Wings of Wisdom
There is a time, where nothing is right, where nothing is wrong, where everything is "equal" There are some things that don't need to be fixed. She lay on the hard wooden floor, clothes torn to shreds, body covered in dirt, and no place to call home. "Nothing good ever came out of crying and begging, child." she had been told. She kept on believing, "One day, I can find my wings. " She told herself that everyday. But there she lay, pale as clay, like a baby dove, fallen from the nest. Short, bit simple. I hope you enjoyed the first part of "Wings of Wisdom"

"Little Peasant! " Cried a terrible woman. "Get up you little brat! Or you'll be sleeping outside tonight! " She threw her to the wall, waking the girl up with a tear. "Y-yes Ma'am. " She'd say. The woman gritted her teeth. "Clean this place up! It's filthy! We have guest coming and you are here sleeping?! " She kicked the girl on the floor. "No Ma'am, I-" "Just get to work! My little girl has to look her best, and she doesn't need you to mess everything up! " The woman stomped off to see her daughter. "it's going to be fine.. " she tells herself. She picks up the broom and begins to sweep the floors. Camera men, Reporters, and a lot of people came rushing through the front doors to see the woman and her daughter. "Miss Fenece, is it true that your daughter, Elizabeth Fenece, has won 100 trophies in one day? " A woman asks. "Yes, it is true. " Fenece, the grouchy woman replies. The pale servant girl hide inside of the attic, waiting for all of the comtion to settle. "Don't they know she's lying?" She wonders. Elizabeth whispers something into Fenece's ear. "Why would you say that? That's tremendously terrible! " "Well, she works so hard for us, and besides, it'll give your reputation a mega boost! " Fenece and Ellie wink at each other and laugh. "Maid! Get her dressed, and bring her down. "

With no hesitations, the maids rushed upstairs to get the child ready. "You're going in front of the TV, child. " the maid said, gloomily. The child looked surprised for the first time in a while. Her blank eyes showed she hadn't felt happiness, anger, fear, or any type of emotion in a long time. "Why? I'm just a servant? " Dove asked. "We don't know, child! Why aren't we out living our own lives? There are questions that need to be answered. Now come with me so we can get you out of those rags! " The maid pulled the girl's sleeve and tugged her to another room full of mirrors, dresses, and makeup. Once again, there was light in the girl's eyes. "Wow! " she cried. A beautiful woman walked up to the girl and grabbed doves hand. "Come with me, young lady. " She said. The girl nodded and follwed her. The woman did her makeup and hair, and picked out an outfit for her. "What's your name, young lady" She asked. "I.... " The girl began. "I don't know. I forgot it a long time ago. " she no longer had those shiny eyes she once had, and she held her head down. The woman smiled and lifted her head. "You are beautiful. Like a dove. I envy you. Your new name is Dove. It means love and peace, so always have that. " the girl smiled and felt something wet roll down her cheek as she nodded in agreement. "Thank you. " she said, as she walked out of the room with her goddess-like dress. The woman was right; she did look like a dove. A graceful, hopeful dove.
