Is this thread mistagged?
As the topic title suggests, I would like to bring forth a question regarding threads, this thread in particular. As this thread is aiming to facilitate some sort of discussion, it could be labeled talk. However, considering the mostly jocular nature of any such discussion I, as the thread maker, believe it fits under the “meme” category. There is a strong argument for “other”, however, as other is vaguely defined, I believe that would kill any discussion attempts. Now, Phansite, if you would take it away from here.
A Meme is defined as to make fun of an aspect of the media. And this is just pure meta meme.
In this post-Freudian age the institution of marriage, as a by-product of religiously-fuelled monogamy, has deteriorated to the point that amorphous sexual identity, as opposed to rigid religiosity, has become the primary self-defining feature of the individual. But has anything changed?Has the entrapment of woman via marriage which Blake called a "gilded cage" merely deteriorated to the "rusty prison" of the Bang Bus, representative of the anonymous male-centric sex and continued subjugation?
Another Skullgirls account? Did I just start a new trend?
If I see Valentine I’ll shoot Big Band
You're a insperation to us all Big Band.
Also, I think this thread is mistagged.
I’ll admit, I was unaware that there was a Big Band here, but I’m pleased to see at least one more person shares my interest. However, it seems that placing this in the “meme” category has eliminated any actual attempts to discuss this thread’s nature. Perhaps some day I shall try again and label it “talk”, but for now, consider this piece of art my greetings to you all. Edit: nevermind, it seems our fellow Skullgirls fan disagrees, please do discuss your reasoning

Kind of interested in this idea. There definitely is a strange line when discussing threads of the meme or other tag as it doesn't seem like a simple judgment can really determine what a meme or other tag is for as opposed to discussion tagged threads. I suppose a meme thread is supposed to be comedic in nature though what is and isn't comedic would be subjective I believe so how would a mod be able to tell if a thread tagged meme is mistagged? This seems like a topic worth considering as it could very well mean that a meme tag is more of a wildcard tag in a way meaning it could be anything.
Actually, I change my mind. If this thread was mistagged then one of the mods would've spoken up about it being mistagged already.
