"No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style."

Faba Magi Capulus Magicus
TV? Tokyo, Japan? Nexus? Good person!? None of these things made any sort of sense to the man. Well, okay, that last one was a joke. The man focuses slightly as he processes the information, however his attitude sours. "Helpful as always, Loiosh." The man takes another helping of klava, possibly scalding his tongue something fierce. But for now the pain was welcome. He sets down the mug and rubs his temples. "Okay. So...I am no longer where or when I was at one point. Verra's tit. What in Death's Falls does she have planned that involves a detour like this." He reaches down with his right hand and touches the hilt of a blade, breathing deeply as he does. "Fine. Just means I need to make due on my own. Start up another ring to stop me from getting too bored." He focuses again before turning to Homura. "Ah! Have you any teckla or the like rotting somewhere? My familiar seems to be looking for a snack and I forgot his rations back...in South Adrilankha..." He sighs. "Right. What I mean is any small critters you'd have running about."

A rather nervous looking man slinks into the building with his back to most of those who were present. Perched on his shoulder was a small winged reptile that glared at the crowd. The man closes the door and appears take a breath before turning and assessing each figure one at a time. His expression changes drastically as if he'd found some sort of mental footing. "Huh." The man seems to focus for a moment before walking to the counter and leans against it on folded arms. The shoulder mounted dragon continues to watch the man's back. "You. A mug of klava if you'd be so kind. A mug, not a cup. That part is important." He addresses the girl at the counter before focusing once more.

Loiosh quickly makes his way through the air and onto Homura's shoulder, rubbing his head against her cheek. After a small chuckle from Vlad, the small reptile glides down to the counter and proceeds to carefully extract the eggs from their shells using his talons. "I wouldn't be apologizing for the cleanliness of your establishment. In fact, it almost makes me rethink the quality of some of my own buildings." He focuses deeply but this gets him nothing but a furrowed brow. "He isn't here either. I really am on my own." Loiosh shoots Vlad a sharp glare. "Quite. You should've been a minstrel. What with your expansive lexacon and wit to nearly match my own." Loiosh throws back his head in what could only be a hiss of laughter. This leaves Vlad to nod at Homura. "Indeed. This is Loiosh, a companion when he feels like gracing me with his aid and a shoulder warmer the remainder of the time." He then clears his throat before speaking again. "I am Vladimir Taltos, and I hail from Fenario. I am of the House Jhereg, that means little to you I'm sure. Loiosh is one of the species that the House is named after. And please, just call me Vlad. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Homura." He bows his head respectfully before glancing at Brycen. "You, boy. Staring a sign of respect in these lands, or do you require something of me?"

His eyes go wide as the girl mentions her knowledge of klava. "Not often you see an Easterner with a taste for klava. You got quite the eye for the better things kid." The familiar smell brings back memories of the good times and memories of the best times. The other memories didn't matter right now. He wears a smile as the mug is presented to him. "You've my thanks." The man slides a couple gold coins across the counter to the girl. And then, he allows himself a taste of the brew. Or rather, he tried to but the sudden entrance of the eccentric knight made it a tad difficult. "It seems that some Easterners still don't understand that discretion is the better part of valor. Mister Hero of Justice would do well to get that through his skull." With mild annoyance, the man lifts the mug once more and takes a sip as his face focuses. He places down the cup and turns to Homura once more. "Goodness me, I was so distracted I forgot to ask... where am I?"
