Best/Worst Tales game
Best: Berseria. Why? Tunnels Worst: Graces(F) and every other answer is objectively wrong. Why? Because Graces (F)
Hey, Graces was my favorite. Its story was kinda cheesy, but the combat system flowed so well I hardly cared. As for my least favorite, Dawn of the New World. It was clunky, its story didn't make much sense, and all the returning cast had this weird set level thing for some reason
I've only played 2 tales games, Symphonia and Grace F, I never finished Symphonia...
Best: Abyss Worst: Symphonia Reasoning? These are the only ones I've played.
Wow, you two really need to play Xillia if you can. Not as good of a combat system as graces, but the story's better to compensate I suppose
Vessperia is my favorite, as for least favorite...honestly, Zesteria. The story was generic and the gameplay was very...stale...Beresia pretty much took Zesteria and made everything better. As doe Vesperia, I enjoy its free form take on storytelling where everything is more about the journey itself rather than the destination at the end, it was arguably also the last of the tales games to really keep the traditional 2dish style of combat.
My fave was Abyss, maybe berseria is close too. But I don't know if that counts but I looked a bit in ohatasia and it seemed boring to me. Zesteria was also a bit annoying, because of the end boss.
That end boss was super. Do enough damage or your 1hit KOed! All while dealing with the awful AI they give your party members...The only way to beat it is to grind for hours until you're over leveled or get someone to play the game with you. The worst part about the second option is that you need someone who knows how to play the game since it's the last boss and they won't have the same amount of experience as you with the controls unless they've been playing it for the same 16+ hours that the game is made up of.
the controls aren't complicated enough that you can't get the hang of it, but honestly the first time I played it I kind of assumed I needed to do more than just damage it enough to stop the super move. Due to plot and detail and all that. I ended up trying to block it. Surprisingly it almost worked
My strategy for the endboss that worked was weapons with against dragon 25% more damage for each of the equipment. Without it I lost a lot.
best: graces especially best for multiplayer. worst: xillia 2 xillia 1 was barely okay for single player but 2 was a disaster.
