Just A Question.
So, if a person has two personalities, with one innocent and the other a charismatic killer, what would their palace look like?
half good hald bad. Or maybe even two seperate beings in the palace?
Wouldn't it just be a spilt down the middle or something? With one good while the other is bad?
Don't palace appear for only those who are bad? So wouldn't only the Killer's show up?
but wouldn't there still be the conscious of the other personality Jo?
Then it might really be just split down the middle.
Yeah! Just good and bad!
ok, but Jo had a point with Palaces only appearing for the wicked. So, by that logic, isn't it impossible for a good palace to even exist?
Then it might just be only the Killer's because the other one isn't bad and won't appear, even if their consious is there.
The thing to note about people with multiple personalities is that each personality is their own person, with their own separate thoughts and memories. Since palaces are entirely cognitive, only the killer personality would have a palace, and their "good" half would likely have no relevance in it, or very little. The role depends on the relationship between the two personalities.
in the theory that only one exist, then let's just say that the other personality doesn't have a palace. But, now I ask the question of what if you destroy the Killer's treasure? What would happen to the person overall?
The Killer's personality would get become suicidal yes? While the other one remains unharmed
Ah, yes, let us not forgot that only the most dastardly of villains can manifest palaces. Such as the much hated Futaba Sakura.
Only the killer's personality would change. After all, the two personalities are separate people, there's no reason to believe a change in one would cause a fundamental shift in the other
Would they even have sepreate treasure? I mean, wouldn't it just make the entire person depressed?
It might depend on the type of multiple personality disorder. Like, if it's the one in Split, it can affect the other personality
does everyone think that only the Killer will become depressed?
I do! I mean, I do now
Yeah, it makes the most logical sense
in Split's case the personalities were all aware of each other and typically took turns. But they were still different individuals with varying physical and mental capabilities, so the rule applies as with most real cases
assuming everyone thinks so, I have another question. Same with the multiple personality disorder. However, this time let's say they are both horrible people. Would they each have their own palaces or one conjoined one?
Okay, but going off topic for a bit, what if you made the innocent seeming personality the real guilty one and the one which you initially suspected simply had psychopathic tendencies but was actually innocent? They could both have palaces and this could be revealed near the end of one.
I know it should be they have their owns, but I really like the idea that there's half that's an carnival while the other is a theme park
That is important to note. Palaces are caused by a form of cognitive dissonance, a distortion in their view of the world. Not by how good or evil one is. Thus the "good" one could still have a palace if their thoughts are messed up And as before, they're still two different people, and thus would have different palaces.
I would say one huge city with buildings showing each personality
Honestly, what if you break the treasure on accident, and that's the only way you found out because the innocent one suddenly became depressed?
I really like the idea of it being one mind, but yes, they probably would be just two different palaces
I mean its fiction, you can make it however you want. I'm just pointing out how actual split personality cases work
what if it's in the mind of an insane person and the palace it just a maze with different parts and stuff? He doesn't have different personalities, but he really just has a messed up view?
No good story is gonna end with "Oops dropped it." You'd either have to introduce an malignant persona user or incorporate an unexpected betrayal to have that naturally happen. Murderous Persona users that were never before established as such are pretty cringe, though.
that sounds cool, a mission to fix a person beyond repair mentally
I haven't finished the game so this may well could have happened, but could an animal have a palace?
What if the treasure is a personality?
I haven't finished it either, but it could if it's intelligent enough right?
this has become us asking the questions we always wondered
Questions like, "Can your treasure change from you seeing what it is?"
A treasure is what is the core of your personality, so it could change, but your entire personality would have to change too
If you ask me, only the killer would have a palace, but the good side would have some relevancy wether it be the treasure itself or maybe the only person that knows what's happening in the killer's head
