"Eagle mentioned a Zio reading. Could that be related to any of the Phantom Thieves?"

Mona nods. "Yeah, Skull uses Zio skills. Joker can use them, too, though- depending on his Persona."

Questa is coiled around the railing, staring at the Arena's center.

"Sounds like him," Mona says with a laugh.

'Speaking of Skull, I'm getting a spike in energy at the Arena! I'll be there, but I won't be able to scan in battle like I need to. Especially with my elec weakness. I'll get as much data as I can up close before pulling back, though!'

As Suni and Hibki arrive, they see sparks of electricity in the center. A familiar masked figure: Skull, as the mask implies. Eagle already has Sphinx around her body. "I'm detecting that strange energy around him. It's like with Mona and Rei... keep your guard up!"

"Not going to be me," Suni mutters, casting Diarahan on himself.

Skull Charges his next attack.

God Hand takes out Suni in one blow. HP: 750/3000

Maziodyne only hits Hibki and Tarumi.

Eagle bursts out laughing as Skull glares at Hibki. "Nice one!"

Looks like the taunt worked.

A dark aura surrounds Skull as he casts God Hand... somehow? It takes him down to 1/3000 HP, but he isn't down... Either way, it's hitting Hibki for 2.5x the Colossal phys damage. Nobody's surviving that damage.

His last two attacks miss Questa due to his exhaustion.

Questa's attack hits Skull, doing 50 damage, but why is his health still not zero?

Eagle squints at Sphinx's wings. "That dark energy is visible now... is it taking damage for him?"

Skull can only act once this turn. It only hits Questa and Eagle, knocking down Eagle while Questa blocks. Once more!

Skull grips his head. He seems to be refusing to act, despite the dark aura appearing again.

Cover me while I sneak up behind him. *Hibki starts sneaking around Skull*

"Got it. Hey, idiot, think fast!" Questa jabs at his face, although barely misses.

Tarumi decides to put a Makarakarn around Hibki. Just in case.

Skull uses Maziodyne, only hitting Questa (who blocks it). He refuses to act again.

Attack Phase!

*Hibki is behind Skull now getting ready to jump him*

Questa uses Ziodyne. It is blocked, but it blinds Skull and distracts whatever the dark aura is. As Hibki strikes, Skull collapses, the aura not absorbing the damage in time.

Battle won! Rewards: 1 GXP, 1500 ¥

*Hibki gets out a rope and ties up Skull* That should keep him from escaping let's get him to the third eye hideout.

"Yeah, let's-" Eagle is interrupted as the dark aura returns. It bursts through the ropes and a screech causes everyone's vision to fade. By the time everything goes back to normal, Skull is long gone. Eagle summons Sphinx again. "I think Skull was taken through the Metaverse exit door... Whatever was controlling him probably saw what we did with Mona, and sent him back so we couldn't have him. He should be fine. I hope."

One question. Can we go to the phantom thieves world? I feel like that could give us an advantage.

"I... maybe. The door that takes you to your world was a bit altered a minute ago. Maybe if we can find a way to alter it again, the destination will change!" Eagle nods to herself and lets Sphinx vanish.

Ok. *Hibki walks over to Suni* You okay? That looked like a hard hit.

Suni wakes up and shakes his head. He casts Diarahan on everyone (one at a time, obviously). "I should be fine. Lightning is something I cannot handle. At least Questa was here, for lightning is her strength."

Do you know of any way to alter the exit door to enter the world of the phantom thieves?

"Even that is outside my knowledge. Yet there may be a way... Eagle, perhaps you can find something similar to that dark energy you mentioned?" Suni asks.

Eagle claps her hands together. "Oh, right! You know Labrynth Arcane? I've been sensing something familiar in there, and now I'm sure it's the energy that Skull was emitting!"

"Alright! Tarumi, I'm guessing you're coming with Suni and Hibki. To the clock tower we go!"

Location: Shadow Arena->Clock Tower

Eagle takes her seat on one of the gears, summoning Sphinx to get ready to support everyone. The green gem on the floor glows. "That should teleport you to the second floor!"

Eagle nods. "Pretty much. Good luck!"

In a flash of green light, the group is gone.

The second floor looks the same as the first. Up ahead is a fork in the path.

The group moves forward, eventually coming to a sea of spikes. Eagle quickly explains that they drain SP. There is a path leading through, although it is quite a bit of walking due to its twisty nature.

The path takes a while to traverse, but it's safe. Just as they get to the end, Shadows burst out!

Two Vampire Moths and a Rebellious Elephant appear.

Tarumi and Suni attack.

Suni hits Moth 2 (200/250), and Tarumi gets hit by his own attack as he strikes the elephant. The shot misses Moth 1.

Moth 1 misses Tarumi.

Moth 2 hits everyone with Mazionga. After knocking down Suni, it crits him. Ouch.

The Elephant hits Hibki.

Maragion misses Moth 2. Moth 1: 90/250 HP. Elephant: 200/300 HP

The party moves on after Suni heals everyone up. Ahead is another split in the path.

Going right brings them to a strange magic circle on the ground. Eagle says it's a teleporter of sorts- the main gimmick of this place.

The group is teleported to a new area. The stairs are in sight... but the spikes are everywhere. They'll have to damage SP to move forward, and no magic circles are in sight.

While losing SP is exhausting, at least they reached the stairs. As usual, there is a teleporter at the top.

The area is open, with a doorway at the end that has a curtain on it.

'This place just screams 'Hey, there's a boss ahead!' Those spikes put you at a disadvantage... should we pull back for now?'

"I see... anyway, I ranked out my persona! It now knows liftoma (a spell that can lift us off the ground to avoid those pesky spikes, and gentle wave! (Which is basically a spell that casts medium ice damage to all enemies! By the way, did anything happen when you awakened your persona? Any flashy lights or anything? Cause when I awakened mine, nothing happened, is that normal?"

"Rei took them off. She said they seemed uncomfortable. Don't worry, I won't be summoning my Persona or escaping any time soon. Especially since I can barely summon him as is," Moba explains.

"Eagle certainly thinks so. It's the labrynth's top floor after all. Tenko's eyes see something like that, too." Suni lets the ten-tailed fox appear behind him.

Let's wait for some more people to arrive in the Metaverse and head up. Meanwhile we should discuss what we do if we somehow manage to modify the door and go to the phantom thieves world.

He's the god who wants everyone to be boring and want nothing out of life. What should happen is the phantom thieves gain support from everyone and kick his ass. Something must have happend to Mishima he's the one who gets everyone cheering for them to save the world.
