Cosplay and whatnot
So I love this forum, and I have been inactive for a while since it started because I decided to start taking more shifts at work in an effort to save money for a massive cosplay group!

I convinced a crapload of people to be the Phantom Thieves for a con coming up in a few months, and the journey begins to getting back into cosplay crafting without all my original extremely talented friends that moved away! :(
Any advice I could get from anyone is helpful and maybe some links to certain cheap fabrics and materials for the crew, so I don't feel so in the dark after all this time. Maybe tips on things other people did to help make a coat more like Jokers, or perhaps what people used to make the shoulder tassels for Crows top?

Any help is appreciated! And if it's extra helpful, i'll do your housekeeping without the 5000 Yen fine~! >;)
I'll have my sister get in this thread. She does more cosplay than I do. Which is none....other than Daru....

I digress, she'd be more than happy to assist.
This is super heartwarming, and helpful! I'm glad I put up the post and actually got a response! :D
Sorry I myself couldn't be helpful, but Siren outta be a safe bet. I'll text her whenever I get off work. And I'm just glad to see people having fun out there!
AH HELLO I AM HERE AGAIN TO HELP GIVE THE COSPLAYS ADVICES TO THOSE WHO ARE AS POOR AS I AM
Alright, so first things first, pick a character. Most characters will have multiple costumes to pick from, so based on your experience altering clothing, pick a costume that seems do-able.

Next step, Wigs, depending on your natural hair, you could veto the wig and just style your hair the same way as the characters. BUT if this is impossible, try finding some cheap wigs online, I've been told that these wigs (https://www.amazon.com/MapofBeauty/b/ref=w_bl_hsx_s_be_web_8921396011?ie=UTF8
Clothing can be found at your local thrift shop or even in your closet. Makeup can help further portray your character as can props, which can easily be made.

Holy shit she actually did me a solid. Neat!
I second the Goodwill comment. Also, if you have a Plato's Closet/Uptown Cheapskate/Any type of thrift stores.. those are great to look at too. I think I got my whole outfit at thrift stores / thrifty clothing stores- painted my shirt, and I'm just going to safety pin fuzzy stuff to my jacket for the cosplay.

(Admittedly, the only thing I spent a lot on was the AKGs, but I wanted a pair of those anyway... XP)
I'd love to be Yusuke, but I can't :(
