Games Like Persona
Thought it'd be neat to make a thread dedicated to series/games with very similar themes or gameplay to Persona. Off the top of my head I can think of Tokyo Xanadu, it's an action rpg about highschoolers who travel to another world connected to our own and fight embodiments of humanities evil using weapon made from their souls. Pretty easy to see the parallels there. A game that's getting ported to the PC soon that I'm somewhat interested in is Caligula Effect. Has that same highschool setting and other world theme, not to mention it deals with similar concepts of human emotion that I feel Persona often tackles. Given enough time I can probably think of more examples but I also want to hear if anyone else has anything they can think of.

Mind Zero is a game that comes to mind that is Persona like. All the characters have their own "persona" that they specialize in. You can't change them out, but the game's themes and battle system are closer to Persona Q.
Mishima
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel series is often compared to Persona. Some say it's even better it's really not Danganronpa. While it's not an RPG like Persona it does have a lot of similarities (like the free time events that are reminiscent of Persona's Social Links) Mind Zero is basically a Persona rip off All in all, there are not too many games that are similar, and those who are never live up to Persona's quality anyway The boss theme from Trails of Cold Steel rocks though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ktB7fpuf69M

Danganronpa.danganronpa is a murder mystery visual novel with minigames, while the persona games are jrpgs down to their core. aside from the social aspect, the games are very different in terms of plot and gameplay. i still would highly recommend danganronpa, even though it might not be what you're looking for.

I knew Trails of Cold Steel would be mentioned. What's funny about that is that Trails of Cold Steel and Tokyo Xenodu were made by the same developers. They both even use similar UI for some of their minigames.

The only game I can think of off the top of my head is Lost Dimension, a JRPG thats like if Fire Emblem went 3d with psychic powers and they are trying to climb tarterus while 5 party members are traitors. In between missions you can talk to your party members, ala social link style. Its alot of fun and I only ran into it because of Gamma.

Lost Child? Do you mean that spin off of Innocent Sin, the greatest game in which you recruit demons in a rpg designed and developed in Japan?
