Western Personas
Many personas are based on religion, folklore, and legends from the eastern side of the world. (Europe, India, Asia, etc.) But there has never been any western based personas.

Let's try to think up some! There are plenty of places to take inspiration.
There's Mothman.
Sam
Europe is considered western, so Roman, Greek, Norse and Celtic. Other than that, Quetzalcoatl is Aztec.
True, but Mothman legends exist all over the world. I was thinking more exclusive ones.

Here's an example: Johnny Appleseed. American folk tale about a man who planted apple trees all over america.
Does the Wendigo the count?
Hmm. Maybe, I'll have to do more research.

Another Western persona. Unknown Soldier. The unknown soldier is a canadian mystery of sorts. He was the last soldier to die in World War 2 but no one could identify him and he held no personal belongings. He also died at the exact time the war ended. There is a special memorial to the Unknown Soldier in Ottawa, capital of canada.

As a persona he'd probably focus on gun skills and bless skills. With maybe some healing arts and buff thrown in to reinforce the soldier theme.
Huh, that sounds pretty good. I want to say the Chupacapra might be one too. The only thing I could think of skill he could have is well, drain spirt due to them drinking the blood of goats. That's all I could think about the Chupacapra as of right now.
Hell biker exists tho
Idk. I think Altus must of ran out of ideas and decide to use Ghost Rider from Marvel.
lol maybe
Also including the treasure demons there's the hope diamond
Putting my bets on jack the ripper and slenderman
Meh.
Jack the ripper is already an SMT demon, so it wouldn't be too far off. Same with Mad Gasser
I don't know maybe the Crooked Man?
Try not to think of ones based on creepypastas or things like that. Historic or Folktales are fine, but nothing that was made for internet pleasure
Desmond Doss he could be a healing type.
Mothman, bugaboo and alice are pretty much creepypasta material already

"hey kids, I heard if you're naughty, a creepy girl will force you to play with her as her undead slave forever! also she looks like lewis carrol's alice for some reason"

Like for real the lore they put into this shit is not always particularly thought out (jack frost anyone)
True, but they are always connected to something like a folk tale or something. Some people are just like "Oh this character would make a cool persona." without thinking of the obvious legends and folk tales they've already heard of.
Teddy Roosevelt Persona when?
I mean Native American mythology is ripe with potential.
The Elusive Raven the harbringer of death
I still want Arthurian legend to show up in a Megaten game at some point.
Where is my Giant Junes persona at?
