*A small child is walking through the park.... He soon catches sight of a bird and gives chase, nearly tripping over Saeko's bench in his haste* O.... Oh... UM.... S... Sorry miss.... I.... I didn't see you there.

[Kazuma arrives at the scene with a big, sly smile on his face. He was just walking around the park because he's never been here, and of course, curiosity got the better of him.] Well, this whole Nexus thing is like a big box full of surprises. I'm almost expecting some kind of living plant. [He chuckles to himself for a moment, and then notices Saeko. He decides to walk up to her.] Why hello there sleepy head, is sleeping outside part of your "military training"?

Saeko looks at the child and giggles a bit. “It is all right. Just be more careful. It seems rather difficult to miss a bench of all things.” At Kazuma’s words, she turns, and her smile fades. “My military training is… long over. I-I just lack residence here, so I had to manage for the night, even if it was unpleasant.”

*Kuu looks down and blushes* S.... Sorry... I... I was just looking for a bird.. And... Well... I guess I lost track of where I was going... I.... I promise I won't do it again pretty lady.

[Kazuma chuckles at Kuudere's words and claps with sarcasm.] Now, aren't you a casanova, little one? She will DEFINITELY love you now! [Pats him on the head before turning his attention to Saeko again.] C'mon Miss Saeko you don't have to look so blue. I'm sure you will find something soon enough, and if not, well...let's hope this park is around for a while then. I mean, you saw the destroyed area. This place might disappear in a few minutes for all we know.

*Kuu shrinks nervously, and takes a few steps away from Kazuma* I... Um... D... Did I mess up? I... Well... S.... W... What else should I call her? I.... I just.. I hadn't seen her before... S... So.. I just... Well.... I just didn't know what to say.... I... I'm sorry. *Kuudere apologetically bows to both Kazuma and Saeko*

Saeko focuses her attention on the last of Kazuma’s words, ignoring the exchange between Kuudere and Kazuma. “We shall see. If nothing else, I hope to find at least an empty building to stay in during my time here. What do you mean by disappearing though? The destroyed area… Are you all in the middle of a war?”

*Kuu straightens up at the mention of a war* I.... I.. I hope not.... I... Well... There are scary things around, b... But they usually won't bother you... I... I haven't seen anything recently anyways. T... Though, there are probably quite a few places to live... *Kuu looks down for a moment* I mean, I don't really have a home... *Kuu looks back up and smiles* B.. But I'm doing just fine!!

Take it easy pal, just don't do something you will truly feel sorry for. [He gives a quick glare at Kuudere before turning to Saeko once more.] Like we said yesterday, we have a lot of very special individuals with different kind of abilities. For example, and like you probably saw, Mister Gamma was using his own body to create Ice. Funny thing is, he is not the only one capable of doing this kind of incredible stuff. We have...gods, literal gods capable of destroying entire worlds, and even the regulars can blow up big portions of the city. [Kazuma sits on the bench, yawning.] And so, with the chaos going on around all the time, you never know what will happen next. Don't be surprised if you never see the kid again or if this park turns into thousands of tentacles or something! [He chuckles at his own comment.] Oh, and we did kinda have some sort of war, but it was over in like a day. Or at least, that's the official story, you get me?

She giggles a bit at Kazuma’s words. “A whole war in a day? Surely you are joking. Ah, of course you are. You people must have fun playing games all day with stories such as these.” She leans back and puts on a more serious expression. “But... why do you all stay here? If what you’re saying is true, I do not see why anyone would choose to continue living in this city. Entire destroyed sections? Look at this kid!” She gestures to Kuudere. “He says he does not even have a home. As a traveler, I can make do with what I can find, but he is just a child.”

[He shrugs.] Most of us come from "other worlds" and are trapped here, with no way or hope of ever getting out. I...don't really mind, this entire world makes me curious like you have NO idea. [He points casually at Kuu.] And even if he is a kid, most people here are for themselves. Hell, even the so called "government" people have does shit! But...I wouldn't worry too much about him. From what Hazama has told me, he is one of the natives of this world.

*Kuu looks around nervously for a bit, as though searching for someone* W... Well... I.... I wanna leave. B... But well... I can't really. M.... My dad's not very nice... H... Well... He probably wouldn't approve of me seeing you people. *Kuu takes a deep breath and stands determined* B.. But that's ok. Because, well... A lot of people are actually really nice.. A... And I'm helping Labcoat Guy work on a way out. Then I'll be able to see where he came from, and all sorts of other cool stuff... U... Until then I pretty much just look after myself. Its not too hard.

Saeko doesn’t seem to know how to respond to their words. “Other… worlds? I do not think I’ve heard of other counties referred to as such. Your customs are already strange.” She giggles, and continues, completely misunderstanding what they mean. “Still, ‘trapped here’? Is the culture of this place really so engrossing no one wishes to leave? Intriguing, I shall see for myself before departing.” At his words, Saeko pats Kuudere on the head for a bit. “Sounds rough, having a father such as him. Is the government here so nonfunctional?”

*Kuu looks around again, before breathing a sigh of relief* W... Well... I'm afraid I don't know anything about a government, whatever they are... B.. But well, yeah... M... My dad isn't very nice... But that's ok. That's what I have Labcoat guy for. He's nice to me. And then.... *Kuu gives Sae a smile* Even random people like you pretty lady. I... I'm glad I was able to get away from him... *Kuu looks at the ground beneath his feet* W... Well... Sort of anyways.

[Kazuma opens both eyes and looks at her dumbfounded for a second.] I...this is new... [He composes himself for a second though, and goes back to his "gentle" smile.] Well~ You see Miss, this place is just dangerous, and it's not that people DON'T want to leave, they're just...unable, you know? But I'm sure a strong lady such as yourself will be just fine.

She tilts her head a bit in confusion. "Unable? Hmm, I suppose I shall see in a matter of days. Strong... yes. Hopefully I won't need to use that strength." She turns to Kuudere again and smiles. "While I appreciate the compliment, my name is not 'pretty lady'. It is Murakami."

*Kuu blushes as he stares at the ground beneath him* S... Sorry miss Murakami... I... I won't do it again.. I promise...

[Kazuma laughs again at Kuu's behavior.] Geez, kiddo. Relax, it's not like she's going to kick your ass. Although she looks more than capable of that.

She smiles. "Do not worry. I am not the type to injure a child. If you do not mind me asking, who is this... "L-Labcoat... guy"?

*Kuu's eyes light up and he starts talking quickly* w... Well, Labcoatguy's this... really cool man with white hair. He talks about singing a lot and told me all about how special I was. He's looking for a way out of here, and I'm supposed to be able to help by singing. So he said he's gonna be able to get me and Akari and a few others out as soon as whatever he's doing is done. I kinda fell asleep the one time he started to explain, so I dunno what he's doing. But the way he talked about his home it sounded SOOOO cool, so I just can't wait for him to be finished so I can go.

Not suspicious at all. I like how you think, kiddo. [Kazuma laughs sarcastically.]

Saeko simply blinks a few times in response before saying something. "W-Wait... hold on, you are speaking quite fast... He... talks about singing? Trying to get you out.... by singing?"

*Kuu nods vigorously* uhuh. And he says I'm really good at it too. And I won a singing thing the other day, so he must be right. I've never been good at things before so I'm really excited. Labcoat guy talks about singing like some weird kinda magic everyone has... *Kuu scratches the back of his head a little* But I kinda spaced out a bit when he was explaining things so I don't really get it.

"Singing as though it is magic?" She giggles, "Well I suppose songs can have that kind of effect on people."

[He scratches his cheek at Saeko's inability to completely accept certain stuff about the world. But laughs anyway because that's also really funny.] That's right, a voice can move hearts like no other thing! Maybe this "Labcoat guy" is just his instructor? Although it is really rude to not know the name of your own instructor, let me tell you.

*Kuu doesn't seem to hear Kazuma and starts talking quickly again* W... Well that's part of what I heard anyways. He starts talking really complicated so I don't really get it but I guess that's not really that important anyways. Labcoat guy's really nice and encouraging and.... *Kuu blinks a few times and looks between the two* W.... Would you guys mind if... Well.... Usually there's no one around for me to practice with... W.... Is it ok if I sing... Just a little?

Saeko takes out a pocket watch and glances at it, scratching her head a bit. "Well... I had wanted to leave a while ago to being looking around for a better place to stay, but I'd hate to tell a kid no... Sure."

*The child seems to be having second thoughts as he glances from side to side* I... Well... I.. I understand if you're too busy. B.... Besides. L.... Like I said before. I.. I'm not used to singing in public... I.. Well... I don't mind if you don't wanna listen.

Or you could just close your eyes and do it already. The pretty lady here wants to hear and is giving you her precious time. [He chuckles.] Now now, we don't want her to feel she lost her time with you now, do we?

W... Well... No.. I... I'd never want that... I just... I... I won't take too much time... I'll just sing a bit of it. *Kuu closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before he begins to sing in his immature, almost girlish voice* Through mostly vacant streets a Baker from the outskirts of his town earned his living peddling sweets from a ragged cart he dragged around. The clever Fox crept close behind, kept an ever watchful eye for a chance to steal a Ginger spicecake or a Boysenberry pie. Looking down was the hungry Crow: When the time is right I'll strike and condescend to the earth below and take whichever treat I like! The moment the Baker turned around to shoo the Fox off from his cart, the Crow swooped down and snatched a shortbread cookie and a German chocolate tart. Using most unfriendly words that the village children had not yet heard, the Baker shouted threats by Canzonet to curse the crafty bird: You rotten wooden mixing spoon! Why, you midnight winged raccoon! You'd better bring those pastries back, you no good, burnt-black-macaroon!!!

Saeko pats Kuu on the head, before picking up her backpack. "That was uh... Quite the interesting song. Thank for letting me hear it kid. I should get going now. See you two again soon." She began to depart, waving a hand over her shoulder as she walked off.

*Kuu looks around nervously before replying* Y... Yeah its supposed to be some kinda story.. Its kinda weird but I like it anyways.. Hehehe.... A.. Anyways... I'll just... *Kuu catches sight of a bird and runs off after it, he seems a little relieved*

[Kazuma stays on the bench as he waves goodbye to Saeko. After this, he just laughs.]
