P5 Golden and Akechi
So, with P5 Golden promising more content and more time to experience it, there is one thing I hope we get to touch on more: Goro Akechi. Akechi is by no means my favourite character (Makoto gets that award), and I do believe that a good number of people dislike him. However, when we witnessed his death pretty much at the hands of his father, we also learned of his reasoning for his gruesome deeds, and the motivation that drove him forward. And, the eventual futility of those actions, as he was just being used the whole time anyway. This by no means redeems what he has done, but it brings one thing into question for me. I've always wondered since the end of the game, what kind of a person could Akechi could have been, if only he were loved? I hope we get to interact with him more, and glean a little more about him. Just enough to add to that feeling of 'what could have been'.
It’s called Persona 5 Royal not Golden. You’re thinking of Persona 4 Golden.
Actually, I’m pretty sure it’s Persona 5 FES...
Wait we’re both wrong it actually Persona 5 Portable
Ah yes, Persona 5 Portable: Including new Funky Mode.
Why of course Akechi is gonna be more prominent. After all, both he and Ren are wild cards chosen by the big butterfly himself. It's called Persona 5: War of the Chosen, isn't it?
First of all like everyone else said it's P5 Royal (the Royal in Japan). Other than that there is an OVA with potential interactions that MC could potentially have with Akechi, it's called proof of justice and imo it's the best thing to come out of P5A. Also even if there are people that dislike him the number of fans might be even greater, especially since he has that Fan favorite title in Japan (i can confirm this myself since i've been in Tokyo last year). The only way to actually get a redemption arc for him would be to actually follow up om what he said right at the end... "If only we could've met a few years earlier" And basically undo all the crimes he commited. Also we never actually witness his death (it's left unknown in both the game and the anime). So, we can't say for sure if he died or not. If Atlus wanted him to be dead they would've not pull this card multiple times. As for your question if you wish to see how Akechi can be when interacting with others normally for now a good example would be PQ2.
What? Royal i coulda sworn it was persona 5 eternal golden fes punishment revelations of innocent portable sin night arena.
