Honestly, my favorite character is Joker, pretty much for the same reasons you listed above. Yusuke is second, if only because he always makes me laugh.

Aitome is lying. Tatsuya Suou is the protagonist of Persona 2 Innocent Sin which was shockingly the second game in the series, he's also a main character in Persona 2 Eternal Punishment, yes P2 got split up it's a thing. Also shockingly my favorite.... Is Tatsu, amazing right.

Tatsuya is kinda of lying. The games he is referring to did exist as a duology as he said. Tatsuya is the protag in the first, and secondary character in the second. However, what he forgot to mention is that they are NOT mainline entries to the series, in fact, in many ways Innocent Sin is entirely non-canon. Kinda like how PQ retconned itself.

They are mainline you ass, okay IS Kinda isn't but EP can't happen without it. As for EP? It's entirely canon and I don't know where you would get the idea it's not. And Philemon very much exists at the least in P3, do you think that blue butterfly is just for no reason Ai? Bah you people have no respect for the good old days.

Honestly I'm a bit weird and get HIGHLY interested in what if scenarios. Like Combat-Rise, or Hifumi/Mishima as thieves. But putting that aside and just looking at what we have, I have to say my favorite character is Naoto. Super smart, general badass, takes -1 nonsense, and is one true waifu.

Water really likes Ikutsuki from Persona 3. His bad puns killed me everytime.

WHYYYY I'll list the characters I don't like (that have actual names and portraits), because it's an easier question. P1: -Reiji Kido. Too much of a hassle for not much of a good result. Personality wise, he's good though. P2 IS: -Hmmm... No one. P2 EP: -Tatsuzou Sudou. He's just an old cult leader. There are way better characters in every single game. P3: -Kenji, the magician SL. Simply because I don't want to be friends with a milf hunter whose personality is just that. -Bebe, the temperence SL. Mostly because he's an annoying weeb, annnnnd I'm French. -Nozomi, the moon SL. He's the only one of the three whose link I haven't completed... Because he's an asshole. P4: -Ayane, one of the Sun SLs. Mainly because Yumi is way more interesting and doesn't look like an alien. -Hanako & Kashiwagi. They're dumb, they're obnoxious, and I actually think I liked King Moron more because of HIS antics. P5: -Kaneshiro, but only because he's not as memorable as the other targets, despite being the point where Cerebus Syndrome kicks in for major ennemies.
