Strength...
*A little on the outskirts of Shibuya is a deserted area with broken buildings and cracking streets. No one is around except a lone black silhouette standing in the front of an abandoned building.*

*PK is walking along the road when he notices something feels... off

That building! Something evil lurks nearby!

*PK then draws his laser sword and walks to the building cautiously

*The building begins to shift and turn into a dorm of sorts.*

*Pancakes Knight's phones begins going off: Palace Detected.*

OOC: Not doing the palace yet, just want to throw it out there that it exists.

A palace? I need to go tell the others!

*PK then runs off, hoping to find the others before its too late
Raidou Kuzunoha
[A sweating and seemingly exhausted Raidou arrives in the area. He takes a second to breathe as Gouto speaks.]

Something's off. Raidou! I think we've run into something not of our world. Stay on your toes.

[The boy shakes his head, and stretches before facing the silhouette.]

*A newcomer has found her way to the ruined area. Whether she intended to do so or it was by chance, she actually seems quite fond of it.*

I wouldn't really call these ruins beautiful as beauty rarely exists among such things... But I couldn't have asked for a better place to seek solitude.

*She'd continue forward until coming across a curious abandoned building.*

*The dark silhouette looks up at the passer-biers before looking back at the ground.*

*Upon taking notice of the silhouette, she hesitates.*

I suppose haunted still counts as abandoned? If that's a ghost that is.

*She approaches the silhouette but is sure to keep a safe distance from it before finally addressing it.*

Excuse me? Who are you?

*A faint voice can be heard from the silhouette.*

I'm nobody...anymore...I thought if I just continued on acting like nothing bugs me then I could be somebody, but I don't know what real strength is anymore...

[Keeping his left arm rested on his sheath, hidden beneath his cloak, Raidou steps toward the silhouette.]

*She's caught off guard from the response, totally expecting it to have been a ghost. She isn't particularly threatened by it so she'd continue to press it for information.*

That was... unexpected. Why do you care about real strength? Do you have anything to fight for or protect?

*The figure looks up.*

Once...but if I have no power of my own how am I to protect anything. I'm nothing but a ghost of a past that doesn't even exist anymore...

[The boy plays with one of his absurdly spiky sideburns, as if thinking about something. He then turns to Gouto and tilts his head toward the black figure. The cat looks back at the boy before speaking.]

Strength huh? Strength is a real broad word pal. We work with powerful spirits all the time, you can be plenty strong in ways that don't just mean crackin' skulls.

*She faces the two that are also confronting this silhouette and listen to what they have to say. She'd shrug.*

I suppose that's one way to put it. To be honest your situation sounds pretty hopeless but even I wouldn't be so pathetic as to sit around here and cry about it. That's no way to achieve any kind of strength.

*The silhouette looks back down.*

There is nothing left for me if the thing I've been pursuing hasn't been real strength all along then what purpose is left for me in the world of the living.

*The figure begins to slowly fade as it speaks becoming less visible by the second.*

[Raidou tugs on the tip of his hat, and speaks for the first time since arriving in the nexus.]

Are you really sure that you want to leave our world yet? Is there nothing left for you here?

*Upon noticing the figure fade she gets a little more fired up in regards to the figure's dilemma. She seems to be in agreement with Raidou.*

W-whoa wait a minute! This guy has a point you know, surely you can find something or someone that will inspire you to keep searching for the strength you seek!

*The silhouette looks back up.*

Is it really right for a weak being like me to keep existing, I should be dead anyway. I don't even remember how I died though...How can I keep growing stronger if I don't even know what it is I'm fighting for anymore?

[Raidou seems to have clammed up again, and he pushes his feline companion forward with the tip of his shoe.]

H-hey! Don't shove, I got it.

Look buddy, the two of us haven't been around for long; but there's no way not one of the people here isn't relying on you. There's a lot of things ghosts can do that those of us with flesh and blood can't. You've got to have SOMETHING worth doing here.

*The girl shakes her head in disappointment from the figure's response.*

You may have forgotten why you were fighting but you seem to remember that you fought in the first place! If you had known that you would turn out like this in your final moments...

Could you honestly say you would be satisfied? Wouldn't it just further ignite your will to fight? To that I say don't give up here!

*A shadowy figure appears behind the two talking to the Silhouette.*

Shadow Ghost Akihiko: Why waste your time on that idiot...I have all the strength I need and nobody is gonna be able to match up to that strength. As long as I keep getting protein I can't be beaten.

[Raidou jumps at the voice, and spins around on his heel. He quickly throws his cloak behind him,and instinctively unsheathing his sword and gun, readying the barrel at the shadow.]

*She turns around to address the source of the voice. She's impressed to find that this ghost has a shadow!*

How curious. I only thought these things existed for living people but I guess I was wrong! I think I have an idea for where this might be heading...

Say shadow, why not make this easier on everyone and just go disappear or something!

Shadow Ghost Akihiko: No need for violence yet, even if I do enjoy a good fight I have much bigger plans in store.

Soon, that weak me will be gone and I will become the new Ghost Akihiko! Then, I'll steal all the protein in this world for myself and become the strongest being in this world!

[Raidou puts his weaponry away, and readjusts his cloak to conceal his upper torso. Gouto then pipes up:]

Whaddaya mean gone? You look similar, but your personalities couldn't be any more different. What the hell is going on here?

Shadow Ghost Akihiko: I am how Akihiko perceives the world, his shadow born from his distorted desire for strength. I've already stolen his right to exist and soon he shall fade away and I will become the proper Ghost Akihiko.

I don't know much about this Ghost Akihiko but even I can pity the guy after considering that you're his shadow. At this point a fight will be unavoidable!

[Raidou nods at the girl's statement, and glares at the shadow with a stone cold glare.]

Shadow Ghost Akihiko: If you want a fight so bad then I guess you'll have to come find me in the metaverse. I would enjoy crushing you all, after all, no one is stronger than me!

*The Shadow disappears in a flood of dark energy, laughing all the while.*

[Raidou grinds his teeth in frustration, and adjusts his hat. He turns to Gouto before they nod at each other. He looks at Alice and asks her if she knows what the hell a Metaverse is.]

*She'd watch the shadow disappear. Once it has she'd turn to face the Raidou and Gouto.*

Do I know what the Metaverse is? Of course I do, I eat shadows like him for breakfast! You wanna go after that thing right?

[He nods with a determined look in his eyes.]

*She takes notice of the new arrival.*

What the? Do you know this Ghost Akihiko too?

*Kalib looks up at the girl as he regains his stamina.*

Yep! The name's Kalib! That ghost is actually the co-owner of my GYM.

[Raidou turns to the man and explains the situation up to this point, or at least the gist of it.]

That's... I would say surprising but today has been a whole mess of surprises. You may call me Alice.

Now that you're up to speed are you intending to join us in hunting the shadow down?

PK did warn me about the Palace....I thank you both for being there for Aki when I couldn't. I wish I did more when this came up before...

[The detective plays with his sideburn again, trying to think back to the words the ghost and his shadow were saying in hopes of getting some kind of clue out of it.]

*Kalib pauses after speaking aloud.*

*The grin fades as he begins thinking.*

Oh that makes sense. The shadow was mentioning something about "eating all the protein" afterall.

He kept talking about being weak and how he couldn't find real strength. So maybe... His distortion is of a stadium or somewhere the strongest go to compete? Maybe that doesn't make sense actually...

[Gouto speaks abruptly.]

He was saying he's all strong and things like that, right? So, it'd have to be a place where he can flex his muscles. A boxing ring, maybe?

*She smiles for the first time in the conversation.*

I imagine finding the party will take some time. Shall we reconvene later after some recruitment?
