"Hmm. Unfortunate, but there's not much we can do at this point. Follow me into the briefing room and we'll discuss from there."
The man enters a door on the side of the room and we follow him. Inside is a long table with papers, blueprints and other documents strewn across it. Hardened Bad-asses sit around the table, grunting angrily and speculating where the enemy will attack next. A lanky man with shaggy hair stood up and looked at us.
"So, you've finally decided to join us, Oda. So, how's about it? Could your great deductive skills pinpoint the enemy?"
The trenchcoat man replies to the lanky man
"You're damn right they could."
"So it's, like, battle time?"
The lanky man grabs the dual revolvers that were strapped around his back.
"Hold your fire, Rogers. There's still the matter of securing the city. And even if we can weather their assault, they'll be unlikely to show their faces if our force is too great."
A young masculine voice can be heard from the shadows, it's owner dressed in medieval robes. The silver-haired man walked to the side of the table and laid out a giant map on it.
"...Which is where I come in.
Now, obviously, if we're all out in the open the Black Syndicate will be scarred off. Lucky for us, this Tokyo is just full of nooks and crannies.
This alleyway right here is perfect for an immediate surprise attacks. And the sewer system can be used for soldiers to travel to and fro should a drawn out stand-off occur.
Thanks to some very quality intel, I have also discovered that the Syndicate planned to attack the King while the majority of our forces would deal with their assault. That's why were talking the King to the field ahead of time with a contingent of troops who will simultaneously scout out the sewer tunnels and serve as backup in case of an emergency. The second forces that will send will pose as ordinary citizens; They'll have to search for discrete hiding places themselves to be prepared to strike when the time is right. Finally, the front-line. That'll be me, Oda, Rogers along with a small group of mercenaries. We'll show up at the actual time of the assault, putting up the magic barrier to defend us from the chemicals and confronting the Syndicate head on. Ours will be the riskiest job, that's all."
The tall man that responded to Oda began to stretch his arms out and spoke to us.
"Very well. Make any preparations necessary. We move on my order."
Everyone nods in agreement.
