But it wasn't the Phantom Thieves that caused that..right? Weren't those just weird coincidences? It would truely be terrible if it was them. If they did exist and mental shut downs started happening..that would be awful

The Phantom Thieves did not cause them, but let's say a group like the Phantom Thieves popped up. That would mean they would have access to a metaverse-esque world/power. If that power did exist, someone not unlike Akechi could somehow obtain this power and cause mental shutdowns

That was a spoiler I didn't known but I was already on the right track to that. Akechi is kind of obvious since he's against the Phantom Thieves. And it does make Sense that someone could somehow obtain that power and cause that.

I can see the power going to people's heads and coruption and murder. But I can hope that at least one person does the right thing and isn't killed. It's like a 50/50 toss up. Also what is this, Futaba-con or something. Either way I like it.
