Play P3 or P4 after P5?
<quote user="Migrant">You kinda have to know what you're getting into doing them after P5. First of all you're getting into a PS2 game, so expect bad graphics by modern standards. Second, expect to suddenly be missing stuff you probably liked like 90% of the Velvet Room's features, and confidant (now Social Link) special abilities, and Baton Pass, and Guns. Third.... I'd suggest you play Persona 3 Portable in order to directly control your party members. Original P3 and FES both required you have your party on AI control. You can do whatever Persona 4 you want, but I'd say Golden is the better experience. <span class="through">And better voice actors</span>.</quote> Thanks forthe great answer. Graphics aren't my biggest concern. It's more about gameplay mechanics, side missions, amount of grinding etc. Mainly things in the gameplay that can frustrate the player ;) Also heard a lot about Persona 3 where you can't control your party members. When you say portable, do you mean a specific version of the game?

To me, it's more a question about, if Persona 5 will make the older games look worse. After all, P5 was meant as the new gold standard for Atlus, so I'm simply worried if my expectations for P3/P4 will be too high.

<quote user="Mako-chan">A general rule of thumb: Everyone's first Persona game is usually their favorite.</quote> Yeah, I can tell that might be a good rule of thumb :D I'm thinking of starting with P4 when I can get my hands on it. P3 might be harder to do so.

Uhm, that came out of nowhere? Why? Is it related to Persona?
