a smirk and a small wave, the tail like chains unstab themselves from the ground and fire backwards pulling Maria further from the creature. As she flies past him, Maria grabs Kyu. As she lands, Maria looks around for any place she could use to get higher.* Gotta stay far as possible.
Good idea! Come with me! Without missing a beat, without stopping a step, Nana puts away the wooden blade and grabs Maria, holding her princess style and leaping up the nearest tree and away So you're the only one left huh? Let's stuck together, ok? Names Nana. She smiles and giggles, like she's playing a game
Huh? *Maria is caught of guard by Nana's sudden appearance. She almost drops Kyu but manages to maintain her hold on him as she is carried away.* What the... Well, I suppose if you aren't with those things we can. Shouldn't be too long now. Anyway, I'm Maria. This is my friend Kyu. He was knocked out by the one behind this sick game.
The monster's behind Maria and Nana would scream, they began to close the distance between them, an assault from the front and the single one from behind Nana and Maria. As Nana and Maria talked, one of the hunters leap from the trees, letting out a screech as it reeled its arms back. However, another pair of claws shot towards it from the front. The monster from the cave-in focused its multi-pupil-ed eye on the attacker. As it was knocked from the air, it screamed in agony, retaliating to the eye-monster by firing its claws. Its eye widened, dodging the attack before launching itself past Nana and Maria to its brethren. With the monster being able to see, its brothers had to no chance. Its eye suddenly began split open as it charged, revealing rows upon rows of teeth that sat on each other taller and taller until it reached the core of the monster's head. It dug its jaws into its companion's neck, its teeth piercing through the holes in its neck as it tore it off. The monsters were distracted. The sound of shattering glass broke through the wailing of the demons. Whatever was in the mansion was entering the forest.
Are they... fighting each other? *Maria hummed lightly.* Well, I suppose that doesn't quite matter right now. Hey, Miss grown-up. Now's our chance to retreat.
