A Perfect World
I've been wondering for a while what you believe a perfect world would be. That is, if you could change your life to be any way you wanted it, what would it be? And since there are a lot of Roleplayers I may as well extend it to In-Character as well as out. I'll go first. OOC: my ideal world would be one where no one allows emotion to rule their actions, instead solving any problems calmly and rationally. I believe that this is the root of all strife and thus would leave us all better off. IC: Eris here desires nothing more than a world where all are freed from sorrow. Be it hunger, conflict, death, all these things that cause suffering would be gone. For there is nothing worse than sorrow.
My perfect world: No violence, no corrupt governments, and technology not messing up nature.
A perfect world huh... I'm not really one to believe something like that could exist frankly. If even we think it sounds perfect once it became real I'm sure we would find something new wrong with the world. But I guess that a world without giant monsters devouring everything in sight would be a big step up for me so there's that!
Same answer as Lindow, word for word.
Interesting! Well for me personally, I think a perfect world would be one without suffering, everyone would do things for the better of the community and not themselves For PK the character, he wants everyone to live without fear for anything, to be able to rest peacefully knowing they are safe and can put food on the table without resorting to unlawful behavior
This is mostly a meme account, but for Prim in rp, she has a very simple wish: for everyone to get along, without having to fight all the time. Of course, she's mostly fine with fighting for sport as many in her world are, but conflict is something she dislikes. OOC, I'd kinda want the same thing. And for people to live while protecting nature and the planet... probably because this is a big issue I feel needs changed. In hindsight, this is also probably why I want to be a zoologist, but that's beside the point.
As the phansite is more WOKE now I figured that's a good time to bump this and see what happens

Just finished work so I think this is the perfect time to answer. Sooooo let's start with IC: For Aincrad, his perfect world is one in which everyone he cares about is safe and with him. He couldn't care less about the rest of the world, but rather they not hurt those closest to him. We're selfish like that. OOC: Surprisingly enough, the Nexus is sort what I envision my perfect world to be. For me, what I hold highest in value is choice and the ability to protect yourself. And that's sort of what the Nexus has. That and there are the chances to meet my heroes since they are from different dimensions and the Nexus is a hub of sorts.
I look forward to bumping this like, every four hours and getting maybe one or two more replies each time.
You can't have a world where everyone will think like you, but a world with more common sense and professionalism, ie, you're polite and know what not and to say at times would be a huge start. Nor do I think it implausible.
A perfect world? To be practical, forcing an utopia into reality is what makes a dystopia. So the perfect world in my mind(AKA an alternate reality where I’m surrounded by everyone and everything I love) is only an idea.
An ideal world for me, IC and OOC, is an anarchy where everyone controls their own destiny and is owned by no one. A big problem I feel with the world is the extension of control and monopolization of wealth and control, and in less elegant terms, a toxic mentality to impose oneself and fuck with other people's lives. This has plagued humanity in various degrees throughout history, and until a rational and decentralized world is realized, these problems will continue and individuals will forever run the risk of ego death and losing control to apathy. This is not an idealistic vision of utopia, as one may think; humans are invariably driven to become more and pursue their will, and are prone to things like greed and violence. That is the way of the world. I only wish for a rational world where power is not measured by status or imposing of will, where the charitable can be charitable if they wish and the self interested can pursue their goals and their goals rationally without being held back the need to mow down others and choice doesn't have to fall to anothers whims. This I feel would be an ideal way for myself to live as well as people from any background or goal. Can it happen tomorrow? Probably not, but life can change if enough people desire it. Desire is the strongest emotion in man and drives both the intellectual and the irrational, whether consciously or unconsciously. But I hope rationality and intelligence wins in the end and shapes a fairer, less toxic world before we explode or strangle ourselves and become a footnote for whoever finds our rubble.
That last one’s quite the paragraph, but I think it’s great you have such a solid and specific idea of it.
