Homura and Madoka A few days had passed since their encounter with Sayaka. So far the other girl seemed to be doing rather well and life continued as normal. While they may not consider it pleasant, they likely wouldn't be surprised to find a familiar, white, cat-like creature waiting for them when they got home. The creature wastes no and, although its mouth doesn't move its voice can be heard clearly heard Kyubey:"I'm glad things worked out between you. Not the ideal solution, but as long as it works." The careless creature casually stretches and begins pacing, as it usually does waiting for a reply. Sonomi Sonomi visits her mentor, Suzuki, like normal. And as she often does Suzuki would start pushing her. This time it was target practice. Turning Suzuki's room into a makeshift shooting gallery, simply white space with targets scattered about for Sonomi to hit from a distance Suzuki: "Alright, lets see how much you've improved." Damon For his part, Damon was still mostly keeping track of Ruriko, the unruly, brown-haired Magical Girl Suzuki had asked him to keep track of. Ruriko wasn't very polite, or particularly friendly, but she at least tolerated his presence. It was a cold winter day when they met at the usual spot, a small park hidden within the city. It wasn't a very popular place which made it a good spot for them. Ruriko would be waiting for Damon like she normally was, with an oversized jacket, a lollipop stick sticking out of her mouth. Ruriko: "You just about ready 'sir knight'?" Ruriko gives Damon a grin as she hops off the park's only bench, ready for another day of patrolling. Capri Capri wandered the city herself, keeping to the quieter parts of town in hopes of avoiding attention. So far she had least managed to avoid any monsters, which was somewhat of an achievement considering their recent history. That is, until she's approached by a somewhat familiar blue-haired girl dressed in a somewhat boring school uniform. The girl tries to wave at Capri to get their attention. Kohaku As for Kohaku, she continued going on patrols in the afternoons, as she liked to do. Nothing unusual happened for the last few days, though she hadn't seen Sayaka since the incident. It was while she was on patrol that Kohaku ran into Kyubey again, the same white, cat-like creature currently talking to Madoka, also simply appeared beside her while she was on patrol Kyubey: "You seem to be doing pretty well."
That depends on your definition of "well". She sits on the roof of a skyscraper, looking out over the city. ...... Let's just say It's a good thing I'm not the same kind of magical girl that seems to populate this city...
* "O-Ok. Nothing strange has happened today. Now I'm just going to go back to Aunt Gemini's house. Maybe I can play with Red and Mr Wolf and just-" As Pri is heading home, thinking to herself about her quiet day, she freezes as she sees a familiar girl. She nervously waves back at her, her mouth a twitching smile. "Oh... Oh no..."*
(edited by Capricorn)
She looks around in awe at the change of scenery, but shakes her head in order to get herself focused. Instead of focusing on summoning her weapon, she focuses on the position of the targets seeing as how they won't move a single inch. Just like a picture. "Right, I'll be on it now!" Swinging her meteor hammer to get more traction, she starts to pick them off slowly, one by one. Her unconventional and ponderous movements make it so that they only break halfway most of the time...but they still get hit. That's good at least, since it will only take one more inconventional swing to break them fully. "I feel like there's a better way of doing this that's crossing my mind..."
The pair... Had apparently been at home the entire day, both girls would be found laying on their couch absently snuggled together. They'd both look up with a frankly mildly annoyed, but mostly just surprised face. M: "O-oh... I'd ask how you got in here but it doesn't matter really, yes it is good things worked out isn't it..." H: "Quite. I assume you've come here for a reason though Kyubey, you don't feel any need to waste time on pleasantries right? So what's the deal." The girls would sit up, somewhat. Madoka quickly gets pulled into Homura's lap as the black haired young girl just leans against her friend's shoulder and stares at her... Enemy? What the hell is the Incubator, she doesn't know or care right now. She's just holding a blushing pinkette tightly and ignoring the ever present desire to shoot Kyubey.
Damon meets Ruriko's enthusiasm with a pleasant grin. But of course princess. What kind of knight would I be if I couldn't keep up with the missus~ Damon proceeds to stand up from the bench and cooly wipes off some imaginaru dust from his pants. These little meet up sessions he had with Ruriko were beginning to be his favorite part of the day. While he was only doing this to protect her from some mysterious mcguffin there was still a lot of fun to be had just by bantering with the girl. Yet, before they could commence the usual routine he did have to ask a pressing question. What would ever happen if you just stop patrolling and fighting witches Ruri-chan?
Madoka and Homura Kyubey momentarily flicks his tail back and forth and closes his eyes as he answers the, admittedly obvious question Kyubey: "I made a promise with miss Kaname here earlier, remember? By handling the Sayaka situation you've done your part of the deal, so its time I followed through on my end." Kyubey stops in front of the pair, looking into them with his almost creepy red eyes Kyubey: "You did want to learn about Suzuki's past didn't you?" Sonomi Suzuki breathes out an irritated sigh before snapping her fingers. The remains of Sonomi's targets fade away into the wall, only to be replaced moments later by over a dozen familiar-shaped targets arranged in a cone ahead of her Suzuki: "Lets try something else then. In our first sparring match you managed to use a sort of sonic blast. Try to wipe out all of these targets with it." not nearly fast enough.. Maybe I was mistaken. Damon Ruriko: "Where the hell'd that come from?" Ruriko breathes out a sigh and crosses her arms as she turns back to Damon. The girl glares at him for a moment, before taking another deep breath to answer Ruriko: "I have to kill those things to recharge my magic. So if I stopped I'd run out of magic and that's it..." Ruriko strikes her fists together, her usual confident grin back in place as she announced Ruriko: "It doesn't really matter though. I'm gonna survive, that's all there is to it." Capri The blue-haired girl soon catches up to the frozen Capri, seemingly unconcerned with the other girl's nervousness. They grin and chuckle to themselves before starting Sayaka: "Hey uh.. Sorry about earlier. I've.. Had a lot on my mind lately. A.. Anyways, I was just wanting to thank you for your help. Is all." Kohaku Kyubey: "Of course they'd tell you about that, wouldn't they?" Kyubey looks out over the city himself, sitting up with his tail swishing back and forth in the air behind him. After a few awkward seconds he asks. Kyubey: "Surely you can understand why I'd leave out a few minor details then?"
Ah ha ha. Y-You don't do that... I I didn't... r-really do anything. *Pri laughs nervously.* T-That other person... Is she... erm... Are you...erm... *Pri fidgets slightly. "I hope they're friends again. But after that phone conversation..." Pri swallows, looking down at her feet.* N-Never mind...
The taller girl would absently run her hand through Madoka's hair, just nodding a bit as the pinkette smiles slightly despite Kyubey's presence. H: "Mmm, I wouldn't call you a liar after all. Omitter yes, but not a liar so that makes sense. Yeah we wanna know." M: "Yes... I'm pretty curious about that actually. Please go on." Cutting a deal with it seems wrong to them both, but it's not like this was anything they wouldn't have done anyways. So may as well get what info they can...
“Hey, this weapon is super hard to master, you know...” {Sonomi feels a bit discouraged as she sees the targets come back up again, knowing somethings on her mind but can’t really figure out how to express herself, she stirs her confidence and tries again.} “I’ll try my best, but I don’t really know if I could break them all!” {She starts to swing her meteor hammer around once more, she goes ahead and attempts to hit a few targets. As she does so, the moment break is uttered by her, the meteor hammer glows blue, basically echoing the impact of the swing from beforehand in order to break all the targets with relatively precise accuracy.}
Huh? Tell me about what? Leave out what details? She seems genuinely confused, then shakes her head. All I know is what I've heard and seen from the sidelines. Magical girls of their type get too much negative feeling and they turn into the monsters they fight. .......... Kinda makes me feel pathetic....
Damon considers Ruriko's straightforward response and wonders what form the "thats it" part of it takes. Yet, no point in considering that seeing as Ruriko is raring to beat some witch heads in. He mentally notes her momentary serious side and then walks on ahead. I don't see how you plan to survive when you are such a slow walker. Like geez if you went any slower you would be going backwards and that would do us no good! Damon sticks his tongue out after saying this as he marches on waiting for Ruriko to chase after him.
Madoka and Homura Kyubey: "Very well." Kyubey looks at his two victims friends, and moments later the world melts away. Suddenly Madoka and Homura are standing... In school. In fact Madoka would notice it as a group of lockers from the middle school she had briefly attended when she first arrived in town. It seems that school had recently started, with all the students chatting about their day as they get ready for their classes. Kyubey: "She should be arriving soon." Shortly after Kyubey speaks to them a young girl with silver hair walks in the door. The girl is stooped over a little, as if she's trying to shrink away from everyone around her. In fact she's almost unrecognizable, save for her bone-white hair. Though her hair being long and well-cared for now, the color is unmistakable. Sonomi Suzuki begins to grin as her student manages to smash all of the targets at once. There was obviously a verbal component to their weapon, but to what degree was still testable Suzuki: "Not bad. Lets focus today on finding your weapon's basic abilities." Suzuki snaps her fingers again, causing the shattered targets to vanish into the room again. The next set of targets line up in a nice straight line extending for nearly a mile for Sonomi Suzuki: "It looks like your weapon is activated by voice commands. Try something like 'shoot' to hit all of them in one go." Damon Ruriko: "Y... You're the one slowing me down by being weird." As Damon was expecting, Ruriko runs to catch up to him, before taking a few quick steps ahead of her current partner. Ruriko: "Man what's your deal anyways? Just showed up with the rat one day insisting on following me around and saying weird stuff." Capri Sayaka: "I'm trying anyways." Sayaka says with a huff before shaking her head and answering Sayaka: "But I haven't been able to find that brown-haired girl from the barrier recently. Been looking for both of you anyways. You just happened to be the first one I found. I've got some.. A fair bit of apologizing to do." Kohaku Kyubey gives Kohaku a blank look before shaking his head and looking back into the distance Kyubey: "That's the part I was talking about. The Witch thing. They don't really have a choice after they contract. You still do." Kyubey momentarily pauses, flicking his tail back and forth before looking back at Kohaku Kyubey: "after all, Its easy to seem brave when you don't have any other choice."
Exactly.. They have to be strong. They don't have the luxury of being pathetic. ......... Anyway.. Is something going on? Familiars don't usually appear to anyone other than their Master unless something's happening. I think?
{Sonomi just stands there a bit confused, but still satisfied with her outcome. The fruition that came from her enlightenment might have been unlocked entirely not by a purpose of her own, but once the targets start to appear again, she feels she has no choice but to go along with it.} "Shoot? Hmmm, I feel like there's more to it. Though I'm glad I accidentally impressed you, Shizuki-chan!" {Though still inexperienced with the way her own weapon functions, she still attempts to perform the task that is ahead of her. Thus, as the girl spins her meteor hammer, something in her mind reminds her back to when she had her megaphone gun. It was due to this that the girl experiences a revelation, and a smirk creeps it's way on her innocent face.} "I hope the results right now will be more shocking!" {Once she swings at the targets again, the meteor hammer goes at least half a mile's worth, yet it stays in place at the extended position as if it were actually a spear. Seeing this, Sonomi grabs onto the wire holding the hammer with her other hand, now letting loose an electrical burst that takes care of the rest of the targets once more.}
Damon wonders if he should tell Ruriko anything about himself, but decides against it. Some things are better left unsaid until otherwise forced out. So instead of seriously considering an answer he thinks of some new way to mess with the girl. An idea soon comes to mind and he speaks. I was told that if i didn't help you then I would be killed in the near future. Damon fakes a sob. The rat has me at knifepoint to protect you. Please send help.
Hee hee. I-It's good that you're trying. *Pri smiles.* I-I'm glad. Y-You seem a bit... happier since w-we last met.
The pair share a look for a moment, clearly a bit stunned and dazed by the sudden scene change but given the fact nobody else is reacting to them they assume its something akin to a recording or the like. M: "Well... This is one way to learn about the past I guess, wasn't expecting it but here we are." H: "Mmm, didn't expect anything so dramatic right now. But I guess that's fine..." Homura glances toward Suzuki with a curious expression on her face, wondering what all they might be able to glean from this place. Madoka mostly wonders what exactly made the magical go from this to... Whatever the hell she is now. Both are quiet for the moment, merely observing.
Homura and Madoka Kyubey: "Of course, this is just a memory, so our presence won't affect anything." the other students continue socializing as Kyubey talks, occasionally obscuring the group's view of Suzuki. They walk about as if Madoka and Homura aren't even there heading past or even through the two as needed. While the other students are socializing with their friends, Suzuki remains reading by her locker, though its difficult to tell exactly what at this angle. Soon the five-minute bell rings, which brings Suzuki to attention. The girl panics a little, running off to her next class without paying much attention to where she's going. Older Girl: "Hey watch it." Which unfortunately leads to the girl bumping into another student, several years older than her, who pushes back, sending Suzuki on her back, her books scattered around her. As Suzuki scrambles to get her things together, the older girl bends down to pick up a single book, the one Suzuki was reading earlier. Its much smaller than Suzuki's schoolbooks, and now that the area is more clear Madoka might be able to recognize the cover, but it had been a month since she'd seen it. Sonomi Suzuki: "That's enough for now." Suzuki lets out a relieved sigh, smiling at Sonomi before snapping her fingers once more. This time the practice area shifts back to her simple tearoom, the usual indication that they were done practicing for now Suzuki: "Impressive, it seems you're learning quickly. I thought I chose well." Suzuki closes her eyes for a moment, this was pretty much the most direct praise she'd given so far at the very least. Damon Ruriko lets out a bit of a laugh. Though this obviously wasn't really the rat's style, it was also clearly the most she was going to get for now, so she lets the question go. Ruriko:"Man sounds rough. You should get a knife or something to defend yourself." The girl doesn't question it any further. Choosing instead to continue on their patrol route like normal. However, its only a few seconds later that Ruriko simply... Pauses, staring into space for a moment. Though Damon can't tell what's going on, its clear that the interruption is doing nothing but annoying her. Her mood drops a bit as the girl starts back up, frequently glancing down at her ring Ruriko: "This town's such a pain really. Good hunting but a lot of hassle to go with it." Capri Sayaka's smile drops a bit as she breathes out a sigh, nervously toying with her sleeve a bit as she replies Sayaka: "Um... Yeah, I guess... I've.. Got a lot of things to go through. But at least I'm going somewhere." Sayaka forces a grin near the end, but its clear she's trying if nothing else. Still, the girl breathes out a sigh and looks off to the side for a moment. Sayaka: "Anyways. I think I've gotta... Continue looking. Um.. Yeah, thanks for all the help earlier. I still need to find that other girl." Kohaku Kyubey simply takes a second to clean himself, briefly glancing up at Kohaku as he does so. Kyubey: "I'm not anyone's familiar. If anything I'm the creature your idea of a familiar was likely based on. But you're right about one thing." Kyubey stands back up, looking out into the city before he tells Kohaku Kyubey: "In just a few days the strongest Witch in history is likely to emerge in this city. When that happens its likely everyone within will be consumed, maybe even more past that. Unlike Sayaka and Sonomi, you still have the option of running away. So I thought you might appreciate knowing." Kyubey takes a few steps back onto the roof as he awaits Kohaku's reply.
*Pri nods.* Right. T-then I w-wish you luck in finding m-miss... erm... T-The other lady, Miss Sayaka. *Pri slowly takes a step backwards. "Can I leave now? No monster going to turn the street into another maze?"*
............. I see... She looks down in thought, over the city. ...... I should probably run shouldn't I? Even if I did come and try to help, I'd probably just get in the way anyway huh? And die for no reason...
{As the room before her reverts back to it's original state, Sonomi feels more calm and relaxed. Since that is the case, she goes ahead and transforms back into her normal clothing as well, turning towards Suzuki and smiling at her.} "Heh, I'm glad you think so, Suzuki-chan! My friend helped me get on the right track after all." {In the case that she does ask anything about Asena, Sonomi decides to try and...not use her magical powers just yet. Instead, she just makes her smile even brighter and asks a question in hopes that she gets to just go along with it.} "Say, you wouldn't mind to get to know her, right? They're really cool and smart, just like you."
What makes you think that I don't already have one? Damon innocently asks. They walk a little further as a team until Ruriko stops. Damon curiously looks to her and notes the jaded tone in her words. He can't help, but wonder why she puts up with so much responsibility and makes this line of inquiry obvious in his next question. Hey Ruri-chan, what makes this town so worth your protection? Can't you just hunt somewhere else with nicer buildings and less dangerous girls?
The girls follow along after Suzuki, merely absently nodding to the Incubator as they observe her. Madoka does take a little bit, but after staring at the book for a few moments she manages to recall what it was... That same thing the girl had been reading in her shop, quite some time ago. M: "Hmm, that book again. Geez, she's really had it for a while I guess." H: "You've seen it before? News to me, but I guess it wasn't worth mentioning till now." Madoka nods to Homura at that remark, it really wasn't a thing she had thought about before this moment and seeing the book again. Either way for now they keep on following after Suzuki. M: "Yeah, though I did tell you about that trip..." H: "Right, her shop. I wonder if that has anything to do with what's going on in... Whatever the hell she's planning. Anyway, let's just keep our eyes open for now."
(edited by Madoka-Kaname)
Homura and Madoka As Suzuki gets her schoolbooks together, the older girl growls at her, holding the Suzuki's manga close enough to get a good look at it yourself Older Girl: "Is this what you're so busy with you can't even watch where you're going?" Suzuki: "P.. Please give it back." Older Girl: "Answer my question!" The older girl closes the book hard as she takes a closer look at Suzuki. A few seconds later a realization dawns on her Older Girl: "Hey, you're the new transfer right? Heard you got kicked out of your last school." Suzuki: "That's not.. Just give me my book back!" Older Girl: "Or what? You gonna go psycho on me too?" The other girl looks down at Suzuki for a few tense seconds. One paying enough attention might notice Suzuki's fist clenching around her pencil. Its no weapon, but its still sharp enough. One could tell that much even from this distance..... Before Suzuki can do anything a third voice sounds out from the other side of the hallway ???: "Hey Arisa, don't you have anything better to do than making fun of the new kid." A third girl with long, dark purple hair that seems to naturally curl out towards the end, despite her best efforts to tame it, strides across the hallway, interrupting the other two. Arisa: "Kurumi? That underclassmen started it. She ran into me and hasn't even apologized." Kurumi: "Is that true?" The newcomer looks down at Suzuki, who finally relaxes. Rather than saying anything the younger girl slowly nods. Kurumi: "Well then you really ought to say you're sorry. Come on now." The Kurumi helps to pull Suzuki up as Arisa watches. The younger girl takes a moment to gather her courage before she manages a quiet apology Suzuki: "S.. I'm sorry for running into you Arisa-senpai." Kurumi: "There, now you can return her book and we can all get to class." Arisa clicks her tongue in annoyance, but has no more objections. The girl begrudgingly holds out Suzuki's manga for the younger girl to take back. With everything settled Kurumi grabs the other two in a quick hug. Kurumi: "And now we can all be friends, isn't that right?" Arisa: "Don't get so close to me weirdo." Arisa quickly pushes out of Kurumi's grasp before heading on her way, leaving a very confused young Suzuki behind her. Kurumi: "Don't mind Arisa too much, she's probably just jealous. Anyways, I'd probably better get going." Kurumi lets go of Suzuki, giggling a little as she turns away to head for their next class Suzuki: "Um.. T. Thanks, Kurumi-Senpai." Kurumi briefly turns around upon hearing Suzuki's voice, before flashing the younger girl a smile and waving. If Madoka and Homura cared to, they might notice a glint of silver on the older girl's left hand. A familiar ring that Suzuki was missing Kurumi: "Just Kurumi's fine. I'm not much of one for formalities." Suzuki remains standing for a few more seconds, her manga clutched close to her chest. But soon the area simply fades away for now, leaving just Madoka, Homura, and Kyubey. Kyubey: "That's about where the story starts. Her first time meeting Kurumi." Kyubey sits down again, cleaning one of his front paws as he mentions Kyubey: "I'll let you choose where we go next. What is it that you want to know now?"
Sonomi The edge of Suzuki's mouth curls up into a slight smile, commenting as she pours herself a cup of tea Suzuki: "Sounds like you have some good friends. Everyone needs something to fight for." Suzuki lets out a sigh, casting a forlorn glance into her steaming tea before taking a sip Suzuki: "I suppose it would be nice to meet them. After all I ought to get an idea of who else is influencing my young prodigy." Damon Ruriko looks down for a moment, her hands in the pockets of her large hoodie, as she scoffs Ruriko: "Oh please, none of the losers here can beat me. 'Cept maybe that blonde brat's teacher." The girl lets out a sigh, looking wistfully towards one of the nicer parts of town as her usual cocky smile fades away once more. Ruriko: "What were your parents like? Were they one of those super soft and loving couples you hear of on TV? Or were they harsh, insistent that you 'follow the family tradition' like your entire life should be laid out for you." Capri Sayaka waves to the girl as they go their separate ways Sayaka: "A.. Alright, right I'll leave you be. Good luck, and thanks again!" As Capri goes home, a little bit more nervous after their last encounter. After all, nothing good had ever come from them before. Fortunately, nothing jumped out at her on her way home. Overall it wasn't such a bad day. Kohaku Kyubey: "It makes no difference to me." The heartless creature makes a cold comment, accompanied by what almost seemed to be a sigh. But it must have simply been a deeper breath. Either way Kyubey would head back onto the main rooftop as he comments Kyubey: "But weren't you the one who said the difference between a hero and a viillain is choice? You can choose to be a coward, probably live a few days longer that way. Or you can try. It'll probably be pointless of course. But its not my place to question the choices of other sentient beings."
{Sonomi goes along with the subject as she ought to, seeing as how she brought it up herself so there’s no way she was about to change it right now. Besides, she does like talking about her significant other, so her smiled are genuine as she speaks.} ”She sure is! Her name’s Asena. She’s very important to me because I always need a voice of reason. Otherwise I’d get myself killed sometimes. They even met Kyubey once. I feel like you two would get along fine.” {She says without hesitation, almost as if she’s starting to open up to her mentor figure more casually now then trying to get some sudden reactions out of her. Since her other two friends say that she shouldn’t waste her powers so much, she takes a gamble and goes on her own a bit longer without any crutches.} ”That being said, we all start somewhere, right? Who was an important figure in your life Suzuki-Chan? Was it a mentor, or maybe a fellow classmate?”
I know. Running away was never really an option anyway. I just wanted to hear what you thought about it. ..... I may not be a friend.. but the least I can do is lend my hand. Do you know where Akemi-senpai and... Kaname-san are? If not, Miki-senpai will do too. Actually, if you can, I'd like to know where all three are. She stands up and dusts off her outfit.
The girls would stare on quietly for a while, this is rather curious but not too revealing about what exactly drives Suzuki to such... Intriguing ideas as she seems to have reached in the present day. H: "I guess I'm sort of curious why exactly she reached the path of a self-proclaimed demon lord, I'm sure this is somehow vaguely related to whatever mess that is but yeah. Focus on events that contributed to that..." M: "Sounds about right to me, I guess. Almost hoping some insight can help us reason with her but if that fails then... Well I'm not going to just roll over and die." Neither of them really trusts the Incubator, not at all. But it doesn't really benefit the damn thing and its oh so logical views to try and stab them in the back here by Homura's viewpoint. As for Madoka, she sounds a bit grimly determined while pondering what may come, either way their next destination is stated.
Damon gets a far away look in his eyes. He momentarily pauses before responding. My parents were neither, they were the sort to ignore me completely. Ah but before you get the wrong idea I didn't care cuz that gave me tons of time to dream ~ He grins. Why so curious about me now? Thought you wished me gone missy.
Homura and Madoka “You should know full well that I’m incapable of understanding what drives you humans. It’s what I’d consider our biggest weakness.” Kyubey’s tail swishes back and forth as the white creature hangs its head down “All I can do is guess. You’re the only ones who know what being a demon lord would mean to you humans.” Kyubey gives the pair a moment to think before he moves on “If you don’t have an answer now then it’s a bit of a long story. Still, I think you know where this is going.” The scene shifts around the pair again, bringing them back to the school. This time they’re in a hallway on the upper floors. There are a few students still around, mostly club members on the way to their own activities. However, anyone who looked out the window can see that most of the student body is headed home for the day, leaving behind those in clubs or otherwise simply slow. As for the subject of the moment. It takes a few seconds before the pair hear the slow, steady tap... tap... tap... of someone coming up the staircase. Soon the young Suzuki, with her books nowhere in sight, emerges from the staircase below. Suzuki looks to be in a trance, paying no heed to the other students, nor they to her. One of the remainders looks away from their own conversation, as if checking out a strange new attraction, but none of them say anything. None of them notice the faint, blue marking on the back of her left hand that looks like a key. A mark that wasn’t there before. A sign that almost seemed to drag her towards the roof Sonomi Suzuki: “oh? So Kyubey was interested in them as well? They must be rather unique then...” Suzuki lets out a sigh, brushing a few hairs out of her face. She seems a bit distracted today, but she keeps it together for now Suzuki: “I’m afraid I’ve never been much of a social butterfly. That’s why my students, you and Risako, are so important to me.” Damon Ruriko: “H.. Hey, don’t try to make it weird! I mean.. I never really said that.” Ruriko bursts out to defend herself? The girl shakes her head, as if scolding herself before speaking up anyways Ruriko: “I mean... I don’t really have many other friends anyways.” The brown-haired girl blushes a little as she nervously tugs on her sleeve before she continues Ruriko: “it’s uh... well... I ended up running away from home myself. But I can’t seem to bring myself to go all the way y’know? So I guess that’s kinda why I’m stuck here.” Kohaku Kyubey turns back around to Kohaku. Though it’s expression is blank as ever, something about it almost seems to grin. Kyubey: “I’m currently talking to misses Akemi and Kaname in their apartment right now. As for miss Miki she’s currently out looking for another Magical Girl she’s had trouble with. It’s nice to see you’ve made your choice. That’s what being sentient is about after all.”
"I like Kyubey, but I feel like he's not the type to like...anyone, back. Do you talk to him? Asena saw him and they talked a bit." {At this point, she was more focused on trying to be on good terms with Suzuki like she always likes to be with her other friends. Noticing how her mentor was feeling a bit off today, Sonomi uses her mind powers a bit while trying to level with the girl.} "And also, I know we've only been communicating for a bit, but I just want to get to know you better, you know? I can't wait to learn more from you too!"
........... Where's Miki-senpai? She's all alone. Akemi-senpai and Kaname-senpai are together.. they don't really need me. And I can't help them. ....... Maybe... I can help Miki-senpai...
Yay missus Ruriko and I are confirmed friends! Damon shouts with unadulterated glee before he sobers up to address Ruriko's current plight. With a slight tilt of his head he asks. So were you parents the bad kind Ruri-chan or was home just never ideal for you?
The pair of girls just nods, of course it can't understand people. It's a cold heartless crime against nature that'd gladly send children with no clue to their deaths after all. As for what's going on now though, they're quite aware of where its heading towards yes. There's no missing what a mark like that means. H: "Witch's Kiss huh, yeah I think I have a pretty good guess on this one." M: "Ugh, those things are awful... I sort of feel bad for her really..." Homura just shrugs at that remark and keeps moving after the girl, she doesn't have nearly as much sympathy to spare as her friend after all. For now though, both go quiet again.
Madoka and Homura Kyubey: "There's no reason to be sad. In some ways this is the best thing to happen to her." Kyubey comments as the group follows the young Suzuki to the roof. Suzuki was never going to notice them of course, simply muttering to herself as she heads for the edge. However, about halfway across the area begins to change. The rooftop itself remains mostly the same, though it almost seems to stretch on forever. The biggest change is the skyline, no longer the city they'd become used to, the clouds shift from a pleasant white to an almost painful series of technicolor shapes against a massive city that too seems to go on forever. As Suzuki approaches one edge. The girl.. Seems to stir a little, as if she'd just noticed where she ended up. Suzuki spins around, eyes wide and blinking as she tries to take everything in. However, she wouldn't have long to think before a trio of smaller creatures appeared. They almost seemed to form from the rooftop itself. The creature, familiar, lacks what would be considered most of a body, they have curved, steel rods that act as legs leading up into a pair of spotted pants before continuing through to what would best be described as a hand sticking out of the end of a sleeve, with no full body in sight. each of the three hands carries a full set of identical rings. The creatures rush Suzuki, driving the girl further towards the edge of the roof. These familiars make some.. strange noises in their own, strange tongue as Suzuki is pushed back, her heel hitting the lip of the rooftop. Just as the other girl was about to be pushed over, a red whip strikes through the three familiars before coiling back into the hands of its owner. Kurumi: "There, see? Everything's fine!" Its the older, purple-haired girl from earlier. Her outfit changed to a dark pattern of reds and purples that sticks to the girl closely, her left hand holding a similarly-colored whip that coils around her right as if it had a mind of its own. Accompanying the girl is a second Kyubey, this one from the memory, who remains near Kurumi's legs MKyubey: "It looks like you were able to save someone at least. But don't lose focus." Kurumi: "Right, I just have to keep the kid safe right? You make sure she doesn't jump off herself or anything." Suzuki simply watches the pair in awe, her eyes brightening as the truth of what happened dawns on her. Kurumi looks back over the rooftop while Kyubey takes a look back to notice Suzuki MKyubey: "Actually, it looks like she's still lucid." Kurumi: "She's in a barrier, shouldn't she be entranced or something?" Kurumi looks back to Suzuki, who immediately looks down, like she's trying to avoid her senior's gaze. Kurumi simply laughs before covering her face with her hand Kurumi: "oh man we're totally busted. Shouldn't these outfits have come with masks or something?" Kurumi and the others wouldn't have long before a few more familiars emerge from the barrier, forcing the Magical Girl to cut them down once more. MKyubey: "There's nothing we can do about it now, you'll have to take care of the Witch first." Kurumi: "Right, right. Stay right there kid, It'll be over with quickly." With that, the memory fades away again, leaving Madoka, Homura, and the Kyubey who accompanied them alone. The small white creature stretches for the moment Kyubey: "That's how I met Suzuki for the first time, and she ended up joining this world of ours after all. Now, there are only a few more memories left."
Sonomi Suzuki: "That creature? He's.. Helpful, at times but they're very clearly following their own agenda. They're not really much of one for casual conversation, but we keep in touch." Suzuki lets out a sigh, looking at the empty ceiling for a time, lost in thought. The girl gives an absentminded smile. we don't have much longer to wait, do we? Ordinarily Suzuki would have noticed her thoughts being read, but as Sonomi noticed, she seemed too distracted to pay attention to something like that. Suzuki clicks her tongue as she looks back at Sonomi, her smile having faded entirely Suzuki: "I'm afraid we don't have much time for that." Suzuki lets out another sigh and looks down this time, staring through the white void of the floor Suzuki: "Its only a few more days until the ultimate witch arrives, and you'll need to be in top condition before then." and then we'll finally be able to rest. Damon Ruriko crosses her arms with a huff, turning away from Damon as she does so Ruriko: "Are you always this annoying? You're not supposed to shout out crap like that for everyone to hear." Ruriko taps her foot impatiently for a few seconds as she tries to think of a way to phrase it. Before long she simply lets out a sigh and says Ruriko: "They weren't like, jerks or anything. They just wanted me to follow in the family tradition. Y'see my family's been serving the Kohiyo's since feudal times. And since I'm their only kid it means a lot to them for me to keep up the tradition." Ruriko laughs to herself before looking at Damon with a grin Ruriko: "I mean seriously, can you imagine me patiently waiting on some rich brat's every whim?" Kohaku Kyubey: "She's currently in the Sakae district running after another Magical Girl. She's not in any danger if that's what you were wondering." Kyubey stretches his front paws forward like a cat before sitting straight up once more and looking at Kohaku Kyubey: "If you'd like I could lead you to her, just to make sure you don't end up missing them."
"That's interesting...I hear him being portrayed like that most of the time..." {Sonomi says, laughing nervously as her mentor stays distracted at other things and turning off her powers then and there before she stepped into risky territory. It's never good to be there, so instead, she decides to brighten up more.} "Nevertheless, don't worry Suzuki-chan! You can guarantee I won't let myself get offed by some meanie like that! I'll do just fine, for your sake of course. Wouldn't want you to be disappointed in me."
.... Maybe I could... ...... At the very least I can keep an eye on her for Kaname-senpai and Akemi-senpai... Lead me please. She stands up and prepares to follow Kyubey.
Damon faces Ruriko with an unusually serious expression. No. I bet you would be the death of the brat in under a day. I could help you cover the body though so we would be good for fleeing to Mexico. Damon gives her a thumbs up. His gaze then strays to the srurrounding neighborhood and he vocally ponders. Normally two people walking around all innocent like would be triggering some death flags right about now. Maybe this is the start of our first love crusade or maybe karma will get us~
Madoka and Homura The next memory is a short transition, back to the school rooftop the same day as before, only with the sky cleared and the Witch defeated. Suzuki is sitting by one corner of the roof, curled into a ball as she waits for everything to be over with, Kyubey sitting by her as if watching over the girl. Kurumi is still in her Magical Girl outfit, having just defeated the creature, Suzuki's senpai lands upon the roof with grace, confidently displaying the reward for her conquest, a black gem the likes of which Madoka and Homura had seen dozens of times before. Kurumi: "There we go, piece of cake like I promised." Kyubey: "That took you nearly ten minutes, almost twice the time it usually takes." Kurumi: "W.. Well I kept looking back for ya and all that..." Kurumi awkwardly comes up with excuses while Suzuki simply watches. The younger, silver-haired girl mutters something under her breath, but it doesn't come out as anything intelligible. Still, Kurumi notices, cupping a hand to her ear and leaning in towards Suzuki Kurumi: "Mind repeating that? Quiet as a mouse over there." Suzuki: "I.. Sorry. I always seem to be causing you trouble." Kurumi: "Oh don't worry about that, its that monster's fault, not yours." Suzuki: "No.. I mean..." Suzuki awkwardly shifts back and forth a little before looking back up at Kurumi Suzuki: "I couldn't do anything with the bully earlier. And now I was just holding you back... There's nothing I can do..." Kyubey: "That's not true. You can always form a contract with me and become a Magical Girl yourself." The unfortunately familiar white creature interjects, though it seems like he's reassuring Suzuki, Madoka and Homura are more than familiar with his methods. Suzuki looks up with a start, before shaking a little Suzuki: "I'm.. Not sure if someone like me would be helpful.." Kyubey: "I can already tell you'd be a much more talented Magical Girl than she is, so..." Kyubey is interrupted by the crack of Kurumi's whip, which causes both Suzuki and Kyubey to jump. Kurumi lets out a sigh, withdrawing her weapon once more with a smile. Kurumi: "We don't need you putting weird thoughts in the girl's head just after she's been through something traumatic. Here, come on." Kurumi kneels beside Suzuki, softly touching the other girl's cheek to look directly into their eyes. Kurumi: "Look, you don't need to think about repaying me or anything alright? I'm just glad I was able to help you, not once but twice now!" Suzuki: "That's just it...." Suzuki pulls away, looking off and into the ground as she mumbles Suzuki: "I'm.. Not at all like you. You're so brave, and cool, and.. I couldn't fight anything like that..." Kurumi simply laughs, a relieved laughter as if she was expecting much worse. Suzuki refuses to look up at the older girl, blushing a little as she looks off the roof Kurumi: "Think of it like that manga you're into. I think everyone has their own role to play, sure some of us go out fighting monsters and whatnot. But they're not the only ones, they still have people to fight for. So, maybe you could think of me like the hero or whatever, but you don't have to follow me." Suzuki: "Then what..." Kurumi smiles, letting Suzuki stop the question herself before answering. Kurumi: "You'll have to find that yourself. But still.." Kurumi stands up, finger on her chin as she thinks for a moment before she looks back down at Suzuki Kurumi: "Its kinda nice to have someone I can talk to about Witches and stuff. Maybe you could support me. At least until you've found your own path, we could just be friends."
Though Suzuki doesn't say anything, her eyes light up at the idea. A girl who'd had no friends being introduced to a world she'd so often dreamed about, and finding someone to look up to all the same... Kyubey: "But you can already guess what happened to Kurumi, can't you?" Madoka and Homura are jarred out of the memory once again by their own Incubator, the one who brought and showed them this world in the first place. Kyubey: "If you don't have any specific questions, there's only one memory left. But first, I have to ask. What is it that being a demon means to you?" Sonomi There's an almost pregnant silence as Suzuki simply stares into the floor, distracted as before. It takes a few seconds for her to say Suzuki: "Right, of course I wasn't. But.. There's a bit more to it I suppose." Suzuki fakes a smile as she looks up to Sonomi. Suzuki: "But its important for you to keep moving for your sake too. And Asena's. You can't afford to have any doubts." Damon Ruriko chuckles at the joke, though it seems almost pained, as if still aching at the reminder. Nevertheless Ruriko's ever-cocky grin returns as she remarks Ruriko: "Man, you wish! What's coming is so much worse than a Witch." As if on queue, the blonde-haired girl Damon might remember from his first visit to Suzuki's place, Risako comes around the corner. It doesn't take an empath to tell the girl is nervous, looking behind her back as if she was worried she'd be caught. Ruriko: "Its the brat I was talking about." Soon enough Risako would catch sight of Damon and Ruriko. She lets out a sigh of relief and runs towards the pair. Risako: "T.. There you are, I'm so glad I was able to find you." Ruriko: "Like there was somewhere for me to hide." Ruriko lets out an irritated sigh, clearly not enjoying the reminder of her old life. While Risako seems relieved to even be finding someone still alive. Though the girl is still shaky, and a bit scared, they've finally found someone it seems they can talk to. Kohaku Kyubey: "very well. I'm glad you've decided to see it through" Is all the small, white creature says before running off along the rooftops. Kohaku would have to follow him for a few minutes before they finally find Sayaka. The other girl hadn't really managed to accomplish much in their search, running through the streets in her regular school uniform. Sayaka stops at a street corner to catch her breath a little, giving an opportunity to talk if you wanted.
{The girl said towards her mentor, her legs inching ever so closer to show her signs of concern, but she steps back and breathes in before returning with a genuine and tired smile of her own.} "Of course, Suzuki-chan. I'll try my best! Can't have doubts when you're moving forward after all." {Instead of getting closer to Suzuki, Sonomi starts to head towards the door, stopping right by it like she did last time and turning her head back towards Suzuki.} "But I feel as if it's getting late. Must be a very calm day for us. I'll come back tomorrow though. See you soon again!"
Ruriko perhaps you should be a little nicer to this one. Damon emphatically states. He felt the anxiety of the girl before she even approached and now with her in front of him it is almost suffocating in the air. He would have shut his nose by now if it wouldn't be percieved as rude. Seems like she came through hell and back. Like she is even excited to see you and that must be so rare!
Thank you. Getting the Hint, Kohaku jumps into an Alley and de-transforms. Then, the short, sorta-chubby, middle schooler walks up to Sayaka. Ah.... ............ Just before speaking, She gets a look at her reflection in a shopping window. And her nervous smile fads. ... "Oh right... I haven't de-transformed in a while... Oh gods I forgot how ugly I am.." So this random, somewhat chubby, kinda Madoka-looking middle schooler walks up to Sayaka, clearly intending to speak to her, glances in the mirror, and starts getting depressed all by herself right next to the girl.
Homura would place a hand on her chin, what does being a demon mean. There's a ton of things she could say in reply to that, half recalled talks with a weapon seller who'd rant at length about various monsters if she asked, even smaller bits from a swordsman, but at the end of the day... H: "It's about what she thinks, isn't it? But to me... Being a Demon, as I believe she's saying it, is about tossing aside doing what you think is right or good in pursuit of one's own goals. I could be wrong, but that's my best guess right now." If that were the case, then Homura could no doubt relate to such a thing. Of course, that isn't relevant to her right now. All that matters is the slightly frowning pink-haired girl who just hugs her friend a bit and speaks softly while they walk. M: "That's... I haven't got any better guess, and we should talk about this all alone later, too..." With their bit said, the pair of girls would simply keep on moving to the last memory while leaning against each other.
Madoka and Homura Kyubey: "That seems to be as good a guess as any. Historically the term demon has been used to refer to evil supernatural beings. Sometimes in a literal sense but more commonly acting more indirectly, such as by possession." Kyubey paces absentmindedly as he lectures? the pair. Its almost as if he simply started going off on the subject himself Kyubey: "Of course it depends on where you come from, but typically these demons are just another word for a Witch, their 'possessed' victims being affected by a Witch's curse. But I suppose I'm drifting off topic. All the previous memories simply led up to this one after all. Suzuki's wish." With that the white void of memory fades away again, leaving Madoka and Homura to watch as the world descends into madness again. Its dark for a few seconds, the white creature who accompanied the pair having disappeared entirely, but in a moment the space brightens up. Brightens up, in a word. The area almost seems designed to distract and hurt one's eyes, the walls? constantly shifting and changing between all the colors of the rainbow, a chaotic mess as a labyrinth unfolds around them. However, even for a labyrinth it seems utterly incoherent. There's no discernible theme, or rather the theme changes so quickly one can hardly identify it, switching from a schoolhouse, to a hospital. The floor vanishes for a second as they fly to the sky only to reappear as an old-fashioned dojo. The one anchor against all this turmoil is a single, young girl with long silver hair, who simply sits back, as if trying to process the chaos around her. Suzuki: "K.. Kurumi-senpai?" The girl asks, tears forming around the edges of her eyes. Of course no response is given, not from Kurumi anyways, and they'd likely never answer again. But the same was not true of Kyubey, who seems to appear from nowhere to respond. Kyubey: "She can't hear you anymore. Its too late for words to mean anything." Suzuki turns around, surprised by the white creature's sudden appearance. Still stunned, she can only think to ask. Suzuki: "K.. Kurumi-senpai. What.. What did you do?" Kyubey: "I didn't do anything to her. Its just part of the deal. All Magical Girls are eventually consumed by the curses that gather in their soul gems, turning into a Witch and creating a barrier like the one you see before you." As Kyubey speaks another creature appears, either scuttling along or uncovered by the shifting walls. It most closely resembles a chameleon, with small beady eyes covered by thick eyelids that allow their eyes full range of movement, eyes that dart around everywhere, yet never seem to find anything. Its body shifts as rapidly as its barrier, changing colors to replay pictures of whatever the viewer wanted most at the time. For Homura it would doubtlessly be moments she's been able to spend alone with Madoka, while Madoka may find scenes with her other friends mixed in as well. Suzuki stares at the creature for a few seconds as Kyubey continues Kyubey: "Its simply how the universe works. Now for every person she blessed as a Magical Girl, she'll curse two more as a Witch. And so the universe remains balanced." Suzuki: "S.. Kurumi-senpai would never want that..." Kyubey: "You're right, she probably wouldn't. But right now there aren't any other Magical Girls around that can stop her."
Madoka and Homura cont. Suzuki swallows nervously as she watches the Witch. The girl clenches her fist, taking a deep breath before confronting the creature Suzuki: "Y... You were expecting this, weren't you?" Kyubey: "I was aware of the possibility of course. As things are Kurumi will probably be able to make a good portion of the city her playground before someone else who can face her shows up... Of course, we don't have to wait." Kyubey starts to pace circles around Suzuki, his eyes looking into the girl as he goes Kyubey: "I've said it before. If you were to make a contract with me you'd be far stronger than Kurumi was." Suzuki: "But.. Then I'd just become one of those monsters myself." Kyubey: "You're not wrong. You'd essentially be taking Kurumi's burden onto yourself. Cursing others as a Witch." Suzuki takes a moment to think about her options before she breathes out a sigh. The girl straightens herself up as if readying for a life-changing speech, which in a way she was. Suzuki: "I... Understand. If my soul was always black, then its only fair for one to dye my body black as well. So, if that is to be my role, then dress me in the darkened Curse of a Witch" Kyubey simply stares at Suzuki for a moment, before simply shaking its head Kyubey: "You're.. Going to have to be a lot clearer if that's supposed to be your wish. Simply let me know what you want most, more than everything else in the world, and I'll grant it." Suzuki lets out a sigh, dropping her little theatric to simply ask Suzuki: "Very well, my wish is this. I wish to hold onto the curses, not just of Kurumi but the corrupted wish that ruined the lives of all these heroic girls. Grant me not the power of hope, but the power to curse others with misery." With that, the memory fades away, leaving Madoka, Homura, and Kyubey back into Madoka and Homura's living room, where the memory wandering had all began. Kyubey: "Its an unusual wish for sure. I've actually never had someone wish to be cursed before." The white creature doesn't seem willing to meet Homura or Madoka's eyes, instead choosing to gaze out their windows, or at one of their decorations, whatever the case may be.
Sonomi Suzuki: "I.. Suppose you're right. We'll need to rest up when we can after all. Good luck, and remember to be careful." Suzuki would remind Sonomi much like some overly concerned mother. Still, she wouldn't do anything to try to stop Sonomi, being mostly lost in thought. Suzuki wouldn't even watch Sonomi. Letting the girl choose to leave as promised. Or she could try to investigate the apartment building. After all it was always strangely empty. But perhaps she simply liked it this way. Damon Risako: "Eh? Was.. I mean.. I wasn't trying.." Ruriko: "Yes, it was that obvious." Ruriko laughs for a moment, her mood lifted a bit, only for Damon to bring up her own.. Personal thing for Risako to giggle at. Risako: "So.. I mean.. You've been lonely then?" Ruriko: "Hey, you two are putting words in my mouth!" Risako: "But you haven't driven him away yet." Ruriko: "That doesn't... Why are you here anyways?" The mood lightens up a bit as Ruriko is left crossing her arms and looking away from the others. Not really wanting to be poked fun at any more but at least willing to listen to her junior. As for Risako she actually seems to be the most relaxed Damon would have ever seen her, despite the troubling matter she had come for Risako: "R... Right. I um.. Found something a little disturbing and. I wasn't really sure who to talk to..." Ruriko: "Don't you have that teacher of yours? Seems like she'd be the first place to go." Risako: "T... That's the problem... I was... Looking around a bit. I simply, had a bad feeling so I decided to look at the rest of her building when I found one of those.. Things." Ruriko: "Just say its a Witch. That really shouldn't be a problem. We're kinda made to fight those things." Kohaku Sayaka doesn't notice the odd girl who appeared next to her at first, but soon she'd notice some other, strange girl staring into a mirror like she was having some sort of crisis. Her first instinct is to look at the back of their neck, but they showed to be perfectly fine. In that regard at least. Sayaka: "Uh, hey. You goin' somewhere in particular? Seems like ya came out of nowhere huh?" The girl scratches the back of her head somewhat awkwardly, having not expected this sort of distraction. Not now at least.
{As she waited for the other girl's reply, her eyes simply scanned around the whole apartment building they were in, since Sonomi thought that snooping around directly would be considered rude. When Suzuki wished her farewell, Sonomi almost didn't hear it until she snapped out of her unintentional trance.} "Of course. I hope to see you tomorrow!" {She said happily, waving towards her mentor before exiting the room, being careful to not slam the door seeing as how she seemed a bit off.}
The pair stares blankly for a while, just watching things come to a close. Eventually Homura speaks up, quietly while clenching her fists. H: "... So that's what she meant by a demon, huh? I'm not all that shocked, but good god. Who wishes for something like that?" It's mostly a question needing no answer, and Madoka only shrugs blankly while hugging the other girl. Speaking again after a few seconds. M: "I... Well we can guess but knowing for sure is tricky. Something has to be done though, right Homura?" H: "Mmm, so it seems. And I'm surprised by how quiet you got Kyubey, anyway that was enlightening a bit so I guess we can't complain too much."
Uh!.. em.... She panics, looking flustered and habitually sliding her hands down a strand of hair, as if straightening it. I'm.. uh.. My name's Kohaku... Ka-.. Um.. Kohaku. I was.. the girl in pink.. who.. interrupted you yesterday.. during your.. er.. make up with Nee-.. Kaname-senpai.. I'm.. I was wondering if maybe you wanted help.. in some way.. in any way..
Soooo what happened after you found the witch? Sensing that Risako had calmed put Damon off guard, but the content of the conversation certainly piqued his interest. Was your good old sensei unavailible for comment?
Homura and Madoka Kyubey: "Right.. I was just thinking. Is all. Anyways. Its not really my place to judge a person's wish. Our role is simply to seek out those with potential, and grant it." Kyubey looks back at Homura and Madoka before stepping down, pacing around the room a bit as it continues Kyubey: "Anyways, Suzuki's 'Ultimate Witch' is supposed to be here in almost a week. You'll want to settle things with her before then." Kyubey would wait a moment, giving the other two a chance to ask any questions they might have, before simply turning a corner and disappearing, the same way he had arrived. Damon Ruriko: "Yeah, this really sounds like something you should be asking that other chick." Ruriko crosses her arms and lets out a sigh as she looks down at the younger, blonde girl. Risako begins to shake a little again as she remembers what she saw. Risako: "Um.. That's.. The issue is.. Well, I.. Think she was trying to hide it. I found it in her apartment building and.. There hasn't been anyone else there in a long time. I'm thinking.. Well I wanted to talk to her but I'm not sure its a good idea. She's been acting strange lately..." Ruriko: "Oh you just noticed? Still don't see what this has to do with me. Or him for that matter. " Ruriko nods to Damon, as a sort of reminder to both of them that he's still there. Risako seems to shrink for a second as she asks. Risako: "Well.. I just... I was hoping you might be able to come with me? I.. That creature was much stronger than any Witch I've ever seen. So I didn't want to go by myself... And our families have..." Ruriko: "Not a chance." Ruriko just lets out another sigh, her fist tightening a bit as she lets out another irritated sigh. Kohaku Sayaka looks at Kohaku with a bit of concern, before letting out a jovial laugh Sayaka: "Sorry about all that trouble. I hardly even recognized ya. Guess this makes our first real meeting then. Name's Sayaka Miki." Sayaka reaches out to shake Kohaku's hand before letting out a sigh as she looks up towards the sky Sayaka: "I don't think so. Unless you're in touch with a girl with brown hair and a bad attitude. Sometimes I forget how big this place is haha."
She looks a little disappointed, though trying to hide it. I.. don't know anyone like that.. I don't really know anyone much to be honest... ...... But! I can help you look for them if you'd like. I'm good at sneaking around and going fast! What do they look like? Or their name?
The girls are quiet for a while, simply pondering something as Kyubey goes on before Homura speaks up again. H: "A week huh, I don't guess that witch happens to be Walpurgisnacht... That would be unfortunate." That's our last question though." As Homura speaks that name Madoka would grip onto her tighter, face paling while the black haired girl runs a hand through her friend's hair. After the incubator leaves, they'd talk among themselves for a bit. M: "I... We have to do something, right? Yeah definitely." H: "... If you really want to then okay, I'll help. You already know I'm not in this for the good of the world though. I'd be fine running away with you, too." Madoka just sighs a bit at that, she has gotten used to it. But there is the nagging feeling that maybe dragging Homura into this isn't the best thing to do. She won't just back down though, and there isn't any question of if the other girl will help her. For the moment though the pair simply sets about making dinner and smiles at each other. There's work to be done, but they'd rather take a moment and relax before risking their lives once again.
Madoka and Homura Kyubey: "Yes and no. It depends on what you mean by 'Walpurgisnacht'." Kyubey pauses to answer the pair, sitting up on his front paws while his tail flicks back and forth behind him Kyubey: "The amalgamation of Witches known as 'Walpurgisnacht' does not exist in this world. However, its mantle as bringer of calamities has been passed on to other entities over time. Such as the Sins, Nyarlathotep, or the Keeper you may remember as Nexus of Serenity." Kyubey pauses for a moment to lick his paw before finishing. Kyubey: "While the witch in question doubtlessly won't become the amalgamation known as 'Walpurgisnacht', it is entirely capable of evolving into the latter kind of threat, which in some ways is far worse." With that cheerful note, Kyubey leaves the pair, allowing them to finish their day and prepare however they wished. Kohaku Sayaka lets out a bit of a laugh, waving for Kohaku to calm down a little before she lets out a sigh Sayaka: "I uh... Never actually got to the name part. But I mean how hard can it be to find another Magical girl right? Anyways she's uh.. Got this long brown hair, and they're kinda short. Usually wear this light purple stuff?" She clearly hadn't thought this through very well, if at all. Still the older girl was... Trying at least, bringing her arm to around her neck to indicate the other girl's height Sayaka: "Yeah, not much to go on I guess. But still I'll keep at it a little bit longer. You don't have to worry about it, what happens happens."
Damon doesn't even need to use his ability to recognize that Ruriko is annoyed. Not wanting to irritate the girl further he offers the next best thing. Himself. Your pleas for help have reached my barren heart! Damon gently clasps both of Risako's hands. I don't mind providing you with some company fair maiden! He looks to Ruriko and deadpans. If I die then remember the name of your noble knight miss.
I'll start looking then. Is there anything else I should know? Is she dangerous? Or hostile?
Damon Ruriko: "Eh?" Ruriko calls out in surprise, but she lets out another irritated sigh, letting it go rather than having to waste more effort on this conversation Ruriko: "Sure, suit yourself. Just don't come crying to me if it bites you." Risako looks up to Damon, surprised herself. Still, this was someone her teacher, Suzuki had introduced her too, and someone she seemed to trust, so it would probably be ok... Though it makes her a little anxious. The girl has to ask Risako: "I.. Is it ok??" Ruriko: "Just get going." Ruriko heads off for her own direction in a huff. Leaving Risako and Damon to their own devices. Risako leaves a bit of an awkward pause before repeating herself. With her expected Senpai gone, the girl just asks. Risako: "Is it ok?" Kohaku Sayaka's face drops into a bit of a grimace, delving into somewhat painful memories before saying Sayaka: "I uh... Kinda started it so I don't really know? I think you'd probably... Actually nevermind lets just forget all this even happened. huh?" Sayaka tries to simply laugh off Kohaku's concern. She wasn't really comfortable with dragging the younger kid into her own problems, and for now it seemed as if there was nothing to be done about it.
....... Kohaku's face falls, disappointed in her inability to help. Oh.. ok... .... Um... if there's.. anything I can do to help.. just say something... I'm not very good at... things... so I wanna get better. And.. well... it's kinda hard to get better when everyone's so much better than you y'know? Er... uh.. sorry.. I shouldn't be bothering you with my problems... If.. I can ever help... please let me...
Damon tilts his head to watch Ruriko go. It's fine. Don't worry, she will come back soon enough. Damon winks at Risako after he is done speaking and then he gently grabs one of her hands. Lead the way my princess~
