Yomi-no-Kuni: Land of Rage Part 2
OOC: First of all I would like to set some rules to help make this easier to GM. I've had these concerns for a while but I've held back against making them but I feel I need to make some things a little more clear.
1. If a player is targeted directly then I'd like for them to respond first if possible. This is just to make it easier to tell what sequence events happened in as this can be somewhat confusing when the enemy gets attacked before its action is responded to.
2. This applies to this thread specifically but these battles aren't meant to be winnable through sheer force. Starting this thread I'm going to make these fights a lot less forgiving. Seriously, characters will get hurt and these battles will last a while if clever thinking and strategy is not used in these fights.
Anyway, with those two rules out of the way feel free to join in with the explanation of your character jumping into a strange well in the middle of a crater as stated in the first part.
IC: The sun has finally risen in this desolate world as the moaning of shadows begins to calm down or at least what can only be assumed to be the sun. The deep purple haze still hasn't cleared. In fact a new hue seems to be forming within it. It almost seems as if its transitioning to a slight pinkish color but without careful observation it can be hard to determine for sure.
The outside appears to have cleared but the shadowy figure is no where to be seen. The roads are still empty but something of a stranger note can be observed. Compared to yesterday the air feels different, more active. It's as if the world itself is...angry. As if it desperately wants all intruder within to leave. The haze begins to clear enough to see the general area. There's some abandoned stores with the glass broken in as well as a crumbling building with a familiar sign: GYM. It seems the group without realizing it slept in the shopping district last night.
Gamma wakes up against a wall after having slept through most of the night. The first thing they do is stand up and stretch, attempt to work the soreness out of his body. He looks around at the newish mist, before yawning and announcing to his teammates
Ok, anyone makes a comment regarding my hair, and you will find an icicle headed your way. With that out of the way, it seems everything's going pretty well so far, right? *yawn* Honestly I'm almost a little disappointed. Guess I can't complain though.
Stella is still walking her small patrol in front of the door
*Yawns and stares out at the general area as the haze parts.*
Man, feels like we made someone angry yesterday. Maybe it was the fact that we melted an entire subway.
PK noticed a commotion last night and decided to check out the scene of the crime this morning, upon reaching the site he sees a giant black well in the middle of the park, being the mad man he is he jumps down it without a second though
Time to find out what happened last night!
*Takenomi was probably bumbling her way around, not exactly paying enough attention to her surroundings. With a small, chunky pistol at her belt and headphones keeping any sound from flooding into her ears, she'd stumble into what appeared to be a massive crater. She'd quickly pull her headphones down and widen her eyes at the sight.*
What the hell? Was this here before? I swear, the more I try and explore these weird places, the more I get confused. This is gonna get me killed some day isn't it...?
Zero awakens in this desolate place of a city,
"What the..."
He slowly gets up to his feet and checks his functions,
"All systems are normal, but, what happened here?"
He sees a piece of cloth that is flying with the wind. It looks like those remnants of a cloak. He catches it and dons it on as he walks throughout the city.
Tatsuya looks around the area through a window, clearly having been up for a bit by now. He sighs slightly as he notices GYM, seems so depressing to spot the place in this state... Either way he pulls the key from his pocket, and turns over to the rest.
"Oh, seems you lot finally got up huh? Welcome to the land of... Well I wouldn't call this place the land of the living, but welcome anyways. And no one is gonna say shit about your hair Gamma, now then I see GYM over there so that's where we're going next. I want to see if my weapons have been raided from it honestly."
With that he'd set out from the door, walking over to GYM while glancing around the area.
"Ok..."
he follows Tatsuya into GYM
Nn.
With a nod, she leaves her patrol and follows
*Take draws her pistol and sighs, shaking her head. She reluctantly follows Tatsuya since he seems to be the only one making a move so far.*
So uhh... question! What is... any of this? I honestly have no clue what's going on here.
Senri woke up to this cold world for the first time. It seemed no one else was awake yet... She rises from her uncomfortable sleeping position and quickly glances around.
It was easier to see... But still very foggy. Still somehow, Senri didn't feel uncomfortable here. She climbs up the side of a convenience store to gaze out at the shopping district. This seemed familiar... She even saw GYM, a place she has passed by multiple times but never actually went into. As she's analyzing, she hears a familiar voice.
Quite a view, huh? It's not really pretty with the weird haze though.
Senri looked down to her side to see Morgana and smiled. She looked ahead with him.
Good morning, Morgana. I wish I could make you breakfast. Sadly, that'll have to wait until we're out of here.
Ooohh, I hope you reward me for my hard work with a delicious bacon omelette with fried tuna!
You know it. I'd do anything for you.
Senri giggled, and Morgana chuckled with her. Mona stepped to the edge and pointed towards the GYM.
See that place? It stands out, doesn't it? Maybe theres some kinda secret about the world in there, or atleast some great treasure!
You're right... I think when everyone else wakes up, we'll head there if the group is okay with it. I'm not used to working with people... But they're not bad.
Trust them, Senri. After all, I didn't work alone. Despite how tough I wanted to look, I needed great friends to help me change the world... The same applies to you. Let your bonds grow and they'll grow into power. I mean, aren't I great? WE great?
Senri giggled, looking more cheerful than before.
Indeed... We are... Let's try to get better, okay?
Senri quietly stands alone, talking to the voice that does not exist as she waited.
After seeing Tatsuya and the rest roaming about below, Senri climbs back down the ladder and rejoins the group.
Um, Suou-san? Are you referring to that building? I noticed it as well... Do you know it? Is it worth investigating?
It wasn't abnormal for Kalib to miss out on an event, but this time felt different. Upon finding an invitation left in his mailbox, the man would open it up and look it over. With a smile on his face he'd depart from his home. Sure he might be late but visiting a park is always nice.
"What? What is this?"
However, he wasn't prepared to find a crater where the park would've stood.
From street level, a snarky voice rings out over the desolate cityscape.
Always on about the weapons 'n stuff, eh Tatsy? No wonder you don't have many friends. Well, not anymore I suppose.
Hazama pushes the brim of his hat up with one finger, smiling at the group as he leans against a nearby building across the street.
Hey folks, glad to be here. Imagine, I'm just walking around like any 'ol upstanding citizen, when I come across a deep-ass well with a concerning amount of magical energy pouring out of it. Not only that, but it felt just like the presence the other day, the one I called out to that Lavvy was teasing me for. Curious, I took the plunge, and here I am. Didn't think I'd run in to any living people, well by "people" I mean...actual humans, or whatever some of you are.
He turns his gaze to the "GYM" not fat from where he stood, seemingly curious about the place himself.
Gamma sighs and walks after Tatsuya, with little else to do. Soon the group stumbles upon Takeno and Zero, quite convenient. Ex... Wait a moment. Gamma sighs and turns to Takeno
Well, so much for staying away from danger eh? Welcome to the home of a little friend of ours, Chaos. Its gonna be.... Uh... Wild. But don't worry, Tatsu here *Gamma gestures to the brown-haired man taking the front* and I know what we're doing. Just keep calm and it should work out fine.
Listen, I'm gonna be honest with you, trouble just finds me naturally. I don't even look for it. Okay, maybe a little. But hey, what can I say?! Whatever... let's just get to the bottom of this and shoot whatever it is needs shooting. I hate the vibe this place gives off.
The group within Yomi walks over to the GYM. It's exterior is cracked but it seems as if the overall structure still stands firm. The wooden door has a few dents and claw marks embedded in it though. It seems someone tried to kick it down only to get mauled by a group of stray shadows.
Meanwhile, PK lands within Yomi. The area around him is dark and gives off a feeling of being watched by something from the shadows. Little ways away he spots the others walking towards the building known formerly as GYM.
The group back at the park in the normal world see nothing around them but a massive crater.
All live here has been seemingly eradicated but by what's hard to tell. All that can be seen is a massive black well in the middle of the crater. The well gives off a feeling of death as even the water within is a sickly black color.
Huh? *she looks up at Hazama's perch*
This guy already rubs me the wrong way....
So what are we going to do? Go check that fighting place? Is there really something that's going to be useful to us there? That last monster was basically a living sun, I don't think weapons will do much good.
"Egh, this place is starting to annoy me, it reminds me of that time that I was in the desert."
Zero grumbles to himself as he walks in
PK gets up and looks around, ignoring the voices in his head he parades towards the group near the GYM, yelling out to them as loudly as he can
HELLO THERE! HOW ARE YOU!
New blood? Well, the more the merrier, yes?
Senri giggled quietly at Hazama calling them "Normal humans".
No normal human can exist here. Surely you can see that. At any rate, aren't we always sometimes monsters?
Senri was startled by PK's sudden appearance, swinging her katana by instinct and very nearly cutting into his skull, however the blade stops just short of his nose.
What the hell are you doing screaming like that? Are you an idiot?
*Take narrows her eyes at PK and crosses her arms, the look of impatience literally not able to get any stronger than it is now.*
I mean sure, if you want to give them our position right off the bat, why not? It's not like we want to live or anything.
Zero turns around,
"You again!"
he remembers PK because he was the first persona user he ever fought
He looks back at Senri and sighs, didn't he tell her to stop calling him that before?
"Yeah, it's a place I own... In part anyways. And don't call me Suou-san Senri, Tatsuya or Tatsu is fine."
He glares up at Hazama, venom entering the man's voice as soon as he begins to speak.
"I have more friends than you, unless you've become better with people since we last met hmm? Although calling anyone your friend seems like a reach, perhaps useful tool till you feel the need to kill them? Ah but I digress, this world is something akin to the Persona of a Shadow Yu Narukami. He goes by Chaos these days, but either way until he's dealt with we can't leave... So in spite of our issues, I propose we work with each other till this is done Hazama."
With that little offer made he'd turn over to Takeno, wondering where exactly the girl came from.
"And as for you... Nice to meet ya, and too bad it's a place like this but yeah. Like Gamma said we'll do what we can, but not gonna lie this place is bad news. So I really hope you can use that gun and Persona."
And finally he'd move into the GYM... After eyeing the door for traps anyways, assuming he found nothing Tatsu would enter by unlocking the door, and begin searching the place for anything useful.
Stella watches everything with a look of curiosity
Catching sight of PK in the moment before he dives through the well, Kalib would reach out and yell.
"NO, YOU FOOL!"
Taking a deep breath, he steadies his nerves...to no avail.
The feeling of dread he gets from the liquid has him glued in place.
"Ha...ha...no time to get cold feet....I died before after all..."
Even though he's shaking, he looks down into the crater and swallows hard.
"Heh...everyone loves an underdog story..."
With a nod, he jumps into the crater and slides down into the well.
Gamma sighs and takes a deep breath, before looking back over his shoulder at Hazama
So, are you here to talk down to us or help? I mean, I don't really care whatever you feel like doing, but this might not be the best spot for sarcasm, apocalyptic place and all
Gamma shrugs, not really his business what happens, instead he looks back over to Takeno, one eyebrow raised
So you just normally find yourself wandering into.... actually I don't know, what does this place look like from outside? I kinda got dragged in at the start. Anyways, I seriously doubt it looked like anything good.
Gamma sighs and walks to the front door of the building, its obviously seen better days, but that's to be expected
Still, not like I can judge. Walking into suspicious territory is like a pasttime or something
And there goes PK again, just... Well, just try not to get too annoyed. He's loud but has a good heart. I think.
Hazama bows, his smile never fading.
Why, that sounds LOVELY, Tatsuya. For today, consider us...and everyone else here; allies.
As he follows Tatsuya inside, he would wince at PK's outburst, seemingly annoyed.
Ugh...even him.
PK gives a small shout out at the sudden swing of the blade, holding his hands up in surrender
Gah! I was only being friendly! You should always greet people with a smile and a good day right! Its the Pancake Knight Code!
PK then turns to Takeno with a tilted head, absolutely confused
Eh! What do you mean? There are no enemies her-
PK then stops mid-sentence as he looks at Hazama, drawing his laser blade and pointing it at him
You there! Foul fiend! What are you doing here!
*Take takes a glance at Hazama, seeming less eager to harm him than pretty much everyone else in the room.*
Hey now, I get he looks kinda creepy, but there's no need to threaten people. I'm sure he can't be that bad... right? This is the part where I get proven wrong isn't it? Mhm. Okay.
The GYM is dusty and the furniture within is cracked and broken mostly. The arena is still somewhat in one piece. The flooring of it is somewhat cracked and burned as if people were using it to train at one time without any means to repair it.
Most of the weapons and equipment are broken and rusted as well from lack of any care. The only stuff that's still fine is a few weapons made from a stainless steel. They're light and sharp but they'll break easily if used improperly.
Meanwhile, Kalib also arrives as well within the desolate world. He awakens on the group as if he had been sleeping for a while. He notices some others gathering around a building that's oh so familiar to him. Beyond that, the world around him is still a dark and desolate nightmare where no life remains.
He looks over his shoulder at Haz, sounding less hostile and more... Wary, he'll work with Haz sure. But he's not gonna try and pretend to trust the man in th least.
"Sure Hazama, for now we're allies. But I haven't forgiven or forgotten the Susanoo incident. One day that will become an issue, but for now Susanoo is nowhere to be found and Chaos is right before us."
Tatsu raises his hand up to PK in a stop motion, normally he'd be inclined to help the boy in that fight. But now isn't normal.
"PK, drop it for now. Haz isn't a good person. I know, you know it. Everyone is well aware, but we have greater threats and for now our goals are one. Therefore it'd be best to save our energy for fights that need to happen."
*Shrugs and follows everyone else in, since it seems they have decided, taking a look around.*
Well, this seems to be a waste of time. Everything's broken. How long has this place been like this?

Zero says to PK, putting his hand on his sword hilt as if to lower it, "Besides, we have more important things to do right now."
Gamma takes one look at his now-bent staff and sighs, heading over to the weapons in search of something suitable to replace it. Meanwhile he addresses the rest of the group
Look, I have no idea what this "Susanoo" thing you're talking about is, but last I checked Hazama was just kinda a jerk. *shrug* Not like there's anything wrong with that. Still, you make it sound like he's supposed to be evil or something.
Gamma sighs and probably finds something acceptable, be it a spear or a simple steel bar, it would do
Odds are this place has been broken for a very long time. Months at least. Not sure if you noticed the apocalypse miss...... Uh...... Water chick? I have no idea what I'm supposed to call you.
Ignoring PK entirely, Hazama looks around the building with a neutral look on his face.
What a dump, same as usual I guess. These weapons seem...iffy. Whatever, this place is pretty prolific in that "Nexus", surely there's something of actual value here.
Senri, upon realizing that this person... Clearly wasn't a threat, withdrew her blade. This was the lemming that reached for a potential explosive. Figures.
Maybe not sneak up on people as you greet them in a place like this? It's going to get you killed. But I digress... Be careful.
Senri turned to Tatsuya and smiled awkwardly. Formality took over again despite her trying not to be that person anymore...
My apologies, umm, Tatsuya. It's just different to address someone on a first name basis, and someone older than me at that.
Senri wondered about Tatsuya's hostility towards the man with green hair, whom he called Hazama. Did something happen between them? For now, she shrugs as she follows into the GYM.
What a mess. It's like something out of Fallout... I guess there may be some things to salvage here though. Maybe something suitable for everyone, or supplies?
Senri quickly begins scavenging like a looter. The Black Samurai behaved suspiciously raider-like.
"Well, at least I have these still attached to me." Zero unsheathes his Z-saber from his side holdster, but doesn't activate it.
PK instantly puts away his sword upon hearing they were working together, regaining his casual posture
Oh! Okay! Let's work together then! Now then! Onto more important things! Protein!
PK then runs behind the GYM counter and begins to raid the fridge for protein shakes, mix, dust, bars anything he can get his hands on
"To sum up Gamma? Susanoo is another so called god who vowed death upon us all as soon as he woke up... Fun part is he's actually nigh impossible to hurt as far as I've seen, we barely got rid of the bastard when he was weakened from having been out of commission for who knows how long. So yeah, if you didn't see that I'd understand thinking Hazama isn't more than an asshole."
With that he looks down at the weapons, nothing Tatsu himself needs given the quality of his arsenal... But it might be useful to someone else.
"Anyways Haz is right, this shit will hurt someone, but it'll break fast if you don't use it just right. Fucking stainless steel weapons, whoever made these ain't Em that's for sure."

He stands up groggily and looks around. The fear only seems to swell as he gathers his bearings, however, seeing familiar faces is enough to allow him to calm his nerves. He then moves into to the shell of what appeared to be GYM.
"H-Hey guys!"
Kalib stands within the doorway and looks around at the new faces and the old. His eyes going wide as he notices Hazama.
"PK! You're safe! Thank goodness!"
He'd turn to face Tatsuya.
"Hey, Tatsu! What's going on here?"
Nothing f note can be found in the gym besides weapons of all kinds made of the stainless steel,
however, one of the weapons, particularly a staff, has a small stone embedded in it. It seems thicker and sturdier than the rest as well.
Suddenly, something else of note can be seen within the building. A door that wasn't there before appears on the far wall. It's red in color and seems to have a strange lock on top of it. A note is tied to the side of the door reading, "Call out my true name."
PK does, in fact, find protein shakes, as well.

Tatsu looks over to Kalib with a sigh... It's good to see him, but frankly he'd rather his friend weren't involved in this mess.
"Long story, but to sum up. Yu's evil shadow from another universe has this hellhole as a Persona, it's filled with copies of people he killed too. Which is to say an entire Nexus of people. So in summary, I'm not a fan of the man who calls himself Chaos."
Huh? Hey, what's that?
*she points to the recently-appeared door*
It looks like there's some kind of note on it.
*she runs over and mumbles as she reads*
True name? Psh, how should I know? Lee? Bob? Alfonso? Sasuke?
PK turns to Kalib and waves to him happily, responding somewhat confused
Of course I'm safe! It's going to take allot more then a simple hole to keep a Pancake Knight down! Too bad there isn't any protein here!
PK then notices the door and moves towards it, ignoring the piece of paper and kicking the door with his foot, opening it that way instead of, well, doing anything normal
*Take widens her eyes at the explanation, rubbing the back of her head and letting out a surprised whistle.*
So What you're saying is we're in deep shit, huh? Not only did I only understand half of that, but the half I did understand is literally all bad! How the hell do you piss these people off?!

Gamma grins and grabs the steel staff to replace his old one. Not sure what the gem's for, but its probably nothing important. Just to check, Gamma rubs the gem a little, polishing it, and seeing if anything happens
Honestly Tatsu, it kinda feels like your exaggerating. I mean.... Nothing's literally invincible. Far as I've seen at least. And I've been here almost as long as you have, so I think its safe to say I've seen a lot
Gamma keeps his attention on the staff for now, failing to notice the new door's appearance.
Continues to watch in curiosity
"I find it hard to believe Yu's Shadow could be capable of that. I trust Yu, so I refuse to believe it's his Shadow alone that caused this. But thanks for catching me up!"
Kalib nods at Tatsu's summary as he continues looking around the otherworldly GYM. His eyes catch sight of a door that wasn't there a moment ago.
"Well that's definitely new."
He walks over to the door and ponders the meaning of the note.
"True name, huh?"
Senri is a little disappointed to come up with nothing of value. If only she had bottomless pockets...
She returned to the group. She noticed a new face, but didn't feel like doing anymore introductions with the party member number stacking. The door as well...
There's nothing really of note, not anything better than what we brought anyway.
There's also that strange door... Perhaps we should investigate?
Tatsuya walks over to the door, casually reading the note before he begins to examine the door and more importantly lock. If anything is off about mechanically he'd spot that easily. His search for any odd magic, is less surefire, but given the man's experience he's got a decent shot... Hopefully. He absently responds to Takeno without taking focus off his work.
"I mean, to start with he murdered Yu Narukami to become real in another universe, then nobody liked him much so that made him go evil. Or so he says, personally I just want to know why he was even allowed to exist. But that's another story, anyways he hates me because even in death all I did was try to end life once and for all. Like I'd give that bastard the satisfaction of getting to kill me. Anyways, apparently Chaos dislikes being made to burn alive over and over, who'd of thought?"
*Take looks over to Gamma and gives a cocky grin, twirling her brick-like handgun.*
Well, no matter how many earthly constraints they ignore, they sure as hell can't ignore earthly bullets.
*She stomps again and growls angrily at PK.*
What part of quiet do you not understand?! It's two syllables and yet somehow you're ignoring both of them!!!
Sees the note
....... Door.
What do you mean! Isn't this how you open doors! This is how we do it in my home town! Have at thee door!
PK's foot begins throbbing as the door remains undamaged. It seems oddly enough like the door somehow hurt him even more than a usual door would from striking it.
Seeing as how the door doesn't open, she tries again
My True Name....
Tatsu stops looking over the door for a moment, casually pulling PK away to stop the guy from causing himself harm.
"It's been reinforced PK, I'm not even totally sure my bombs would take this stupid thing down yet. So your foot isn't gonna do a dammed thing, just lemme take a crack at this one okay?"
What that he'd smirk at the Knight, hoping to persuade PK into stepping back for now.
"Well, whomever this 'Chaos' person is, he must be the cause of how the world is, as it turned to shit"
Okay so kicking down the door is out. Anyone got an idea who the fake name is? The owner doesn't use a fake name, does he?
Oh! What if they mean the name of who that black-haired freak used to be?
Yu Narukami was it?
*Take seems a little fed up and looks around.*
Would it be a good idea to get my Persona to try and hit it? Actually I dunno if he'd fit in here.... nah, the ceiling's low enough, should I try it?
PK jumps back holding his foot as he hobbles around for a bit, before walking back up to the door, determination flaring in his eyes, using his other foot this time he swings his foot back completely before striking with all of his force into the door
I won't lose door! I can't lose! All of my friends are counting on me!
PANCAKE KICK
Hazama presses a finger to his chin, thinking about the situation.
This place...who do we associate it with? The one in the hat, Kalib owns it right? There's also the kid who slept here, Tatsy frequents the place, as does...ugh, PK. There are a lot of people. Though, I suppose we should start with the safest bet.
Hazama knocks on the door, and speaks clearly.
Kalib.
"If this doesn't work, I'll try with the buster shot." Zero picks up his buster shot pistol that he carries on his back
*Take looks at Hazama and narrows her eyes, placing her hand on her forehead.*
If that works it'll be too soon. For once being aggressive with a door didn't work...
She shouts a little louder
My True Name!
"Not yet, worst comes to worst I'll try and pick the lock before using that much brute force... And about that, it's kinda not possible. Unless you happened to fight a terrible monster shadow version of yourself before meeting us? That would be great honestly. Less work is a good thing."
Unfortunately, without further context, I cannot assist in this riddle... You seem to know more about this Chaos person than most of us, Tatsuya.
Senri kind of wanted to stop PK, but at the same time, it was entertaining, like watching a hamster in a hamster ball.
PK striking the door makes quite a noise, so Gamma puts the new staff in a bag on his back, in easy reach, before walking over to the door. He sighs and calmly looks back over to Takeno
Oh yeah, Persona situation. Good news and bad news on that. Here, most people can use their persona's magic, but can't summon the actual thing.
Gamma waves over to Tatsuya, in an attempt to get his attention
Me and Tatsu here got access to ours after beating a version of ourselves from this alternate timeline. So we've got a little more firepower than most.
Gamma then briefly looks between PK and Zero, and sighs
The door looks like magic. Please don't waste your energy attacking it....
Should I.... Should I restrain PK? He looks like he might hurt himself
Kalib grabs PK by the collar and holds him back.
"PK... The adults are talking."
He then raises his free hand to his chin and loses himself for a moment.
"Perhaps...no that would be too easy."
He continues muttering to himself silently.
"Please do, whatever he will do is pretty damn stupid."
He shrugs at the door, one name coming to mind above anything else.
"Yomi-no-Kuni."
Tatsuya stares at the thing curiously, if it's related to Chaos that's all the likely names down at this point.
Wait a tick, persona's magic? I don't even know if my persona has magic! He's just better at hitting people than I am. I mean... I guess I never tried...
*She examines her belt, decorated with a few small ammo belt and what looked like an extended barrel, but no actually useful tools for the situation.*
Suddenly, she has a look of realization
Paper!
OOC: Forgot to add one thing. This world limits Persona usage. Personas cannot be summoned but their magic and abilities can be used as the personas own though they are somewhat weaker. Sorry that I forgot to include this detail.
IC:None of the names seem to have any effect on the door. It seems that typical means won't open it either as PK continues trying to kick it only to be the one hurt instead. Suddenly, a voice rings out from behind the group.
???: "What a load of idiots. Can't you all even figure out how to open a door? Guess this is why you're all dead in this world though. Your other selves of course."
Behind them stands a figure made from a cloud of swirling red energy. Their figure resembles Chaos in some ways and you can tell that they aren't too happy.
Suddenly as Tatsuya chimes up with his own guess the lock falls off the door in a loud clank. The red figure rushes ahead beyond the door slamming it loudly as they go.
???: "Alright, idiots. Time's a wasting. Move it or I will leave you behind!"
The figure rushes forth into the red haze ahead making it hard to see yet never impossible to keep track of for some reason.
... "How new are you to this? Yeah most have magic, I've seen very few that are incapable of casting anything."
The man utters a few words as he turns over to her, flames bursting up around his right hand as he extends it towards Takeno for a moment. Quickly putting them out once he's sure she saw.
"That's just one of Apollo's skills, but I won't bore you with all the details. Just try to figure out what you've got pretty quick is all I can say."
With that done he'd dart after Zero and the figure, a silver gun forming in his hands just in case he happens to need it.

"I'm going after him!" Zero rushes forward towards the figure
Hey! Hold on! Chaos!?!
PK then runs- well, hobbles as both of his feet are probably not doing so well as he breaks from Kalib's hold, hobbling into the haze with no regard to his personal safety
Wait! We don't even know who that was! *she sighs as Zero runs off....*
Do we follow him? Or just let him die?

Smiling morbidly as if she's having fun, Senri enters the door with the others.
*Her eyes open up again once more as she starts clapping excitedly.*
Pretty new. I've done some basic expeditions into Mementos on my own time, but I really don't know a lot about what's going on out here. The most I know about my Persona is what he looks like, his name, and how to call him. I guess if I tried hard enough...
*She raises her hand and focuses quite intensely. For at least a minute nothing would happen. Not much later however, a ball of psy-aspected energy would appear for a moment before disappearing immediately.*
Whoah! W-Was that it?
*Not long after her own self revelation, she looks around, holding up her pistol and aiming down the sights of it.*

The presence was enough to send waves of fear through Kalib again. He instinctively puts his guard up as the figure rushes past. The sound of the door slamming was his cue to let out a large sigh.
"W-was that Chaos?"
He swallows hard again before entering the door after the group.
He hears the sound of magic going off for a moment and looks back to Takeno with a grin, not bad for a newbie... Not bad at all. The element however he's got no real advice on, beyond some basic thoughts after having seen others use it.
"Psy huh? Well don't worry too much about doing anything crazy quite yet. But I guess if you wanna toy with it try moving something remotely? I've never used that element so I'm no expert... Now if you had fire or light those I could say plenty about."
Hazama claps, and watches as the group disappears into the red mist.
So hasty. The again, not much to do, otherwise. Shall we?
Such, Hazama would follow the group without so much as a wince.
"No time to lose! This guy may be able to tell us what the heck happened here, so let's move!"
Zero calls out to the rest as he dashes on ahead

Gamma is interrupted by the opening of the door. He watches the others run in headfirst, and sighs before following. Waving for Takeno to follow behind him
Well, nevermind. Seems like you mostly have the hang of it. No real better place to learn application than on the fly. Just be careful, try not to get hurt too badly, and here we go.
*Take scuttles after Gamma, clumsily keeping herself from falling over so she can keep up.*
Sheesh, I'm not a runner! S-Slow down! Oh why do I do this to myself...?
As the group follows the figure through the red haze they notice that the ground is mostly made of uneven stones and a large amount of dead trees stand just beyond the haze. No matter how fast they move through the figure seem to constantly be out of reach. Despite being a considerable amount ahead the figure can be heard clearly by the whole group.
???: "People are the worst, aren't they? Just a bunch of idiots who think they know someone the minute they're born. I tried to give them all a chance, y'know. But in the end, it just wasn't worth it...Even if they accept me they never looked at me as anything more than just some freak of nature. They'll always hold the death of their friend over me. That's how it is though, life sucks so we might as well all suffer together."
"Gh?! What does he mean?!"
Zero looks astonished at this, yet, he decides to keep on moving forward, "Even if you think we think that your just some freak of nature, why do you just put yourself as such for all of this?!"
PK continues to run through the fog, as he tries to keep up with Chaos, almost tripping on a few cracks as he slips up but keeps running
No! That's not true! Everyone has good in their hearts! Even the worst of villans hold a bit of good will inside of them! Even you! I believe that your fine the way you are!
Senri listened to the voice as she walked. Her expression became one of a familiar sadness. She knew what it was like, feeling that way, being treated like a freak... Was this Chaos? Perhaps there's more to this than Senri thought.
Stella fires her cannon at the figure as she continues to run

Hazama walks forward, his thumbs in his pockets and hands placed on his hips.
Ah, what a truly tragic tale. Still, you DID kill their friend, right? You don't seem to feel to bad. Perhaps there's a reason you're all alone, a monster like you doesn't deserve anyone, after all.
He smirks, happy to prod at anything he thinks might trigger a reaction.
Huh? What are you talking about now? Death of a friend? I haven't had any friends die, and if I did, so long as it was an accident I wouldn't hold it over anyone.... well, for long anyway!
*This did a lot of good with the last fight, but Haruko decides to try talking again.*
Gonna be honest, don't think he cares for your words of sympathy if he's got a mentality like that!
*Take barely managed to speak in between her tired huffs as she continued to sprint, occasionally slowing down a bit as she trips over herself.*
Gamma slows down a little, looking at the crystal in the palm of his hand
Look..... I.... *sigh* If you give them a chance, people really aren't as bad as you make them out to be. Sure, they're out for themselves, maybe... Well, who knows how the other person feels.
Gamma takes a deep breath, before crushing the small crystal in his hand, letting the ice slide through the cracks, and giving himself some small cuts in the process
But if you don't acknowledge them, refuse to give anyone a chance. You'll hurt yourself in the long run. I.... *sigh* Sure, it'll hurt, maybe it'll suck, but, well. Its still worth a shot. Isn't it?
Gamma pauses and looks down at his cut hand, stopping, and letting the others walk ahead of him
"Oh quit being a whiny ass bitch Chaos, or some shard of Chaos? Whatever I don't care."
Flames dance around Tatsuya as he speaks, the man's voice coming out clear and sure as he stares down the figure even from this range.
"So what if people didn't accept you? Not everyone was friends with Yu, and I don't believe everyone felt that way either. Life can be hard, life can be painful..."
He balls his right hand up into a fist, holding it out towards presumed Chaos for a moment.
"But even so, I refuse to believe that life is nothing more than just suffering. Amidst all the pain and hardship there's goodness to be found as well, somewhere out there anyone can find someone to stand alongside... Heh, even a paranoid old bastard like me can find friends worth fighting for."
The man reaches down and pulls out his light, absently using his magic to toy with the flames of the thing. Before the flames roar up to punctuate his final statement.
"Say what you will, but I for once refuse to just accept that suffering... So go ahead and say whatever you want! But I'll find my own way of doing things and shatter your little game!"
With that he'd stow the lighter and draw his gun once more, Apollo bursting to life behind him in a burst of fire as Tatsuya himself looks over the nearby area. Best to try and figure out if anything notable is around before the fight starts.
Kalib shakes his head violently as he continues the chase.
"O-Of course they'd think that...but that doesn't mean you're beyond redemption! I won't pretend to know anything about you, but I won't let that stop me from learning the truth about you!"
He clenches his fists and increases his pace.
"The truth may hurt, but I was taught just how important it is! I'll prove to you that there is good inside people!"
Well I guess we're all making speeches, huh? Listen, I don't know what you've been through and I won't pretend like I do. But no one deserves to suffer just cuz things didn't go your way! And I sure as hell won't let this happen!
*Take finally managed to reach a pace she was comfortable with, holding her pistol in a readied position.*
So we'll give you a chance! You got two choices pal! Fix the problem you've gotten yourself into, or accept it and deal with the consequences!
"Wait...CHAOS?!" Zero vaguely remembers who or WHAT Chaos even is. Yet he continues on forward. He remembers the promise he made to a friend a while ago. He decides to keep it.
The figure continues moving forward. The bullets fired by Stella seemingly hit nothing but the figure begins drawing close as the group starts to catch up. The voice once again rings out with a clear tone.
???: "Why wouldn't I prove them all right? You have to accept what you are at some point."
???: "Still as naive as ever. Why are you so insistent on this good thing? Not like it ever did anyone any favors..."
The entity's tone perks up with Hazama's words.
???: "Someone gets it. They could never forgive such a horrible monster, right? It's only natural that a 'monster' would act the way it did."
???: "It wasn't an accident...It was my purpose. It was what I was born to do...Could someone born for such a purpose have ever been anything but a beast, to begin with?"
???: "Give them a chance? They never gave me a chance...I've always been alone...Maybe none of you really understand...but this was my chance...Are you certain such a thing was truly unnecessary? That someone like me could find redemption?
The figure finally stops as the group reaches a small clearing free of the haze. It's encircled with dead trees and grass.
???: Perhaps you need to see first-hand. See what happens when I'm given a chance...
The figure holds out its hand and looks over to the group. For some reason, it feels as though only one person could step up to them at this moment.
The desire to do something snapped Kalib out of his fearful stupor as he walks up to the being and reaches out to its hand.
"Fine. Let's play."
Hazama's interests were piqued, he didn't get angry after all. Hell,
he seemed to appreciate Hazama's attempt at mocking. Still, he hangs back, letting someone else take the wheel.
"What do you mean?" Zero stops as the figure stops. Curious about what may happen. Needless to say, he decides him talking to the figure is not the best of all options.
*Take lowers her gun, probably to avoid angering the figure. She stares intently, deciding to hang back.*
What is he doing...?
*Unlike the others who might be lowering their guard, Haruko raises her's.*
This is like last time. Red coat there talked to this thing, then that fire monster appeared.
Stella's gun is still aimed at the thing
Gamma sighs and closes his eyes. He wasn't planning on doing anything, but opens them to glance over at Takeno
Well, if I were to guess, poor Klib here is going to see how Chaos killed him. Then we get to fight a shadow monster like Tatsu described, and so on and so forth. Kinda brutal if you ask me. And really unnecessary.
Gamma opens his eyes and smiles at the figure, he seems rather calm
As for you, Yu. You chose to be alone. You were scared of being rejected, so you lashed out, terrified of what might happen if you actually let someone in. It.... Yes, the world is terrifying. But that's no reason to lash out at it.
Nngh...
PK for once has nothing to say, as he tries to open his mouth to say something before he closes it again, looking down on the floor with a hurt look on his face
"Oh boy, time to see what kinda shadow this one is. Okay everyone get ready for a big fight!"
He nods in agreement with Gamma. Before moving closer to the figure, given what Kalib can do if anyone needs to be near that thing... In this case he'd fit the bill. Of course there's nothing to say it will appear from the point Chaos is near, but he's making a guess.
Ah, welp it's been fun and I hate to leave before things get good, but I have a bound-up witch to babysit. Toodles!
Cutting a hole in space, Hazama vanishes from the area.
Senri watches intently. As she observed, she seemed to hold onto something small next to her, though nothing was there to grab. Somehow, she didn't see this going well for the person who stepped up. She pondered the words that everyone said, as well as what she heard earlier...
They're right, you know... I hope he comes to his senses. an unheard voice said.
...Me too...
A shadow? Well that I can deal with. Lotan come!
*She pointed her finger forward, only to retract her hand and bite her lip briefly.*
Right... No personas. Uhh... Handgun come forth!
*Take raised her gun once again, her confidence having been reclaimed.*
“An enemy?†Zero grabs for his Z-saber on instinct and activates it
The figure looks into Kalib's eyes with a red glow. Soon the glow enters Kalib's mind and he is taken over by a vision.
In the vision, he sees a flood of shadows lining the streets all walking to one point. At that point is a circle where Tatsuya and Kalib are fighting the army as they try to run towards a strange tower.Both of them are a little worse for wear but they seem fine for the most part. As they reach the end of the block the tower is only a little ways away.
They both seem to smile at each other briefly as they begin walking towards the tower. Suddenly,
yellow eyes gleam from them as across a bridge leading to the city block with the tower. Chaos stands before them. Tatsuya and Kalib stand ready to fight with their weapon drawn as Chaos snaps his fingers. Suddenly a shadowy arm forms out of the water to try and cling onto Tatsuya by smashing through the bridge. Kalib seeing the arms attempt to Grab Tatsuya knocks him out of the way as the grip of the arm tightens around him.
The arm holds him in the air as Tatsuya summons Apollos and throws a wave of fire at Kalib and the hand knowing it wouldn't harm him. The fire simply turns into steam as the arms form seems to liquify slightly but its grip on Kalib never loosens. Chaos begins walking away as the arm pulls Kalib down into the nearby river. Tatsuya pulls out his sword and slashes at the arm furiously while shouting. The slashes simply seem to phase through it as it pulls Kalib down into the water below.
Chaos looks back once more before vanishing into the shadows. The image transitions as a second-hand wraps around him. His face is filled with fear as the unknown creature holds him still before he finally draws his final breath in a watery grave. The image turns to static as the next scene shows Kalibs lifeless body on the shore of the beach. Tatsuya stands over it as he flicks his lighter and burns the body. He walks away with a solemn look. Something has changed in his eyes as he walks to the tower.
A moment later the fire around Kalib grows more intense as Roland bursts forth from it. Kalib's body turns into a raging black flame before surrounding Roland and being absorbed into his body. The vision fades to darkness before Kalib is brought back to his senses.
An inhuman roar is heard in the distance.
*Despite knowing what was coming.... Haruko still shudders at the sudden roar.*
Here it comes. And whatever "it" is, it sounds a lot more.... beefy than the last one.
Turns to the direction of the roar and prepares for battle
Gamma takes a deep breath, twitching a little before he turns to the group
Ok, who wants to bet it has something to do with fire. Again. Something to do with fire again.
Gamma yawns and puts both arms behind his head, stealthily reaching for the staff on his back
So, care to tell Klib? Or would you rather we guessed. Not that its a big deal either way. Dealer's choice and all.
PK snaps back into reality as he hears the loud roar, drawing his laser blade as he looks around him, shouting to the party
Is everyone ready! Looks like we are in for a fight!
Something's coming. Are you ready?
...I am.
Senri draws her katana and looks out into the distance, looking for whatever may come.
Fire? I'm guessing from that roar it's some kind of animal monster.
And guess what? What he saw? Probably saw that weirdo be forgiven and then go out of control and kill someone.
The vision leaves Kalib standing dumbfounded. His body shaking with fear. He grabs the sides of his head as the roar is heard. He tries to speak but only whispers leave his lips.
"...How many? How many did I fail to save?"
He lets go of the hand and turns around to his group, however seeing each and every one of them was enough to stop the shaking. He gave them a grin as his eyes begin to glow with ethereal, blue flames.
"Well then..."
He cracks his knuckles.
"...everyone loves an underdog story!"
Gamma's words caught him off guard, but he nods.
"I was with Tatsuya. We were ambushed by Chaos before getting to a tower...and Tatsu...he was grabbed by a massive arm and I had to do something... But I couldn't save us both. After freeing him, I was caught...and held underwater until I drowned."
He shudders before heading towards the roar.
"This time it's different. I won't let any of you die, nor will I let myself!"
"Knowing him... It likely had something to do with me, but that's a talk for another time."
Tatsuya would then run after Stella, stowing his blade given it's fire basis. And instead drawing a pair of gauntlets from his coat, quickly slipping them onto his hands as he looks forward... Whatever the hell Roland made it can't be good, not to mention Tatsu feels a bit uncomfortable with the whole fighting a result of Kalib's death thing. The man hears Kalib speaking, sighing to himself as he realizes that Kalib actually gave his life up for... Tch, he's lost too many friends.
"I'll kick your ass if you ever pull something like that... No one needs to be dying for me Kalib, least of all you."
The sound of trees falling echoes in the distance before in a flurry of flames a massive goliath coated in heavy metallic armor with a blazing sword and pitch black shiels as big as its body appears while pushing a tree over. It has no mouth and only two fiery eyes as it stares down the group.
It doesn't hesitate to let out a roar before slashing across the field with its fiery sword chopping any trees in the swords path down in the process. The beast prepares to raise the shield immediately after it swings.
Gamma mutters something under his breath about "stupid.... Blazing" as soon as the creature appears. He focuses and, without actually summoning his Persona, launches one medium-sized icicle at the creature's chest, where its heart would be
Knew it. Always hate-
Gamma is cut off by the slash, and dives for the ground. The massive, blazing sword passes over his head, the heat the sword gives off isn't comfortable, but the biggest issue is probably the tree falling in their direction. Gamma does his best to avoid it by rollling, but is scratched by the branches as he gets out of the way
Freaking. Fire. Elements.... Oh wait, is the plan to start a forest fire here? Please don't, I need the moisture.
Well at least it doesn't seem hot as a sun!
*Tries to create some water between herself and the fire slash, hoping that'll at least null out the fire element on the attack!*
Kalib stands his ground as he eyes the beast.
"Nice to meet you, Kalib!"
Kalib quickly grabs his...uh oh...he forgot to grab a weapon in the earlier rush to chase Chaos! Seeing the blade coming across the field would give him an idea. He quickly flattens himself to the ground in an effort to dodge the blade.
"We can channel our Personas, right? Here goes..."
His breathing slows as he remains on the ground, a small blue light forming in his right hand.
"COME FORTH, DURENDAL!"
The light in his hand erupts into a mighty blue flame that travels up his forearm. In a flash, he is equipped with a gauntlet made of blue steel and he holds a wispy blue sword.
"Looks like this is all I can muster right now."
PK braces himself as a wave of fire crashes into him, burning him as he prepares for a counter attack
Ack! Time to repay the favour! Fusion! Waffles....?
PK then raises his arm into the air as he expects his personas to fuse into Waffles, seeing nothing happens he shakes himself and tries again
Well then Fusion! Breakfast Swords!
PK then holds out his arms and prepares to catch a pair of nonexistent swords, looking dumbfounded
Huh?!? I can't use my fusion ability? Guess I'll have to rely on my sword! Here we go!
PK then runs towards the Goliath, jumping over fallen trees as he uses his laser blade to strike at the Achilles Tendon, trying to topple the figure
Senri is surprised by the sheer size of the enemy. This one was going to be tricky. Especially with that armor. Maybe like in that one game, she could...
She doesn't have much time to think, however, as the sword comes quick despite its size. Senri falls limply forward to avoid the blade. The imminent destruction is intimidating...
As she raises herself back up and sees the shield, it was clear a traditional battle was out the window. Maybe if she could get to the exposed face...
I'm going for it. Keep it busy.
Seeing PKs bold rush, this just may work. She runs behind the sea of debris caused by the titans sword, trying to get closer without being detected.
Stella, already prepared for battle, attempts to duck under the swing with a boost, then seeing it shield itself, Stella activates her booster and attempts to run around it, before firing a charged shot at it's back
OVERHEAT 3
The blade slams towards Tatsuya, the man himself raising his armored hands to block the blow.
The blow still sends him reeling, but thankfully the flames simply crash against him harmlessly. Apollo comes in handy sometimes.
"Hmm so then trees are falling, place is burning... Okay I've got, something anyways!"
With that, just as before a pair of grappling hooks form on his hands. This time made of light rather than darkness. One of them quickly shoots across the field to latch onto the top of a tree behind their foe, Tatsu looking down at the thing for a moment. A slight smirk forming as he attempts to shoot into it's shoulder. Assuming the man latched on he'd then begin slamming his fits into it's neck, light magic flowing through the gauntlets as he does so.
The goliath raises its shield blocking Gamma's icicle as it shatters to pieces. The creature roars once more as it slams its shield on the ground causing the ground to shake wildly.
The water puts out the sword momentarily and keeps it from reigniting until the water evaporates.
Kalib has a cool new sword and narrowly dodges the blade.
Pk rushes in with his sword trying to topple the beast but as his laser blade makes contact it stops unable to even pierce the beast's skin.
Senri tries to sneak around but the vibration going through the ground may make it difficult.
Stella boosts past the sword and rushes up to the shield when suddenly the shield reels back...before being pushed forward with full force aimed right at Stella.
Tatsuya latches onto the tree and the latches onto the monsters shoulder as he zooms up to its kneck much faster than anticipated causing a punch that flows throughout the creature's body from the inside out. The goliath falls back as it barely catches itself and holds its head.
Angered the beast rises once again and the flames around it grow dark. The sword reignites with the dark flames as the water evaporates instantly. It puts out its shield in front of it before slashing with the blade causing a massive wave of dark flames to ignite the dead grass in the area. The flames spread everywhere as the grass flows around. The beast slams the shield against the ground once more to try and make everyone lose their balance.
Stella is thrown far back as the shield makes contact with her, falling behind the party
OVERHEAT: 30
BEGINNING COOLDOWN
Dark flames now!? *tries blocking the sword strike but the ground shaking leaves her awkwardly stumbling back up from the ground... where it and the sword had deposited her.*
This is bad. Think we could try that giant icicle trick again? Anyone!?
Woah! Woah! Gahh! Fire! Hot hot!
PK catches on fire almost instantly on contact as he rolls on the floor, trying to put it out as soon as possible, taking heavy damage in the process as he prepares for the next strike
Just cutting it won't work! Let's try this then! Haaaaah!
PK then sets his laser sword to ice mode as he sticks it right onto the Goliath's shoes, sending power straight from his own energy reserves, in the form of electricity into the blade, trying to spread ice all over its shoe to impair it's movement
Come on! More power!
Senri managed to get a certain distance to the side of the titan despite the chaos. It was difficult sneaking in an earthquake... Alas, Senri was too fragile to resist the shield slamming on the ground and subsequently fell forward, dragging across the ground and burning grass. The fire ate at her skin and uniform, singing it slightly and giving her some painful skin burns. This was more painful without her armor...
She raises herself, trying to suck in the pain and ignore her burns. She was close enough now, at the calf of the giants leg. With the fire, it would be impossible to climb up, but...
Pulling herself up, Senri taps into Manias power and casts a Bufuladyne on the giant from the back, trying to shoot a trail up from its leg to its skull.
Tatsu grabs onto his foe, letting go of the hook to instead grip it directly as he attempts to keep himself on the foe. Assuming the man pulled it off, he'd then switch it up a bit. Aiming to wrap a rope made from light around the beast's neck entirely this time. Before quickly summoning his Persona to grab onto it and begin pulling the rope downwards, no telling if the thing can choke. But it should be stunned.
If on the other hand he fell down from the thing, Tatsuya would after pulling himself up quickly draw a flashbang, aiming the weapon straight for his foes head. Hopefully even if it were to block the light would still do something.
Kalib stabs his blade into the ground to steady himself as he stands after the first shield strike.
"Alright. I've got a weapon and now I'm ready, Kalib. You'll be free soon!"
Kalib grins to hide his nervousness as he begins charging towards the figure through the flames, wincing slightly. He reaches out his left hand as light begins forming in it.
"I need a boost! OLIFANT, TO ME!"
Another flash occurs. In the next instant, Kalib's left arm is equipped with another gauntlet and it holds a horn in his hand. His eyes hone in on the shield coming back down for another strike. In response, Kalib brings the horn to his lips and looks down at the ground before blowing. The horn would emit a powerful blast in an attempt to send Kalib flying into the air towards the beast.
PK stabs into the goliath's foot as he tries to freeze it to the ground. With him putting extra power into it the ice spreads across the beasts foot and into the ground. No telling how it'll actually hold up if it were to try to break out though.
Senri sends a stream of ice up the monsters back. It seems like the ice successfully quelled the flames but it's melting fast and won't hold for too long.
Tatsuya creates a stream of light and wraps it around the beast's neck. Noticing what he's doing the goliath begins grabbing the stream of light and trying to pull back as it drops the shield and sword. It tries to stumble about put Pk's ice holds it in place. It angrily tries to break out as the ice begins crumbling.
Kalib launches into the air with the horn but the beast ducks as it tries to pull Tatsu and Apollo off. As Kalib flies overhead the beast once again raises up causing him to slam into its head. He lands on its head but takes heavy blunt damage.
Stella is unable to move

Alright, some ice! I can help with that!
*she directs her water jetting at the monster's feet. Hoping to replace ice fast enough, and quell enough flame, to keep it held in place.*
Having to act fast, Senri quickly begins climbing the giant,
latching onto the ice she created. It would be a very, very long fall if she screwed up. As she arrives on the opposite side of where Tatsuya is, she finds a bit of a roadblock: she can't touch that light... Senri pulls out her katana, prepares a Bufuladyne in her opposite hand and stabs the shoulder armor, attempting to riskily catapult herself onto top of the helmet and freeze the top of its head, hopefully landing smoothly and causing some brainfreeze.
Kalib takes a knee upon landing and winces, the horn fading in the process. His wounds clearly below the surface, he opts to just push through for right now. He moves along the top if the beast's head while crouched.
"H-Hey...you're suffering...aren't you?"
Kalib holds out his left hand and pats the beast's head in an almost paternal motion.
"Look...nobody here wants to hurt you Kalib. These are our precious friends. We want to help ease your pain..."
He winces again as pain shoots through his arm.
"You did your best. I saw it. You are without a doubt, the same man as me. So let's get this over with shall we? Just hold on a moment, this may sting."
Kalib holds the wispy sword up to the sky as he stops petting the beast.
"NOW! DURENDAL'S FURY!"
The blade becomes a solid before roaring with blue flames in the hilt. Kalib smiles before looking down and attempting to slam the blade into the beast's head.
Tatsuya and Apollo strain as their foe darts it's head down, in spite of having to stop pulling for a moment they do somehow hold on. With that they'd leap down to the ground and form the end of the Hardlight rope into a hook, quickly slamming it into the ground before grabbing hold of the rope part once more and pulling with all the force they can muster. Being significantly more given they have traction now.
"Okay guys now would be a good time to jump in! I think if we get this thing on the ground it'll be a bit better point to attack from!"
Seeing as Haruko has the ice covered PK pulls his blade out from the ice and overcharges it once more, taking deep breaths as he exhausts his remaning energy as he throws the blade over near Stella, upon hitting the ground it releases all of its charge onto the ground, spreading ice and hopefully speeding up the cooling process, after its done it falls to the ground, completely inert and powerless
Alright! I'm on it Tatsu! Here we go!
PK then dashes over to the rope and tugs on it with his remaining strength, if not toppling it hopefully keeping it in place
Haruko spreads water across the beasts feets which helps maintain the ice. However, the ice is still cracking quickly and the water only serves to delay the breaking of the ice.
Senri catapults onto the head of the beast successfully. She unleashes a massive wave of ice over the creatures head. Though it doesn't do much to stop it the beast begins panicking more as the ice covers its face as well. Eventually, it begins to calm down as well as the ice takes its toll on its body.
Kalib with the blade in hand plunges the blue blade into the creature's skull. The top of its head is easily pierced as the ice has weakened it. The blue flames roar to life as a black fluid sprays out of the Goliath's head viciously.
PK and Tatsuya together pull on the light strand to try to bring the creature down. In its weakened state as Kalib and Senri's attacks phase the monster it has no choice but to yield to the light as it tumbles to the ground. It hits the ground with a loud crack as the ground shakes.
Stella is instantly cooled by the sword, and the ground around her has even frozen, So Stella stands up and her cannon transforms into a Gatlin Vulcannon, locks her in place, and begins firing hundreds of small energy bullets at the giant
OVERHEAT: 0
Senri sighs in relief as she reaches the top. She is unable to relax, however, as the giant is falling with her on top of it! She finds herself losing her balance as the giant tumbles. In a moment of desperation, Senri drives her katana deep into the vulnerable, frozen helmet and braced for impact. At the last moment before impact, Senri jumps off to avoid being shot into the air like a golf ball, rolling and landing next to the party.
Y-You could have waited a bit longer to do that!
Senri pants as she smiles, adrenaline rushing through her.

"Okay... I got something in mind... DAGDA AQUARY TIDE!
Suddenly the light and Apollo vanish, only to be replaced by a tall bearded man with white hair. Tatsuya backs away from the thing as a massive amount of water begins forming into one spot. Suddenly blasting towards their foe in a blur. The Persona raising it's hands towards the shadow as more and more water rushes towards the thing while spraying up and down along the target. Aiming to cover the whole thing's body with the massive rush of water.
"Now would likely be a good time to strike with ice, before all of the water is all gone."
PK dashes over to Stella and quickly picks back up his sword, checking over the battery and seeing it completely drained and grunting, sending the rest of his energy into it and running towards the giant, stabbing into it and sending any power left into the blade, straining himself physically to pump extra juice into the icy laser

Senri nodded to Tatsuya with determination, casting what would hopefully be, the final needed Bufudyne on the fallen boss.

Kalib falls alongside the beast and is tossed from it's head at the point of impact, sword in hand. Rolling and rolling until Kalib stabs the sword into the ground, slowing him to a halt.
"R-Right. It's time for the finale!"
Kalib struggles to stand once more, but manages to do so. He hoists his blade up before the beast as it begins to freeze over and as it gets blasted by Stella.
"ROLAND! LET'S FINISH THIS! DURENDAL'S FURY!"
Kalib smirks as his gauntlet shines a bright blue. The blade begins glowing a bright white and begins growing larger, and larger, and larger!
"HYAAAAH!"
The massive blade is brought down in a vertical strike.
Seemingly slicing reality as it cleaves down at the frozen foe. A mass of almighty energy with a physical presence trying to rend the beast. The blade disappears as the strike finishes and Kalib turns his back to the beast.
"Thank you for living your life for others Kalib. You really make me proud. Rest well."
With everyone's combined effort the beast is frozen before Stella's beam begins cracking the ice. Kalib strikes down at it for a finishing blow with the massive glowing blade. The Goliath finally crumbles to pieces before burning away in a pile of dark black ashes.
The ashes swirl around as the beast dissolves completely as they form into another Kalib. The other Kalib salutes Kalib and smiles before dispersing back into ashes and disappearing. Kalib feels a power flowing through him as if Roland's will has awoken once more within him. His willpower surges as the feeling subsides.
OOC: And now I have to stop. Until next time! Stay tuned!
OOC: Alright, time for a continuation.
IC: With Kalib's alternate self-beaten the red haze becomes thick once more around the party. The red figure once again shows up within the haze. His face can't be seen but he almost seems to be smirking at the group.
???: Well? What'd you think? I'm a monster right. One that can't possibly be accepted...So just quit with your hopefulness. There's only one answer at the end of this road...
The figure seems to float in the air as the haze clears up just enough to reveal a stone path that goes through the road. Street lights can be seen further up ahead. Seems like a miracle that any street lights or electricity could be working in this dead world.
Senri looked at the shadow of Kalib with sympathetic but firm expression.
Hope is more complicated than a simple word. It's not easily found. But it exists in small doses. You just have to find it.
Monsters, though? I ask you in turn... Aren't we all always sometimes monsters?
"Tch, I'll quit being hopeful as soon as I'm dead asshole... In spite of everything I still won't give up ya know!"
With that he'd scoff at the figure's words before walking off towards the road. A small flame growing in his right hand as he holds it out to illuminate the area around them.
Seeing the obviously magical well, Kotori, searching for things to fight for training, jumps in without a second thought
Anything powerful enough to destroy an entire park must be ridiculously powerful......

PK backs up from the strike and coughs a bit, holding his head as he looks towards the figure, still trying to keep up his cheerful attitude

Gamma hangs back for a moment, letting the others walk ahead of him. He slowly follows behind Tatsuya, muttering under his breath
I can't stop hoping for you. That's simply not an option. So.... I guess lets see where this goes, right?
Gamma sighs and looks at the distant lights, before speaking up, much louder than before
I trust you don't mind, but I honestly can't believe you. Nothing personal Chaos, but I'm going to keep walking. Maybe we can come to some agreement
Kotori ends up in the woods nearby. The wake up as if they've been in a long sleep. The area around them is hazy and covered in a red fog but they feel they can hear voices coming from nearby as well as see a bit of light in the distance. The light flickers slightly as if coming from an open flame.
Meanwhile the red figure floats further into the next area. The stone path seems to lead into a road. Beyond the haze, smaller buildings can be seen. They seem to resemble homes of some kind. It seems the group has entered a residential area. The figure speaks in a voice that seems to flow throughout the area as if to make sure its voice is heard loud and clear by all.
???: That's what I like about you all...You won't quit no matter what! That's what makes this all so worth it! Otherwise, I'd be bored to tears! That's how you pathetic humans always are. You always fight back against the dark...so I must ask...What is it exactly that you think I am? Who exactly do you think I am?

Kotori begins moving towards the voices and lights.
"Hmm, if I had to take a wager I'd say you happen to be an aspect of the Shadow known as Chaos? Or perhaps a manifestation of this world itself even. One of those seems likely... But what do you think ya are hmm? It's always interesting, to hear what others believe of themselves."
He absently looks down at the flames, smirking into the fire as he ponders just why exactly this thing would ask such a question of them.
I don't know who you are. I won't pretend to know who you are. But if you pose a challenge, I will answer. Someone with the ability to produce all this surely has more in store.
I don't run from the dark. I was in the darkness for a long time. At one time, it was my weakness, but now it is my strength. I simply walk the path less traveled.

PK marches forth, heading down the road quickly with a spring in his step, looks like he's mostly recovered from the fight, if not physically, then morally

Gamma nervously glances between the others. He seems to relax a bit after hearing them. Gamma takes a deep breath, steeling his nerves for what comes next
What and who you are? W.... Well. I... I guess, at least to me, you're a kindred spirit. At least.. That's the vibe you give off for me.
Gamma takes another deep breath, and begins tossing a small shard of ice. He can't bring himself to look at the others, instead focusing on that one, moving point
So, and I hope you don't mind. I'll keep going. I've never minded the darkness, never will. But, well, if there's no hope left for you. What does that say about me?

So beats me what exactly you are.

Kotori comes across a group walking out of the forest and into a more residential area. They follow a strange red figure that seems blurred no matter how she looks at them. The group soon disappears into the residential area through the red haze. She can barely see them stop within the area between a series of small buildings.
The red figure finally stops within a culdesac between a few houses. It seems as though it remains mostly silent the few words it speaks seem to be filled with frustration.
???: This guessing game is boring...Come, it's time for one to step forward and its time to face the "sadness" that lies in my heart. Who is worthy to step up? I'm sure you've already noticed the pattern of one who must face their death...
The figure once again holds out its hand and waits for someone to take hold of it.
Kotori, seeing the group, rushes up to the back of the party, watching everyone and trying to understand the situation
Hm???
Senri narrows her eyes and boldy takes the figures hand. Whatever lies ahead, she could face, she thought.
*Haruko prepares to step forward before Senri does.*
Really, you!?
I'm ready for anything! Get set for Pancake_Knight!
PK draws his laser blade and stands at the ready for the ensuing battle, his arms crackling with sparks and the occasional bolt that flies into the ground
*Ughs and steps back to the rest of the group*
Fine, you go. I won't be able to help if this monster ends up on fire or something.
*grumbles about next time not even waiting for that weirdo to ask.*
The figure's eyes light up filling Senri's mind with a vision. Suddenly, the figure starts speaking once more.
Now witness...A sin most heinous...One born from blood and tears...An ultimate sin is your undoing!
The light from the figure's eyes grows more intense filling the area completely. Senri can feel an intense pressure fill her mind as the vision fades in like a flow of blood.
The vision starts within a dark ruined city. People run around panicked as the sky is filled with dark clouds. Chaos casually walks through the street covered in blood. Suddenly, Senri appears near him wearing the black Samurai armor.
Chaos: Well, about time someone showed up to stop me...I don't get why people are so insistent on ruining my fun here. It was there fault it came to this in the first place.

Chaos: What? Help me? What are you even...You're a strange one but sure...I'll help you forge this "world of anarchy". A world ruled by power...I'll be sure to embrace the idea.
The image seems to briefly melt away before a new vision enters Senri's mind. She stands over a grave in the middle of a grassy field. She looks down at the grave as yellow eyes watch from a distance.
Chaos: This is why bonds will only bring you down...it's better to just treat others as a means to an end...Otherwise, they might reject you.

Chaos: Whatever, I'm leaving...go ahead and get yourself killed but don't say I didn't warn you...
Chaos opens up a dark vortex in the ground before vanishing within. Senri gets up from the grave and walks off with tears in her eyes but also a large amount of determination.
The vision once again melts away only to be replaced by yet another scene. Senri faces a shadow alone. the shadow takes the form of a large cat-like entity with wings on its back and blade-like claws.
Senri faces the shadow with a look of absolution as she rushes towards it blade ready. The creature flies up into the air before charging at her with its extended claws. The vision seems to blur into static momentarily. The next scene shows Senri sitting by the immobile body of the shadow. She's badly injured but seems to be smiling as she looks over the shadows fading body.
The body of the monster begins to turn to dust as it blows around in the wind. For a moment the dust swirls around to form an image that looks like Mona's. She reaches out towards the image trying to grab ahold of it with a smile and tears in her eyes.
The image of mona blows away as it disperses into pieces. Senri's expression goes blank for a moment. From her pocket, she pulls out a gun. She points the gun at her own head. The image goes black as the sound of gunfire is heard.
The next scene shows Chaos from a distance looking at Senri's body as it looms over a pile of dust. She's motionless and a pool of blood can be seen forming under her. Choas has no clear expression as he simply begins walking away from the scene. It begins raining in this world.
Senri's body becomes a dark mass as her Persona Mania appears before her. The shadow mass begins converging with Mania as a rageful scream is heard and the image cuts to black.
As Senri snaps back to reality the same scream can be heard in the distance.
Gamma blinks and looks towards the sound of the scream. Whatever shadow is coming can't be pretty. He sighs and takes a stance low to the ground.
Well then, I take it we're about to get started? Seems like an awful lot of hoops if you ask me, but... So be it.
Gamma quickly checks his pockets... Still have two cards, that's good. Before putting one arm behind his back to take out the new, jeweled staff he has. Gamma briefly looks over at Senri, but decides not to speak any further
Here we go! I hope everyone is ready! I know I am! Come! Waff- right! That doesn't work here! This is gonna be a challenge without my persona backing me up! But I have you guys instead! There's no way we will lose!
PK clutches his laser blade tightly as he configures it as a normal laser shoots out, PK swinging his blade as he warns up for the battle
*Sighs and grabs a chakram*

Senri views the entire scene with a blank expression... She stands immobile for several seconds before tears begin to flow from her eyes. Collapsing to her knees, she smiles sadly.
So... So that's how it was...
Senri clenches her chest. She seems to be a little overwhelmed.
I did everything I could, right...? I did, right...? But even then...
Senri pulls on her own hair, uncertain how to process this vision. The scream in the distance is like an afterthought to her.
Kotori looks in the direction of the scream
I have no idea whats going on.... but that sounds like a fight!
She pulls her blade out and infuses it with lightning
"You alright?" Zero asks Senri this question as he comes up
He was there... And I could have protected him, but my strength wasn't enough... I have no one to blame but my own weakness...
Senri seems as weak as a child before Zero. She hated how that ended... From his death, to her own... She thought about it, but really? It was too much. Her mind was filled with too many things at once.
"Well, I guess it's game time... Man what I wouldn't give to just be able to blur past all this crap. Too bad I'm not the fastest thing alive or something!"
In spite of the man drawing his blade and looking around suspiciously, his tone sounds fairly joking at the moment. Tatsuya is starting to feel at ease with these battles, so might as well try and have some fun right?
"I know how you feel..." Zero closes his eyes as he remininces the pain of those that believed in him that were lost.
"There was, a certain person that I loved...But she died in the end..."
In his mind, he relived the scene of her death. Those last words, his grief. He'll never forget that.
"I blamed myself for that, I even blamed myself for starting it in the first place. But we still have to fight, no matter what." His eyes looked up, "When an enemy appears..." He paused for a moment before continuing, "We'll strike it down!"
The area grows dark and cold as something crashes into the ground causing it to shake and dust to cover the area. Within the cloud of dust, a feminine figure stands with hands like claws. A large glowing eye can be seen through the haze at the top of its head as it lifts one of its hands up. It loudly screams with rage once more as dark spike like tendrils shoot out of the ground from where it stands. They extend out trying to pierce through everyone in the area.
???: Fo...rg...ive...me!

She begins to refute Tatsuya, but upon seeing his stance and expression, she realizes that his skill is vastly superior to hers, and shuts up and focuses on the tendrils striking at her
Time to go!
She ducks and runs under them slashing her blade at the tendrils, the lightning coursing through her sword giving an extra boost of damage

"Huh?!" Zero jumps away from there on instinct, "Get back!"
He draws his Z-saber and strikes one of the tendrils that shot for him
*Immediately tries diving out of the way of the spikes, and then realizes she's trying to be quick and decides to carry that momentum into running toward whatever the monster is!*
It's not on fire! Ha ha, this is going to be easy!
*Actually fires her glut of water behind her to move even faster, Newton is cheering in his grave for this! And she attempts to slash into the screaming shadow at MAXIMUM SPEED!*
Wait, not so..
Gamma immediately steps back from the dark spikes, he quickly forms a small barrier of ice, only for the spikes to pierce straight through it, one of them catching him on the arm
Fast..... Gah.... At least its not fire. Fire sucks.
S.... Shiranui. Diamond Dust
Gamma's persona rweaves into the air around him. It roars and causes six small spears of ice, roughly 6 inches in diameter, to form in the air around it. The dragon's tail whips through these spears and sends them towards the shadowy figure, two going straight, and the other four arcing around, all aiming to strike at its large, glowing eye. If the creature manages to dodge, the spears would meet where its head was and shatter into a hail of ice.
Still, all this working around, such a pain.
Tatsuya glares at Haruko, wondering what in the hell the woman is thinking with this foolhardy plan. As he starts to speak a tendril crashes into him... And does nothing thanks to Apollo of course.
"Okay, what in the fuck are you doing with that!? Seriously charging in like an idiot isn't the way to do this... HEY PK I GOT AN IDEA!"
With that last bit Dagda appears behind the man, water rushing to life around the Persona before somehow it forms into a weapon akin to a rocket launcher. Tatsu himself taking hold of the device and aiming towards their foe with a grin on his face.
"Gimme a bit of electric energy ta work with in this thing and I think it should give us decent results! So what do ya say Knight of Pancakes!?"
PK sees the creature and smiles, hopping on his feet
Alright! I'll beat you even without my persona! Pancake Power!
PK then begins to run towards the figure, as the tendril comes for him he tries to jump over it but fails and begins to plummet towards it, it would be a nasty wound if it weren't for the reflective shield PK cast instinctively in front of him
Woah! Didn't know I could do thaaaat! Gah!
Unfortunately, or fortunately for PK, the kinect energy from the reflection and drop has to go somewhere, as he gets flung straight towards the beast
Woah! Wooooaaaahhhh! Hey I can use this! Alright! Here goes!
PK then winds up his arm as it sparks in the air, generating a ton of electricity as he attempts punches the woman straight in the glowing eye, sending all the energy charged in his arm if it connects
PANCAKE PUNCH!
Senri, still in a stupor, is pierced by the dark spike. The spike felt... Part of her. It didn't hurt at all. If anything, it was like a gentle breeze. She held held the spike that pierced her.
You went through a lot, didn't you...? I couldn't imagine...
Senri pulled herself off of the spike, looking at the form before her in a crazed stupor.
M...Mania...?
This is what happened to you... after I failed... How can I...
Senri looks downward, depressed and immobile. Until she hears a voice...
It's okay, Senri!

Senri looks beside her. It's the one who, in that world, she couldn't save...
Morgana... You died... And I couldn't save you...

Senri wipes her eyes and stands up, acknowledging the imaginary figure.
That's right... I have to fight this, right? I have to make up for my own failure... Therefore...
Senri stands firm, albeit weakly, and throws a Bufudyne at the shadow that appeared in Manias form, trying to hold herself together.
PK over hears Tatsuya while he's midair and gives him a thumbs up, shouting over
Alright! Just give me a second! The Great Pancake Knight will be over shortly!
"Might as well use this now..."
Zero swings his saber as he quickly launches Denarei, some saber beams.
Gamma takes the chance to watch Senri's little.... Exchange. He blinks for a moment before announcing to no one in particular
Uh.... Is she going to be ok? Kid looks like they're having a really rough time..... Should I be concerned?
Kotori rushes towards the woman through as she shuffles through the cloud of dust only to find herself on the other end without encountering the shadow within.
Haruko gains a similar result to Kotori as she flies straight through the dust cloud without encountering the shadow but still flying at full speed.
Gamma icicles, however, seem to cut through the dust creating an open view of the spots they trailed through. They seem to fly straight through the figure though still and only crash into a hail of ice when reaching the other side as if they didn't exist momentarily.
Tatsuya holds the launcher and points it toward the shadow...yep...
PK charges into the dust cloud as well as he readies his fist...only to come out on the other side and hit the floor.
Senri fires off a wave of ice that breezes throw the dust cloud clearing it up a bit but dealing no damage as far as she can tell.
Zero sends out beams from his saber. Most of the strikes appear to do nothing but one seems to nick the shadow a bit as it travels through the open space within the cloud.
An angry scream can be heard as the shadow can now be seen more clearly. The eys it has at the center of its head is crying with a stream of blood falling down. Its long unnatural fingers are in the shape of long frigid claws. For the most part, its lower half seems to be melded with the ground like a shadow might be affixed to a person.
It seems to raise both hands causing the dust to reform around its body before its arms begin extending outward. They trail out of the cloud for a moment as it seems to somehow move around the field at a high speed slashing at any who get in its way. The cloud of dust follows around it.
*Slams on the brakes! Which roughly translates to moving her water thrust forward instead of backwards. She hits a wall, but it's more like she ran into it than boosted into it.*
Ugh... I missed? How!?
*Then comes the icicles*
Oh no.... it's one of those fights, isn't it? The kind where nothing from outside that dust can hit the thing inside it....
Hey! People with Personas! Any of you happen to have something to blow dust away with!?
"A weak point!" Zero then closes his eyes and turns around.
"DARK HOLD!" suddenly, everything turns negative as Zero stays normal and turns around. He then rushes at the weak point he pin pointed with his saber beams and slashes at it and then jumps back right before his energy for Dark Hold runs out and everything goes back to normal.
Gamma keeps a careful eye on the figure as it begins moving. Shiranui, of course, remains floating in the air around Gamma,
Alright, all we have to do is remain calm, it'll be fine. Has to be some way to hit it... Lets start wi...
As soon as the shadow appears to be approaching him, Gamma shouts an order and springs into action
Shiranui!!!! Deathbound!!!!
Shiranui roars and whips through the air around Gamma, sending a pulse of physical force at the approaching shadow, it goes outward in a solid ring, about waist-high. During this, Gamma remains motionless, and as such he won't be able to dodge the creature's slash, assuming the wave doesn't knock them back
Tch..... Protected......
Kotori infuses her body with wind, enhancing her speed and reflexes, then rushes the monster, swinging at the base of the main body to scatter some dust, then immediately turning around and swinging in the exact same spot, hopefully hitting what she saw in the center

PK then hits the ground with a thud as he gets up slowly, getting blown back and hit by the claws that strike him, tumbling in the air before eventually stopping and getting up dazed, shaking it off as he charges a ball of electricity with his hands

PK then puts his blade into the ball as it overcharges with power, the laser on it growing bigger and bigger
The beast flies by Tatsuya, it's clawed hands rushing towards the man as water shifts from a weapon into a shield. Rather than attempting to attack he'd simply form the water into a wall and watch as her strike freezes the water.

Dagda vanishes, replaced by Apollo once more as light begins glowing from the Persona's hands. A large cube missing one wall, a wall pointed towards the shadow to be exact. forms behind the target as Apollo focuses in. Tatsu himself stands with his blade pointed towards the shadow, but his Persona, on the other hand, is in no place to do much but magic.
Despite the frozen time Zero simply end up on the other side of the dust even in the frozen time.
Gamma's death-bound likewise simply passes through to the other side of the dust breaking the ground as the figure brings its claws up to him. The dark glowing eye seems to fixate on him not as the monster goes in to unleash a flurry of slashes upon him.
Kotori once again attempts to strike at the creature and in an attempt to fake it out slashes behind her immediately after the strike...only to end up slashing at the dust cloud on the other side of it.
It seems that rather than an issue of time this is an issue of space.
Tatsuya forms the wall but the shadow has no focused its attention to Gamma and is no longer paying him any mind.
???: I...will not...rest!
Seeing the deathbound pass through harmlessly, Gamma attempts to put up his staff in order o block the incoming attack. Of course, this has never worked out, and the staff is promptly knocked across the arena, before the creature lands a few slashes on Gamma himself
Ok... Too close, way to.... Wait a second
With the creature so close, and apparently making contact with him, Gamma accepts a rather bad cut across his arm in order to try to grab the creature's lashing claw.

You were safe in the cloud, but now that you've come to me...
Gamma attempts to spread his ice down the creature's arm, hoping to strike a more solid form of it within the cloud, or at least freeze part of the creature
*PK smiles and presses a few buttons on his laser blade, using the extra charge to flatten the laser into a big square, like a handheld fan as it changes from a white to a green, PK yelling out
Here we go! Pancake Fan! Send as much wind as you can people!
*PK then pulls the fan back, going for a flap with the fan, sending a torrent of wind towards the box, hopefully carrying the mist over

*clenches her hand as the usual glut of water takes on a distinctly hand shape and readies up for something*

*swings her fist in front of her, as the hand mimics the movement, creating a wind.... it's not quite Garu wind... but hey she's trying here! She's still Persona-less in this place!*

Kotori, knowing Tatsuya's far more skilled than she is, doesn't hesitate the leap back next to him and follow his orders, swinging her sword towards the creature, undoing her enchantment and throwing a wave of wind in it's direction, large enough, but noticeably small compared to PK's
Tatsuya smirks as the wind flies towards his little contraption, Apollo slamming its hands together as a final wall is added to the box. Hopefully trapping whatever Mist blows inside... Assuming it even traps anything.
"Well, if we're lucky this little trick will do something... I can't be sure of anything, but that mist is the source of its power in some form no doubt."
Gamma attempt to grab onto the figure to move it but as he grabs hold it pulls him towards the dust causing him to land on the opposite end.
The monster turns back to Gamma behind him as it once again redies its claws.
Suddenly the combined force of the wind blows fiercely against the dust...and the figure themselves...the creature is sent back into the box with the dust as Tatsuya slams it shut. The light walls seem to cause smoke to rise as they burn the feminine figure within the box.
A dark aura surrounds the box as dark tendrils covered in spike begin swinging wildly around the area. The figure remains screaming angrily in pain.

Kotori tilts her head as she watches the squirming monster before the spikes catch her off guard
GAHCK!!!
She doubles over as one cuts deeply into her gut
PK runs straight in to the box as he yells a battle cry, preparing a normal laser strike into the box when he gets whipped by a tentacle, tripping and throwing his blade into the box, stabbing into it and releasing the rest of the charge into the mist
Gak! That hurt!
Small holes open up in the box, not large for the thing to escape... But it'd pretty easy to get a few thin attacks in there if one aimed closely. To be exact, they're about twice the size of your average frag grenade. One of which Tatsu quickly pulls the pin on and tosses right into the box. The man barely even notes the tendrils swinging given they can't harm him at the moment.
"Now would be a decent time to start shooting very quickly, or however you prefer to attack really. I doubt it will stay like that so move quickly."
Once everyone's done attacking, he and his Persona would lift their hands and gesture them towards each other. Spikes shooting from the walls of the box right towards their foe in an attempt to impale it. Regardless of how that goes, they'd then snap their fingers and cause the whole thing to go up in a blast of light energy.
Gamma remains on the ground as the figure is blown over his head before he quickly gets to his feet
Honestly, not nearly as poorly as I expected that to go. In fact I...
Gamma is interrupted by the emergence of the tendrils, he narrowly dodges one, only to get knocked back over with a few cuts by a second
..... Am starting to miss fire.
Gamma nods to Tatsuya and focuses, summoning his persona again
Shiranui, Diamond Dust.
Gamma's persona roars, this time creating hundreds of needle-sized shards of ice, which are launched around the box to enter holes from every direction, aiming to strike the creature within

Senri raised both of her hands, the delusion of Morgana appearing by her side if only for a moment to the greatest of eyes. Senri opened her arms and glared at the woman, her power fusing with the cognition.
Wings of Hysteria...!
She fired a high powered, strange wind based attack at the opponent. Somehow, it seemed the attack just wasn't her own.
*WAS walking toward the box, then tendrils happen. Thankfully, it's not THAT kind of tendrils, but she still gets whacked down to the ground instead!*
Okay.... now I'm going to drown that thing.
Pk's laser sword falls into the box stabbing into the mist as it releases its full charge. The mist within is completely cleared revealing the shadow fully.
The icy spikes pierce the shadow from every side as it wails in pain. Each spike hitting its mark as the trail of blood from its ey seem to increase more and more.
The wind-based attack hits the shadow from within the box causing it to act strangely as it begins to speak and the blood increases.
???: I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...I didn't mean for things to turn out like this...
Finally, Tatsuya lifts his hand upwards along with Apollo. Spikes of light stab through the shadow causing the segments of its body that were hit to begin crumbling to dust. The box then explodes into a burst of light as the shadow screams in pain. All that remains is a stumbling form resembling Mania. All that's left is for Senri to finish it off herself.
Senri looks at the girl. She recognized who that was, who it represented... She slowly approached her, tears filling her eyes as she smiled regretfully.
I'm sorry too... You suffered a lot, and because I wasn't strong enough... I won't let this be my reality. I won't ever be that weak again... I promise.
Senri swiftly drew her katana, and in the flash of a second, swung it forward, thrusting it towards the shadows heart.
Aww man.... well, guess I'll just have to try that trick on some other shadow. I just need a box, and a shadow.
*looks at the group as she gets up*
O-oh, er... forget I said anything there.... we should probably take care of this now and get moving. I'm sure weirdo is waiting for m---us.
Ghh......
Kotori tries to stand, but the wound hurts, and she can't concentrate her magic into her legs enough to stand
D-dammit.......
She pulls some first aid supplies out of her pouch and begins trying to treat her wound, focusing her magic into her arms

With the cut of the blade the shadow disperses into dark looking particles. They swirl around the area before forming a mirror image of Senri herself. For a moment the dust returns as well swirling around into Morgana. Senri looks down at the cognitive Morgana with a smile as they begin walking away together before fading into nothing.
As they fad away Senri can feel something with herself reawaken. Her will seems to be restored as the power of Mania flows through her freely once more.
The red figure appears once again. This time his body can be fully seen. His appearance is similar to Chaos' but his pupils are blood red and his hair a dark red. He wears a red jacket as well. He begins approaching the group while his expression is that of someone unclear of what to do next.
???: I didn't think you could put that ghost to rest...I suppose it's time I formally introduce myself. I am Rage or to be more specific Chaos' rage. It doesn't make me happy but even if you are all idiots you're idiots who happened to win.
Rage: That means that I'll be guiding you to the next area. Oh, by the way, I should mention the guy you met before was Regret. He doesn't talk much. Has some serious mental issues or some crap.
Oh great, a journey through the many emotions of evil.
Really, though, I wonder if the next guy is going to be like.... Nhilism or something. Anyway let's go, daylight's burning.
*She looked a bit beat, physically and energetically, but was still trying to press on.*
Gamma sighs and shakes his head. Glad that's over with, though it leaves questions
Alrighty then, "Rage". If you're here to lead us on, then lead us forwards. I take it this all leads to Yu right? Well, Chaos that is. Chaos is what he calls himself, so I guess I should respect that.
Gamma looks around at the others, as though for confirmation, before walking towards Rage
So then, what's next? I'm ready for whatever it takes.

Kotori finishes dressing the wound and manages to stand up
U-uhh........
She looks like she's about to ask something, but shuts up
"Oh, so my guess was right then? I did after all say you're likely an aspect of Chaos. So shall we be going through all his emotions or simply a few of them? Either way, I guess I don't care what you have to say."
His bit to the shadow done, he'd summon up Hyperion in a burst of light before healing magic washed over the group. Salvation is a nifty thing, painful healing of wounds and resetting of bones aside anyways. But, he's got other issues then just wounds right now... He turns to Kotori and Haruko with an annoyed expression.
"What in the hell were you two doing? Both of you just got flat out blindsided somehow Christ. Are you two fresh out of high school or something? Wait, I was better at this at that age. So I guess standards dropped?"
He sighs and begins walking forward, sounding a tiny bit sorry as he continues to speak... But not by much.
"Well regardless, we did all make it so I can't say too much. But try to be more careful from now on okay? That was painful here, next time the same mistake could get someone killed. That aside, best to keep moving for now."
With that done, he turns over to Senri with a worried expression on his face. Wondering just what the hell she's seen in that guy's head.
"And hey Senri? How ya holding up over there anyways? I can tell you... I'm well aware that stuff isn't a fun time so uh, if you feel like talking then I'm willing to listen. Got it?"
Senri smiles, wiping her tears away as the Senri and Mona of this world fade away... Soon, she feels it. Mania had returned to her. She put her hands on her chest and smiled.[i]
That's right... I'll keep pushing on, no matter how painful things are. That's what you want, right Morgana? I'll find you too... I promise...

You're awfully bold to assume we are "idiots". I may have only known this group for a short time, but they have survived to this point and faught fate with their own hands. They are strong.

Senri repeats words she has heard before, but with a new meaning as she pointed towards Rage. Senri seemed to be full of determination once again.
She turned to Tatsuya. She seemed surprised that he was concerned at all. She smiled and nodded to him.
It was a lot to process... I... I'll explain everything at a more convenient time... Thanks, Tatsuya.

Kotori sits on her knees, head down, until he moves on before standing up and watching him, talking to herself

Rage suddenly flicks towards one of the houses. The house begins to collapse revealing a beach behind. In the water is a large boat big enough to carry everyone over the water.
Rage: Beach property. Pretty expensive stuff but this boat will help us get over to where the final area is. Of course, Chaos himself lives a bit in-land so it'll be a bit of a walk for you all but the next guy should show you the way if he isn't busy crying like a baby that is. anyway, all aboard who's coming aboard. You can stay here if you want but it's getting pretty dark out and the shadows love the taste of human flesh at this time of night.
With that Rage board the ship and steps up to the driver's seat as he starts up the engine. He redies to take everyone across when they're ready.
Kotori walks onto the boat silently as she thinks to herself
You know, for someone named "Rage" you don't seem all that angry.
Gamma chuckles as he follows Rage over to the beach. He glances back at Tatsuya for a moment, before shaking his head and running ahead of the group
Well, I suppose I'm ready as ever. No need to wait around, just as soon as the slower ones get here, we'll be good to go
He nods at Senri, silently accepting her words with a slight smile and a flick of his lighter. Finally, he'd glance over at Gamma as he steps onto the ship.
"Something up Gamma? Come to think of it, we haven't really talked for a while, have we?"
He rubs his chin, wondering when exactly the last time they'd spoken not as... Something akin to foes, but actual people.
"Anyways, ya got something in mind about me? Or just looking around randomly... Not that I'd blame you for being jumpy here."
Gamma looks around for a moment, of course there are others near, but he shouldn't let that bother him. Gamma visibly swallows, almost as though he were already having second thoughts.
There's an awkward moment of silence before Gamma finally takes a deep breath and speaks up.
So.... Uh.... Been a little bit, yeah, it has.... I was just... Well.... With all this Chaos stuff happening. And I mean, yeah, he's done some pretty terrible things...
Gamma scratches the back of his head for a moment, before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath
Anyways... Well, we haven't exactly had the best relationship in the past... So... I was kinda wondering... If I had actually done anything... You know, back then... Anything actually bad as opposed to just being kinda a prick... What would you have done about it, about me?
I'd rather not be shadow food.
Senri boards the boat, confused by Gamma's tripping of words... Did he not like the water?
... Tatsuya pauses for a moment, that's hard to answer. But all things considered?
"First I'd have tried getting you to stop, prick at the time or no... I don't enjoy ending lives or anything, that being said well... Give me a reason and I'll stop anyone, however, it has to be done... Best not to dwell on the past too much right? After all, we're here to have this talk. So I'd say things went alright!"
With that he'd attempt to shrug it off, shit could have gone very badly, but thankfully it didn't.

Gamma sighs and looks back over the water. He can be seen briefly smiling, of course he could hardly expect another answer. The implications are clear
Yeah, you've always been willing to do whatever's needed. But well..... I guess its good that that's pretty much over with. Whatever happens now, all there is left is to keep moving forward.
Gamma looks down at his hand, and focuses, forming a small crystal of ice within the palm of it. Its always been so hard and fragile and the same time
Just like always.
Tatsuya stares out at the water himself. A slightly sad look crossing his face, It's actually a bit depressing to think about these things.
"Yeah you're right, nothing to be done but just keep going till we finish the job after all... Anyways, I guess I'll try and get some rest. Staying up all night wouldn't exactly be good for us in this place. See ya around, and uh past issues aside. It's actually been good working with ya, so glad to have you on the team, Gamma."
With that said, he'd finally head off. Looking around the ship till he found somewhere decent to sleep and settled down... No use worrying about what's coming next after all.
