The Mute
{A clear river descends from a hilly peak shaping the land as it passes through in white water fury. The land around it is a clearing comprised of a bright green that is almost blinding to the eyes. Flowers tinted in a soft pink dot the tranquil landscape and sway with the gentle breeze. A few flowers are stomped under the paws of wild animals that gather at the sides of the river in a social drinking circle of sorts. They bask in the sun as they step out of the surrounding forest and walk with gentle pace. Completing the tranquil forest scene that appears to be artificially composed to perfection.} {You don't quite know how you arrived to this location if this is your first time wandering the forest. Yet if you wandered before you know that this has something to do with the snake haired woman.} {No matter what path you took to get here you are certainly in the forest now and best be prepared for whatever may come.} {Unknowingly thrust to this scene you must steal the show before you leave.}
This feeling... like's the Weald but less. hostile.
[Kazuya was lost in thought as he left his home for a nice walk around the nearby Inokashira Park. Nothing too important, just how to proceed now that he needed a new job. And before realizing it, he was in this beautiful place, completely different from the park he is so used to visit.] So...it might be time. [This much was obvious now, he was ready to proceed once more and to face anything that may come. Besides, he already bought the groceries.] I'm glad...!
Ene
{A few of the animals including a familiar stag look up at Crusader and Kazuya with a curious gaze in their eyes. It's as if the forest critters are expecting something from the pair. The river continues to course with a hint of added green to it now.}
Danksuya was walking along the sidewalk, just returning to his place when he closes his eyes for a second, upon opening them he realised that he had stumbled into a forest, strange... he then notices Kaz and the Crusader, was it time? ...
*he looks back at the wild life* It's has been four years since I've encountered wildlife. Nature seems more pure about then the one in the hamlet. *he walks up to the stag*
Ene
{The stag flicks an ear at Crusader's approach and utters a low bray in an attempt to communicate with Crusader. It's tiny stub of a tail flickers with anxiety and it's eyes have an unusual depth of comprehension to them.}
*he crouches next to the stag* Trying to guide me animal? Then if so lead the way.
What a strange feeling... [Kazuya rubs the back of his head, looking everywhere but the animals and in silence. He knew something was needed to be done, but he wasn't quite sure what though. Finally, he sighed and looked at the animals. With, Kazuya took a...quite bizarre pose.] Let's work with the camera, shall we? Give me happy! [Kazuya raises his left leg and makes a small jump with his arms in another weird position.] Now give me silly! [With a completely serious face, he points at the animals.] Shows us those perly whites! [After this, he just stands there. Realizing this probably did nothing.] ...
... Danksuya stares at Kaz for a second before waving it off noticing the green river, waving over to Kaz and the Crusader he follows the river, hopefully it will lead to answers
Ene
{The stag pleased at Crusader's response gives a tiny happy flick of it's tail and trots over to the lower end of the river. With it's nose held high it points toward the lower end with purpose that can be seen in it's eyes.} {Danksuya walks toward the green patch in the river which is located toward the upper part that is cresting over the hills. He motions to the others from there.} {As for Kazuya ... well he gets a silent reception from all the animals with his antics. A silent undercurrent of laughter can be heard if one picks it out from the crash of the river.}
*he follows the stag down to the river* What are you point at animal?
[Kazuya simply covers his blushing face as he decides to follow the stag, making his way to the lower end of the river, trying to ignore the rest as much as possible.] Old habits...
Danksuya follows the green patch up the hill, occasionally looking behind him to see if anybody is following, otherwise he looks at the flora and fauna, it was quite different from the city he was used to
Gamma was wandering along, focused on the shard of ice he tosses back and forth, much as always. Before long, he finds himself in the forest. Upon finding the apparent change of scenery, he merely sighs Sometimes I hate this place. I swear the architecture never makes any sense. No matter. There’s usually a reason Gamma wanders the area for a little, remaining a fair distance away from the others, checking around for anything of more.
OOC: Will I be able to join this in about 30 minutes or so?
Ene
{The stag continues to lead Kazuya and Crusader down the river path until the water recedes enough to become a creek. The once vibrant green clearing has now been replaced with dull whitish hues as the two come upon a cottage covered in vines. The cottage appears to be deteriorating under the vines that comes from it's very bricks and the once metallic door is rusted with wear. In contrast with it's surroundings it is certainly man made and white plumes of smoke blow out of it into the clear blue sky. The stag stops a few steps away from the metallic door that appears to be a bit chained up with rusted yet unusually sturdy chains.} {Danksuya follows up the river until he is well away from the others and the river has grown into a truly turbulent force of nature. The green of the area appears to have only increased with time as the river itself is soon dyed with a green that obscures it natural blue. Up ahead a series of splashes can be seen in the river as a tiny body is struggling in it for dear life.}
Ene
{Gamma upon checking around finds a piece of paper trapped in the sharp quills of a porcupine. From afar the paper appears to be slightly old and close to tearing as the tiny creature shuffles around for sustenance.} OOC: Yess you can join in 20 mins.
*he grabs his Long Crusade sword's grip as he approaches to the door* Why making a home in the middle of the forest? And why even chained.
[Kazuya quickly approaches the door and notices the quite sturdy chains. He questions what to do for a moment. He could quite easily use his weapons now, perhaps even a demon. But he decides that, especially considering that this could be some kind of test, he should look for a another way.] What about this area, maybe a key or another entrance? [Kazuya prepares his COMP as he looks around for some kind of key, puzzle, an new entrance...anything.]
Gamma slowly and carefully walks towards the porcupine. He’d rather not scare the thing, not if it can be avoided Hey little guy, mind coming a little closer? Gamma quickly searches his pockets for something to offer the animal, but only comes up with his usual ice and a card. He holds out a small crystal of ice towards the creature anyways, hoping for the best It’s not much, but I just need you to come a bit closer, ok? I can get that annoyance off of you.
*he grabs on the sturdy chains and begins to pull with his might* Come on. You're secrets will not be hidden in the light!
Danksuya looks at the green, intrigued as to what it means, dipping his hand into the liquid until hears the little splashes and moves towards them with haste, something is happening, and he needs to know what ?!?
Ene
{As Crusader approaches the door he hears a gentle hum emanate from within the cottage. The door itself does nothing remaining still and sturdy as it's chains are shook by Crusader. Meanwhile, Kazuya opts to look around and in doing so he finds a brick path toward the side of the house that is particularly covered with long, thick strands of ivy. The path appears to have been unused for quite a while and lying right next to it is the worn down statue of a small boy.} {The porcupine carefully approaches Gamma with interest and takes a gentle sniff of the small ice crystal in his hand. It's quills raise up a little bit at the ready for any signs of attack and the sheet of paper raises along with the quills.}
(edited by Ene)
*he jumps back as his stress skyrockets* OH SWEET HEAVENS WHAT WAS THAT!?!
Gamma slowly and carefully moves around the porcupine’s side while holding the ice a little closer to the porcupine. Hopefully that’ll keep its attention long enough for him to carefully remove the paper from its quills I know I know, maybe not what you were looking for, but this might keep you busy for a little bit at least. It’s not so bad, see? If thd procupine accepts the ice and eats it out of Gamma’s hand, he would then use that arm in an attempt to calmly pet the creature and brush down some of its quills If you follow me I might be able to get you something better back home. Ic you can even understand me that is.

{Moving to the edge of the river Danksuya is finally able to tell that the small struggling shape in the water is that of a dog. The poor mutt helplessly flails in the green river as wave after wave of water hits it against the head. It is clear that the mutt is fighting a losing battle as it continually dips beneath the water taking longer to come up with every dip. Yet the river is moving insanely fast and it is impossible to tell how strong the current is from simply looking at it.}
I could move in, but that statue... [Any piece of information was necessary right now, and so, he decides to take a closer look at the statue] I wonder who this is...could it have been one of those eye kids? Could be, after all, that little girl was from that time.
Danksuya grunts and runs over to the dog, taking the current into the equation, how was it this fast? How?!? Well now's not the time, Danksuya pulls out a crooked sword as he takes a hold of the sharp bit, thrusting the handle over to the dog, if it takes ahold of the handle, Danksuya then pulls on it, hopefully bringing it back to shore
Ene
{The porcupine continues to sniff at the ice until it finally decides to bite it. With a quick snap of it's teeth the critter has the ice in it's mouth and then proceeds to freak out at the sudden cold exposure. It's quills instantly rise in alarm with the sudden surprise stabbing into Gamma's outstretched hand. The porcupine then attempts to make a run for it causing a few of it's quills to detach but the not the ones with the paper.}
Okay... attempt number two... *he aim his gilded sword at the chained door attempting to cut down the chains*
Ene
{Taking a closer look at the statue Kazuya is quickly able to determine that it is the boy or at least was the boy that got turned into a statue in front of him. The woman that froze the child with her eyes is nowhere to be seen yet the boy still carries that same frightened gaze from before. He is also now missing an arm from what appears to be years of rain based wear and on the top of his head lies a long dead flower crown. The statue itself shows signs of having taken the brunt of someone's pain with scratches all along the rest of it's body.} {Crusader's gilded sword manages to break down the upper series of chains that have taken the worst of any weather occurrence. Yet his sword gets caught at the lower layer that still have some strength even after ages of time. The humming from inside has noticeably stopped and the cottage has grown quiet.} {The dog weakly attempts to bite at the handle of Danksuya's sword slipping at each attempt. With it's strength sapped and the handle already slippery with water the dog is still helplessly at the whims of the river.}
Gamma takes a deep breath and hold up his needle-stuck arm.... Ok pest, have it your way. I tried the nice way, but you’re really asking for it. Don’t push me. Gamma runs after the porcupine, plucking the quills out of his hand while muttering some sort of curse Just come back here before I have to do something dramatic.
*he attempts to pull out his sword* It's stuck... *he signals to Gamma and Kaz* You two! Help me pull this out!
Ene
{The porcupine failing to heed Gamma's words continues to run toward the forest. It appears to be attempting to dive into the undergrowth in a hastily made escape attempt.}
Hey, knight guy! Stop it, you're gonna make the people think we are dangerous! If you really want to help, then don't use force unless we get attacked! [Kazuya sighs as he once again turns to the statue. This truly was a saddening encounter. Even if what the kid was doing was down right cruel and a asbolutely repulsive, for things to end this way, with no warning, not final second chance.] Then again...I don't know the full story, and I doubt I ever will, what's done is done. [He wished things were different, and after bowing to the old, decaying statue to show respect to those now gone, he moved towards the path covered in vines slowly, trying to make his every move gentle.] The last thing I need is to disturb...
Alright you asked for it pest. Shiranui... Maeigaon. Gamma, Having fallen well behind the porcupine, stops where he is in order to summon forth his persona. The dragon’s image roars as four dark tendrils emerge from the ground in front of the porcupine. They reach out for the creature in an attempt to grab it and force it to the ground This could have been a lot easier on all of us, but you just couldn’t wait one more second.
Grr... Danksuya then sees how ineffective he is, grunting as he pulls the blade back and stabs it into the ground, then jumps into the river while holding onto the sword, reaching its hand out to grab the dog, then pulling on the sword to get back onto the shore
*he yanks out the sword* Many things sees me as a danger, I was commonly attacked by the simple of monsters in the ruins and cove due to me lowering my guard. But seems I've grown both paranoid and callous over the years as a crusader.
Ene
{Flicking vines aside with his hands Kazuya carefully makes his way on the path until he comes upon a window. Painted a stark white color with transparent glass the window offers a view into a small traditional room. Bookshelves upon bookshelves fill the space as a single table lies right next to the window with a chair out as if someone recently sat there. A pink blanket lays haphazardly on the wooden floor and a book filled with childish illustrations lies on the outward chair.} {The porcupine cowers in fear at the appearance of a dragon and once again bares out it's quills in a last ditch effort to defend itself from grabbing. The dark tendrils wrap around it's small body and forcibly lower the frightened creature to the ground as it lets out a series of pitiful squeaks.} {Courageously jumping into the river Danksuya managed to grab the dog by the soaking scruff of it's neck. Issue is getting back to shore as the sky begins to rapidly darken letting out a flurry of rainfall upon the two. The river current turns into a powerful enemy attempting to drag both Danksuya and the dog with it against their will and the sword shift a bit along the ground with the pull. As this occurs Danksuya can swear he hears the malicious laughter of children.}
Quintus walks around the familiar area with a look of peace. He no longer seems like the nervous wreck he was last time and seems a lot more content walking near the deep dark forest. He notices Gamma torturing a porcupine nearby and begins to draw slightly close. An odd feeling fills him as the creature fights back. He's oddly energized by the spectacle and he can only assume this is the result of Hook being fed the porcupine's fear as it fights for its life. This...I could grow far too accustomed to this feeling if I'm not careful. I wonder why he's fighting that creature though. Maybe he's the twisted one here...
Gamma dismisses the Persona with a sigh, leaving the tendrils in place as he rapidly nears the unfortunate porcupine I’m terribly sorry, you probably don’t know what’s going on. Still, at least I’ll relieve you of that nuisance. Gamma gets close to the porcupine and attempts to extract the rugged piece of paper from its quills in order to read it Now then, behave and this will all be over with in a moment. If not, well.... Not my problem.
*he looks at Gamma with annoyance under his helmet* You hate nature do you...
!!! Danksuya takes a few deep breaths as he assess the situation, rain, dog, river, sword... after a few precious seconds go by, Danksuya takes the dog and trys to throw him onto the shore, it might hurt the poor thing, but better an injury then death by drowning, then he 2 hands focusing completely on trying to hold onto his sword and pull up, even if it cuts his hands
[After taking a quick look inside, Kazuya slowly opens the window and heads inside with both hands in the air.] Hello? I'm sorry for intruding and my friend's sudden reaction... I'm actually lost and I'm looking for help, but I couldn't ask from the door. [Kazuya looks around the room still with both hand on the air, trying to prove he is not trying anything weird.]

{Extracting the old and hole punched sheet of paper from the porcupine Gamma reads ...} Stealing eyes to steal the thoughts of any creature. Obtained upon the green child's untimely drowning. He wished to understand meaning without words. {The rest of the words on the sheet are hastily written ans only a few words are legible ...} Locking eyes ... freeze ... Obta ... white ... brutal ... Pos ... combining .... qu ... {The porcupine remains still in the ground paralyzed with fear of the two humans near it.}
*he scratches his head at the letter and looks back to the house* Why did I had a sudden chill down my spine?
Ene
{With his strength Danksuya is able to throw the dog onto the dry ground listening as the dog's body thuds on impact. He then wraps both of his hands around the blade of his sword creating a few new open cuts and as a bit of his blood mixes into the river he is able to pull his upper body to shore. The rain continues to pour upon him and the dog whimpers pitifully after the fall it sustained. Yet what concerns Danksuya the most is this dizziness he suddenly feels as the dogs whimpers begins to sound like intelligible human speech.} {A small head of white hair peeks out from behind the wall across the room as two red eyes gaze at Kazuya with growing anxiety. Two pale white hands grip tightly against the wall frame and the head is noticeably shaking.} P-Please leave ...
Locking eyes freeze.... The important stuff’s self explanatory. Obta... Obtain.... Something about the color white. Probably brutally. Pos.... Post? Post combining... qu... Maybe Queen. Alright, Locking Eyes freeze, Obtain... White... Brutally. Not sure on that one. Post combining queen. The queen orders them so... They merge to form Voltron? Probably something silly like that. After doing his best to decipher the message, Gamma turns back to the quivering porcupine As for you. He extends his injured hand towards the porcupine as an icicle begins to form at the end. The icicle is roughly a third of the size of the creature’s head, and ends in a particularly sharp point Diamond Dust. Quintus hears a soft *chink* sound as the spike is launched from Gamma’s extended hand....... And into the ground in front of the porcupine. The tendrils binding the creature dissipate to allow it to run back into the forest Now scram like you normally do.
You heard the voice! We're leaving!
[Kazuya is able to see the growing fear, and when this happens, Kazuya kneels down and stays in the same place he was.] I will, I promise I will and never bother you again if that's your wish. But...I have no idea where I'm at, and I need to find a...friend [Kazuya slowly sits on the ground and gently smiles at the small one.] I know this must be really scary for you, I'm sorry for scaring you this way.
Danksuya takes the sword out of the ground and lays down a bit away from the shore, holding his head as he listens to the dog, bringing a finger up to its nose in order to shush it as Danksuya raises his arm into the air, casting a brilliant flash of light as his persona is summoned next to him Vulcanus.. Dia and Agi... Vulcanus then moves over to Danksuya's hands and mends the cuts with a healing light, restoring his physical condition. Then creating a small fire on the floor next to him to dry him off as he closes his eyes for a second, taking deep breaths to try to get rid of the dizziness
Quintus seems to smile strangely as the porcupine is set free. His suddenly widen as he realizes that he let the feeling get the better of him for the moment. He turns back to Gamma with a more serious look on his face. I guess it didn't need to die. Better to live and let live in my opinion. Quintus walks up to Gamma and tries to get a look of the note in his hands.
Gamma looks back at Quintus, not caring to put any effort into hiding the note Oh, you’re back again. Whoever you are. Don’t think we’ve actually met. Name’s Gamma. And besides, I said I’d let it go if it cooperated, and it did. No need to go further. Gamma regards Quintus with no apparent emotion in his eyes. It’s far more like he’s looking at an object than a person, trying to size up this brave kid
Ene
{Released from it's shadowy tendril prison the porcupine makes a quick escape to the forest before Gamma could potentially reconsider. With the porcupine gone the area is now strangely empty save for the intensified river that thrashes against it's very confines. To the north of where they are both Gamma and Quintus are able to see a storm and to the south is a clear and silent sky. Though they may want to focus on the immediate area since now pure anger can be sensed from all around. It comes from the forest, the sky, and even the river as if pure hatred is being passed onto the two.} {After a slow deep breath the white head moves forward revealing a white haired girl outfitted with a simple blue dress and apron. Her eyes remain closed as a key around her neck jangles with the movement and she holds out a pan in defense. Her hands wrapped around the pan are obviously trembling and her stance is noticebly frail.} I-I don't know about your friend ... Please you have to leave. {The girl lets out a shaky breath and practically shouts.} I could hurt you!
Gamma motions for Quintus to follow him north, eyes open all around him for any sudden motions Well, if it’s not just the two of us here, care to talk? I’d rather not make this escalate further than it has to. I’m not sure which presence you are, but I know you’re watching. Gamma sighs and slowly continues his way northwards taking deep breathes to calm himself Just tell me what you want and this whole situation will be easier.... And if that’s a fight well, as you might have seen. I bite back.
Ene
Thank you for saving me friend! {The dog close to Danksuya happily wags it's tail and has a certain grateful shine to it's eyes. It is clear that the dog was the one who uttered these word and now it has taken to licking at it's injured left paw.} {In between licks it says ..} If .. it wasn't for ya ... human ... this old boy would have been dead. {The strange head sensation soon fades for Danksuya but it is clear he can still understand animals once a flock of birds pass by and he can hear their incessant chattering. It appears the river did more than injure him physically.}
It's fine, I am aware of what could happen [Kazuya chuckles and stays sit on the floor with a big smile, completely carefree.] That's what always happens when one comes into someone else's house out of nowhere! But if it's just hurting me which worries you, I promise you won't. [Kazuya points at her pan.] Unless you hit me with that, those hurt a lot
Quintus looks back to Gamma with a very different demeanor then last time they met. His nervous smile was gone and instead replaced with a expression that could almost be called peaceful. I'm Quintus, I wouldn't have normally come back to a place as dangerous as this but I've been feeling better about things lately, I guess. Suddenly he begins feeling the angry presence around them as he immediately is put on guard. What the-Armored Mode: Hookworm! Suddenly from out of his hands, two hooked blades seem to form from his skin. Within their hilts eyes open up and begin to look around as if trying to figure out where the target is for them to dig into. Quintus begins looking around the area as well. The hatred puts him on edge as he seems to even show a bit of fear for a moment. With Gamma's motioning Quintus decides to follow him. Their was strength in numbers if whatever was out there did decide to fight.
(edited by Quintus_Geminus)
Danksuya jumps up at hearing the voice, he did hear it from the dog right? He then stares at it for a second, not believing it, but, sure enough, he can understand the animals ... it was nothing. But you are a dog right? Now was not the time to be silent, he wanted answers and using sign language now probably would be detrimental
*he examines the surrounding building trying to find it's history* What other history do you bare?
Ene
Oh I know you are constantly noticing me. {A familiar hiss can be heard as the presence of pure unbridled hatred grows stronger around Gamma and Quintus. The many dark everyday thoughts of people begins to play directly into their heads as a strange circular current can be felt around them.} Ugh I wish she could break her back or something .... That presentation he did at the meeting was horrible ... They should just die for being born like that ... {With the thought simply pouring into the heads of the two the clear voice of the snake can be heard with a happy undercurrent to it.} See how disgusting human beings are as a whole~ To think your species has survived so long when you want to tear each other down everyday~ {The snake's voices suddenly becomes piercing with the undercurrent gone.} So here is what I want you to do ... I want you two to fight each other with only one survivor.
*knocks on the door frame* I feel something evil coming! Defend the house and the girl!! *he draws out his sword ready to for anything*
(edited by Crusader_Reynauld)
Quintus begins to become perturbed by the voices as they exhaust his will. This wasn't the kind of fear Hookworm could digest and thus was more grading on his mind then helpful. He looks over towards Gamma before the hooked blades begin to recline reluctantly. The eyes glaring at Gamma hungrily before they retract. I think I'm good. I've already seen what he's capable of and would rather not risk my own life unless needed. Why would I fight him just because you told me to anyway?
Ene
{The girl refuses to believe Kazuya and quietly says.} I'm a monster and you should leave before I hurt you. {Her pan falls to her side as she waits for the meaning of her words to sink in.} {Meanwhile, Crusader examines the cottage and sees a few deep scratches along the walls of the structure itself. A few faint hints of long dried blood can be seen on the ground and some of the ivy hides hidden trinkets dating back over hundreds of years.}
Ene
{The dog cocks it's head at Danksuya's question and continues to beat the ground with it's pleased tell.} Well of course i'm a dog! {The dog tries to look at itself as if attempting to find a blemish on his body.} I still look like a dog right? Now don't tell me the river messed me up that bad.
Gamma gazes indifferently back at Quintus and shrugs. He's just another person I'm no murderer, you saw it with the boar. There's no reason for me to do anything to you either. Just focus and remain calm Gamma stealthily pulls out his one card from out of Quintus's view, remaining turned away from the other person. He mutters under his breath But if that's what it takes.... Dusk Sign.......
A monster? But you look and sound like a cute little girl. [Kazuya slowly begins to stand up and approach her.] I don't think you are a monster, if you were, I would've been in pain since the moment I stepped in, yet...you are giving me a chance to run away? That doesn't sound like a monster, but like a compassionate soul.
Danksuya shakes his head, A TALKING DOG!?! This Nexus can only surprise him with all the craziness that's been happening, however, this "dog" might be able to give some much-needed information Still a dog. Well then, if you can talk how about giving me some answers, let's start with names, shall we? I'm Danksuya.
Ene
{The girls blushes at the compliment and finds herself at a loss for words.} Well ... I just think ... it's rude ... to not warn people. {She slowly takes a step back as she says this and ends up tripping.} Ah! ___________________________________________________________________________ {The dog offers a jovial paw to Danksuya and starts to rapidly speak with excitement.} Well I don't really have a name since i'm a stray! But you can give me one like Robert, Bob, Henry, Jose, or even Evangeline! Also what is going on with those eyes of yours they are all red and shiny looking? Do all humans have eyes like that cause I have never seen it!? Oh do you also have food i'm starving after the swim!
[Kazuya quickly dashes forward to catch the small girl as she fell.] Compassionate and polite? You really are nothing close to a monster.
Ene
{Gamma secretly brings out his spellcard without Quintus noticing making the watchful presence ever vigilant upon the two.}
Danksuya takes the paw and thinks for a second, perhaps he should name it after himself Dankdog. How's that? I'm not good with names. Just listen to mine... Huh? My eyes? What do you mean? They are brown, aren't they? Danksuya then looks over to a puddle to try and see his own reflection, surely his eyes weren't red. They are brown
The card in his hand begins to burn as Gamma finishes his chant .... Gathering Flame. With that, Gamma raises the card into the air, well into Quintus's view, the card burns up in a moment, releasing two dozen lightblue orbs of ice and curse which spread into the surrounding area. One flies directly towards Quintus while the rest simply fill the area around them. Upon contact with an enemy (Quintus in this case) the fire-like orbs would burst, releasing a heavy dose of their energy upon their unfortunate victims. The others would linger in the air, forming a makeshift minefield in the area Nothing personal Quin, but I have to move on
Ene
{The girl lands softly in Kazuya's arms and her eyes fly open in surprise revealing two bright red pupils. She ends up blushing and unable to speak until she realizes that her eyes are open and proceeds to freak out.} You can't look! You'll freeze and i'll ... {A few tears appear in her eyes out of the fear she feels.} _______________________________________________________________________ I like the name! {It certainly does appear like Dankdog adores the name as he runs around getting the rest of his dull white pelt muddy with dirt from the ground. Dankdog continues to run around as Danksuya gazes into a nearby puddle only to find that his eyes are indeed a brilliant red.}
(edited by Ene)
Surprised by the orbs of light flying at him Quintus barely has time to bring the hook blades back out to try and block the orb. The orb bursts against the weapons pushing him back a bit. The energy burns him slightly but he was able to block most of the blast with the hooks. Quintus looks up clearly angry about Gamma's sudden assault. Are you kidding me? Your going to murder some random person you just met because some voice told you so? You must be easily manipulated if this is what you decided? He looks around at all the orbs floating around the area before glaring at Gamma once more. Also...this technique is kind of stupid...what's the point to land mines if I can clearly see them. It's not like I'd have to move to reach you either... Quintus takes one of the hook blades and throws it in Gamma's direction. Despite the non-nonchalant nature of his throw the eyes of the blade lock onto Gamma as it rushes towards him. If it hits him it would not inflict any physical injury but rather would pass through his skin into him to start siphoning his blood from within.
R-red... Danksuya then shakes his head, its probably fine, he should focus on what he can do right now Dankdog! Question! Why are you here? How did you get here? But most importantly... what is this place?
*he knocks on the door frame to grab Kazuya's attention* I am going to set up camp, let me know if anything happens.
Ene
{The aptly named Dankdog sits obediently in front of his savior and tries to relay what he remembers.} Well I woke up in this forest and wandered around a bit looking for food. Then I found this snake and ended up in the river dying before ya showed up. {Dankdog suddenly lets out a sharp growl as he starts to sniff around.} The snake may still be around! Master we must be careful!
There there, it's fine [Kazuya looks inside of his jacket's pocket for a handkerchief, which he uses to dry her tears.] You know, I've met people like you, with strange abilities connected to their eyes. [Kazuya helps the girl sit down on the floor, as he hands her his handkerchief.] They were all nice kids looking for something, you look like it too. If you really could turn people into stone just by looking at them, like your mother...then how am I still here? [Thanks to the journal, he had some small idea to what her ability was, but indeed, it was unusual he was fine right now.] If anything, I was frozen in fear by your powerful pan. Didn't you know these things are the most powerful weapon of all? [Kazuya laughs at his own terrible joke.]
Ene
{The girl joins Kazuya in his laughter as she sniffles a bit to clear her sinuses.} Are pans really that powerful umm ... {She trails off not exactly knowing what to call the guy helping her out.} M-My name is Mary Kozakura. What is yours ...? {She suddenly regrets the question and adds.} It's fine if you don't want to say!
A snake... A snake? Perhaps from the last time he was here? Clearing Eyes was it? He needs a bit more to go on, the Snake definitely had red eyes.. or at least Danksuya thinks, he didn't really pay attention Did this snake attack you? Is that why you were in this river? Did it have red eyes like mine? You have to be more descriptive. Clearing Eyes was still around? Perhaps that might help, if Dankdog runs out of answers perhaps the snake could talk
[Kazuya shakes his head quickly.] No, it's okay, since you are being so polite, it's only natural I show you the same kind of respect. My name is Kazuya Yasuo, just a stranger passing by. [He offers her a handshake.] It's nice to meet you, Mary
Gamma raises his left arm to block the hook, and is surprised by how little it hurts going through him... His arm is beginning to feel a little numb as blood is siphoned away, regardless, he simply sighs and looks Quintus in the eye Sorry, but that voice belongs to someone I need to save. Even if its from their own stuborness. Everyone has to make a choice, and this is mine. Two flames settle themselves near Quintus, one to each side of him, while Gamma attempts to grab the hook with his right As for the point, well, you haven't fought me, so I don't expect you to know. But, if you don't move..... Shiranui Gamma's persona roars into life around him, winding through the air briefly before settling near the hook on its owner's left. You're as good as done. Ice Age With that, The serpentine persona whips through the air surrounding his left arm and roars, from the point where the hook makes contact with Gamma, a layer of ice roughly half an inch thick would begin to rapidly progress towards his opponent, aiming to freeze Quintus's arm
OOC: can I join plz?
Ene
{Dankdog growls even more with his tail raised in anger as Danksuya's questions help prod back the memories that eluded him before.} Yep it was that nasty, black snake that bit my hind leg and made me trip into the river. With those beady red eyes of his he laughed as I flailed in the water toward my certain death. I'll never forgive him! {Dankdog angrily takes a step forward and falls on his weakened legs as a serpentine voice makes itself present.} Well I certainly have no need for a mutt like you~ You may have provided me with plenty of entertainment today but now the fun is over since I have found a new act. {A huge wall of pure black snake scales suddenly appears around Danksuya and Dankdog as a serpents head looks down upon them with it's head high up.} Human if you wish to see the show i'm talking about I recommend you kill the mutt. He has long outlived the usefulness of his by surviving.
Ene
OOC: I'm sorry but it's kind of too late at this point
Suddenly the hook passes through Gamma's skin as if he was never holding onto it in the first place. The Hook siphons any blood that its passes through in the process as it reels back to Quintus' hand. The blade is now coated in Gamma's ice though as the eyes of the blade glare at him. Ow! Cold blade! Cold blade! Quintus momentarily reels his hand back as the ice is numbingly cold. He looks back up towards Gamma looking more annoyed and angry than anything. Hurt someone in the process of saving someone else. That's a rather stupid logic. Doesn't matter though...I don't plan to die here! Quintus swings the other blade forward but this time in an arcing motion towards Gamma hoping to have it strike through him before being reeled back. The blade would pass through any skin based contact this time as it stares Gamma down with its single eye.
OOC:awwwww, ok. Maybe next time m8
Tch Clearing Eyes... that's him alright, Danksuya draws his blade and stares at the snake with his own red eyes, they flicker with flames, an unrelenting death stare. Danksuya motions for Dankdog to get behind him as he points the crooked sword, caked in mud towards the snake I wouldn't kill a friend. Try harder.

{Mary accepts Kazuya's handshake with a pale hand of her own and an empty frown suddenly appears on her face. Her voice becomes a dull monotone as she carefully stands.} So to be human is to show kindness even to strangers ... How fascinating. {Mary slowly fades away to reveal Azami who is studying the hand that shook Kazuya's as if it were a rare item. The many snakes in her hair share the same interest fighting with each other over first peek.} This is what human warmth feels like. I almost forgot after all the time I have lived.

Gamma immediately stumbles to his left in order to avoid the swing, tripping one of his own mines in the process. It bursts, but hardly seems to affect him beyond helping him straighten back up. Priorities, its how life works. After all, you're valuing your own life above his, and I'm valuing his above yours. Pretty simple really. Gamma can feel the blood returning to his left arm now that the hook is out of it. So far he hasn't lost too much, and as such remains standing tall. Don't worry, two can play at that whip game. Shiranui, Eigaon. Three tendrils of darkness come out of Gamma's right sleeve, it being not only his dominant hand but also in somewhat better condition makes it perfect for Gamma to make his own vertical swing at Quintus. If the tendrils connect, rather than hurting, they would simply latch onto Quintus, leaving him vulnerable in the future. Two of the energy balls remain on Quin's sides, one to his left and one to his right ready to detonate if he attempts to evade to one In the meantime, Gamma shouts to the apparently empty air Quick question, the rule was for only one of us to remain here alive, correct? Simple clarification, don't want to end up doing too little, right Clearing Eyes?

{Dankdog obediently retreats behind Danksuya letting out a few warning growls against the snake. Said snake simply laughs at the puny display and his tails flicks down in merriment easily destroying the once coursing river.} So you would let two of your friends kill each other in order to save a mutt. This is why I love humans so much for all the stupid choices that they make. {The snake's eyes brighten as he flicks his tongue with interest and states ... Last chance human since I am a generous reptile. Kill the dog or remain trapped here and unable to assist your so called friends.
Azami... [He was confused at first, amazed by the reaction the woman had about this small moment. Kazuya takes a moment to actually process what just had happened, and then he stands up rather quickly.] You said something about tests before...this was one of them, was it not?
Quintus looks around, first at the incoming tendrils then to the balls of energy around him. A fear begins building in his stomach. It flows through him as if something within him has began to overflow. Until this point it had been as if his fears were being contained but now he saw the very real possibility of death before him. Looking towards Gamma he knew that this wasn't a situation he would get out of unharmed or even possibly with his life. So, your just going to kill someone for a uncertainty? Do you even know if this will help you save them or are you just willing to take someone's life for the sake of it?!? I...I won't die! Do you understand!?! I'll live no matter what!!! For a moment something changes in Quintus' eyes as the trees around the area begin to creak ever so slightly. He pulls out the frozen hook as the ice begins thawing and sends it flying towards the tendrils in hope that the blade would either cut through them or give them something else to latch onto.
? Friends? What? Danksuya didn't have friends. Best he has was uneasy companionship, the few people he could even consider friends were Gamma, the cat, and Tatsuya, so far to his knowledge none of them were here, so those lives were meaningless to him ... Danksuya then flicks a lighter from his pocket to express how... carefree he was, not his problem really
Ene
{Azami merely offers Kazuya a blank look as she picks up the drawing book on the floor and absently flips through it.} Indeed it was. {Her finger catches on a page displaying what appears to be Mary and a green hooded boy.} You stayed and bothered comforting the girl even if doing so provided no value. Just like a previous boy before you managed to steal her fear at least for a moment. {Azami then snaps the book shut and looks directly at Kazuya.} You may prove to be quite interesting yet.
Ene
{Dankdog noticing his new Master's carefree manner rests on all fours confused as to what to do next.} Master ...? {The snake liking Danksuya's response approaches his head a bit to study the boy with both eyes have a clear view.} If you really show no loyalty to the others out there then would you consider siding with me. I could certainly use another human ally to quell the rest and you will be able to keep your new ability to steal thoughts as a benefit. It would be a pleasure working with someone as cold as you~
(edited by Ene)
As predicted, the tendrils latch on to the first solid thing they come in contact with, the ice coating the farther end of Quintus's hook. It wraps around the thawing material, while Gamma simply sighs No one ever does kid. But it happens all the time. For what its worth, I didn't particularly want to do this. And I won't forget you. As long as your name is carried on, you're not really dead, right? Gamma sighs as his persona winds around his own tendril, turning it from a pitch black to a dark blue, which then begins to spread up the darkness As for whether or not it will help, its my only chance. Tell me, if you had one chance to live, would you not take it? I get you're scared, and I'm sorry for it to end up like this. Shiranui, Ice Age. Once the dark blue color reaches the point of contact, the previously thawing ice freezes again almost immediately, and once more begins to spread rapidly down the hook towards Quintus's arm. Again, Gamma takes his eyes off Quintus, instead looking to the area around him for an answer Well? What are the conditions? I can't be reasonably expected to follow through if you won't tell me. I take it you only want one of us to remain here alive, yes? That's how you phrased it at first, right?
Interesting, huh? [For some reason, Kazuya was at a loss of words. He was being tested the whole time, he knew what this was all about from the start, he could feel it. But still, the moment he saw those big red eyes filled with fear, he just forgot. Perhaps, for one moment he saw his own reflection, maybe pity, or maybe he could actually feel her anguish. He didn't exactly know why he did it, but he simply did. The one who denied his own action as heroic ever since the great cataclism 5 years ago, for one moment, he accepted their true nature. He quickly shakes his head, trying to get rid of these thoughts. After all, something much more important was at hand.] Is it still possible to save Ene? If so...where is she? How can we help? [Not even he was sure what to do about her, but he would try whatever was needed.]
Ene
{Only the voice of the snake can be heard.} I only wish for one of you to walk out alive from this fight. So yes only one of you gets to live.
Ene
{Azami blinks at Kazuya's questions and answers in impassioned monotone.} You are still able to save the one with clearing eyes. {She raises a single pale finger.} But only under one condition. You must find the true goal of the snake and end it permanently. Until you do so the one with clearing eyes will remain forever susceptible to it. {She lowers her hand and begins to fade from existence.} Complete the rest of my trials and learn. {She fades completely and in her place is a door back to the real world.}
Danksuya thinks for a second as he gives Dankdog a small pet on the head, giving him a small sole As long as you don't hurt him, he won't hurt us alright? Danksuya then turns back to Clearing Eyes, thinking about what he said, it's not that he didn't have loyalty, he just doesn't know who these people are. At any rate he wouldn't betray a friend. Even if it did give him power, it wasn't worth it. Question. Who are these 2 people fighting? You never told me. Second, what would my work entail? I'm curious. But cautious. Danksuya thinks over the last few words Clearing Eyes says, he has the ability to read minds with his red eyes, if he had the ability then Clearing Eyes must do as well... that means he can see his thoughts... no use lying.
The ice begins to spread across the hook from the dark tendrils. The eyes of the hooked blade begin looking around from within the ice as if panicked and desperately searching for a way out. The ice spreads onto Quintus' arm as he begins shouting out in pain. I-I...! No! Please I...! I won't fall... Suddenly a aura flares up around Quintus. A golden light beginning to encircle him as a burst of wind echoes out and the earth begins to tremble under him. The trees begin creaking wildly as strange branches begin growing out of them in Quintus' direction. No matter how hard you push me...I'll never crumble and fall! I'll use it...I'll stop running away from my fear...Per-so-na! Memories begin flowing back into his mind. He begins crying as the events he's been repressing for so long finally break free. The final image in his mind is that of a masked man. Black roots begin forming around his feet before a mighty trunk the color of charcoal begins growing out of the ground behind him. The trunk begins extending upwards reaching up higher than the other trees. From the top of the tree branches begin extending outwards as golden leaves form on them. "You who would call upon my power once more, I am Yggdrasil...Surely you haven't forgotten me already? Let up bridge the gap between the worlds of the living and the dead once more. I, your other self that dwells within your soul, shall never let you fall down. I am thou, thou art I, now unleash the grand roots of the world tree!" The trunk of the tree forms a hole within as a yellow light flickers from within. Thick black roots begin crawling around Quintus' hand breaking apart the ice as several more grow out of the ground near him. The root begins crawling down the chain as well at a slow rate.
Ene
{Dankdog leans into the pet quietly accepting Danksuya's words.} {The snake flicks it's tail with disinterest already seeing how this state of affairs would most likely end.} The people fighting matter not since they are just humans. As for the work ... {He smirks with a focused gaze on Danksuya.} You would just assist me in learning more about humanity and attracting more potential allies to the cause. Unlike most humans I do not seek death or destruction with the power I posses. I only wish to slightly alter the nature of events.
Gamma sighs as the tree systematically breaks apart his ice. Go figure, even this new kid was stronger than him. Well then... Honestly Quin, I felt kinda bad for you at first. Never asked for any of this, simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. I had a plan that would let us both survive, but well.. *chuckles* Screw that. By now his left arm has fully recovered, and Gamma points it at his opponent. Gamma glares at Quintus with a cold, careless look that hadn't been seen for quite some time Now its personal. If I can't even face you, a newly awoken, I can't face anyone. I don't even care what Clearing-Eyes thinks anymore. Shiranui, Diamond Dust. An icicle much larger than the one fired against the porcupine quickly builds in Gamma's hand. Around the time it is finished forming, Quintus's tree roots have gotten to the point of connection, and have now begun to latch onto Gamma's own darkness Say goodbye, new kid. Gamma launches the sharp icicle, one roughly four inches in diameter and six inches long directly at Quintus, meanwhile, he tugs on the hook connecting the two with all his might, digging in both legs and pulling his tendrils over his shoulder, aiming to force Quintus off his balance, and stumble forward into the lauched spike
Just humans... Danksuya thinks, over the job details, nothing was wrong here, he didn't have to kill anyone, just the pursuit of knowledge, it helps that he also got some power to compete with the others, Danksuya then looks up and meets the gaze again with his eyes, smirking a bit I accept. How would you change the nature of events? I should know I can help out in that. That is the terms right? I help you do your thing. You give me power.
Learn his true goal... [Kazuya stares at the new door, and quietly ponders at what it could actually be. This was the key, the first step to right what was wrong and left unfinished. He was able to complete the first test. And with some luck, he would be able to show the true nature of human beings, at least, the one he believed was the real one.] Maybe there isn't a truth in this, just a dim light in the dark. [Not a blinding light, or pure dark, but just enough to see. That is hope, and what he held on to pull through this time. Be it alone against an army, or an entire world against this one, seemingly unbeatable snake.] Just hold on a bit longer. [Kazuya then steps through the door, back to reality.]
Ene
{If a snake could smile Clearing Eyes certainly would as he finally lowers his head enough to look upon his new ally on equal terms.} We will change the nature of events by using the power given to us to persuade the others onto a better path. With stealing eyes you will certainly accomplish much in helping to improve upon humanity. That is all I need from you and in return you will get to permanently keep the power you were given today. {Clearing Eyes clears his body revealing a door to lead Danksuya back to his world.} A pleasure doing business with you human.
The hook gets pulled by Gamma pulling Quintus forward for a moment but he stands firm as if some force is keeping him planted on the ground. I...already told you...no matter what you do...I won't fall! The roots moves around wildly next to his feet before the try to form into a shield to stop the ice. The ice though slips through most of the roots and is only slowed as opposed to stopped. It hits Quintus in the chest as he begins to bleed before the icicle hits the ground. The wound in his chest is deep but tolerable thanks to the small amount of energy siphoned from the blood before and his increased durability thanks to Yggdrasil. The roots wrapped around the dark tendrils finally begin to try burying themselves into the dark tendrils in an attempt to break them apart from within.
The roots burrow into the tendrils, piercing them. But, rather than the tendrils breaking apart solidly, they bend around the roots, instead of there being one, there are now many thinner, weaker tendrils connected to the unfortunate hookworm. Looking around the area, there are still 22 undetonated mines. Only two of which are close enough for Quintus to be in the blast radius of, those directly to his sides, but it should work well enough. Nice try, but piercing them won't solve it, no matter how many times you do so. Still, you're a lot tougher than you look. Another time, another place, you probably would have been quite impressive. Gamma keeps hold of the tendril with his right, and makes a circular motion for Shiranui with his free left, before snapping his fingers Now then, Shiranui, Deathbound. Gamma's persona roars before a ring of raw physical force slams through the air. It strikes each of the remaining mines, causing them to burst upon contact, before continuing on its way. The ring approaches Quintus himself, and regardless, would strike the two orbs around him, causing them to burst into a shower of ice and curse energy.
Convincing people isn't my forte but I can try. Danksuya then takes a look at Dankdog, waving for him to follow as he takes one good look at Clearing Eyes, nodding one last time as he walks toward the for door, stepping through it
Ene
{Dankdog follows Danksuya back to the real world.} {Clearing Eyes then once again appears above Gamma and Quintus with a disinterested glare.} I wonder why one of you aren't dead yet? Is it really that hard for a human to end another human? I thought this was the specialty of your kind.
Feeling the approaching wave of raw physical energy Quintus looks around to weigh his options knowing that the detonation of the nearby mines wouldn't help him recover. Suddenly, he remembers Hookworm. The tree shaped Persona sinks back into the ground in mere seconds as Quintus recalls the blade while the dark tendrils still stick to it. Rather than bringing it back he knew that the result would instead be him being drawn forward. He gets launched off the ground just as the death bound wave is about to reach him as he flies straight through it and away from the detonating mines. The shock-wave left him a little beat up but it was a preferable option to being near the mines when they went off. Using the momentum of the hook he lunges at Gamma as the golden energy swirls around him once more. Directly behind him Yggdrasil grows out of the ground as he nears Gamma. You've left me on the defensive for too long...Now it's time things to turn in my favor! Roots begin appearing around the now close-by Yggdrasil. A total of 5 of the dark colored roots begin approaching Gamma in an attempt to restrain every part of his body. Quintus lands in front of Gamma as he forms the other hook blade in his left hand. Rather than attacking himself he prepares to stand guard against Gamma himself.
Gamma takes a deep breath, now probably wasn't the best time to lose his temper Look, I don't want to kill the kid, and besides, people are rather bad at dying anyways. *sigh* All I've ever asked is for you to explain yourself Clearing-Eyes. If this doesn't show how far I'd go, I don't know what will. Gamma briefly glances at the snake, he can't take his focus off for too long after all Whatever happens here, I expect to be hearing something from you, alright? I trust that deal will suffice. This momentary distraction proves long enough for Gamma to fail to notice Quintus's roots until it was too late, Gamma mutters something under his breath and forms another, much smaller icicle. This one roughly 2 inches in diameter, three inches deep. Diamond Dust, now In the moment before the roots reach Gamma, he launches a final icicle directly at Quintus's head, hoping that the now much-shorter distance would leave him unable to react in time
Ene
{The snake is left blinking at Gamma's manner of taking charge but recovers it's usual composure.} You will certainly here from me the next time if you survive that is. {A raspy laugh comes from it as it finally leaves.} Good luck~ May winner take the path home. {A door opens up inside the nearest tree leading back to the real world.}
The icicle being as close as it is nearly pieces Quintus' head directly. At the last moment he manages to raise the hook blade almost by instinct. It's as if someone is moving it for him rather than his hand acting on its own. As if the blade has a will of its own and is moving his hand with it. The icicle's direction is changed ever so slightly as it runs along the side of his head causing a large gash to form on the side of his head. He grasps it in pain as the roots finally close in on Gamma to restrain every one of his limbs. Blood runs along the side of Quintus' head as he moves closer to Gamma before lifting his blade. You already know how I feel...but, are you afraid to die? He swings the blade towards Gamma's chest. Not to cut him or cause a fatal wound but to simply siphon a bit of his blood to add to his own life-force. He would then pull the blade away and allow Gamma to answer his question. The eyes of the blade look towards Gamma. They almost seem excited to hear him reply.
Bound as he is, Gamma is incapable of moving away from the blade, he hardly seems to flinch as its stabbed into him and then drawn out. After a moment, Gamma finally looks Quintus in the eyes. Like usual, they're cold, and distant. But it almost seems as though there's something more. Or rather, its the lack of anything, any passion, any fear, that stands out. I don't want to die. If that's what you're asking. There are too many people I have to keep moving for. The serpent, miss Homura. Two of her actually, long story that one. Gamma sighs and does his best to shake his head. Probably sounding crazy there, but at this point who cares? But no, I can't really say I'm scared of dying. *chuckle* Can't even beat someone who literally got their abilities five minutes ago. Honestly, can you think of anyone more worthless than that..... I just have one request. If you do kill me, make sure to continue reaching out to Clearing Eyes. Most of his life all people ever did was fear or assault him. Another time, another place where I met him. Tried talking. You wanna know what he said? The serpent asked "why aren't you attacking me?" The idea of actually sitting down and talking to someone simply hadn't crossed his mind in such a long time. I became good friends with the other Clearing Eyes. Maybe you'll be able to make it up to this one.
Quintus sighs before looking back to Gamma. He seems to have genuine concern in his eyes as he stares into his eyes devoid of emotion. Could you...maybe just be more scared? Like, I'm really going to kill you y'know? You'll stop existing and you won't...uh...exist anymore... Aren't you scared? At least a little... Dammit...I'm not good at this, am I? Quintus eyes look tired as his body seems to be healing just d=from the blood he siphoned already. The eyes of the blade look up to Quintus almost as if demanding something. Suddenly his eyes light up as he looks back to the hooked blade. I'm trying, Hook. Please...I...I can't help it if they're not afraid. Just wait a little longer... Quintus holds the blade up before taking another slash with the intention of taking more blood from Gamma.
This time Gamma flinches as the blade falls down, his breathing is starting to slow a little, but its nothing major. Gamma looks back up at Quintus. He seems more concerned than anything now, his eyes have warmed up a little, but still lack the drive that most cornered animals would find You know, I asked you to do something. Aren't you at least polite enough to promise me that? I only regret that I won't be there anymore. For their sake. If it were just me, well, I'd have probably done something stupid a long time ago. Gotten myself killed that way. Especially around here, a lot easier than doing it yourself
Quintus begins shaking slightly, not from a fear of his own demise but from the fear of causing another. He looks at Gamma as his eyes fill with that fear and the eyes begin looking at him with more ferocity. He grabs at his head as the roots seem to tighten slightly. Stop shouting at me! I...Isn't this enough for you...This is as close as we're going to get. He's not going to have much fear. I can see it in his eyes. So can I just stop now? The blade's eyes seem to roll as they begin to close. The blades begin to retract back into his hands as the one being held by the dark tendrils reels back as well. The roots don't budge though as Quintus sits on the ground in front of Gamma. His eyes begin growing watery as he begins reminiscing on his recently recovered memories. Save them yourself. I won't kill you. I'm no murderer. I just wanted to make you afraid but I couldn't even get a reaction like that out of you. Maybe you had something to gain by killing but I don't really care about what this Clear eyes or whatever they call themselves wants.
By now the tendrils would dissipate, as Gamma is currently unable to provide them with any energy. The man himself simply sighs and shakes his head, unable to do much more Go figure, I'm stuck in limbo again. Never a good person, never a bad one. Unable to move forward or back. Just lost, wandering the world. *chuckle* Well, if you're not going to do anything. The door's open. Gamma finally moves against the roots, reaching for his back. Finding that to be futile, he simply sighs Honestly, i consider this more a test than anything. Hardly won a fight since I got here, looks like this is no different. I honestly don't see myself succeeding, whatever I end up doing. I like to act tough, but honestly that's it. Pretty much the weakest person here. Weakest user anyways. Stuck in the middle again, not incompetent enough to fade away, not good enough to advance. Anyways, I'm sure you have something better to do than listen to my ramblings. Might be a good idea to go.
Quintus looks up towards Gamma almost feeling bad for his outburst. He feels at very least he should be honest with him about a few things. Odd that he was thinking this way when they had just been trying to kill each other a little while ago. This isn't actually my first time using a Persona but the last time I did certainly didn't go well either. I learned how to use its basic abilities and that's it really. Wait, did you say the doors open? But, they left it open before anyone actually died...Why? Didn't they mean for us to kill one another. The roots begin loosening slightly as Quintus walks over to try and find the door back home.
Gamma finally has enough moving room to shrug, astonishing. He does so while slowly trying to get the roots off him Honestly, sometimes it feels like he's playing four dimensional chess or something. Perhaps all he wanted was to see we were willing to. At least, willing to try. Gamma sighs and nods to the nearest ordinary tree, unable to do much else to indicate Its right over there. Opened a little ago. Snake said he'd finally explain things to me next time. So... The thought that counts I guess? I dunno. Anyways, my back's kinda itching, and I'm not looking forward to losing yet another fight, so would you mind letting me go now? *sigh* Even burned a spellcard there. Those are such a pain to make.
Quintus looks over to Gamma before walking towards the tree he gestured to and checking the door. He turns back to Gamma with a apologetic look on his face as the roots begin to fade away as well as Yggdrasil's form. S-sorry...I was a bit wound up back there. I'm still not used to using this power again either. My body feels pretty sore...I want to get back home soon... Quintus would open the door and head through looking tired from the long fight. It was the first fight he's been seriously injured in as far as he can remember but he's glad he didn't have to kill someone. Gamma may seem cold and even was willing to kill him but he almost respects that he'd go so far for the sake of someone else. He would begin to head towards the home he had been using in the Nexus to hopefully begin recovering. After that he decided to head for the Sun Mall from before. The man in the red coat had once told him of a old man who lived there and he finally decided it was time to pay them a visit.
Gamma stretches and rubs his arms, to get some of the ache out of them. He scratches his back for a moment, and breathes a sigh of relief Well then, that wasn't so bad kid.... I'll remember you for sure. As for now, well, looks like the snake cleared out. Sucks that I used my last one though..... Now what? Gamma would approach the door, and linger on this side of it for some time. He looks back over the note he found.... Its worth keeping for sure. If nothing else were to happen, Gamma would head out on his own way. Back to the Naga hotel. If Clearing-Eyes ever felt the need to talk to him, well, he's pretty sure the snake has something to do with it. Its been a long night for him, so all he'd do is prepare to sleep, and hopefully be ready for next time. As for Quintus, well, he was an honest guy, and not afraid to defend himself. Though he'd never seek out a fight, its a rather good way to live. Hopefully next time they'll be able to work together, but with life, who knows?
