Ruined Lands sign up
So I haven't done any huge RPs in a long time, i figured i might as well do something, since i was given motivation in the discord server. I created my own battle system for it and everything. I'll go into more detail later, since im kinda tired rn, but pretty much your hp and magic are combined into one, as magic is the reason for life in the story im making, as well as having a revenge bar to make your attacks stronger if you've been attacked a lot. Idk how long this is gonna be tbh, it might be short and might be long, but i do wanna try something new. Just tell me here if youre interested bethese i need motivation to actually do this and if not a lot of people sign up im not gonna have motivation, also the title isnt complete as of yet this is a placeholder title, ill update it later but im sleepy.
I'm not really interested in doing anything that won't contribute to the character I have going so i'm gonna have to wait and see before I make any commitment

I'd like to know at least a little about the plot and setting beforehand.
I'm with Sunna on this one. Not really given anything to go on here. I assume you went over it with people on discord, but excluding a base setting and plot overview makes it difficult to promise anything. Plus it kinda feels inconsiderate of the forum-users outside your discord circle.
Just to save face, but he really didn't speak it with us so we're pretty much in the dark with it too. He did say he's tired and he's young so maybe he'll give something tomorrow, hopefully Can't say I'm very interested without knowing what it's about
Ok now that i'm awake i can actually talk about this. Plot is super simple, all it's really about is helping my water spirit character get to the bottom of what is causing his world to be destroyed, and bringing beauty back to empty, and desolated lands. Or you could just say ruined lands, like the current title is. Nothing too complicated, but still something you could make a story about. And i promised more info on the battle system, so here it is. Like i said, HP and magic, whatever type of magic it is, is combined into one meter. Everything runs on magic in this world, so that applies to the characters as well, despite not being from this world it still applies to you for reasons that'll be brought up through the story. Depending on wether you find your character to be a glass cannon, neutral, or a tank, you start out with 75, 100, or 125 energy. Energy is only the temporary name, should be able to come up with something more creative soon. Physical attacks will spend no energy whatsoever, and I'll base how much energy is used based on the persona system (miniscule, light, medium, heavy, massive) Miniscule is 1, light is 2, medium is 3, heavy is 4, massive is 5, double if its for a group. All not healing skills, like buffs or debuffs are 5 normally, 10 if its a group buff or debuff Healing in this world is a risk and reward situation, because a full heal will cost 15 energy, and a revive will cost 25. Its dangerous, but the question is if it's worth it. Dont worry though, you recover energy with every level up (won't be too often but just often enough that everyone would die), and getting to certain points in the world will also heal the party. Now, the Revenge system. If you ever played any of the Lisa games, it's kinda similar to the TP meter, but used differently. Getting hit will raise it a certain amount, and when it gets to 50% or 100%, you can use it to raise an attack 1 or 2 levels above it's normal damage level (use it on a light skill at 50%, it turns medium.) I put a lot of thought into it so i hope it holds up, if you have any suggestions to add to it go ahead.

I, Projekt Red, Wolf Hunter, smell wolves. Seriously though the system seems fine, I'm willing to give it a shot at least. Red'll be more of a glass cannon hunter type. Though I suppose I must ask if there's an actual idea in place for balancing the three character types with different hp amounts or if its just better to be a tank
Get ready for a bunch of "..." I have no problems with the system. Sophia is a zoner with a glass jaw, and fast...kind of. That's it with her. Red's questions are valid though. And also this character is meant to specialize in magic, so much so that her lifeline is basically her mana because her actual hp stat is trash, meaning magic barrier. Does that apply to her actual hp now that our hp is linked to our magic? How much would I even have?
Alright might as well address this. To balance it out, glass cannons have a high dodge rate, while tanks almost always get hit (lets say for now normal dodge rate is 20%, ill lower it if it seems too op, glass cannons have a 40%, and tanks have a pitiful 5%, if yall have any other ideas go ahead) If your character cant really dodge well, it'll just miss instead. And like i said, each character starts off with set energy that increases by 10 with each level up. Story reason would be that theres no real way to sustain life, so when my character summons you for help he also casts a spell to change your life force temporarily so that way you can be in that world without getting torn apart because of all the magic in the air. Hope that answers questions :)
