One of my family members is a bad person. They think they're better than everyone else and intimidate all of us so it's hard to say anything. They've even done something I consider to be an unforgivable crime, though I'd rather not say what. They're living with us now and it doesn't look like that's going to change any time soon. They're old and have no money, and neither do we. What should I do? Is there anything I can do?

In reality, if your parents don't see them that way. Nothing will change. You need to talk to them

Sadly you can't pick your family.. but you should gather the whole family together and confront him about his actions. Only losers have to act intimidating and look down on others since it covers up their own insecurities.

Family is always a tough topic. No one's family is similar to another, and gernalization are easily made. Best bet is sadly communication. It's scary, but talking is the only way to "fix" the problem.
