I've been drinking a bit so now's the perfect time for me to get sentimental. I want to say a few things about my time here but honestly it's difficult given how mixed my emotions are for this place. Honestly though, my emotions are mixed because Phansite by no means has ever been a perfect place for me. I feel I as a person had a lot to learn when i first joined site. I spectated it for a few days before making that plunge back when I thought I was socially anxious. As it turns out, I never was. Just though I was for a long time. To that extent joining this sight and being part of this community for almost 4 years really did change me as person. I'm sure most from that time know I kinda changed this site too for better or worse. I basically made the first pure rp thread here and only regret doing so sometimes. Regardless, despite all the drama I encountered in the old days I don't regret having the influence I had on this place. I regret a lot of things about early Phansite but not that. I met a lot of people I still have a strong bond with because of that choice. Honestly, it was the first time I really expressed myself out in public even if I was mostly trying to be funny back then. Anyway, not sure I'll really miss this place. As much fun as it was I've definitely outgrown it to a degree. Most of the RP I was involved with here was more of a habit than a necessity. Which is to say we used Phansite as an archive more than anything for a long time. The talk threads have died down for a long time even with people complaining about it for some reason. Point being, while I treasure this place it honestly might've been time for it to go for a good year now and the fact that it has remained up this long says more about Mishima's commitment to the community than anything else. It might be a little cheesy but Mishima always has my respect for having the commitment to turn what was a novel videogame concept into an actual thing. Even if he didn't fully intend for it a community was formed here. One that's endlessly precious to me as a start for me more or less. Anyway, I've rambled long enough. I'd honestly list everyone who I more or less consider a real friend but there's too many at this point, Tatsuya, Kazuya, Kalib, Delta, Nigor, Bona, Haz, PK, Cait, Take... The list goes on for a while and I can't even begin to mention everyone. Well, this isn't the end anyway. Even if the site dies the community will stay together for a while longer. For every 5 upvotes I get I will make a serious review of a Compile Heart's JRPG.

A while back I used to do these RP character fighting game threads but for the most part I kinda ran out of interesting ideas for these. Well, here's one now. Dramatic finishes like in Dragon Ball FighterZ. So, like at the end of a theoretical fighting game a special scene your character might have against another specific one.

Anyone else playing this lately? I've been a bit addicted since I got the game. Was wondering if anyone else plays it here. I've been using the Witch mainly for anyone curious.

Thought it'd be neat to make a thread dedicated to series/games with very similar themes or gameplay to Persona. Off the top of my head I can think of Tokyo Xanadu, it's an action rpg about highschoolers who travel to another world connected to our own and fight embodiments of humanities evil using weapon made from their souls. Pretty easy to see the parallels there. A game that's getting ported to the PC soon that I'm somewhat interested in is Caligula Effect. Has that same highschool setting and other world theme, not to mention it deals with similar concepts of human emotion that I feel Persona often tackles. Given enough time I can probably think of more examples but I also want to hear if anyone else has anything they can think of.
