As for PQ2. I want there to be Goro. Because lightsaber rapier would get so much laughter out of SEES and the Investigation Team.

The only way I would get a Q2 is if they include everyone, from P1 to 5

It would be waaaaay too contrived to try and have a PQ2 that included all of the P3 and P4 characters from the same point in time that they came from in PQ. There's no way that that same exact plot is going to work more than once.

But if they're really going to have another contrived crossover with past character designs, they ought to at least change it up a little and use the characters and designs from P4A Ultimax. Those were actually really good and deserve more usage.

The P3 protag is dead, besides. They're gonna have to acknowledge that and stop using him in spinoffs eventually.

Unless Elizabeth resurrects him I guess, but that's it's own can of worms.

I don't want any P5 spin-off because the plot got wrapped up so nicely and...ugh. If there were to be a PQ2, I wouldn't want canonically dead characters to show up; no Door-kun, and no Akechi. Keep the characters true to themselves, and not whatever it was PQ did to Akihiko. Most of all, balance the gameplay so it's less of a complete joke to play thorugh. Keep the artstyle though, that shit was nice.

P5's plot got wrapped up nice, but I think they intentionally left the ending open wide for spinoffs. So they wouldn't have to start shoehorning and changing elements like they had to do when P4 got spinoffs.

Also I like PQ's whole "mid-game crossover" thing just because it gives us a chance to see canonically dead characters interact with other teams at the same relative point in their journey. Sure, the Shadow Operatives were cool, but so was seeing SEES and the Investigation Team, both right before their stories came crashing down, hanging out.

To be fair, Akechi died off-screen, and everyone knows you can never trust an off-screen death. His body was also never found. It wouldn't be as unreasonable to bring him back for spinoffs as it would be bringing back characters like Minato and Shinjiro (who both died unambiguously) a second time.

It'd be impossible to have Door-kun interact with the Phantom Thieves at all though, unless they just make it completely non-canon, which would be fine by me.

I mean if we're talking time travel extra-dimensional stories like Q was then anything is possible.

If it was a sequel spinoff like Arena, then it's impossible.

In terms of Akechi, you do have a point. I've discussed why him being revived would piss me off before, so I won't get into it here. If dead characters do show up, I'd like it to be in non-canon ways, so as to not drag down the plot of the mainline games. Like, if he were to show up in the inevitable P5 Arena, have him be the public's cognitive version of him or something. It's not actually Akechi, but he's still in the game. Or even better, have him do nothing in the story and only have pre-match dialogue and win quotes.

Actually speaking of cognitive version, I wonder how a P5 Arena would work at all. Since the Metaverse is kinda gone/returned to the collective unconsciousness/I dunno someone ask Mona. Would it be in the TV World again? Or would they ass-pull an excuse for the Metaverse to return like the Dark Hour?

Yeah true, if it's timeline effery shenanigans like PQ then anything goes I guess, but it would still be a pretty big stretch to bring back the P3MC and Shinjro a second time.

I'd like to see a more direct sequel-spinoff like Arena (though... maybe not a fighting game this time, pls atlus) to serve as a crossover between P5 and earlier entries.

It would be pretty cool to see the even older versions of past characters--all of the past SEES members would be adult members of the Shadow Operatives, and it'd be neat to see where the P4 characters ended up. Bonus points if P1/P2 finally make some actual appearances too.

God, seeing Tatsuya beat Narukami to a pulp would make me so happy. I'd like a fighting game though, I'm a big fan of P4AU.

I'd love to see Adachi absolutely butcher Akechi, snarky comments included.

I love Akechi but seconded, seeing Adachi talk smack to Akechi would actually be glorious. Goro would get totally bodied by a post-jail Adachi lol

I'd also really enjoy seeing Katsuya try to deal with the bunch of hooligans that are the Phantom Thieves. He got a mention in P5, make it happen atlus ;-;

Also am I the only one who can see Atlus justifying a P5 Arena with Haru's "friend" from the ending being Mitsuru? Because rich girls.
