Hubris of the world Finale: Reaching Beyond the Stars
The bright white star that stands above the city of Shibuya gleams with a fierce light. It illuminates the entire sky filling it with eerie white light. A figure in a gray robe walks to an empty clearing within the nearby woods. They look up at the ascending bright light as they hold a card in their hand. This is the end. Today will determine the course the world takes. Today will be the day in which the people's pride will be challenged.
Ouch My Hubris
Parad stands in the ruins, glaring up at the star.
That guy can't be allowed to go on... Nobody is allowed to determine the value of a life... nobody.
"Aoi. Sun. Icarus. Fire. Vwoosh. Are you getting this?"
A snake speaks to the young man, who now wears a silver winged mask.
I'm just going to take a closer look. Maybe find something in the air or on the ground. Persona!
He rips off his mask, and a golden armored humanoid with silver mechanical wings appears in front of him. He climbs onto its back, and it takes to the skies.
*Fayth appears behind Parad*
Agreed. I hate annoying jackasses like him. Gives the real lord Pride a bad name.
The robed figure approaches the temple ruins.
Looks like there are some people here already. Anyone come up with anything, yet? I don't really think we have any more time to plan this.
The figure lifts their hood to reveal Lux. They try to give an indifferent look but a sense of fear can be seen deep within their eyes. They walk up to the rest of the group as the white light looms overhead threatening to envelop the world at any moment.
I can nullify the light from that sun but getting up there is the tricky part. Teleporting or warping is a no go too. I need time to set up a void and teleporting is a little too instant for that.
Parad holds up his Perfect Knockout Gashat, a grin on his face.
I can use this to fly, perhaps I can carry you up there?
*Ruka, being deep inside the ruins deciphers the antique text, confirming Parad lying to her. She deciphers that only a certain power can stop it, the rest is unreadable*
You guys really did think about this since yesterday, huh?
The Persona circles the sky for a moment, then glides back down, letting Aoi get off near Lux.
A way up? Icarus could fly me up there, but I'm not sure if he can even hold multiple people... Although if I strained his jets, then maybe...
A somewhat familiar yet wholly unfamiliar woman approaches Lux. Her grey eyes flash as she waves to him.
Hello, Lux. Is there anything you believe I could help with?
*Ruka rejoins the group* Can I join in on the flight?
*Fayth looks over to Ruka*
Can you fly?
*The Black Samurai sat atop a building, being attracted to Shibuya by the bright light. The curious Samurai smiled under her helmet, wondering what would become of this world*
How interesting... I wonder what kind of world this will create? I will observe... For now.
Lux looks over everyone assembled and sighs though whether it's a sigh of relief or annoyance is hard to determine, perhaps both?.
Well looks like we have a few ideas at least. This isn't going to be an easy battle...
Realistically Chasm's Void can only last so long with constant strain so we may have to do this quickly.
Lux looks over at the mysterious woman with what looks to be confusion.
Do I know you...?
I think we've met but I'm not sure...
*Ruka answers Fayth with a proud smile* Indeed I can. I practised a lot
*Fayth smirks*
Well, you certainly seem confidant in your abilities, Keyblade Master. Hope your not all talk.
The woman sighs before nodding her head to Lux's question.
Now's not the time for such a chat. Just know I'm a friend.
So, is our plan to fly up there and take out the source? I can carry up another if they lack the capability to do so themselves.
After her eyes flash, and a few clicks are heard coming from her torso, her eyes and hair turn jet black, before waves of a dark purple begin to flow over them. The woman begins to hover slightly over the ground, as if controlling how much gravity affects her.
*Ruka, showing off her keyblade transformation, a keyblade glider inform of a sail boat, puts on her armor* I will fly you to the end of the universe with ability! Of course I exaggerate a bit, hue hue
Seems like a lot of us have flying covered... If needed, Icarus might be able to carry myself and someone else.
He climbs onto the back of the Persona.
*Several ghostly orbs appear around Fayth as he starts floating*
I'll slow down just for you, Keyblae Master, so don't worry about keeping up.
Thank you *Ruka jumps into the boat and "sets sail", waiting for the departing commando*
Well, I need someone to get me up there so you can decide that amongst yourselves. I don't have flight capabilities as I was given an emergency transport system instead. It can be useful but not for situations like this.

A few other people are capable of carrying you, so...
Icarus flaps its wings and soars above the group. It glides in a lazy circle as it waits for everyone else.
I would be capable of carrying you Lux, should you wish. I've gained a very good level of precision as of late, so I'd be able to keep you safe.
The woman offers her hand to him, smiling as she slowly begins to ascend, although keeping her hand within arms reach of Lux.
Lux looks between the mysterious woman and the boat. For reasons, he's not sure he feels more inclined to go with the woman though.
I don't really know anyone here but for some reason, I feel more familiar with you.
To be completely honest, I'm also a bit wary of weird key shaped boats.
Lux takes her hand unsure of what comes next.
Parad slots his Gashat into the Gamer Driver.
[MAZARU UP]
Clad in his Perfect Knockout getup, he summons several coins in front of him, and brings a gold coin with an image of a man jumping, along with a picture of a man flexing his bicep to him.
Might as well start the fight buffed, eh? We've got the escort all ready to go, and we don't need to use that dopey ship either! It looks pretty lame...
Parad floats several feet above the ground, awaiting the party.
Lets go!
After taking hold of her hand, Lux begins to float just as well, and can feel a slight bit of energy transmitting from her hand to his. The woman looks up towards the star, and begins to slowly speed up, before eventually flying at it at top speed.
Come, friends! Let's begin our assault!
Alright! *Ruka puts on her armor and flies with the group* Full speed!
Onwards, Icarus!
The Persona beats the air with its mechanical wings, climbing up towards the bright light. Aoi laughs a little.
Hopefully my wings don't catch fire!
*Fayth is already gone*
Parad ascends matching the mystery woman's speed.
What a breeze...! It almost makes you forget you're flying directly into a star!
As Lux follows behind the ground he crushes a card in his hand.
Chasm!
A dark humanoid being with vicious fangs and shining eyes forms in a blue flash behind Lux.
Void: Chaotic Order!
A void surrounds the group as they approach the sun. Although the Void nullifies the light from the white sun it still allows the parties magic to operate. Lux already visibly seems tired.
This is Chasm's new power...
But this is a little draining. I should explain exactly how this is going to have to work. I can nullify the flames and Hubris' invulnerability but I can't completely null his power. I'm already pushing it with this new version of Void and I doubt I could last long with any additional effort.
The group begins to approach the white star as the flames wrap around the void without entering it.
I am getting a bit nervous though. We are flying into space and then close to a sun that is approaching earth!
Alright, we should really hurry, but it'd be even worse to crash into something.
The lady slows down a bit, but only marginally, as tk keep everyone within the field. She then shifts her direction a little, heading as close to the center of the star as possible.
Got it. We'll have to move fast.
Aoi gives Icarus a pat. Its jets rev up as they fly within the darkness. The Persona whirrs nervously at the nearby flames.
Easy, buddy.
*Ruka follows the group, beign careful to not fall back*
A man riding upon a monster of a fly holding a staff made from bone enters view, one might know it as Beelzebubb. The person gazes up at Hubris with a bored expression. It's fairly clear this newcomer is used to dealing with the strange
"So then looks like another of the so called Gods Of Sin is causing issues eh? Well I guess you can count on my powers for this one, if there's one thing I don't like it's Gods trying to force their will on people. Anyways what's the plan?"
He glances around at the team curiously, some girl, an ASW, a boy using his COMP tech? Someone in armor that seems to be from a show or something. What a ragtag band... Heh odder than Abel's really.
We are gonna extinguish the sun!
As they cross through the flames of the star all that can be seen beyond the void are flickers of white flames. The area is completely shrouded in white light with what appear to be faces flickering in the flame from time to time as well.
The closer they get the more faces they see within the flames until it's just a large barrage of eyes staring down at the group. Soon they pass through the flames to unveil a massive space within the light the majority of which is taken up by a massive sphere-like structure that appears to be made of some kind of strange marble.
What the... This is...
Aoi guides Icarus towards the marble sphere. The Persona taps its head against the surface, as if pecking at it.
*Fayth is waiting for everyone*
What took you guys so long?

The woman looks back to Lux as the sphere structure comes into view.
I hate to ask this of you when you're already working so hard, but do know where to proceed to next?
She then turns back to the structure, looking it over as she awaits Lux's answer.
Naoya stares at it in awe, this place might be an issue but he'll be dammed if he's not curious speaking as someone who researches demons... Regardless though he points the demon for the marble and examines it, perhaps it's something Cain might know of?
"Hmm quite interesting isn't it? I can't allow this God to do whatever they want but I won't say that I'm not intrigued. Ah well best to focus on the real task at hand."
Lux breathes heavily as he observes the marble sphere.

Dammit, do you think Hubris blocked us off? I hope we didn't come here for nothing.
Parad hovers at a distance, he catches a glimpse of Fayth being there.
How did you get here before the Void? You should be dead!
Cracks begin forming where Icarus pecked it. The cracks move in a very specific pattern and begin forming the image of a sun and an angel with burning wings standing before it.
OOC: I mean, the whole point of the void was kinda to keep everyone from burning up when they approached the sun.
Icarus's metallic eyes seem to gleam, and it quite literally bashes its head against the sphere. It barely hurts the hard-headed Persona, although the sphere will certainly be very damaged from that.
OoC: I gotta sleep, but go on guys
Already am. Can't kill a dead man. Well, you can, just not the fires of the sun.
The wall in place of the pattern quickly crumbles away as a marble door takes its place. The fire from the outer walls of the sun begins flaring wildly as Lux takes a deep breath. A white glow can be seen coming from the door as a chill flows through the area.
Wow, that actually did something useful. Nice. Let's get this thing open... Well, someone else can. It's hard to grab a door when you're riding on a Persona.
Parad attempts to push the door inward.
Man this is so old-school! Just like I like my games!
Good instinct. Lets head inside.
The woman slowly begins to head towards the new door, holding Lux tightly as travels towards the door.
The demon flies forwards with caution that cold isn't normal or inviting... Hopefully he can find some ground to get other demons out, he doesn't have a ton of flying options that are good after all. Either way Beelzebub tosses the staff to it's master and begins trying to push as well.
"Games? Heh I'm not sure I'd call it that, but an interesting view point nonetheless, ah I'm Naoya Minegishi by the way. Pleasure to meet you all I'm sure."
As the door opens no light escapes from it. Rather a darkness seems to leak out and snuff any light that it may touch. The interior of the building is pitch black save for a tiny light that resides in the center of the room.
A cold breeze can be felt from within the room as an echo of groans can be heard from all around the room. Above all else, a feeling that's unexplainable fills those who enter. The feeling makes people reminisce on what they are most prideful of.
How many people need to push one damn door.
*Fayth pushes the door regardless.*
Parad thinks on how good he is at opening doors.
Gee, I sure am glad that I could open that door on my own, and that nobody else but me even touched the door prior. Just me, lonesome Parad.
As Icarus flies inside, it shudders from both the cold and the strange feeling. Aoi closes his eyes as Typhoeus's voice rings in his head. "I'm a mastermind. I could create great masks and take on any form!" Such an overconfident snake. Aoi himself is reminded of his own pride... Being able to do supernatural things, becoming someone greater than his past self... His own worries of being a screw-up and unimportant were fading here.
The woman stops moving once the feeling reaches her, her eyes blankly staring forward, before she shakes it off.
Not now, I can't think about that until I talk to Chronos...
She then lands inside the door, and after a few clicks are heard her hair and eyes return to their regular grey.
Lux, how much further until you don't need to continue exerting yourself? I'd think we'd be free of the flames by now, so can you not now save your energy for later?
Indeed. You conquered mans greatest enemy, the mighty door, completely alone. Good job, Paradox. Of course, we dead people do much better in our sleep.
*Fayth heads forward to explore the room.*

Lux points to the strange white light In the middle of the room. The effects of the strange feeling might have effected Lux but with their energy being impacted by using Void for an extended time the feeling simply washes over them harmlessly.
T-that light...

Naoya looks over at Fayth and Parad, clearly annoyed with both... But the former is bugging him more.
"I believe he said his name is Parad actually, and there's no need to be hostile over anything so if we could focus on the task at hand rather than mocking each other it would be best. At any rate you don't look so good ASW, perhaps someone else could take over somehow? Or at least lessen the strain?"
The woman allows Lux to rest on her, and begins taking him towards the light. She then turns to Naoya.
I don't believe anyone could take over. This power comes from his Persona, I believe, so none of us can fill the same role.
That said if you can possibly restore his strength, I believe it'd be benefitial. I lack the capability myself.
The light glimmers as they approach. It shines with a forbidden light. It shines with forbidden power. A power that you must attain. You must be the one on top...
The walls seem to light up slightly the closer one gets to the light. The light is that which you've always yearned for. Patterns form on the walls displaying many images of people rising to power. The light is your and your alone...
Parad wipes off his mask, as it is covered in bugs that he hit on the way up.
A light in the center of the room? Either we need to pick it up or beat the crap outta it...
Firstly, Paradox just sounds cooler than Parad. Also, I'm trying to be sarcastic, not mean. It's a fine line. I'm... still trying to master it. Regardless of all that, what is this place? This light seems... interesting.
*Fayth quickly turns his back on the light*

Typhoeus's voice is louder now. It's greedy for whatever's in that light. Aoi reaches forward... But is suddenly brought back to reality by the tug of Icarus's harness. He mutters to himself and gets back down on the winged humanoid's back.
Nearly lost myself there. It was like... a trance...
Parad punches himself in the face.
No time for any more power trips... I'm here to save lives, not fall prey to some false hope.
For a split second, and woman's hand begins to reach for the light, before she stops.
I don't need that... I've got to do this by my own strength.
Instead of fully reaching for the light, the lady instead points her palm towards it, and a small hole appears in the center, revealing a small chamber inside, where a small gun barrel pops out of. She fires a small round towards the light, which explodes into flames once it hits something.
As the bullet hits the light it bursts out into a white plume of fire. The fire begins spreading across the ground as the room light up. On the walls images of people rising to power only to fall to tragedy line the wall. from within the flames, a skeletal hand emerges and tries to grab onto the closest person ti can.
Wh-whoa!
Icarus flaps its wings wildly to get away from the hand's reach. Its jets begin to whir as its golden body glows.
Looks like we have our culprit... Charge!
Naoya doesn't even bother moving towards the light, he's clearly not willing to get near it for one reason or another.
"Tch what I've always wanted? Somehow I don't think some stupid glow can let me slay God himself so I'll just stick to myself and my demons, I have many names but in the end? I'll never allow myself to fall pray to some god ever again... Not so long as I've a choice anyways."
He glares at the light with a flame in his eyes, still waiting to see what the shots do before attacking himself. Regardless of his desire to strike.
Oh, now wh- Woah!
*Fayth turns around. He immidiatly jumps backwards as the hand emerges, getting out of it's range*
Parad sidesteps the hand, and punches at it.
Sorry pal, but I don't play using touch controls!
Rather than getting away from the hand, the lady instead simply lets it grab her, but not before tossing Lux away into the arms of Naoya.
Oh, you want to do this the hard way? Let's make it happen.
The lady cracks her neck, before clicks are heard throughout her body. After a few seconds, her eyes and hair jolt to life with a sharp yellow, and electricity begins to coat her, and flow into the skeletal hand.
OOC: Gotta go for about half an hour.
The man grabs hold of Lux, clearly he's a bit stunned but regardless he can't let the ASW die. His demon on the other hand takes aim with it's staff, a beam of light flying from the thing right towards the hand. Megidolaon, but focused into an aimed attack to hopefully deal more damage. That and to evade hitting the woman.
"Shit really? Well this battle is off to a wonderful start team keep up our current pace and I'm sure we'd make my cousin look helpless compared to us!"
The hand reaches out first to Parad who punches it away as white sparks spew out from it. It reaches over to the mysterious woman and Lux. In order to get Lux away, the woman throws him out of the hands reached and lets herself be grabbed. She emits an electric shock as the hand takes the attack and white flames leak from it. The hand tightens its grip before throwing her across the room. The beam of light connects with the hand in an explosion of bright light. The hand falls apart from the force and disintegrates.
So...
It seems you really did come all the way here. Tell me, what exactly is it that you which to accomplish?

Aoi looks at where the hand was, then Icarus, then the empty space again.
Actually don't know. To stop you, I guess? I assume you were responsible for all that destruction.
Bragging rights. I haven't destroyed a star before. Also, I don't like you, so beating you is a bonus. Yeah, it's petty, but whatever.
Parad glances around, searching for the source of the voice.
Obviously I'm here to make sure you don't kill anyone, and I mean save the world but it's cliche and all. Gah, who cares!? Sometimes the most cliche way is the best way!
"Why did I come? Well at first I'll admit, just idle curiosity really. But I've heard enough about you so called Gods Of Sin to know that you're just like all the other so called divines I've had the displeasure of meeting..."
Naoya looks around for the source of the voice and glares, his voice up to now has been fairly calm and emotionless. Now the Demon Tamer sounds pissed and looks ready to kill.
"To sum up my name is Naoya Minegishi, or if one prefers you could call me Cain the first killer. I care not for gods and demons only seeing to it that freedom is there for all... So if you want to decide the people's fate like the rest? Then I'll destroy you here and now Pride!"
The rooms once again goes dark...

But what I really meant is what end do you strive for?
Light bursts from the center of the room as Hubris rises from the ground in full form. Fire surround him as his soulless eyes show a flickering white flame within. He looks down upon those who oppose him now.
Regardless of who you are, everyone has an end goal. You would not be here if you simply did not care...
Do you reject that you are driven by your own pride? The Pride that makes you believe that what you seek is obtainable...
You may despise me all you like but all I wish to do is see that Pride bear fruit. Why do you fear perfection? Is it not in the nature of humans to want to be perfect?
I just wanted to grant people that wish. To bring peace to this world and allow everyone to achieve their dreams. Since I was young my siblings always we're envious of my power. I pitied them and thus wanted their wishes to come true as well...
I suppose none of you cam here to talk though. Did you?
The entirety of the floor of the room flashes white. The white light increases in lumination as it tries to burn and singe those who stand upon it.
Chasm...gah!
Lux desperately tries to repel the force as his eyes flash for a moment.
Don't worry...
I'll make sure he can't win...
Just take care of this quickly...
The lady picks herself up after being thrown, holding her right arm, before looking over to Lux.
I suppose I'm here to pay back a favor to a friend. He helped me out, now I'm here to help him.
As the floor begins to singe her lower body, she grits her teeth, and points her right palm towards Hubris to fire out a flaming round towards him. Halfway in it's path towards him, the bullet begins to flash with sparks as well.

Parad starts swapping coins in the air again, pulling a silver one to his hand.
[RANDOM]
Parad begins to separate into multiple versions of himself.
Oh thank god, y'know? Random is a pain in the rear to use, but this'll do!
Each Parad brings forth his Parabragun, and fires a barrage of blue and red lasers at Hubris.
Nice flashlight, bud. But, I ain't beaten by a little burning sensation.
*Fayth smirks, though pained*
Only one man in the entire dimension can kill me. You ain't him, mate. Now then, shall we?
*Fayth summons a yumi and fires an arrow made of wind at Hubris*
Lucky for Naoya he's still in the air.
"Heh... I couldn't care less about your pride or any of that, I've come here to end your life just as I'll end YHVH one day so no I'm not willing to talk Hubris!"
The Lord of Flies hovers up towards head level or so, a torrent of flames bursts from the demon's mouth as it glares at Hubris. Naoya on the other hand actually bothers to attack this time, his hands blurring through a COMP menu before picking the skill "Holy Dance". He raises his hands up to the god a ball of Almighty rushes for it's head, followed quickly by two more.
The flaming round hits Hubris and bursts into a mix of fire and lightning. Smoke rises from Hubris' body before he waves it away with a single swipe of his hand.
I suppose I have no reason to hold back then...
Parad and his clones fire a barrage of shots at Hubris. He raises his hands to block the shot leaving his hands with burn marks.
The arrows of wind hits Hubris directly causing a burst to knock against Hubris but he holds his ground.
The fire bursts forth towards Hubris but he brings up a wave of his own flames to fight against them. Smoke rises all around as the flames clash with one another leaving Hubris open for the volley of holy dance to strike him directly.
It seems none of you are to be underestimated...
But even still. That Pride...
It fuels me!
Hubris' eyes gleam with white light as it stares the group down.
[Enemy Turn]
The burnt wings on Hubris' back begin glowing furiously as they're coated with a brilliant white flame. They begin raising before swinging down as a wave of white flames spreads over the floor of the room and Hubris begins flying into the air.
The roof of the room begins opening up to the rest of the area within the inside of the sun.
Lux can be seen on the floor focusing on keeping a void up around the party and around himself to keep the flames off him.
Those who oppose the world are my enemies. I shall burn your imperfection away and make you all whole...
That is the only way....
That's the only way to avenge their deaths!
[Player Turn]
Chasm begins screeching out loud as it swirls around Lux. The Persona seems to be smiling oddly at him as his eyes flicker more.
Just focus Lux...
Lux seems to smile as well despite his unstable condition.
If I can save everyone else...
Then that'd be enough...
The lady holds her ground against the flames, pushing back with all her might, before she reaches forward.
Hemera... Come forth and aid me!
A small blue spark forms in her hand, and a card materialized, then immediately gets crushed in her hand. Behind her, the large spider-like Persona forms, easily holding it's own against the flames. The lady then quickly hops atop it, and points towards Hubris.
Now, Riot Gun!
The Persona points one of it's legs at Hubris, firing a large round from it's gun-shaped foot directly at him.
Hmm. Maybe you are the one, after all. Well then. Come at me.
*Fayth despawns the Fujin Yumi and spawns twin arrowguns, launching a barrage of bullets at Hubris.*
"Pride hmm? I'd never thought of myself..."
The man laughs, Naoya can't even finish saying he's not proud before he starts in.
"Ah oh man, hah yeah I figured but even so I'm not going to fall to another so called god Hubris!"
His mocking is cut short by the flames blasting right into Beelzebub, thankfully the demon is strong enough to withstand it but not forever, either way Naoya urges it on as as the Fly shoots a blast of draining magic at Hubris to try and heal a bit. Naoya on the other hand gives another element a shot. His COMP glows as he picks "Zandyne", A burst of force coming to life in front of the god and slamming towards him to try and knock Hubris down towards them.
The Parad in the center of the line pulls down an orange coin, and absorbs it into his being.
[INSTIGATE]
The center Parad becomes the center of attention of Hubris's attacks!
Bring it, Prideman!
The remaining Parads break off into their own firing squads and continue to unload red and blue lasers unto Hubris, a single Parad runs to attack him with his ax.
OOC: Sorry, got distracted.
The round hits Hubris directly in the head causing a small crack to appear on the skull. Hubris grabs his head with one hand as he looks onward with rage.
Another barrage of bullets flies at Hubris as he attempts to block with his arms but the burn marks from earlier have left his arms softened causing the bullets to crack them slightly.
The draining power tries to sap Hubris' strength but it seems as if Hubris' strength cannot be sapped. Naoya sends out a massive force at Hubris. The force crashes against him and forces him down to the ground as he catches himself on his feet.
Parad Instigates Hubris causing his attention to focus solely on him. Hubris' eyes gleam as the squad of Parad fire more projectiles at him along with one attacking him directly with an ax strike. The shots cause smoke to surround Hubris.
Again...and again...and again! I'll make you regret your Pride as it scars you forever!
[Enemy Turn]
A small orb of light forms in Hubris' hands. The orb flies up around Hubris body. In second a beam of strange energy fire off after the Parad from before.
If the energy hits it will cause damage that will not only deal physical damage but will wound the pride of the afflicted as well.
[Player Turn]
The center Parad attempts to jump to the side, but is grazed by the laser.
AGH!
The center Parad fades into a cloud of pixels, but the other Parads still stand. The remaining Parads taunt from their positions.
Looks like you didn't hit the right one! Guess it's time for the counterattack!
All but two Parads charge straight at Hubris, swapping into ax mode, while the remaining Parads begin to shuffle coins in the air.
Tch. Darn. Reload.
*Fayth swtches from guns to a spear.*
Cross the heavens!
*Fayth throws the lighting powered spear at Hubris.*
Bow down.
Naoya looks at the orb of light and taps a few buttons on his COMP once more, rather than picking skills however the man calls up the demon "Garuda". The giant bird screeches at Hubris and darts right for him. Trying to fly past his head and rake it's claws through a couple times before flying further away. Beelzbub on the other hand goes back behind Garuda clearly trying to keep Naoya safe, it scoffs at Drain not working and opens it's mouth again, this time the fire forming into a small ball that rushes far faster than the jet. Clearly it's condensed the power of Agidyne into a small area.
The woman once again points towards Hubris, but this time she clenches her fist, and sparks of electricity flow between her and her Persona.
Maziodyne Plus!
A massive surge of Electricity bursts out from the pair, blasting directly towards Hubris in a sea of sparks.
The cluster of Parads approaches Hubris.
Enough of these games!
Hubris' body erupts into a burst of white flames. He still takes the hits but flames spew out as the axs hit his body
The electric spear flies towards Hubris. The small orb flies down and seems to expand strangely to catch the spear before it hits.
The bird strikes at Hubris' head with its claws. Hubris reaches for his face as he takes the hit. The ball of fire shoots out at Hubris bursting into flames as it hits his chest directly leaving the bones scorched.
The electricity surrounds Hubris as it runs through him causing him to flinch in pain.
[Enemy Turn]
Hubris beginning to wear down lifts his hands once more as another ball of light forms and floats near him.

The earlier formed ball of light throws the spear to the side as it floats in front of Hubris. The two balls spin around each other before firing large beams of the strange energy in all directions.
Chasm! Protect them!
the dark persona smiles in delight as it raises a void around the party to reduce the effect of the beam. Lux looks down as he visibly shakes.
I can do this...I...
his eyes grow dimmer for a moment.
[Player Turn]
The horde of Parads get blasted into a cloud of pixels, and the two Parads shuffling coins take their own down.

In front of one Parad, a shimmering wall forms, reflecting the weakened beam back at Hubris.
How about a taste of your own medicine!?
The other Parad falls asleep, and fades into a cloud of pixels.
Did you just steal my- Oh crap.
*Fayth spawn a strangely shaped, large, blue shield, using it to try and defend himself from the beams, getting pushed back slightly before placing a gun on one of the indents and firing at Hubris.*
Modified Crossbow Shield. Never leave home without being able to summon it. Still, ya jerk. Beam spamming is cheating.
After her last attack, the yellow of her hair and eyes faded, and returned to their normal grey. She and her Persona then manage to dodge most of the attack, but the largeness of Hemera causes it, and therefore it's user, to be struck by the attack. After clenching her chest for a second, the woman continues her assault.
Hemera, Heat Wave!
The Persona glares at Hubris, before a sun symbol shines brightly on it's abdomen, sending a blast of compact force towards him.
Garuda and Beelzebub eat the attack head on as Naoya leaps down to the ground, hopefully it's safe at this point but better than taking a hit like that.
Either way the demons both look banged up pretty bad from such a hit but they can go a bit longer, Garuda however simply hovers in place needing to take a rest. The Lord is made of sterner stuff however and rushes for Hubris glowing Almighty magic gather up on it's staff in a bladed shape as the the thing tries to stab it into Hubris eyes. Naoya on the other hand switches tactics and pulls out "Shield All" blocking one attack for himself and his demons so long as it isn't Almighty. The might imply it affects everyone, but alas "All" means "His Team" here.

The blast bounces back to Hubris as it strikes at his core.
W-what? I-I...
Hubris' form begins shaking and becomes blurry as fire surround him.
The bullets hit him one by one piercing his form as it shakes more and more.
I can't...I-I'm immortal...
The beam of fire breaks through Hubris' form completely as only a blurry image remains.
I...will...survive...
The blade of the staff stabs through Hubris' head dealing what is believed to be the final blow.
I...will cary on...their will...
[Enemy Turn]
Hubris' remaining form begins glowing brightly as the star itself seems to grow unstable. Before anyone can react the star becomes crumbling in on itself as the white light draws in ever closer.
Hubris bursts into a flash of glorious light The engulfs the entirety of the area. All who are hit by the burst of light disintegrate instantly leaving nothing behind or it would if the party wasn't surrounded by a void negating all damage.
[End of Battle]
Parad gets his flight token, and flies off into the sunset, mainly to recover.
I usually skip the ending to get the next level faster!
As the marble platform falls to the ground Lux is standing as their eyes are almost completely dark now and a void surrounds everyone.
Well, that wasn't exactly fun...
Lux falls onto their back as the void disperses.
As the platform crashes to the ground a figure made of dim white light stands in the center. This is the remainder of Hubris' form.
I lost...Everything is...over...
Failure...
The woman's Persona slowly fades back into a card in her hand, and she falls back to ground level. She immediately heads over to Lux.
Lux, you're not going to die on me, are you..?

Naoya fiddles with his COMP and picks Mediarahan, a healing light washes over the ASW and his demons. For one reason or another he grabs the bot and leaps up onto The Fly while recalling Garuda, they return down the ground below as Naoya smirks. Hubris despair amusing him to no end... The fact the thing is alive is enough for him to pause and fire off another Holy Dance, the 3 orbs charging right for Hubris in an attempt to rid this world of one more god.
The orbs strike Hubris all at once leaving 3 large holes within his body.

Hubris begins crumbling to pieces as tears stream from his eyes.
I'll finally...get to see my siblings...again...
Hubris falls apart all at once as a tiny stone with a white glow falls the ground in his place.
Parad flies back in to snatch the stone.
As if! I always get my loot! And I know just the guy to use this!
*A voice come from the last orb of light before it flies off*

Lux lies on the other side of the platform as the light begins fading from his eyes.

The fly rushes down to the ground carrying Naoya, and after landing his demon vanishes... Then he walks off from the scene with his hands in his pockets and a smirk on his face. Tatsu had told him this place was interesting back when he got that job to mod a COMP, but one day here and he's already killed a god? Heh time to start showing up a bit more.
The woman smiles at Lux, before nodding.
Yes, everyone's fine, although... The Sin of Pride's shard was taken by that strange coin person who assisted us...
I feel pity for himn honestly. He wasn't doing this out of malicious intent, right?
Lux smiles back as his eyes seem to grow darker.

When Naoya and others return to the ground in Shibuya, they are greeted by the Black Samurai, clapping her Demonica enshrouded hands. She giggles under her breath, muffled by a voice modulizer
Bravo. Congratulations on defeating a god of control and foolishness... If you do not know me, I am the Black Samurai. I observed your battle from down here, to the best I could. I'm impressed. To defeat an omnipotent force with your own strength... I commend your victory. I hope we can be allies in the future... I am someone who's looking to make a better world, one step at a time. Lux is cut-off as his body stops responding. His eyes completely dark he lays limp on the ground. His energy completely gone he can't even finish a sentence. All that remains is a metal shell as a strange blue light seems to pulsate from within before forming into a small ball and floating into the sky. Before anyone can even look at the object it flies off. So the android who felt empty his whole life now truly was...
"Tatsu? He knew that crazy bastard... Huh, I guess I could call but eh, not like we're friends or anything. Oh and Black Samurai huh? Tell me lady, how do you feel about gods reigning over us from on high? If you won't accept that madness then perhaps we can help each other, oh and if you see Kazuya Minegishi do me a favor and say... Naoya watches the life fade from the ASW, whoever they were the guy was good in a fight... What a shame to lose someone so helpful, but alas these things happen. Either way he watches TBS and grins at her, hopeful this offer can be of some help to him.
